Hell, it's been Hell...but I might have found my Heaven. If she doesn't think I'm a monster... Calvin sat there for a moment, whacking his head against the steering wheel hard with a small, "Ow." Grabbing the keys, Calvin flicked out of his seatbelt and slid out of the car with unusual grace, extending his senses to find no one was in the immediate vincinity. Jogging, Calvin nonetheless quickly caught up to Riley, sighing to let her know he was there. "Anything I say at this point will sound like an excuse, I get that...but it's also not wholly my thing to say." Calvin slowed down, staying a few steps from Riley and turning around to look at her face as he stumbled backwards. "It's...like a condition." Hands in his pockets lifted to grab at his hair, like to tear it out, maybe a touch dramatic but Calvin wasn't wholly aware he was doing even as he yanked. Leaving it alone to run his fingers through it, hair standing almost with gel, Calvin looked more distressed with the added effect of the 'zapped' hair. "What can I do to prove that I'm serious? I know it's sad, cliche even, but I didn't want you hurt...I don't want to hurt you. Fat job I've done, huh?" Calvin stated with a sad twitch of unhappy lips, eyes widening before he jerked his head around behind him towards the water.
Standing still, Calvin was tense, like before they met up with the jocks, his free hands clenching and unclenching with nerves and reaction. And yes, a touch of...excitement, expectancy. He gave a low, impatiently harsh hiss of breath, all of it expelled forcefully from his lungs, the edge coming out in a low bone-rumbling growl more felt than heard, if close enough. Nostrils flaring, Calvin hunched, and an instant later his slightly taller body was covering Riley's, one arm supporting her around the waist easily while the other hand was leaving an imprint in the sand while the ground a bit away erupted into a little PFFT as a bullet landed. Eyes silver in the dark night, Calvin slowly lowered Riley down, his arm gentle, but suddenly feeling like steel. Shaking his head like there was something stuck in his hair, Calvin flexed his hands again and again, his muscles seeming to get a little more well-defined, even though Calvin's grip wasn't so tight to pump them yet.
That low rolling growl was continuous, going on for almost a few minutes with uninterrupted swells, cacophonic against the sounds of the crashing waves but with its own rhythm. Then Calvin was gone, edging away from where Riley lay, head moving around, nostrils trembling, silvery eyes wary and bothered in the light. His stance had changed too, walking almost on tip-toe in his sneakers, body bowed impossibly far backwards but with his torso edged forward. It was almost like...he was expecting to have a different physical structure. It looked awkward, clumsy, but when Calvin moved...there was no tripping, just a strange smoothness to his movements, almost graceful like a professional dancer's.
A zipping sound, more bullets moving Calvin back farther away from Riley, the snarl on his lips revealing sharp canines, longer and sharper than his smiles ever looked. What?? The growl deepened, the ground vibrating and the tshirt shaking with the intensity of the low, low low sound, impossibly deep for Calvin's athletic but slender frame. Another look, and his shirt was tighter around his body, neck obviously thicker, like super-steroid effects of weeks in a few seconds. The hair-raising growl came again, turning into a yelp as a hiss and a thwack resulted in Calvin hunched over his arm, something silver embedded into his arm. He yelped...like a dog...hissed out a hurt breath, gritting his teeth and bloodying his lips with his new, razor-sharp teeth as he tried to keep in the sound wanting to come out. He could, to protect Riley... Footsteps, danger, silver like the disk in his arm! Tearing it out, tears running down his face at the acidic pain, huffing pants, Calvin gave Riley one last tortured look full of pain, fear...and his inner monster rose.
Pain, injured, fight, get out! Protect mate, hit because stronger, run run RUN RUNRUNRUN FIGHT...! A sharp, wailing forlorn howl ripped its way past Calvin's clenched teeth, his head jerking upwards. At the moon, his heavy breaths revealing tears in his clothing, hands twisted halfway to claws, face slightly extended into a muzzle with sharp teeth meant to tear and rip, to break bone. Calvin's chest moved faster, faster, faster FASTER as he heaved breath, a pale blur as he avoided a bullet, landing in an animal-like crouch closer to Riley, but turned away from her. "This... This is why I couldn't believe you'd ever want me," he stated, the cat...or rather, the wolf...out of the bag. His tone was ashamed....and impossibly deep, so bass it vibrated through the ear, promised freedom, running, no boundaries, just everywhere to roam. It was wild, untamed...and so not the Calvin who had transferred from Italy. Still hunched, as if in pain, Calvin raised a deformed hand to hide his face, the muzzle and teeth. "I'm...a were-..." WEREWOLF, over here, human hostage! a voice shouted, interrupting Calvin's words. He gave a small, piteous whine, sent terrified silver eyes towards Riley before he scrambled away, sand flying away from his oddly-bent feet, trying to hold onto his humanity and losing the battle. Another yelp, and Calvin yanked a syringe out of his shoulder. Letting out another howl, Calvin fell to the ground and writhed, his form growing, expanding.
