Seeing her shake her head, Shun let out a sigh of relief, resting his forehead against hers for a moment or so. Taking in a breath, he pushed aside the dream's contents. He had the real Mitsu here in his arms. She would not suddenly shift into Candace. This, he reminded himself.
"Good. Good... Do you know how much time passed..?"
He really didn't know how long he had slept.
"And.. did you manage to sleep at all?"

As far as time went Mitsu was only vaguely aware of the hours that passed. With her hand that wasn't trapped under her she brought it up so that Shun could see and held up two fingers before forming an o with her hand followed by three fingers. He was smart enough to figure out the o was meant to be an or right...and she wasn't telling him he had been out for two hundred and three hours. Two or three. That's what she hoped he would understand.
As far as her own sleep went her hand wavered in the air in a 'maybe kinda sorta' gesture that really gave no yes or no answer. Physically she had stopped moving and relaxed which was really very much sleeping minus closing her eyes. So it was half way there in her book.

Shun blinked for a moment. He thought she was saying 20. But then 3? 23? No that couldn't be right. There was no way he could have slept for nearly a day. Maybe it was 2 or 3 hours. That sounded more probable.
"Ah. I see," he said with a sigh. He should have known he wouldn't be able to sleep for long. Though, he frowned as she apparently didn't get any sleep either.
"Well, perhaps you'll be able to sleep later.. How are you feeling now? Do you think you'd be up to venture outside?"

Mitsu shrugged at the idea she might sleep later. It was doubtful but she didn't mind laying down, especially with Shun. Her hand wavered again when he asked how she was feeling but she grew hesitant when he mentioned leaving again.
Focusing on his chest Mitsu laid her head back on the pillow and shook her head. She didn't want to go outside. Not right now.

Again, he let out a sigh.
"You can't stay in here forever..." he whispered. Thinking for a moment, he decided to try and see how he could convince her.
"If not on a date to the teahouse, would you go with me to Fright Night? It's the upcoming festival for the school. I think it would do well for you. You need fresh air. Room. Not just.. .couped up in here like a caged beast."
Festivals weren't usually his thing. But Shun wanted Mitsu to get out.

Mitsu's brows knitted together and she turned her head down toward the bed to hide her face in the blankets. It's not that she wanted to hide forever just for now, just a little while longer.
The mention of Fright Night had her peeking her head back up out of her little cocoon, quizzical about what Fright Night even was. Shun answered soon enough but the thought of being in a crowd of people made her nervous. She didn't want to outright say no, she knew Shun was trying to help but she wasn't sure she was ready.
Instead of giving a definite answer Mitsu tapped the side of her head to indicate she would think about it. Perhaps that would be good enough for now. Who knew, maybe by the time the festival came around she would want to get out of her room and see people again. Anything was possible. Right?

Shun watched Mitsu carefully to try and get a better idea of what her reaction would be. Without her wolf ears, it was a little harder to judge these things so he had to be more attentive. When she tapped her head, he nodded slowly to her.
"Alright. Please consider it. I won't want you hiding away, living in fear or whatever..." he whispered quietly. At least that was his guess of why she was so reluctant to leave the room. She was afraid of something. It was just a matter of what that was exactly.
"If you decide to go to the festival, I will stay by your side the entire way. Unless.. you'd rather not have me. But I will be there with you. For you," he added softly, lightly resting his head against against hers, "Friends should be there as well. I'm sure they will be happy to see you."

She nodded. Mitsu would consider it just at the moment it was hard to say yes or no. She didn't want to completely shatter his hopes but she didn't want to break a promise if she said yes and still wasn't ready to leave. It was a lot to think about, her emotions running haywire at the thought of walking through her door again. Being in her room felt right. It wasn't a cage if she choose to be here.
Mitsu would have hoped Shun would stay with her during the festival if she went, though she wished he would stop sounding so doubtful about whether she would want him there or not. She couldn't decide if he thought her fickle or so emotionally distressed she would dump him without a second thought. Did she not seem loyal? Was it something she was doing wrong? It made her feel insecure all over again, closing her eyes and simply nodding to her reaper. Friends were the least of her concern right now. As much as she wanted to see them she was afraid too at the same time.

It wasn't Mitsu. The fear of losing her was just ingrained into him at the moment. When she closed her eyes, he furrowed his brow and reached up to gently cup her cheek in his hand. He wished he knew what was going through her head. After caressing her gently, he slipped his hand back around her to hold her close.
"Alright.." he whispered, "Do you want to relax here a little longer..?"
Well. At the moment, there wasn't too much else the two of them could do.

She nodded again and continued to lay where she was. Relaxing sounded good but eventually she needed to work on the strength of her legs again. It was another thing that had her worried about going outside. True the damage hadn't been bad, not as bad as her arms, but her legs still bore some scars. Not to mention she had been kept inside for so long and exercising had been the furthest thing from her mind. Running was going to be difficult let alone lots of walking.

Quietly nodding, Shun got himself back into place. He didn't think he would be able to fall asleep again after his last attempt, but he was content to lay here with her.
"Aishiteru," he said before kissing her softly. He knew she couldn't reply verbally, but that didn't matter. With her having been gone for some time, he wanted to try and make sure that she felt loved here. And hopefully as a result, she'd feel safer as well. If nothing else right now, he could give her his affection.

Returning the kiss Mitsu affectionately nuzzled against Shun before relaxing once again. She had missed this most of all, these peaceful moments with her reaper. Its what really made her feel like she was home again, like she could pretend for a little while everything was okay.
