[Rochelle - tag Carltis]

The noise she made could only be described as 'hee', Rochelle drawing her knees up to semi cuddle into herself. "You are indeed a Harper. Drawing and lapharps and everything. Another sip at the wine and... s**t, and then the serious things, with colors and Carltis having his own self issues.

"You are so not less important than they are." She shook her head and shifted closer, moving to lean on him just a little. If he pulled back, she'd not topple but... it existed. "They have more power but you're the one with a brain and ideas beyond the box."

Her foot moved, boot tapping against his in return. She dared a glance in his direction. "The blue is happy with his life, I guess. Wanting more for yourself doesn't mean denying other people anything. He just can't see that. You can. S'how you change it. If you give up, then you're just doing that whole... Whole self fufilling then. You say bad things are going to happen, get sad, and so the bad things happen."

Jordan
(Tag Felix and Self)

Jordan observed the quick attempt to keep the conversation going and checked it off as a good sign. It didn't mean this was going to end in a dalliance, of course, but Jordan wouldn't mind if it did. Trine had been somewhat... dry (not that Benden had been much better, but better was still better). He glanced over at the girl as the man pointed her out, but she was making an exit now, leaving the pitcher she'd been pouring from unattended on the table by the cups. So much for dedication to her duties.

A sudden movement from the dolphin-tatooed man drew Jordan's attention back, but it was too late. He had been thoroughly drawn into a social situation, something that for him usually ended in a dry comment and him making his exit or with someone angry because he had somehow offended their sensibilities in one way or another. Pity. He'd been hoping to have a chance to make a positive impression before something like this happened... But there was no help for it now. He would just be himself and hope they didn't do anything so unbearably stupid that he needed to comment. He would just have to look at them as puzzles instead of people-- which wasn't difficult, since that was basically all people were. Big puzzles.

Jordan was a rock beneath Felix's sudden buffet, but he did give Kala and Talakor a quick once over before he commenced the socializing. "Hello," he greeted. He glanced back at the table and saw a new drudge stalking over looking huffy and exasperated. Clearly, the girl was not meant to have left her post for any length of time and had left her task for someone else to pick up. At least someone was picking it up. Jordan could do with a drink about now for several reasons.

Kala and Talakor
(Tag Felix and Self)

The welcoming greeting put a grin on Talakor's face and when he reached the group he gave Felix a slap of greeting on the arm. He did love a good party and he knew he wasn't likely to get into too much trouble with Felix and Kala. Maybe with this new guy Felix had found somewhere. Pretty quiet so far, though, so not much likelihood of Talakor causing a fight unless he really prodded the guy. Sleeping dragon stuff and all that.

"Well, let's get drinks then," Tal encouraged, moving up to the table as the drudge reached the pitcher. "Hello there. Two cups of ale for us."

"Three," Kala corrected, noticing that Felix's new friend was without one as well. "And please, Tal."

"No problem," he replied, pretending not to notice that Kala was actually correcting his poor manners. "Three cups, then, thanks."

Kala just looked away. She didn't encourage him in those kind of moods; she would set about correcting him later. "Are you already enjoying yourself, Felix? We haven't had a chance to do much yet. What a speech, though, right?"

Orlina
(Tag Zarike)

Orlina jumped at the sudden exclamation that turned out to be her name, and the unceremonious demand did indeed get her attention-- and everyone else's at the table. When she saw the bundle of red in his arms, though, Orlina let out a semi-squeal of her own.

"Oh! Zarike! Congratulations!" She leaned forward to get a better look. The firelizard was small enough that Zarike probably could have fit her comfortably in his palm with no trouble. A ridiculously delicate little thing. "What are you calling her? Oh, she's lovely!"

Orlina turned in her seat, leaving the others to their conversation, though it seemed they had abandoned it to get a good look at Zarike's bundle as well. "I have a tiny egg on the fire at the Barracks. I wonder if that'll be an atypical, too!" Orlina hadn't really thought about it before, but if that was the case then she was going to need to get something to crack the shell with without damaging the baby inside. Star was back there, keeping an eye on it, making sure no one else got near the pot. There were too many people in Trine to assume that no one would steal her egg if she left it alone.

Tyeth
(Tag Calanoth and dragons)

Tyeth had kept some distance from Suunath without making it obvious. Mostly he was sitting with Plexith and Suunath had happened to come over, not for him, but for Cepheith. It cut into already stinging wounds, but Tyeth studiously ignored it. She had chosen a lesser Bronze and that was her problem now. He only hoped the eggs weren't entirely made up of duds.

Calanoth's arrival was expected, but irritating. If dragons could sneer, Tyeth might have been inclined, but he was above that sort of reaction and simply stared at Calanoth instead. No need to let on that Calanoth's victory had bothered him, even temporarily. And it would be temporary.

