Ryl rolled her eyes, but was smiling. "Silly, you ask me things and store away information. My favorites, tales about when I was little, things I'd have liked to see or do someday. That's normal stuff to talk about, and you probably could have even gotten it all out of me in a day without arousing my suspcions. Then it's just a matter of planning."
She looked down at the blanket and set-up and shrugged. "I said formal, not conventional. I'll admit that this isn't a norm for us, but it still feels just all structured and by-the-book, you know?" She grinned at him. "I'd have been happy if you'd just woken me up with breakfast and afterwards we had a snuggle fight to see who wins. Silent walk by moonlight. Or a trail of clues that I had to figure out to lead me somewhere. Not sure what would be at the end of the trail, but that's where romance-y stuff kicks in and that's not my forte."

"Yeah... I probably should have thought of that.. Tricky little vixen that stole my heart and mind. Though it was a nice surprised that I found those fish and you had been wanting to see them. They are actually part of the show that I wanted to show you."Rai said feeling a little better. That he had found the fish and didn't even know it made him happier. He glanced around and noticed it was almost dark enough for the show.
"Do you want to watch the show that will start shortly or continue talking or something else?"

Ryl smiled. "Yes, the fish were a nice touch." She flicked her tail, using it to lightly tickle her mate. "Suppose since we're already here and all we might as well see this show you had in mind. We can always talk more or do something else afterwards."
She eyeballed the hardly touched food still stilling there. "Like eating. Eating still sounds like a very good activity right now."

He let out a chuckle and gently pawed at her tail, batting it away from him so he couldn't be tickled. He stood up and looked at her with a smile. "Well we can certainly eat and watch the show. Sound like a plan?" he asked before slowly moving onto the blanket toward the food. It was now pretty dark, now all he had to do was wait for the little buggers to show up so he could show her.

Ryl laughed. "Way ahead of you," she said, standing up and moving back to her abandoned food to pick up where she had left off. She had to admit that cooking did add and interesting flavor to the meat, though she didn't think it would make her a convert.
"So what's this show supposed to be," she asked curiously after she had finished devouring the rabbit and had started on the chicken at a slightly slower pace.

"You will just have to wait and see. But I will give you a hint. Keep your eyes directed at the pool," his tone was better, happier in fact. He had a good feeling about this. It was going to be a wonderful sight. He picked up a chicken breast and began to eat on it. Slowly ever so slowly the little critters began to come out. The show was about to start.

Ryl knawed on a bit of bone that was all that was left of the food she had grabbed; when she was hungry, she could practically inhale stuff! The bone didn't feel the same as a raw one though so she wasn't too sure about eating it, but she had no problem chewing on them to get the rest of the flavor out. She could just dig a hole and bury the remains afterwards.
"You'll have to tell me what I'm looking for, cause I don't see anything and I have no idea what it is I'm supposed to watch out for. Subtlety will be lost on me," she warned.

He laughed and chewed on a bone as well. "You will know it when you see it. Just look above the water and wait. If you blink you might miss the start of it." he told her. Than a dark spot moved over the water and hovered there it blinked a bright yellow than was gone. A few moments there was another and than another and another. This went until the little pool was light up by them.

"Oooh," Ryl said, comprehension finally dawning on her when the first of the fireflies began to light up. She'd seen them before of course, but it was always nice to just sit and watch.
First she got up and carried her bones a little ways off, digging a hole in the ground and carefully burying them so scavengers didn't come to bother them. Then she trotted back and carefully arranged herself on the blanket, laying down and putting her head between her paws to just watch. Sometimes the simplest things could be the prettiest, and fireflies were one of them. The pool added to it, reflecting their light and making it seem like there were even more of them.

Rai watched Rly more than the fireflies. He knew for sure that he had done good. He liked to watch them to but felt this was the perfect way to do it. With his mate in a nice setting all just for her. They seemed to dance all over the place and finally the fished had noticed them dancing above because one jumped out of the water and was illuminated by them.

Ryl chuckled softly. "This is probably a good feeding time for them," she commented, eyeing the pond full of fish. "I imagine at least a couple fireflies accidently land in the water or stray just a bit too close." Plus it was still early evening. Ryl didn't know a ton about fish, but what she did know was that they always seemed most active either as the sun was first coming up or just going down.

"I bet you that you are right though I can safely tell you those fish don't go hungry. I've watched the humans and they make sure that they get food everyday. They seem quite fond of them. Though I suppose the fireflies would be an extra little treat wouldnt you say?" He asked while leaning over and licking her ear and the top of her head in an affectionate way.

Ryl shook her head. Humans truly baffled her. Destroy the world, kill tons of things to sustain themselves, but they built nice little parks and fed fish for entertainment. Gosh she was glad she'd been born a modifox...
She cocked her head to the side and stared up at her mate with one silvery eye. "What the heck you still doing up there. Romance demands snuggling, so I demand snuggling," she said in an imperious tone, though the effect was slightly diminished by the smile that cracked across her face.

"I thought I was doing better than snuggling. I was showing you love and loving on you. Which could lead to more later and of course always end in snuggling. No matter what we do you will get your snuggling I promise." He told her while kissing her cheek before laying back down next to her and wrapping his tail over her and keeping their sides pressed together.

Ryl snorted, leaning against her mate. "Rule number one in romance," she said in serious tones. "If the lady says, "We're going to do this," the man's response should always be, "Whatever you say." It makes the female very happy, which by default will end up making the male very happy."
She chuckled a little, the vibrations of her laughter thruming through her body. "And this lady demands snuggles, and then going home and more snuggles, and maybe even something equally fun afterwards," she said, tilting her head to lightly n** Rai's paw.