Panting, a deep golden/brown thing out of horror and fiction lay curled up in a ball, whimpering. There was some blood, but mostly torn clothes; the change had hurt, and was confusing. More footsteps, a gun was cocked at Calvin while someone grabbed Riley back away from him, murmuring things like she was okay, he didn't bite her did he, the nightmare would go away, they promised, lying brute probably wanted to eat her, and other things against Calvin. Calvin, gentle hesitant clumsy Calvin, so intent and focused on getting the truth out girls couldn't stand it. Riley couldn't stand it, the lie he had to live to protect everyone...and stay alive. For this very reason. But how'd they know, how...?? "S-s-sorry..." Calvin whispered, whining a groan as he shakily got to his bent feet, a hand down to try to stay modest, head turned away from Riley. A silvery tear fell, and then Calvin turned to the person still with a grip on Riley's arm. "Sorry..." he whispered again, eyes unfocused and obviously Calving was still in pain, deep voice rumbling. "Let her go!" he snarled, gone in a flash. There was a bang, the smell of powder, and some more shots. Calvin jerked, the next howl more like a crying wail of pain, blood dark against the blond from bullets in his hip. But the person had taken his hands off of Riley to shoot at Calvin, leaving her free. For a moment, Calvin lay his head down by the frightened human's face, stomach clenching with the need for fresh meat, hot blood...then he was gone, keys to his Outback the only left. That, and his silver cross, where blood hit it sizzling in reaction to the metal. A long, forlorn, heart-breaking howl....and Calvin was gone. One of the people came to Riley, shaking her gently. Honey, HUN! Riley, are you okay?? they wanted to know, one of her parents. What, in hell, was happening??! Calvin was a werewolf, and her family was shooting at him... Riley stopped and closed her eyes when she heard Calvin behind her. I can't date someone who keeps secrets from me. I can't do it. She said with obvious sadness in her voice. She scrunched her eyebrows when he whipped around. She turned her head to the side to see what was going on.
Riley looked her boyfriend up and down, seeing his hands in tight fists, back and forth. She blinked when he growled, the same sound that came from him earlier when he was fighting with the jocks. She wondered what the hell was wrong with him, he was acting really weird. He held her by her waist as she looked up at him. Riley jumped hearing the sound of a bullet landing in the sand beside them. When she was put down, she looked ahead to see where the bullet had come from. Who was shooting at them?!
Calvin's unusual body position made her take a step forward, wondering what was happening to him. Calvin..? She questioned softly, reaching her hand out a bit to try and reach him. She jumped, causing her to fall backwards on her butt and scrambling away from the coming bullets. She wanted to know what was going on! She looked at Calvin and saw the glint of one of his fairly large canines. She blinked, unable to process of what was happening to him. Her eyes widened a bit at the impossibly unhuman growl that Calvin let out. Jumping at the sound of a dog yelp she scrambled to her feet to realize Calvin had been hit with a bullet. Regardless, she rushed towards him. Calvin! Calvin are you alright? She watched as he ripped the silver disk from his arm, her face painted in worry. Her eyes met his and that was when his eyes met her gaze, a look in his eyes shown something he was going to regret, and apologetic.
The howl scared Riley shitless as stumbled back onto the sand again. Her eyes wide as his hands grew claws... His mouth in the shape of a muzzle..She was frozen in place when he was in front of her. Calvin...She said, her voice sad and barely audible. but to him, it would be clear as day. However, her eyes darted to the human voices who shouted werewolf. WEREWOLF??! She thought before Calvin yelped and fell, yelped again. She had the natural urge to go to him... to tell him everything was alright.. that she was there... But she had no control over this situation.
Riley's eyes remained wide, her body frozen in utter shock as her boyfriend transferred into a large furry being. She jumped when she was pulled back away from him. Her eyes watered as she looked at Calvin. Her sweet boyfriend. Shaking now as he was shot at again. She looked down at the sand, where his keys and necklace laid. She stood up, looking at her father. What the hell is going on?! She yelled clearly upset. Her father explained to her that they would talk about it at home. Almost zombie and robot like, her father, followed by her mother led her to the car as the others cleared the scene. Before she got in the car, she managed to pick up his necklace and keys without her parents noticing, even seeing that they were there. They ushered her into the car, and Riley did nothing for the rest of the night in her room except replay scenes of the past hour in her head. Over.. and over.. and over.. and over again.

