Furrowing his brow as he saw her double over to catch her breath, Shun moved closer to her in case she needed some help. He would have rubbed her back, but the pack was in the way of that sort of thing being effective at all. Instead, he just stood by, letting her catch her breath.
"It is. Though, the last time I was here, the temple had been burned down recently, so I hadn't had the chance to enter it. Why don't we try to see if we can find a place to stay for the night so we can put our bags down in the meantime?"
That was, unless she was fine with carrying those around. The Reaper just figured it'd allow them to enjoy the place a little more easily that way.
"Though... I would like to check up on someone while we're here as well."
The healer that had taken care of him.

"Burned down?" She gave her usual nod of agreement to finding a place for the night as they made their way through town. It would be much easier to explore that way and Mitsu doubted they would continue any further on their journey until tomorrow. Some rest was in order.
"Oh? Someone you met here last time?" She paused for a moment remembering his recount of his adventure and how he mentioned he had trouble with the locals of this village. "Its not someone you want to get revenge on is it?"

Shun nodded quietly at that.
"A reaper had apparently burned down their temple. The locals were a little less than happy to see me, because of that," he said a little flatly. Walking along the street, he was mentally recalling where the house of the healer was, but soon paused as Mitsu called him out on what she thought his intentions might be.
"You know that hadn't occurred to me..." he murmured, as if seriously considering that option now, "Eh, I best not cause trouble here. No. I mean the healer that had helped me. Ayumi. She lives up ahead."
And so they were soon standing before the door that lead to her place. Well. Granted that she hadn't moved away. The Reaper knocked lightly on the door, and shortly after, the female spirit opened up, looking a little surprised to see who it was.
"Oh! It's you! I didn't expect I'd see you again," she said, smiling warmly.
Shun was actually a little surprised she remembered him. After all, she likely had a lot of patients to deal with. Bowing lightly to her, he soon motioned to Mitsu, "We're out traveling and we decided to stop by this place. This is Mitsu. Mitsu... This is Ayumi."
The ghost turned towards the lycan, beaming softly at her before bowing deeply.
"A pleasure to meet you, Mitsu. My... that's a lovely necklace.."

Had she...just planted the idea in his head? Oh Jack what had she done? Was he going to be thinking of revenge now when that hadn't been his original intention. She was worried for a moment, her chest tight as he seemed to consider it.
Mitsu only relaxed again when Shun admitted he probably shouldn't cause trouble and then explained who he was referring to. Oh! The healer he had told her about.
Now feeling a little better about their destination Mitsu followed Shun to the entrance of a seemingly random home, staying back as he approached and knocked on the door. It was only a short wait before the door opened and they were greeted by a lovely looking ghost who...seemed familiar somehow. Though Mitsu was certain she had never seen her before. Maybe it was the Asian features, it was possible the woman reminded her of Junko. Yes! That was probably it.
Having solved that little mystery Mitsu bowed her head slightly in greeting only to bow a little deeper in haste as Ayumi bowed low to her. She was in such a rush to be polite that she nearly toppled forward with the weight of her bag on her back. "I-It's nice to meet you." Mitsu said softly.
Her eyes then turned down, her fingers coming up to brush against the orchid pendant that hung just below her collar bone. "T-thank you, it was a gift from S-Shun." Her voice squeaked and faltered trying to say Shun's name. She had done a fair amount of talking today and her throat wasn't used to it.

Hearing Mitsu's voice squeak, Shun reached to take her hand and squeeze it gently.
Ayumi caught sight of this and smiled before thinking for a moment. Though, her gaze lingered on the pendant for a little longer. She seemed to be drawn to it in a way, though she didn't know why. Shaking her head, she stepped back and motioned into her home.
"Do you two need a place to stay? You're free to remain here during your visit!" she offered.
The Reaper was a little shocked and shook his head.
"That isn't necessary. We were going to find a place at the inn.."
"Nonsense. Save your seeds. I have no patients so there's plenty of room."
Unsure what to do due to this rather generous gesture, he looked to Mitsu to see what she wanted to do. He remembered Ayumi to be a rather kindred soul, but damn she still surprised him.

Feeling Shun's hand moving her into her own Mitsu latched onto it, squeezing it gently in return. She couldn't help but notice the ghost still eyeing her pendant though and shifted somewhat uncomfortably trying to control the urge to grab onto it and hide it.
As far as being offered a place for the night Mitsu looked to Shun in turn and simply shrugged. She had nothing against staying here but he was the only one who had actually met this woman before. If he knew her to be safe Mitsu would trust him and put up no arguments but if he thought it best to stay elsewhere she would follow.

Mitsu wasn't any help on the matter. Shun didn't really want to burden Ayumi but... the woman was beckoning them in. He supposed they may as well take her offer.
"Thank you.." he murmured lightly before stepping in as she moved further to allow them access. Once inside, he could smell the faint scent of orchids. Just as last time. The home hadn't really changed much from what he remembered.
"Make yourselves at home. The beds are in the back. Are.. you hungry at all? I hadn't made supper yet. It would not be a problem to make some extras. You look a little worn out. Some food could be just what you need."
... Was she mothering them?

And it seemed they were staying. Mitsu bowed her head again in thanks following Shun passed the threshold and into the home of the ghost. The scent of flowers hit her instantly and she looked around for the source, doing her best to ignore the shifting in her bag.
It was hard to relax in a stranger's home but Mitsu shifted her bag off her shoulders at least, keeping to herself as the woman continued to shower them with kindness. The lycan also wasn't used to this mothering affection and instead stood there awkwardly, fiddling with the strap of her bag.
"I-I'm okay.." She said quietly. She was offering them a place to stay there was no need for her to make food for them as well. They had brought plenty of things to eat and Mitsu had money as well. It would be easy enough to stop someplace for a meal. "T-This is a nice place you have." Mitsu commented politely.