Calanoth.

He turned his attention back to Plexith and Cepheith, ignoring stand-offish Suunath and her brainless Bronze.

Dizzian
(tag Mercy, Hekate)

Dizzian bobbed her head and laughed, taking the attempted joke for what it was. "Fair Point!" Her demeanor sobered as she turned to grab a glass of juice. "I'm sorry about that by the way. It still seems un-real to me. Ever since I Impressed Courath it seems the world has gone insane. Like I've been having a very long, very vivid dream." There she went again on awkward topics.

Dizzian glanced away and saw Hekate sitting down by herself. She waited till her friend looked up then waved till she was spotted. She didn't want to leave Mercy in the middle of conversation but she wasn't sure how Hekate would react if she had to talk with their teacher at the moment.

Ailin
(tag Niyx)

Ailin paused in his search for a seat as he heard his name called. Using his height to his advantage he looked over the sea of heads till he saw a brightly clothed arm waving in the air. Niyx! He smiled and nodded, acknowledging that he saw her and changed directions. Within a few moments he was stepping over the bench beside her, folding his long frame into the small space available. "Thank you." He murmured as he sat. "Everyone is on their best behavior I suspect." He lifted his cup to his lips and sipped at the innocent juice within. "I wonder if the Harpers will change their set list after such a passionate speech."

Cai
(tag Meroc, Bereck)

A tremor crept it's way up her spine and into her shoulders as she tensed. She whirled around, her loose hair flying around her head as green eyes glared at the familiar voice and presence behind her. Instinctively, as she was occasioned to do when males got up in her business, Cai swatted at his face, her hand catching at his broad hat. "Fine until you showed up!" She snapped. A few steps took her to an acceptable distance from the harper. Her nerves jangled from the violation of her personal space.

Gingko popped between over the Masterhealer's bed and landed gently on his nightstand, careful to avoid any papers or other objects that might otherwise occupy it. She peeped quietly, not wanting to disturb him or any of his fair should they be sleeping. Sudden Emotions from Hers made her shuffle her wings anxiously though.

Zarike

Suddenly surrounded by staring people, Zarike's grin widened evern further. "Dorado! It's what the Ancients first called Southern I think. Her wings look like rivers on a map." Like Terra, Zarike had pulled the name out of some musty old record on ancientcrafting that his father had. Even though he was being trained as a harper, Zarike had been given a bit of information on multiple crafts. Anything that might attract and hold the too-curious kid's attention for longer than a few minutes.

He lifted the little baby out of the crook of his arm and cupped her within his hands. Dorado uncurled and peered about with a tilted head, turning to look at each person staring at her. For being practically hidden from the world up until now she was taking to others fairly well. Dorado had yet to actually fly from Zarike and explore but he hoped that would come with time. It's not like she didn't know how. He figured she was just shy for now.

"Really? Did Star have a clutch?" He asked with excitement. "Dorado's egg was reaaaally small. I bet yours is!"

Felix
(tag Kala, Talakor, Jordan)

Felix glanced at Jordan with a hint of surprise, feeling the man's strength beneath his hand. He gave this friendly stranger a half grin and raised his mug in the air. "To Drinks!" He laughed and waited for Kala and Talakor to settle the business of getting them all good and schnockered. Kala's question was then answered with a nod. "Only just got started. I got here a while ago but Nomah wanted to explore the shore first." He shrugged to the second half. " I suppose so. These Trine kids seem to have that patriotic thing down at least. It sounded a little rough around the edges if you ask me."

"Oh! By the way." He turned back to Jordan. "I'm Felix. The girl's Kala and the funny one is Talakor. We're visiting from the Dolphin Hall." Felix introduced them, the tone of his voice hinting that Jordan should return the favor once he was finished.

The party was well under way and much to Abigail's satisfaction. The music was light and playful, the food wonderful, the lights well selected and the company was much enjoying itself. It was, perhaps, one of the first evenings since the Revolution where everyone was actually having a good time.

As Abigail considered this, she grew uneasy. It was too good. If anything had taught her to be wary, it was her role as Weyrwoman. Brakiath picked up on her rider's unease and rumbled, lashing her tail as she mantled her wings and shook her shoulders, scanning the area much as a mother would survey for predators. The gold inhaled deeply and pulled her head up high as the wind carried the scent of blood to her.

In the distance a man was staggering through the grass, clutching his chest as the stench of blood clung to him. Beware, dragons. Trouble descends upon us. Brakiath's mental voice was slightly different and Abigail had once more gone distant, appearing to zone out even as the man staggered into the party, knocking into a table and upsetting a chair. The music twanged to a stop as he staggered through the group, wheezing from his wounds and finally collapsed on Adi, his faze trained on Abigail even as his body clung to the woman.