Hell, it's been Hell...but I might have found my Heaven. If she doesn't think I'm a monster... Panting, fur-covered clawed hand/paws clasped over his muzzle to try to keep the whimpers down, Calvin ran away on his hind legs. He was still faster than a human, faster than a bullet in short bursts...but he was bleeding, and his hip hurt where the two bullets from where the person he'd tackled shot him. Huffing, Calvin finally gave up, his last mournful howl heard by the beach before he fell to all fours. Run, run, run, runrunrunrunRUN AWAY! Hurt, oh, it hurts...ow ow ow ow ow, God ow, it hurts, God, help, God... was running through his mind like a mantra, the animal instincts overlaying his human logic, the prayer in his belief like the wolf's wishing for help. Any help, any family...but no one was nearby. No werewolf with their obviously different signs than normal wolves were nearby, the scene flashing by in strangely emphasized shadows, dimmer than the color he normally saw but still somewhat there, more so than a normal wolf. Dozens of scents, of meanings...interpretations, overloading his brain. "NO!"
Calvin ran, the agony in his hip running into his body, blood pumping minute traces of silver to start its dire acid-like work against his veins. Panting, chest heaving, Calvin had to expel the force, the pain, but no howl. Too close to humans still, meat, needed meat, energy, heal, food... Knocking his head against a tree, the pain helped Calvin concentrate a bit more, his stomach in a tight knot almost making him nauseous, he felt so hungry, the silver draining his energy as well as poisoning him. Silver...metal of the moon. Ironic. Grimacing, Calvin paused, hauling himself up enough to lean his good side against a tree. It was well-manicured, part of someone's "wild" yard towards the tame beach.
Twitching, snarling and growling under his breath, Calvin worked on removing the silver bullets. Of the many advantages he got from the change, flexibility was NOT one of them; his spine had to be strong enough to carry Calvin either bipedal or quadrupedal...no fancy cat-like turns for him, not in this form anyways. Sure, wolves could lick their butts...but their spin didn't have to deal with vertical weight. Gnashing his jaws in pain, blood coming from his mouth because of his too-sharp teeth, Calvin finally found the third and last bullet. His vision swam, gouges in the tree as Calvin automatically put out a hand to steady himself as he slid downward; bad idea, now it was obvious where he had gone. But, even if Riley's parents and whoever else had been present took her home, Calvin wasn't willing to head back. Not on his life, no WAY was he going to assume they'd leave him alone. He wouldn't, if he'd been hunting monsters. And sure enough, sounds of dogs came to his ears, which pricked and swiveled over before Calvin raised his muzzle to look...and scent. Well now...it'd sting, but might help...
Heading back to the shore, Calvin's higher body temperature helped, the teen diving into the ocean. Instantly, the wounds stung, salt going to mix with his blood. But it was a 'cleaner' sting than the silver, scrubbing and purifying even as it tainted, instead of the agonizing acidic poison of the silver. Sparing a thought for his cross, Calvin was back into running, needing to survive, too injured to fight effectively. He didn't even have enough of his old human self in his head to be disgustedly amused that all he could do was doggy paddle, the arms arranged just a bit differently to be able to bear weight running on all fours. He swam, swimming, fighting, gagging on salt and glad the waves of the incoming tide were loud, drown out the whimpers and whines Calvin couldn't help. Yes, his anger raised the beast...but Calvin was still Calvin, and pain was never fun.
When familiar scents started bleeding through the burning salt in his canine nose, Calvin slowed, looking around. There were cliffs, but...strength, agility and stamina were his to deal with. The water of the ocean had helped carry him farther down the coast, maybe a half-hour's drive away from his house. Of course, that was driving, on a cleared road; Calvin had to climb the cliff, and move through forest. But, it was a familiar part. It was just a shame he couldn't talk to his parents, reassure them. He didn't have his phone, and it wasn't like he could speak right now anyways; voice too deep, too primal and animal. Y-e-a-h, that wouldn't go over well. Maybe a note? Calvin glanced at his hands, letting out a rumble of a sigh. No, how'd he hold the pen, and get in to the house in the first place? No, it would be a night in the forest, working on healing before he could do anything. Hours later found Calvin with fresh blood around his muzzle, tired and still hungry despite the doe he had found. Too hungry too care, too lost in the animal mindset, Calvin hadn't worried too much about hunting an injured animal; that herd had too many does, something about the scent not being musky enough suggesting a buck hadn't claimed the doe - too many to breed. Or, something. Curled up in a hollow space dug out by real wolves, surrounded by the oddly comforting musk, Calvin fell asleep, whimpering and twitching to himself as he fell into an uneasy sleep.
