Okay, decided to go with a slightly revised list for my Germans, as the logistics of getting an MG42 MMG team here seems next to impossible for some sodding reason. So instead I swapped it out for a medic and an extra Grenadier for the third squad. Should the medic be just a waste of points, I'll toss in another Grenadier and maybe another MG42 team instead.
Right now the German demo force is looking like this:
2nd Leutnant (regular) + 2x regular soldier, 3x MP44
Medic (Veteran)
Grenadiers (10) - MP40, MG42 team (regular)
Grenadiers (10) - MP40, MG42 team (regular)
Grenadiers (6) - MP44 (regular)
Sd.Kfz 251/1 Hanomag (regular)
Total: 500 points.
In the other corner, the US Army, which is unchanged, unless the Jeep and 60mm mortar are going to be really bothersome to attain, in which case I might toss in a sniper team and give each squad extra soldiers instead.
2nd Lieutenant (regular) + 2x regular soldier, 3x SMG
Infantry squad (9) - SMG, 2x BAR (regular)
Infantry squad (9) - SMG, 2x BAR (regular)
.30 cal machine gun team (regular)
.30 cal machine gun team (regular)
Bazooka team (regular)
60mm mortar team (regular)
Jeep with medium machine gun (regular)
Total: 502 points.

Some reinforcements came in just now, not the stuff I've been waiting for, but still welcome additions: American and British FOO blisters, a pair of the new US machine gun team minis and a bleeding Churchill Crocodile tank with trailer. Da fuq. burning_eyes
Many thanks sergeant! pirate

Hey all, I've added up my German infantry and I'm sitting at 432 points, and am looking for advice on bringing it up to 500. Here's my list, does anybody have any thoughts?
Veteran Headquarters 126 -1LT -2 Vets -Assault Rifles
Wehrmacht Infantry Squad 100 -NCO and 5 men -2 LMGs
Veteran Infantry Squad 106 -NCO and 5 men -6 SMGs -2 Panzerfausts
Regular MMG Team 50
Regular Sniper Team 50
Total: 432

Here's a slightly modified list to fit evenly on 400pts, but I'm still looking for expansion options to bring it to 500pts (someday). Thoughts?
Veteran Headquarters 78 -Vet 2LT -1 Vet -Assault Rifles
Wehrmacht (Regular) Infantry Squad 105 -NCO and 6 men -2 LMGs -1 Assault Rifle
Veteran Infantry Squad 90 -NCO and 4 men -5 SMGs -2 Panzerfausts
Veteran MMG Team 65
Veteran Sniper Team 65
Total: 403

DarkElf27 Here's a slightly modified list to fit evenly on 400pts, but I'm still looking for expansion options to bring it to 500pts (someday). Thoughts? A transport, (medium or heavy) mortar team (with spotter if possible) or another squad of infantry, maybe Volks Grenadiers? I'd advice against anti-tank weaponry as tanks are very rare at that point level and when faced with an all-infantry force your anti-tank gun will be quite useless. Armoured cars are always fun, but perhaps a bit expensive for what they bring to the table.

Right, I'm thinking about perhaps a 250/1 for my SMG team, and perhaps dropping my MMG team to Regular or Green so I can double it and have another team.

I wouldn't make that MMG team green, the extra -1 on their shooting can smart quite a bit. Also, I wasn't aware you could field two MMG teams. wink Because Germans can't! ninja

For those interested, the always helpful Beasts of War have had Alessio and Andrew from Warlord over for a demo game: http://www.warlordgames.com/38295/bolt-action-demo-game-by-beasts-of-war/

Sidebar, as to the aforementioned list, would it be worthwhile to drop the Sniper team to Regular and add an additional SMG vet to the troop squad?