"Weyrwoman! Trouble!" He coughed up blood, spraying it over Adi's clothing, hands smearing it across the fabric. The man had been torn across the chest by claws or talons, weeping, oozing slashes across his body. His knees buckled and he collapsed, wheezing again.

Abigail remained impassive, barely responding to the sight before her. Instead, Brakiath seemed to step forward, her head lowering to extend over the party goers, gaze sharp and fixed on the man,

An upset raced through the dragons then, as three long, sleek shadows darted through the night. One growled as it flashed passed Berath and Becka, its feline eyes glinting in the dark. They smelled of blood too but their run was swift, in their maws slabs of meat pilfered from the stores.

Brakiath shook her head a bit then, a motion echoed by Abigail and the woman seemed to come to herself. "Help that man! What's going on?"

Adi and Mazamath

Adi was having a delightful time - she was in the process of making a new friend, there were two happy flits on her shoulder and a cup of wine in her hand, and all in all it was a very promising start to her evening. Hopefully by the end of it, she'd have found a few more friends, or maybe even a more-than-friend, but that was getting way ahead of herself. For now, she'd keep chatting with F'itz, and- hey, why had the music stopped?

Mine, Brakiath says-

And then he was on her, hurt and bloody and coughing up more blood on her, and with the way he was clinging to her, she couldn't avoid being pulled down with him. Nor could she keep from crying out, horrified and panicked and completely unequipped to cope with anything like this. But even in her terror, she was still worried about him, but..but... "I-it's okay," she stuttered, her voice cracking. "J-just hang on..."

"Help!" Somebody, anybody, please? La, having been startled from her perch when the man first grabbed onto her owner, creeled in alarm, fluttering above them.

Amongst the dragons, Mazamath roared, roused from his half-doze by the initial warning and then alarmed by his rider's panic. Mine!

Hekate
Tag Dizzian and Mercy

Hekate had risen to go greet Dizzian and in turn possibly Mercy when Senior Weyrwoman Abigail stood. The reason for her stance became apparent when the man bloody, gasping and bleeding stumbled in warning of trouble in their midst. Seeing the great gashes Hekate's mind instantly leaped to the worst possible scenarion. Whers!? Where they attacking again! Not now! Not in the open! Hadn't they stationed guards for just this sort of thing!?

Mine the Queen warns of trouble, but I am not sure of what kind. Things move in the dark.
Devith rumbled in his rider's mind going tense and defensive at the sudden change of pace as she shifted where he stood on alert. He didn't like this. He didn't like this at all. He wanted Hekate by him and he wanted her now no matter how good of a fighter she was. There was simply no replacing his presence.

Understood Devith. Stay calm and try to keep any of the other dragons from panicking. I'll be at your side soon enough. Hekate assured him glancing throughout the crowd and suddenly wishing dearly that she had a weapon. Stepping forward she came up to her friend instinctively keeping her shoulder and most of her back turned to the other Weyrling as she scanned the crowds. "Does Courath see anything Dizzian?" She questioned with a small concerned frown her cheerful demeanor drying up in favor of a practical and battle-orientated attitude.

----------------------
Niyx
Tag Ailin

"Doesn't look like there will be anymore set lists played tonight." Niyx spoke in a soft whisper as she watched the man step into the light. Finishing off her own drink she turned to Ailin and gave him a small smile. "I'm sure everything will be ok." She added in her best reassuring manner since she knew how skittish her poor friend could be on occasions.

--------------
Meroc
Tag Cai

Ducking back away from Cai's swat he reached up carefully adjusting his hat a worried look on his face until he was sure the article of clothing was in it's proper place. "Woah now! Watch the hat love!" He called to her cheerfully tilting his head at the venom in her voice, her ire only making his grin all that much more larger. "I see you're happy to see me to dearest Cai~" Meroc continued or at least would have until the wounded man stumbled into their midst. "Alas it seems you are needed and once more I shall be robbed of your company." He continued with a frown his face the picture of pain and sorrow at her imminent leave.

Cai
(tag Meroc, wounded stranger)

Cai gave him a look. His hat was not what he should be worried about right now. Cai was imagining all sorts of things she could get her hands on to slip into his food, or bed, or clothes. Things that would make living very unpleasant for him. His ears were spared her next rant as the festivities erupted into chaos. Trouble! She sent a quick image of the current scene to Gingko with a firm order to Tell Healer! Before leaving Meroc's side, his last lament going unanswered.

Cai shoved her way through the crowd to Adi's side, slipping her arm around the injured man and taking some of his weight from the young rider. "Here! Help me lay him down!" The amount of blood was astonishing though unfortunately not new to the healer girl. She'd seen that and worse during the fighting. As she got a closer look she could see they were beyond her abilities to handle. "GET THE HEALERS!" She shrieked at the crowd around her, grey eyes sparking with command. She'd sent word to Bereck but he wouldn't be able to come himself. Still he could at least tell the healers what they could expect.