The next day at school would find Calvin present, if a bit late, and looking a little worse for wear. Nothing too obvious, except for a limp, and maybe looking like he lost a bit of weight. Not too much, just enough to be noticeable; forcing the wounds to heal as much as he did, so Calvin could walk, took a lot of energy. He looked around for Riley, concern on his face when he didn't see, smell or hear her around. Was she all right, who were those people shooting at them? Did they hurt Riley?? It was too soon, his frustrated fear ready to rise the beast again...but too tired, too drained to sustain the change. Circles barely detectable under his eyes probably didn't help, although Calvin put up a good front of his normal cheerful self, listless when no one was paying attention. Calvin thought about Riley's words...I can't date someone who keeps secrets from me. I can't do it....and he sighed. It was only the one. But it was a real whammy, wasn't it? Wasn't it, Riley... he thought dejectedly, face to the desk all alone during lunch. He had showered and scrubbed his teeth, but Calvin could still smell, and taste, blood, his new bestial side closer to the top of his consciousness, making Calvin feel alternatingly like he was starving, and was going to puke from all the sensory input. Where are you Riley? Are you okay? I couldn't protect you...I had to run. I could...not...PROTECT you... The next day wasn't really a great one. When her parents took her home the night before, they told her and explained for countless minutes that their family came from a long line of Werewolf hunters. And wouldn't you know it, her boyfriend just so happened to be one. Riley practically yelled her parents out. She was shaken, a pure mess, and betrayed. Her boyfriend had kept a pretty big secret from her, and her own family! She had stormed off to her room and locked herself in. Luckily, her parents respected that and let her be. Though the next morning, she wasn't too happy because her parents forced her into at least going to school for her afternoon classes and lunch. She scowled to herself after she finished getting ready that she had left her skate board in Calvin's car. So instead, she walked to school. Thankfully though when she thought about yesterday, her parents didn't seem to know it was Calvin who was the werewolf. When she came to school at lunch time, she was flooded by kids asking if she was okay, was she hurt, what happened, etc. There had been rumors going around that she was attacked by a wild animal, but that wasn't the case in the least. Riley looked like s**t. Not really as bad as Calvin, but not one of her better days either. She had bags under her eyes, unable to sleep the entire night. Too busy thinking about today, wondering if Calvin was going to be there. She also wondered if he was alright, still alive, and her boyfriend... She herself didn't know that, but supposedly they would have to find out sooner or later. Refusing to talk to anymore people, Riley walked in to the cafeteria, getting numerous glances, looks, whispers, etc. She tucked her hands in her front packets and zombie like walked to a table at the far corner of the large room. Sitting down, she propped her elbow up on the table, and rested her head in her hand. She hadn't seen Calvin, but now she knew he'd be able to smell her. Which the thought she still find a bit.. not disturbing, but uncomfortable.

Hell, it's been Hell...but I might have found my Heaven. If she doesn't think I'm a monster... To be perfectly honest, Calvin's emotions were bouncing everywhere so much, his senses were really messed up. They'd grow, sharpen, then suddenly disappear as if there was a switch somehow. It was very disorienting, messing with Calvin's head and reality all morning. Stomach rumbling, Calvin decided to risk this 'low' moment to eat, eyes pounding behind his backup pair of sunglasses. Calvin explained that he'd avoided an attack the night before, had some chastising from his concerned parents, and they called the phone provider to cancel Calvin's number until they could find the phone. It was a bit weird, not having his phone or his cross, comfort items to help remind him that despite the whole being bitten thing, Calvin was human...
He'd get control of the beast, somehow...
Walking into the cafeteria, Calvin felt himself actually droop with relief when he saw Riley, all in one piece. He almost started to fall, nearby people looking at him oddly or asking if Calvin was all right; he looked ready to pass out any moment. By the time he got his lunch, the only table free was the one Riley was at. Giving her a pulled smile, Calvin went ahead and sat down on the opposite side of the table, a few seats down from the girl; close enough to talk, far enough to give her space. He stared at his food, messing with a gold cross under the table, head bowed for a moment. He didn't usually bother to say grace at school, but...it couldn't hurt.
Raising his head, Calvin just slumped there, debating if he actually wanted to eat. Not really, but he needed SOMETHING to help the human-slow healing process along. He COULD heal faster...but as evidenced by his practically ghastly appearance, it took a bit out of him. Otherwise, he would've probably had to have had his hip replaced, bone shattered by the bullets. It still ached, and Calvin had a limp everywhere, one he couldn't hide easily, and one he tried to do so so that Riley wouldn't feel more awkward. Rubbing at his face, Calvin picked at his food, finally working on the bread he had gotten, and laying his face down on crossed arms on top of the table. "Are you okay?" he asked her softly, tone concerned but face hidden, shoulders hunched in dejected expectancy of anger or physical abuse. Riley had actually looked up and saw Calvin smiling at her. He didn't look to good either. She shifted uncomfortably in her seat, glancing his way as he sat near her at her table. She sat up straight, allowing her hand to fall gently on the top of the table. She pulled out Calvin's necklace from her pocket, turning in her hand under the table a few times before pulling her hand up and carefully setting it by him on the table. Also remembering to put his keys on the table as well. You dropped those.. And ya.. Just peachy. She said, her voice flat and hoarse but not cold. Of course she wasn't okay. Physically, perhaps. Mentally? Not a chance. She took a few calming breathes then finally looked over at Calvin. Are you okay? She asked softly a little awkwardly. Obviously she knew he wasn't but it was polite to ask. He really looked awful.. She just wanted to get up, sit next to him, and make him feel better. But things were incredibly awkward and uncomfortable. Calvin was still the same guy she fell for.. at least she hoped he was..