Shun was a little baffled, himself. He had only met Ayumi one time before. She had sort of mothered him then, but he had also been injured. Right now, that wasn't the case, so he just felt a little confused.
"If you say so. But it really won't be any trouble. If you feel hungry at all, please let me know," Ayumi said softly before smiling again, "And thank you. My home doubles as a sort of office for me to do my healing as well. It gets a little lonely here sometimes so I'm glad to have some company."
There was a pause, and then she lit up, as if remembering something.
"Oh. No need to stay standing. You can go ahead and put your bags down in the back. I'll be in the kitchen if you need me."
Furrowing his brow a bit, the reaper nodded quietly, then turned to go do just that. The home had several orchids adorning the place. The room Ayumi had mentioned had a couple bedrolls, each neatly made. It seemed like no one had used them in awhile. The room before that was a simple sort of living room type of area. It had a low to the ground table and several floor pillows.
"She's more generous than I remember.." he murmured quietly towards Mitsu.

That's right. Shun said she had been a healer. Perhaps Mitsu could learn something before they left. It had been a long time since she had studied with nurse cricket she was afraid she had gotten a little rusty with what she could do.
Watching the woman make her way to the kitchen Mitsu shouldered her bag and headed into the back with Shun. It was a small room probably meant for patients that had to stay but it was clean and hardly looked used. Placing her bag down Mitsu unzipped it slightly before standing up and facing Shun.
"She very nice. You must have given her a good impression. She seems to like you." Mitsu smiled.

"I guess so... I can't imagine why though. I would have figured that I'd be just another patient of hers," Shun noted before setting his bag down gently. There was also that small part of him that was still baffled about people actually liking him and all.
"She is a rather nice woman though," he said before pausing a bit, "Sometimes I almost feel as if I've seen her somewhere else before. I must have seen her in passing at some point."
The Reaper shook his head at that thought, then moved a little closer to the lycan with a softened expression, gently wrapping his arms around her.
"Anyway.. do you just want to relax here for awhile?" he asked, not sure if she wanted to go exploring right now or save that for the morning. It was fairly dark outside at the moment and all. Through the window, he could see some soft blue glows of the lanterns that had been lit.

"I thought the same thing when I saw her," Mitsu said quietly. "I think she reminds me of Junko a little." Though the woman looked different than the futakuchi-onna Mitsu was still certain the cultural similarities were tying them together. She just had to ignore that small nagging feeling that told her there was something more to it.
As far as relaxing a bit Mitsu looked out the window at the lanterns coming to life. Soft blue light lined the streets giving it an odd but welcoming glow. She smiled softly, relaxing into Shun's hold and wrapping her arms around his waist to hold him tight.
"I think we could walk for a bit."
It seemed Mitsu wasn't the only one willing to stretch her legs. Shun would suddenly find a set of claws digging into his calf and moving their way up. When he looked down he would find the round black eyes of Ziggy staring up at him, the feline's tails flicking back and forth in either irritation or playfulness. It was always hard to tell.

Shun thought about that. Junko huh?
"Hm... Not quite.." he uttered quietly. He had been around other asian women before, so it wasn't quite like that. Perhaps they had seen her or someone who looks like her together then? It was really hard to say.
When Mitsu mentioned going for a little walk, he nodded and lightly rested his chin upon her head briefly before he suddenly tensed up as something sharp was digging into his legs. Grunting he ended up squeezing the girl a bit before instinctively kicking his leg away to try and get whatever it was off.
Releasing her, he turned to see Ziggy... of all things here.
Wait.
What?
"Ziggy? Where did..." he started before his eye darted to Mitsu's open bag. He then turned towards the lycan with a bit of a frown, hoping for an explanation. Though, his attention didn't linger on her as he was eyeing the cat a little warily. She could pounce his face at any moment.
Any. Moment.

He didn't think she reminded her of Junko? Maybe Mitsu was off then but she had no idea where they might have seen her before. Had she visited places outside of this town? Maybe Shun should ask later.
For now...they had a different problem.
Mitsu let out a soft grunt of protest as Shun squeezed her a little too hard. When he pulled back she spotted him kicking his leg, the acrobat staying firmly in place despite his efforts.
When Shun turned to look at her Mitsu gave him a sheepish glance in return. "I...didn't know she was in my bag....until after we had been traveling for a while."
She reached for the feline quickly when it seemed she was ready to leap and continue her path upward toward the reaper's face. Yes, there was just something about his head that seemed to attract her wrath but it was hard to say what. As soon as Mitsu's fingers wrapped around her middle the cat went limp in her arms and started to purr. "I...tried to keep her in my bag but she was getting restless."

Shun was getting ready to kick again to try and get her off of him. He shot a glance to Mitsu for the moment as she mentioned that Ziggy had been a stowaway more than anything. Grimacing a bit, he let out a sigh at that, then turned back down, seeing the cat getting ready to pounce his face. Thankfully, Mitsu stopped her before that could happen.
The Reaper ran a hand through his hair while staring at the green kitty. He wasn't really sure what they could do with her. They were too far to simply go back and put her away. He wasn't sure if there were any minipet closets nearby as well.
"I hope she doesn't cause too much trouble..." he murmured. That was mostly regarding her slicing up his face. But there were other ways she could cause some issues, "Do you think you can keep her under control?"