Gingko's quiet attempts to attract attention were dropped as she keened in alarm. She scrabled around the dresser in her panic, sending images of blood and wounds and frightened people to anyone within receiving distance.

Loveth
((Tag Courath, Devith))

Ah, she'd said she would stay there on the outskirts, but...it just looked like so much fun in there! And then Courath's voice reached her followed quickly by Devith's. Well...that was an invitation, yes? Continuing her almost bouncing, she carefully made her way through the crowd. Loveth wasn't shy to quickly apologize to whoever she managed to bump into; opps, that poor boy didn't fall did he? No, okay good.

And then she was at the green and silver's side. Courath! Devith! I'm soo happy to see you both again~ An affectionate nuzzle was quickly given to the green and she was about to turn to do the same to Devith before pausing and looking at him curiously. She had not really done so to him before and her bondmate had warned her about being too affectionate to those who might not like it. We have been having a few...difficulties. Loveth wasn't sure if that was the word but it seemed to be the only one that fit right.

Her manner seemed to droop slightly but after a moment she brightened right back up. But we have worked through it and I've finally managed to convince her to come out of her moping. 'Don't forget one reason why we came, Love.' OH! Congragulations! You and yours have done so much for the Weyr! I'm sure you're just about busting with pride! And then there was Brakiath's warning. Loveth's head snapped around and immediately began looking for hers. Mine!

'Yes.'

Aislin had been happily shoving food into her mouth as soon as she reached the tables; after all, when would there be this much food that tasted this great? Of course, the food was quickly abandoned the moment she felt the panic start in Loveth. The weyrling's eyes shot straight to where she had last seen her...but she wasn't there! Growling quietly to herself, she slipped through the crowd until bright pink caught her eye. Something is out there, be careful.

Well, she didn't plan on being a meal for anything. Eyes narrowed, she caught sight of the injured man and froze. No, no. Were the whers back? Did they come to finish the job? A louder growl and she stormed past people, not bothering to apologize until she reached Loveth's side. Anger was slowly starting to build in her chest. Why did things always end up going so wrong when things just started getting peaceful again? And why didn't she have a weapon? Note to self; start carrying a weapon at all times. As soon as her Aislin was there, Loveth nearly trampled the poor girl. She was so worried! They needed to stick together and it would be safer if they stayed here with Devith and Courath and theirs. "Maybe Dizzian and Hekate will have weapons..." She mumbled to herself.

If something was out there it had better show itself or run off, cause she was no longer in a patient mood. Shard it all.

Dizzian
(tag Mercy, Hekate, Brakiath, Cepheith, Suunath)

Dizzian screamed. The young weyrling shrieked bloody murder when she saw the man torn apart by claws. Flash backs of the revolution, of seeing Courath broken and dripping ichor on the forest floor, of seeing weyrfolk both dead and alive, torn just like this man was, all flashed through her mind. Their barrage finally sliced through by the steel voice in her head. ~ MINE! They are too small for whers but what they are I cannot tell! There is no feeling to their minds!~

Dizzian sank to the floor, her knees failing her in her paniced state. Gasping and blubbering, she tried desperately to answer Hekate's question. "N-n-no, wh, wh- huh-her-rs!" Between her broken sobs she didn't know if she'd be understood but she could do no better at that moment.

Outside Courath was on her feet in an instant, teeth bared and wings spread to make herself look better. Whatever threatened them it was leaving but the scent of blood was overpowering. It didn't smell like the slabs that were held in the creature's mouths. In the dark she was helpless to see further. She'd risk her neck if she charged after them in the dark. Courath also wouldn't leave her rider behind in a state of hysterics. Only the fear of trampling others kept her from going to Dizzian's side.

She did the only thing she could do right now. Courath turned to face the Golds. ~ Brakiath, Cepheith, Suunath! We need a plan! What are your orders?! ~ Courath and her siblings were old enough to be useful but young enough to be small. Courath would not sit by while her Weyr was in danger yet again. Determination blazed in her young eyes.

Ailin
(tag Niyx)

How she could think everything would be ok was beyond Ailin's grasp. The girl had always been a little strange though. He wasn't as bothered by the events unfolding as she thought he might be. Ailin took at look at the injured man the grimaced, averting his eyes back to his own plate. He didn't eat but stared resolutely at it. Like before he would have no part in this. Ailin protected himself and no one else and the best way to do that was to keep himself invisible until things settled down.

He did move to allow his terrified flit to hide in his lap, the small creature practically trying to claw it's way into his stomach.