Hell, it's been Hell...but I might have found my Heaven. If she doesn't think I'm a monster... Calvin reached for the cross, the gold one present in his other hand as he reached for the silver with shaky fingers. The skin around his eyes seemed to tighten, eyes almost squinting, in pain as the silver rubbed against his skin, leaving a small red spot like he'd been scratched; it gave him a rash as a human, if touched long enough. And weak as he was, the touch of silver affected him that much more. But Calvin still grabbed it, closing his eyes in a silent grimace against the burning itch as he clutched the precious item close to him. Calvin just nodded, repeatedly, silent but wincing at Riley's tone; not harsh, but not exactly inviting either. "Of course not, I...was being stupid. Sorry. Doesn't really cover it though, nowhere close," he answered, grabbing the keys and slipping them into his pocket along with the golden cross, the silver one going into the other pocket.
Calvin gave an uncomfortable laugh, shaking his head, hands wrapped tight in his hair as Calvin looked at the table, gaze dead of emotion from sheer fatigue. "No, I'm not...don't think I ever will be. How can I?" Tone bitter, angry as he mentioned the situation. "My...condition...pretty much guarantees I won't be okay." Jaw grit, there was that almost wild anger that change Calvin's eyes, made him grown while protecting Riley. His eyes DID change to a more silvery sheen, sunglasses almost slipping off his nose before Calvin move them back up. Muscles visible worked along his jaw as Calvin clenched his teeth repeatedly....but just the eyes went, Calvin laying his head back down onto the cool table with a heavy sigh. "Everything is messed up right now, it's been hell....hell hell hell." Calvin's voice was still pretty much dead, emotionless...nothing to gain more pity and nothing to, hopefully, get Riley more mad at him.
"I really messed that up. Not like I asked for it, all I can do is try to live with it, find a balance. But it takes SO much, I just can't..." Calvin sat up again, staring at his hands as he clenched them into fists, before opening them again and staring at the imprints of his trimmed nails in his skin. "I can't trust myself, not if I want to keep everyone around me safe. ESPECIALLY those I care about, more than anyone else." Calvin raised unhappy eyes to look at Riley, giving her another tiny smile. "I will leave you alone, I can understand revulsion and betrayal...I don't like myself much either. Especially not after last night...I almost made you cry," Calvin said, tone depressed as he reached a hand out towards Riley...but dropped it. He didn't want to see the rejection in her face.
Scooping the food together, Calvin tucked it all into a container and stuck that into his tote bag, not having had more than a few bites to eat. When Calvin noticed the group of girls from before head towards Riley's table, he murmured a few things low below the hearing of all but those he spoke too, and with wide eyes and a few uncertain giggles, the group weaved off to leave Riley alone. A satisfied smirk was on Calvin's face a bit, but it quickly died until it was just his head staring after the girls. Nostrils flaring once, eyes flicking around and somehow conveying the motion like a predator without his eyes actually being visible, Calvin shook his whole body, held his head like it hurt, and left the lunch room to head back to the classroom, lay down in the relative quiet while no one else was there; he had almost the whole lunch period to sleep, over half anyways. Maybe he would actually survive the day, enough to talk to the nurse or doctor to letting Calvin stay home. He was beat up physically AND mentally, emotionally. He knew those were the worst wounds, and that he had given some to Riley...but at least, otherwise, she was okay. She'd heal. Just...not as fast as the monster Calvin cursed himself bitterly. Riley watched a little curiously as Calvin was hesitant on taking the cross. Of course it was silver, and she couldn't help but wince at Calvin's own pain of touching it and putting it away. She bit her lip, trying to find the right words to say...
Riley nodded though at him. She could now understand why he wouldn't be. Regardless of his eyes changing or not, she wished she'd be able to look into his eyes again. I'm sorry.... She said softly, looking down at her lap and playing with the multiple band bracelets that were on her wrists.
She looked up at him, knowing he was looking at her and their eyes met. Well, her chocolate ones and his sunglasses... She opened her mouth to say something.. anything really.. but nothing came out, and that was when Calvin started to gather his things and stand up to leave. Moments after she stood up as well until the girls from the other day drew near.
