"Let's go, I don't want to spend much time here. The sooner I can get you prepared the better. Matt said as they talked from that particular spot to the main battle field. As they appeared on the scene, they saw multiple Gamma members training their psychic pokemon. The only person who stood out was a woman who wore her golden silk-like her as a veil and her eyes like the rarest jewels from another country. She was truly a sight to behold. Matt and Kujo quickly walked up to here and Matt spoke "May I ask you what your name as?" She spoke like a jigglybuff in a quiet forest. "My name is Loraine, I am the Leader of this branch." Matt replied with a humble voice As the leader of the Root Town branch, I would like to ask you for a challenge." Fine, I accept your challenge." Loraine replied with a slight bow. Surprisingly, the people in Team Gamma were very polite. "Oh, I'm not the one challenging. It is my friend here Lee." It was certain that Matt didn't want to use Kujo's real name due to everyone knowing about what happened in Johto.

Loraine stretched and started bending to become nimble. "Okay let's get this thing started cutey~!" She said as she winked at Kujo. She then threw an ultra ball in the air. A flash of light came out of the ball and out appeared a Slowking. "This will be a 1 on 1 battle. No substitutions as rules state. If you win, you get to have my title and 1 pokemon of mine, but if I win you have to be my slave for a day." It seemed that she didn't show the Gardevoir.

(Holy heck, they have t-shirts! Did he use curse and focus punch at the same time?)

It had been uncertain that Kujo could even blush redder than before but he managed to accomplish such a feat. "Um, ma'am? I have a girlfriend already and, um..." The people here were terrifying and he really hoped this would take the edge off the crowd's hatred.

Slowking was tough, about the only thing Trevor had going for him was how much faster he was, it was too bad that the Slowking was so slow that Trevor didn't have the patience to pull off faint attack. Dark type moves are good for Slowkings.

Trevor was even more ticked off that there was no apparent reaction from the slowking and clamped down harder with his jaws. This meant he didn't let go in time to get out of the way of the punch despite Kujo's urging him to get out of the way. The mawile remembered why it was a good idea to listen to his trainer when the pain exploded through his skull. Kujo had to stop himself from using the Mawile's name since that would probably give him away.

"Use Faint Attack properly this time! Don't let your guard down just because he moves more slowly! Dodging is the first priority!" Kujo was thinking, curse raised defense and attack. Mawile had high defense but the weakness against focus punch was a problem, he couldn't dodge that forever. Flash cannon was a special type move but water wasn't affected as much by steel. That and Slowking had terrific special attack defense. The dark type attacks seemed to be his best bet. Crunch also could sometimes weaken defenses too which would help counter the defense boost from curse.



Obeying the attack command was not a problem for Trevor and he tried again. the slowking was going to have to dodge a swing from behind. Trevor was using the massive second mouth appendage for a bludgeon covered in dark energy.

Kujo glared "Yes, yes I am uncomfortable." This didn't look like a battle he could win.Trevor kept using crunch and kept at the Slowking's back with his speed. He didn't particularly care if the Slowking kept using recover and didn't take much damage, he would keep using crunch until the slowking finally fell over.

Well, there was something he could try, The trainer had a code for fake tears. "I know this looks hopeless, but don't give up yet...Okay?" Trevor turned his head to look at Kujo and tears welled in its eyes before it looked hopelessly at the slowking, "Wile? Maw?" it burst out crying. Kujo knew the performance was fake but still couldn't help but feel bad for the mawile.

Special defense down, thought Kujo, Curse can't fix that. He hadn't really thought about what he would do if he lost, he was going after a Team Gamma Captain and she had to have won against numerous other people who were as good or better than Kujo so he wasn't sure why he didn't just run for it with the help of the Unown. Sypha needed him and he couldn't bring himself to leave even if it was to try a different plan of attack.

Also, he wanted to see what Loraine would do if she lost. The unown weren't helping because that would be cheating but Kujo hoped that they could teleport him out if things got worse. But then what about Matt? Matt had brought him here so if he just ran suspicion would be thrown on Matt!

Kujo was liking Matt's plan even less than he had before.

"Flash cannon!" Kujo cried and Trevor shot at the Slowking with the steel type beam as the trick box enclosed them. "Keep going and don't give up! Its special defense is down!"

Trevor did not answer as it was busy blasting at slowking with the bright grey laser. He refused to lose to something it considered so very stupid and Kujo fervently hoped that Trevor could dodge the inevitable focus punch that was coming.

"Trevor!"

The Mawile, thanks to the eerie bending of space that was a trick room, was not able to dodge the Slowking's powerful strike. Trevor was heavier than he looked but he was sent flying and hit the wall with a loud clang and fainted. "...you did great buddy." Kujo said even though he wasn't sure the Mawile was hearing anything. Time to face the consequences of the plan since he couldn't bolt without Matt being put in danger of suspicion. He hoped his acting was up to the test and returned Trevor to the pokeball.

"So Matt was right, you are really tough." Kujo lied, he didn't have to fake the annoyance and disappointment but he did have to attempt to conceal his rage at losing to someone like Loraine. "What do you require today ma'am? Would you have me cook dessert for the whole building? Sort through the letters of your admirers to see which ones are worthy of your attention?" Actually... the cooking was possibly the best outcome. Chances were though he'd be asked to do something illegal like pokemon theft.