Narisa and Cepheith
[Tag to Set'al/Pip, Plexith, Suunath, Aerith, Brakiath... all dragons]

She was glad to see people being well mannered and congratulating Hekate instead of trying to start anything. And Narisa had to admit, it did make her feel better to have seen the amount of rider's that seemed to be hanging around the girl. They could keep an eye on her... and anyone that approached. The Goldrider was just glad to be so far managing to escape without anyone stopping her-

Oh fardles! Someone was calling her name. She paused, pasting on her pleasant-but-not-quite-real smile before turning to look over her shoulder. And then the smile brightened as she waved. "Set'al!" Thank Faranth it was him. Making her way back through the crowd, she slipped around people until she could grab her friends arm. "I'm glad you're here. At least one person won't be all serious on me!"

If the passing Gold paused for a moment to admire Plexith's wings and send him an extra croon, she couldn't really be blamed. Such a sweet Bronze he was. Dear Plexith, I thank you with the glow of the stars in the night sky for such lovely words. Keep a spot warm for me and I shall join you soon. Cepheith promised. How could she not after that?! Her attention shifted to Calanoth, whom she dipped her head again towards, acknowlodging his greeting.

I am glad, darling. She said sweetly to Pipith, settling beside him for the time being. An affectionate nuzzle was given before her attention drifted towards another familiar dragon. I am glad you both are doing well, Aerith! Cepheith paused for a moment, conferring with her rider briefly. Mine and I would like you to know that you can call upon us at any time. We hope the student wasn't too much trouble. She sent a wave of cheerful emotions to the little white dragon. We are doing quite well ourselves, thank you!

At Suunath's arrival, Cepheith rose enough to bump her head against her fellow Gold's. I had to convince mine a little as well. They both need some fresh air instead of being locked up in the hut. Settling again, Cepheith let her eyes roam curiously around the part goers.

Hearing Brakiath's warning, Cepheith was sitting up and alert, eyes swirling between mellow blue and orangish-red. A deep rumble vibrated from her chest as she sought out what this 'trouble' was. Mine, trouble. Be careful. And stay with Pipith's!

Larger dragons keep an eye out for more. Smaller dragons, try to keep the humans safe. Cepheith informed all dragons for the time being, thinking quickly. Brakiath, what would you have us do? She turned to her senior Queen for guidance.

Microth
[Tag to Hailith]

Microth decided quite quickly that she liked this Green! She giggled and rose to move closer while she chatted. Oh I am glad! It is such a nice night. That would be fabulous! They really should do aerial displays. I'd love watching that! Maybe joining in too. She glanced towards the males nearby, giving them a curious look. And then giggling again. I agree! They should clearly help us make this more fun! Just the idea of doing something mischievous had Microth feeling much more excited about this gathering then before!

Even the sudden intrusion in her mind from a Gold didn't dampen her spirits. It caught her off guard, making the Green pause and her eyes grow a worried yellow but then the prospect of figuring out what was causing trouble had her mantling her wings and fidgting in place. Ooooh! I wonder what it is?!

Kodi

There was suddenly a person. A bleeding person! Oh sweet Faranth what was going on?! Kodi froze up where she sat, eyes widening as she stared towards the man that had stumbled into someone. There were... things running about. Shadows it looked like. Or at least what she thought might be one of them. She wasn't sure, only having caught a glimpse of something darting by.

Set'al
Tag Narisa

"Caught you," Set'al teased, grinning broadly, and laid his free hand over hers on his arm. "I think after that speech, I've about had my dose of seriousness for the day. What do you say we find something not s- What's that?"

The bronzerider cut himself off and looked to see what the sudden commotion was about. A man, wounded and bleeding, warning of trouble, calls for help...something was very, very wrong. Instinctively, he pulled his friend closer, at the same time sending an inquiry to his dragon to see if he could find out more about what was going on. "Stay with me. There's something out there."

Pipith
Tag Calanoth, Cepheith

Calanoth, the smallest of the bronzes had replied when addressed, his tone neutral. Any earlier in the evening and he might have been less than pleased by the Malvren bronze's presence, but with Cepheith present and attentive to him, he had no concern for who had won another gold. He had the best gold, which clearly made him the best bronze.

He returned the junior gold's nuzzle and thrummed with pleasure, practically radiating happiness. She had called him 'darling'! He basked in this and took his time formulating a reply while the gold did a little mingling - he wouldn't want to interrupt her! - but before he could speak, Brakiath's voice was in all their minds. Something was wrong. Nearby, a dragon roared. Pipith was on his feet in a moment, mantling his wings and baring his teeth at the darkness. Yes, my Queen. His orange-red gaze darted back and forth. He would keep an eye out, yes, and he would see...whatever it was he was looking for! Anything you ask, I will do.

To his rider, he sent, Keep her safe, Mine.