With a confused gaze and scrunched eyebrows, Riley watched the girls walk around her table to the other direction. She found this odd, wondering if Calvin did anything. She looked back to see he was leaving. Thinking fast, she followed him to the classroom. Once she reached the room, noticing not even the teacher was there, she warily walked in. I couldn't sleep at all last night... I thought maybe... they had killed you... She said, her voice choking on her own words as her eyes started to tear up. Riley was well aware of what exactly Calvin was. She was just focusing for right now on him, wanting to be near him, breathe him in, touch him, everything. She missed him, and didn't want to stay away. She wasn't to sure about the werewolf part, but she hoped and prayed her Calvin was still there.

Looking up from his crossed arm, sunglasses slipping off his nose, Calvin's eyes widened as he heard, saw and smelled the tears in Riley's eyes. "Hey hey hey hey..." he said softly, rising at a normal, maybe a touch slower so as not to frighten Riley, pace to go over to her. Not even caring about the awkwardness, just seeing her tears, Calvin tripped upwards out of his seat and fell over a few chairs and sent them tumbling to the ground so he could wrap Riley in his arms, soft and warm, holding her gently with his cheek on the top of her head. "Shh, shh....don't cry, shhh, please don't cry," he murmured, baritone voice soothing as he gently rocked Riley, giving her a quick but still gentle squeeze. It was like the night before hadn't happened, Calvin just upset that Riley was unhappy. "They hadn't... I actually got most of the bruises from running my stupid head into trees," he joked, voice rumbling almost in a deeper echo of what it had been last night, Riley's head against his chest letting her ear catch the lower tone, the vibration of his voice. "I WILL have a limp for a while, though....who ever heard of a gimpy..." Calvin looked around real quick, hands still supportive at Riley's back and on her head, like with a child. "...a gimpy werewolf?" Calvin finished, his forehead to hers as he just held her. His shoulders started to shake, now Calvin's turn to cry. "I hated leaving you, I didn't want to leave...but, I..." His own voice choked, and Calvin sighed, finishing the thought in a rush as if hoping it made it worse. "...wantedtohurtthemforgrabbingyou. I couldn't stay, and make sure you were safe around me. God, Riley. So sorry..." The tears were obvious in his voice, his shaking shoulders the only other proof Calvin had taken an emotional hit from the night before.
Figuring Riley had enough comfort, if she desired, Calvin took a step back, hands lingering along the base of Riley's ribs. Just there, at her sides, almost ticklish through the shirt with the barest touch. She could easily back out, or get closer, Calvin's head bowed with the sunglasses mostly off, just hanging on my one ear and the tip of his nose. Calvin wasn't looking at Riley, couldn't see her expression. "It's not ALL bad. I'm not only just some freak, there ARE some nice points too. But, I would give even the perks up if I could erase last night." Calvin winced, his hip twinging, taking a stumbling step backwards with a hand to his side. "Gah! Gnnhhhh...." Moving his head back, teeth clenched, Calvin bowed his head again and let out heavy breaths, almost like breathing but nowhere near as soothing. "Sorry, it's...I can't heal silver as fast. I almost had to go to a hospital. It still hurts to walk, unless my mind's preoccupied, but the nerves still...twinge. I was only able to come to school because I was desperate to see if you were okay," Calvin admitted, unsure how to tell Riley he had to use extra energy to force his reluctant body to heal, and that he had hunted. Would she think less of him, or did she use guns too? "Would make hunting trips with my dad interesting...if not downright distracting," Calvin muttered to himself, massaging his hip a bit. He twisted to take a look, the entry areas still puckered and bright angry red, almost like they were rashed...considering the silver, that made sense. But aside from the irritated skin, the fact the holes were about as wide as a dime and could fit a whole pinky nail down deep, Calvin's hip was in pretty good shape. Visibly, anyways...it hurt more down farther where bone was still having a few issues getting back together again. Music in My Head I'm feeling stuck in anAsylum I currently have... loose blue jeans with a white button-up long-sleeved shirt tucked inside, top three buttons undone and sleeves rolled. Riley smiled sadly at Calvin as he tried to reach her. Still clumsy... Her face was red and her eyes were glossy with fresh salty tears. One she was in Calvin's arms, she instinctively slid her hands around his mid section and hugged him tightly. Quite a few more tears flowed from her eye glands as he trued to calm her. Her breathes calming as he rocked her, unable to pull away because she never wanted to. She laughed sadly at his joke, carefully raising her face to gently press her lips against his forehead. Then, she moved her head back down against his chest and nuzzled him. However, their foreheads were leaning gently on one another as he started shaking too. She hated seeing him like this.. It was horrible.. I'm here Calvin... It's okay.. I understand. She said leaning in a bit to kiss him softly on his warm lips for a few monents.
Then it was ended when he pulled away. Seeing his sun glasses were practically off, she gently slid them off and set them on a up right desk beside them. Her eyes widended and face worried like last night when he stumbled holding his side. I'm so sorry Calvin... She said biting ber lip, her hand moving gently over his large hand over his wounded hip. Is there anything I can do to help? She asked him in a gentle tone. However, she carefully pulled him back to her, ignoring her last question. I'm just glad you're alive.. She said happy to hold him again.

