If this was like the penguin incident - yeah. Jordan took two extra blankets out of a drawer and put them on the couch. "In case of sudden nudity," he explained, deadpan. Jerry had been there, but Melvin hadn't.

"It's not- that is ******** unnatural," Harrison said.
Now that he was looking at it, it was sorta like a messed-up kitten.
"Made me lose my place," he complained.
He eyed Rep suspiciously.
"Like, you named them Jerry and Melvin or they're actually Jerry and Melvin." He watched them frolic on the floor. "...Because either way they're gonna melt."

As Melvin had uncurled the paper, the octopussy suddenly pounced in a coiled-tentacled-spring, tumbling over the carpet with the paper in his mouth and eyes dialated.

Melvin had been busy flatting out his paper, about to take the little, tiny, miniature red pen that was behind his ear to then maybe try communicating. First item of business, stating he wanted coffee. Those losers had a damn coffee machine in here! He wanted some!!
Nurururu Nu Runuu Rurunu. He explained to Rep, lifting a paw and patting the paper to get his point across.
Just as he was about to try, he was knocked aside, tumbling wings over tail before he was on his back as Jerry went off with HIS paper. Squirming, he threw his limbs but was left in a turtle-distress position for a moment before he managed to roll back over and get on his feet. Wings up, chest hair puffed, and hair and pom tail bristled, he shouted at Jerry. "HEY! That's mine, you d**k! I was going to write something!" He shouted, and then chased after Jerry. "Now give it back!"

"I'm sorry," Jordan said to Harrison. He went over to put an arm around Harrison's shoulders, and attempted to look sorry. "I'll make it up to you later."
Jerry was fully engrossed in being a minipet. Melvin looked irritated, not that that was anything new. Rep had been temporarily paralyzed by the power of sheer cute. Jordan hoped that Rep remembered that these minis were also colleagues soon, because the masculinity rating in the room was dipping rapidly below Rep's general comfort level.
"Rep," he said. "Should I be going for a tank? Undignified as it might be, I don't think we want to have to run for the labs if they start having problems staying cohesive."

Harrison pulled Jordan close, and kissed the side of his head.
"You better," he grumbled, before tussling the soft hair. He looked over at Rep, who was making...probably the stupidest expression he had ever seen him make. "You too. For laughing. BIG favors. Huge. Goddamn I can still feel it."
He rubbed the back of his neck.
"I'll go get one," he volunteered, still grumbling while he grabbed his coat, "Hell of a thing to do to a guy. Throwing naked mutant Jerrys at them while they're preoccupied."

The Octopussy formally known as Jerry flumped on the carpet, looking thoroughly displeased with the situation.

Jerry was way too many limbs and hard to get to, even when the octopussy flopped on the ground. It still had his ball of paper, but after trying to climb on the aquatic cat to get to it and only tumbling off, he gave up.
Fine! He'd just....just....
His wings flapped.
HE'D FLY TO THE COFFEE MACHINE!!
Moving to the front of the machine, he looked up, regarding the coffee machine and the height. Should be no problem. Flexing his wings, he shook his bottom a moment and jumped up, flapping. Instead of rising up, he rocketed a few inches at a incline straight into the dresser the coffee machine sat upon. With a great THUNK, Melvin dropped back on the ground.A whimpered "nuruuuuuuuuu.." came as the lemon treat just twitched on the ground holding it's head.

Rep tried to get a handle on himself but it was really ******** hard when rather than dealing with awkward and annoying hunters he was dealing with adorable fluffy little creatures he deep down wanted to pet and sometimes dress up in little bows and ribbons.
Still, somehow he managed to gather himself up enough to say in all seriousness, "Aye a tank is probably a good idea. I don't think either of them like, really want to like, melt."
Harrison got another cackle for his trouble as he went to retrieve the tank. "The b*****d jumped on my face when I found them, I think it's only fair you like, got to share that misery."
Whatever else he'd been going to say died on his lips as the treat formerly known as Melvin tried to fly up to the coffee machine and made a complete bollocks of the whole thing. It was about the most adorable thing he'd ever seen, and his resolution to retain his manliness died mere moments after its inception as he all but skipped over to scoop up the little yellow minipet.
"Ur ye awright wee man?"

"You have my solemn promise," Jordan said. He brushed his fingers across Harrison's shoulder affectionately as Harrison headed for the door; then he bent to scoop Jerry up again, depositing him much more carefully on the bed, paper ball and all. "Sorry about that, man. Didn't know it was you."
His eyebrows arched at Melvin's adventures in totally failing to fly effectively. "Were you trying to get to the coffee machine?" he asked. Yes or no questions when speaking to hunters who were temporarily minipets. It would make things easier.