Roscoe
Tag N'mol & Kindra

Whatever was happening between N'mol and Kindra was going to have to be put on the back pot for the time being. Roscoe didn't have a dragon...but he didn't need one to hear the screams or see the torn up person flail and drag someone down with him. Familiar. Too familiar...and he didn't have a weapon, why did he never have a weapon?

A nearby chair caught the corner of his eye and he whirled, picking it up and bashing it against the ground until one of the legs broke off. Picking up the makeshift club he turned haunted eyes on N'mol. "Not being caught weaponless again. Not doing it." Like Dizzian and probably several others his mind had instantly jumped to a wher attack.

D'lin & Plexith
Tag Kleos, Z'fer - All dragons who can hear him

D'lin smiled as Hekate excused herself, his duty done he had turned to converse with the former Malvren Wingleaders when Plexith's sudden unease made him still.

'Blood on the wind' Came the dragons warning only half a second before the flailing bloody man made his presence known and all chaos broke loose. 'Cepheith commands us to guard.' Plexith informed his rider even as D'lin was still trying to process everything. Ceta..where was Ceta? A quick scan of the crowd proved nothing and he couldn't very well go shoving through the crowd to find her. She would be fine..she was resourceful - and putting that fear to the back of his mind as something he couldn't afford right now he looked to his fellow Wingriders.

"We need to keep the crowd calm while we find out what happened, Everyone's about to go into hysterics and we don't need a hysterical crowd on top of whatever it was." As if on cue some wailing started up over by the food tables.'Anything Plexith?'

'No it is to dark.' The bronze responded and having taken Cepheiths words to heart he rumbled at his nearby brethren. 'A double circle, the larger of us on the outside, the smaller within to keep ours safe' The bespoke them all, seeking to set up a perimeter.

'Tell me if it changes' D'lin responded, leaving his dragon to handle himself for the time being. He glanced to where Abigail stood but she was looking a touch out of it and his unease heightened.

"Everyone Stay calm!, Gather in the light, keep your eyes open, look after one another and we'll figure out what happened." He shouted at the crowd in a vain attempt to enforce some sort of discipline on the them. While he himself started towards Abigail with a glance at his fellows to see if they were following. As Wingleaders they would likely be needed there.

Mercy

Mercy had turned to smile at Hekate as she stood and approached, ready to offer her congratulations on her award. It was the right thing to do, lessons troubles or not...but then Dizzian started screaming and slipping to the floor. Since Hekate seemed to be keeping and eye out and Mercy knew she could trust the women to do so with her friend here in danger, Mercy tried to help Dizzian as she blubbered.

"Deep breath's" She urged the panicked and clearly still traumatized girl. "Borrow from your dragon what you don't have yourself. You can feel how she feels yes? Focus on her emotions." She urged the women.

"I think she said 'no wher's" She answered Hekate, trying to make sense of the girls speech.

'Aerith?'
'The dragons order a double perimeter, larger to the outside, smaller to the inside, we cannot see what it is in the dark' Aerith informed her rider, wings shifting nervously as she peered into the shadows. But the white trusted her larger brethren and had done at they requested, finding a spot among the greens/ blues and younger dragons to guard and hopefully encircle the humans.

Eliza & Velath

Having stomped off from D'lin in order to find someone else to speak with Eliza found herself alone when the bloody man appeared and now she froze unsure what to do...except draw closer and try to find out what was happening. Working her way through the crowd she did so, while Velath informed her of what was happening with the dragons.

Orlina
(Tag to Zarike)

"No, Star hasn't Risen yet. Luce found a big Clutch and handed them out to some of us who were with her. I got the smallest one there, a pretty deep blue one. If Dora's egg was that small, then." She didn't even notice that she was already giving the Crimson a nickname.

"Luce, what did happen to the rest of those eggs?" Orlina asked, turning to the other girl just as something upset the party-goers deeper in the group. Orlina turned her head and then stood on the chair to see what was going on.

"I don't know what's happening," she said quietly, unable to get a good look. She distantly heard someone shouting. "Can anyone make out what he's saying?"

"Trouble," one of the older boys said, standing as well. His face was grim. "It means trouble."

Orlina looked at him, worry in her eyes, then looked down at Zarike. "We should get a closer look. To see what's going on so we can make informed decisions." She hopped off of her chair. "Come on."

Tanya

Tanya had just decided that the Brownrider had had long enough and she was going to just slip him his plate and move down the table to continue pouring drinks when she saw a man stagger into the party. She saw him from behind, but when he knocked over the girl he was leaning on it became apparent that he was seriously injured. Something had seriously injured him. His vague cry of trouble to the Weyrwoman was met with no response and Tanya, like many others likely, stared at Abigail as she impassively watched him bleed out. When she snapped out of whatever trance she was in and took charge again, Tanya's fear ramped up another level. She tossed a napkin across M'lan's plate and left it where it was; the napkin wouldn't stop it from getting cold, but at least nothing would fall in it.