Hell, it's been Hell...but I might have found my Heaven. If she doesn't think I'm a monster... Calvin let himself fall into the kiss, but mindful of time and unsure if it was just sympathy, he had pulled away. But when Riley pulled him back towards her...careful of the odd holes...Calvin let himself be led into her body. Hands slow but firm against her sides, Calvin just stood there a moment, body still shaking a bit, a weak chuckled after her own sad laugh at his stupid joke. Tilting his head, thinking about the question, Calvin closed his eyes and started humming Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring calmly to soothe Riley. He smiled against her hair as he thought of an answer, and bent his face to look into Riley's eyes. "Kiss to make it better?" he asked, managing to make his tone light but with a straight face, waggling his eyebrows. He did wince though, since standing like that was making his hip ache, weight on it. Moving back to his desk and tripping on his own feet again, Calvin went ahead and sat down, drawing Riley gently down with him to sit across his lap. Calvin just sat there, arms wrapped around her waist with his wrists crossed on her hip on the other side, his own side angled so she rested against his good hip, the bad one without pressure against it."I'm glad to be alive too...and more glad that you're not still SUPER angry with me," Calvin murmured against his arm. "To really help? Just be there, be yourself...that's why I...why I..." He couldn't quite say he LOVED her, wasn't sure, but....what the hell. "Why I want to spend time with you, such a wonderful person to know." Head against her arm, Calvin seemed to relax, wincing as he released a huge sigh and closed his eyes. "I don't mean to get too freaky but....mind if I smell you?" he asked, tone veeeeeeery quiet and shy, Calvin blushing at his blunt request. "If it bothers you, I don't have to, it's okay!" he hastily stated, getting some response from her that Riley wasn't too comfortable. He facepalmed. "Sorry...I can be normal. Kind of... If that's what you want," Calvin offered, tone quiet but serious, eyes back to their normal pale blue with a ring as he looked up at her, head just a bit above his sitting on his lap. Riley Closed her eyes when Calvin Started humming, it actually was calming her down. Then, she met his eyes and couldn't help but smile and laugh a little quietly. If it would have made him feel better than yes, she would have Done it. She frowned seeing him wince, frsutrated she couldn't do anything useful. Carefully, she sat on Calvin's lap, as to not hurt him. At his comments. She smiled and kissed his forehead. I'm not going anywhere... She said in an honest tone. And wrapped her arm around his one shoulder, dragging her thumb back and forth lightly on the back of his shoulder. She flashed a white smile at his request, looking down and nodding. Y-you can. She said then moved her hand under his chin and moved his face to look her in the eyes. Normal is boring. I want you Calvin. You and only you. She said then kisses his cheek and droppped her hands to her lap. Then, she turned a bit and leaned back in a way of not hurting Calvin, and held her arms out a bit; As in a way to say "have at it" for Calvin to... Sniff her.

Hell, it's been Hell...but I might have found my Heaven. If she doesn't think I'm a monster... Eyes closed but head still down, Calvin relaxed with Riley's words, and under her touch. Something hard in his middle loosened, and when Riley lifted his chin Calvin gave her suspiciously wet eyes, and a small, shy but somehow confident smile...she was his confidence, Riley gave Calvin courage. Maybe, just maybe... His hope rose, something else getting a bit harder as she kissed him, his mixed-up emotions making any relief that little extra bit sweet to experience. "You just made me the happiest...well, not man, but still...guy in the world, Riley," he murmured, taking the hand she used to touch his chin. Making sure Riley was settled, Calvin went ahead and turned so her wrist was upwards, and doo a deep inhale right at the pulse. His breath sighed, tickling and warm, also running some of her deepened scent off his breath back to the teen's nose. He moved his head to get a better look at Riley, moving light, almost nonexistent kisses up her arms, another inhale at the elbow. Calvin was able to ignore his aching hip, just feeling calm, contained yet excited, wild yet controlled, tempted yet behaving with Riley's assent, her permission. Holding her at the waist and gently moving Riley closer to his torso, higher on his leg, Calvin moved in slowly, still looking at Riley so he'd know if/when he wanted him to stop, if he was entering danger zones.
