That does not mean confident, that means prideful, which leads into arrogance, because of estimation skills that are highly low when it comes to others. Right now in Amon's eyes after hearing what was going on, is that he sees this as a play around game for the supposed strongest. As the others are to be used for amusement of his own accusations. Something he does not all too agree with. Though he did step into the area of fighting, but only cause Cain invited him. If he ends up fighting, he does, if not he won;t.

I hope to impress you, and Amon in time and by extension, with/of my better qualities and the actual sense and intelligence behind my actions.
And I must keep in mind the whole "not using OOC knowledge" thing. Have to remember that people only know/can know what they come up on or experience.

Though already he sees error, despite this being his first time meeting Arrancars. Hence, why he wrapped his reiatsu and compacted it so not to come off as a threat when he entered the palace. But then, people came flying out of the balcony area where he had been standing. To sum it up, he does not care for fighting if it is not with a specific purpose. He has no reason to, though if he was attacked; he wouldn't give a turn to the other cheek on the attacker.

He learns by sight, and reading the opponent, not fighting them in hand to hand. Though more or less he's going to get involved regardless. Possibly in your fight, if the supposed primera doesnt bother with him.

Contrary to many others' regular practice, I do very much take into consideration one's abilities (actual abilities themselves, skill level, intelligence/tactical planning, and strength - physical and reiryoku) in their ranking. As one once wisely said "Reiryoku/Reiatsu isn't everything". And it is not. Therefore before I officially hand out ranks in the story and in My Army, I'm testing my combatants and comrades.
I am bringing this to your attention for a few reasons: 1) To get a better understanding of what you can do. 2) To encourage you to do your best. 3) To remind our good people here that, as would and should be true to the Bleach Universe, Rank Does Matter.* 4) And To Give Ranks To Those Who Deserve Them.** ...And to address a question/request/concern of our esteemed Redera-san.
As such, this fighting we are doing matters and is not to be taken lightly. It holds significance, both to the story and to your characters. So do the best you can, and do the best with what you've got.
*While I have seen it stated by a member or two of our little family, it does matter. Power is not so solely measured by physical or Spiritual strength, as may be demonstrated by Szayel Apporo Grantz, who's physical and spiritual strength were not overly impressive or significant. However he still managed to make it into the Espada with his intelligence and abilities capabilities as well as his experimentation. (Primarily the former two) Furthermore, Rank directly dictates to whom you must answer and who may direct you. Espada are not created Equal, it is not the Hollow way. So rank plays its part. And what's more, earning higher rank also earns, by extension, a potential immediate stat increase to match.
**I know many prefer the "First Come, First Serve" custom; it is familiar and it normal. Expected. However, I am sure I would not be alone if I were say I had been in guilds with members who did not seem to deserve the positions given them, allotted them only because they "got there first". This is my opportunity to you to receive the ranks you deserve, to attain what you desire instead of settling for what's left. Just as it would be, *is*, in the story, and I dare say would be in life. So show me what you deserve.
@Caelum: So...does that mean that the outcome of our own individual results from the battle will re-determine our Reiryoku?

I apologize my lack of posting. My muse and mental capacity to rp lately has been rendered (rl stuff plus my procrastination at times) i will though try by whatever miracle post by tonight after i do my chores.

It has the potential to. Though, frankly, there is little room for adjustment. As Espada, it can only go up one or down one or it stays the same, for Great is the lowest for your class. And to be truthful, if *I* examined and approved your profile, reiryoku was determined independent of rank and was decided based more on "Threat Level", character strengths, and capabilities. But again, we know Reiryoku isn't everything, and can be improved given the time to do so.