That no one seemed to know what had happened was the scariest part of the entire ordeal.

Tanya glanced back into the Weyr, panic-stricken. She remembered Malvren. There was no strong-armed woman to push her in to helping this time. She had to run and run as far from whatever danger there was as possible. There was no way she could help; whatever had attacked that man would end up just doing the same to her. Tanya clutched at the table, knuckles white, and stared at Abigail waiting for instructions on what to do.

Cetalese
(Tag to M'lan)

Ceta enjoyed talking to M'lan. They had an easy friendship now, one she wasn't sure would have developed if not for the original extenuating circumstances. Even small talk, catching up, was fun in its own way. Ceta turned when the crowd suddenly rippled into a hush and waited. Was there another speech coming? Why was the air so--

Tense. Ceta stared at the man falling on to Adi as her mind finished the thought. The blood that suddenly spurted across Adi's clothing told her exactly where the tension had come from and Ceta's eyes widened in horror.

His shouted message was heard, though not very expansive. Ceta was about to step forward to help when another girl beat her to it and bellowed for healers. She reached out for M'lan instead. "Cepheith's given orders to the dragons. We should get a group together and I'm going to find D'lin. Come with me." She looked up at him. "Abigail will have to send out some kind of search party or hunting group soon to discover what creature did this. We should be ready for it."

Halith
(Tag to Microth)

Microth's attitude was infectious and Halith found herself already getting to her feet in preparation for a display. However, Brakiath's warning killed that idea and left Halith rumbling with concern. Although she could not hear what was being said in the human gathering, she did hear Cepheith's orders to protect the humans. Cetalesemine, are you all right? Cepheith instructs us to guard you. What is wrong?

Something attacked a man. He's badly wounded. Keep an eye out, watch the edges of the party. I'm finding D'lin and Eliza and we'll team up like we did when the Revolutionists attacked.

N'mol
(Tag to Kindra and Roscoe)

N'mol had already forgotten Kindra's anger with him when he saw someone stumble into the gathering and knock down another rider. He stayed where he was, since the man was shouting well enough for everyone to hear him despite his grievous injuries, and then his mouth tightened. Attacked and potentially dying. Roscoe's sudden panicked movements drew N'mol's attention away, since nothing new was happening. He knew what his friend was doing, but the haunted look in his eyes when he explained anyway made N'mol clench his fists. What Roscoe may have seen... The fighting here was bad, but it had gone in their favor. Roscoe had been in the middle of what happened when a Weyr lost to the whers. He nodded once; whers had been a consideration for the messenger's type of animalistic wounds.

"Kindra, did you bring that knife I got you by any chance?" he asked, voice all business. He knew she was going to hate the next part, but Kindra could lead when she felt like it and that meant finding the other ranking members in the crowd. And he knew where they were. "We have to get to Weyrwoman Abigail and the others. Roscoe, stick with us." He wasn't about to leave his friend alone when he knew what had happened the last time.

Tyeth?

Cepheith has given us temporary orders and seeks council from Brakiath. We will search for the trouble.

With that done, he nodded and took Kindra's hand. "Come on." He began pushing his way through the crowd; he wasn't about to let them be separated in this press of people.

Tyeth
(Tag to All Dragons)

Like Plexith, Tyeth stood from where he was lying, casting his sharp eyes about in the dark for hints of movement. Plexith's orders were sound and he trusted the other Bronze enough that when he gave the order, Tyeth was content with following it. He adjusted his position as he tried to scent more blood on the breeze and determine where they had gone.

The blood is close, closer than the man. Has anything moved beyond our perimeter already? Surely dragon senses would have picked up on whatever creature did this. It was not whers. Tyeth was somehow sure of that. He smelled no whers nearby; nothing so familiar had done the damage.

Jordan
(Tag to Felix)

Jordan nodded politely again as introductions were made and reached out to get his own cup off of the table once the woman finished pouring.

"I'm--"

Brakiath's sudden looming shape distracted him and then they all had much more to worry about. Something had attacked at the heart of the weyr without him noticing? And who wasn't at the party anyway? Jordan frowned and set the cup down. So much for that.

"Looks like he was mauled." Jordan rubbed at his shirt above one of his wher-given scars from Malvren. Nasty creatures. "No human did that."

Kala and Talakor
(Tag to Felix)

"Wotcher," Talakor said as his name was given, glancing at Jordan only briefly as he lifted the first two cups and passed one to Kala.

Kala smiled when Felix introduced her and took a quick drink from her cup. The darker man started to say his name, but was cut off by the sudden appearance of the injured man. Kala immediately looked concerned and took control of the group.