Eyeing her stomach for a moment, Calvin shook his head and instead moved his nose to the hollow of Riley's neck where it joined the shoulders, and gave THAT pulse point a tiny lick with the tip of his tongue. Another warm sigh, an a deep inhale, nose actually touching her skin as Calvin moved up Riley's chin and jaw to bury his face in her hair. He tugged oh-so-carefully, gently, on the arm still in his light but firm grip, just his fingeretips...so exciting, so dangerous - tamed, by her...so she'd come down just enough to actually have his face hidden in Riley's hair. "Mmm..." he breathed, content, and feeling really happy. Giving a sigh more felt on her neck more than heard, forehead leaning against her temple, Calvin gently lay a single finger alongside the girl's chin and applied just enough pressure so she'd look at him. "You DO taste good...and I don't get extra buds or anything," he joked, eyes still uncertain, yet....triumphant. The absolute male of him, the animal, knew Riley was his...but Calvin, the Italian boy, wanted to make sure Riley was comfortable, not afraid. Afraid of him would be bad, and depressing. But, this acceptance....she wanted HIM, normal was boring... Calvin closed his eyes, savoring those words with a calm, almost cherubic expression on his face."Thank you..." he whispered against her lips, trying to make it a full-effort kiss, an attempt to steal Riley's breath away and eat her scent like a wonderful aftertaste. He didn't get extra tastebuds, like he joked, though Calvin DID have a greater...appreciation...for fresh blood and raw meat. It could happen to any normal human, if the brain decided it was necessary. So that, THAT enjoyment of Riley was purely human. Well, mostly...scent was tied to taste, so the more smells he got, so the more intricate tastes Calvin could receive.
Hands at her back not quite into Riley's backpockets, to help keep her on his lap, Calvin was enjoying himself, finishing when he wanted, with another lick along her lip a bit after the bell rang. "Mmm...little girl, little girl, I could eat you right up," he teased, going to the lower ends of his natural register, looking up at Riley and letting her see his eyes go silver. He then looked sheepish, shrugged and gave her a quick hug. "Sorry, I will keep the big bad wolf jokes down, if you don't like them. Gotta admit, it IS great material though," he stated, laughing deprecatingly at himself with a shake of his head while Calvin reluctantly let Riley go as students could be heard even to human ears outside...time for class, the kiss having gone past the bell. Calvin felt dreamy, floating...oh yeah, he was lucky. He had an issue, and aside from the lying aspect...Riley wanted him. HIM, strange, freaky, Calvin... Oh goodie, he could hardly wait to nab her after school. Oh, wait...his car was at the pier. Hmmm...run? Take Riley with? Now, THAT wouldn't be normal at all...and maybe fun. He'd have to check the route first. And eat...more than he'd had. Calvin looked better, but at the thought of food...his stomach lurched. Okay, so not that day, he'd run alone. Le sigh. Music in My Head I'm feeling stuck in anAsylum I currently have... loose blue jeans with a white button-up long-sleeved shirt tucked inside, top three buttons undone and sleeves rolled. Riley watched Calvin with great interest as he turned her wrist upright. She bite her lip, the corners of her mouth trying to turn into a smile as he smelled her pulse. She thought it was... Funny. She cocked her head a bit to the side as he moved up her arm. She closed her eyes, relaxing her muscles as Calvin continued. She liked how gentle and careful he was being. She was grateful at that. She didn't know how good this was to Calvin, or if it was good at all. She blushed when she realized her chest was pressed right up against his, sitting on his leg at the edge of his thigh. She made no objections, knowing her boyfriend knew what he was going and she trusted him.
Riley moved her head backwards as to expose more of her neck to him if he needed and wanted it. She shivered when he licked her neck, sending a chill up her spine but in the best of ways. Her cheeks rose to a bright pink as his face was buried in her dark chocolate waves of hair. She lowered her head back down to normal, her chin just to the side of his head as she was pulled a little bit by Calvin. She smiled when her face was moved to meet his eyes. Riley expected him to kiss her, since he was so close, but literally, each time he kissed her, it took her very breathe away. Just the way he moved, his gentleness, slow, careful movements made everything alright. Lips molding together as they kissed, Riley had moved her arms up around Calvin's neck in a lazy fashion; right before the bell rang.
With a small pouty expression, Riley didn't want to get off of Calvin's lap to leave and go to class.. And have to go another 3 hours without seeing him...Well maybe the had 5th hour she thought... She smiled feeling his tongue on her lip again. He had a habit of doing that and that was fine. She laughed softly at his joke, looking at his silver eyes. She shook her head, not really even close to getting used to that quite yet. Oh my, What big eyes you have... She said in a smooth quiet voice with a wink. She gave a peck on his lips and pulled back to look at him. Well they're even better because we can actually use them. She said then frowned when students started to pile in the hallways. She sighed, being quite reluctant herself about letting go of Calvin. Knowing she had to go to class or her parents would freak on her, she stood up, tugging gently on Calvin's hands to pull him right up close against her. I'll see you after school. M'kay? She said with a small hug she savored then pulled away walking backwards towards the door. Another wink and a blow of a kiss she disappeared into the hallway with the other students. She wasn't sure how she'd be able to pay attention in class now. She felt like she was flying, floating on clouds, etc. She imagined Calvin was probably too.