"It certainly does," she agreed with Jordan. "Right. We won't make it back to the Dolphin Hall now. Headwind." The word was accompanied with a mind-call and the large Green appeared, hissing. She had been napping, but Kala ignored that; her Green was testy, but she was rarely violent with Kala. As the firelizard sensed the panic in the area, however, her eyes whirled more quickly and she flexed her claws, ready for a fight. "Headwind. Take a message to MasterDolphineer Jasinder." She fixed the man's face in her mind. "Trouble at the Weyr. Lock up the hall." Kala repeated herself and then the Green, with a last hiss, popped between. Kala was sure she would return when her message was delivered. It wasn't much of a message, but it was going to have to do until she had more information.

While Kala had been busy with that, Talakor had been getting a good look around and eavesdropping on those near him. "We're going to have a stampede on our hands soon if the Weyrwoman doesn't do something. I say we let the riders go into the weyr to hunt down whatever did this and look for other injuries, while the rest of us get to safety."

"Tal," Kala chastised as her eyes swept the crowds. They had fought before, rescued before. If a party went in it would be silly to go unarmed, but unBonded folk could help as well. "We can help with the search and rescue, though not the hunting portion." She missed Tal's eyeroll, too intent on what was going to happen next.

((Going to try to jump in, tag to whomever))

A small group made of green and blue riders had been sitting and chatting. Three girls and a boy had been laughing at the antics of flits when the mood of the party began to change. Suddenly, a small bright gold shrieked even as a man covered in blood stumbled forward and the golds began to react.

Kallista jumped up, her wiry and small build making her hard to distinguish as an adult. She had had her fill of treachery, thinking herself free of it in Trine. Turning to a stocky girl, she whispered fiercely, "N'ymi. Who or what do you think it is? The Wherhandlers? We need to arm ourselves."

The stocky girl, whose knots noted her as a blue rider, shook her head and grabbing a simple stabbing utensil. Her eyes blazed angrily and she tried to make contact with her dragon. Daroth! What says our queen? Moving closer to the smallest of the group, N'ymi knew her duty well. To protect the smallest and vulnerable. "We shuld group t'gether wi' teh others. Safety in num'ers."

Nodding wide-eyed, the smallest of the group, Ralae moved between N'ymi and the only male of the group, P'zul. She pulled a small belt knife from its shelf, having learned her lesson well during the revolt at Malvren. "Zay says all the bigger dragons are moving to the outside. We need to pull together like N'ymi says."

Slowly, together, they moved towards others in the room. Everyone noticed someone they knew and/or were friends with... Ralae biting her lip to try and keep calm. All stayed away from the bleeding man and the what may be following after him.

Devith would have continued to speak to Loveth, possibly even return the nuzzle she was so unsure about giving. However at the moment they were all in danger as Devith's eyes whirled bright red and yellow on high alert as he situated himself protectively next to his sisters. Like Hekate the silver rose on his haunches taking point to keep an eye on the crowd. Do not fear Loveth we will protect them. Devith assured his clutchmate his tone strong and confident. This time he had the size advantage rather then his enemies and he was not about to allow them to touch his rider and her companions ever again.

Hekate kept a constant scan of the crowd her sharp gold eyes on look out for any sign of a possible enemy. Whatever had caused this trouble from the look on her face would pay for upsetting her friend. Never taking her eyes off the crowd Hekate reached out resting a gentle hand on her friend's shoulder and giving it a squeeze.

"She's terrified of whers." Hekate briefly explained to Mercy scanning for the sight of Devith's dusky hide through the shifting crowd knowing Courath would be close at hand to him. "We should get her to Courath. Don't worry Dizzian Devith and I won't let any harm come to you. I promise." She assured her friend her tone firm and deathly calm in the chaos. All smiles from the weyrling had faded and the once cheerful mischievousness was gone in favor of a steely practicality. This was the environment where she thrived.

Devith? Hekate asked her tone managing to sum up her questions in one simple name as the silver turned his head zoning in on their little group.

Loveth and Hers are with me and as is Courath. We slightly smaller dragons are to form an inner perimeter to keep watch of the humans and our riders. Devith quickly reported his eyes whirling as he did his best to resist the need to force his way through the crowd and take his rider.

The others need you right now. I'll see about getting through the crowd and bringing Dizzian to Courath. I'll be with you soon. Hekate replied even as the silver turned to look at his green companion.

Mine is with yours. She will bring her here when they can move her. Devith spoke passing on what his rider had told him even as he went back to scanning the crowd looking for any threats. Hopefull His could help keep the two-leggers calm long enough for them to deal with this problem.

Turning to those around her who lacked the benefit of a dragon to get the news she called out to them. "Keep calm and stay within the light and the circle of dragons." At least there they could see what they were fighting should it break through the ranks.
