YEARBOOK BOOTH SKREE BALL
"Yes, Mom." Mac chuckled, continuing to be a bit of a jerk for her. He let her fawn over him, figuring it was easier than trying to fight her; besides, he was still bleeding.
"Alright, tomorrow." He agreed, rubbing the back of his head until he realized it was still bloody, and then just wiped his hands off on his pants again. "You promised." Well, she might as well have! As much as it thoroughly annoyed him to be kept in the dark, he thought it might be a good idea to let her have her space about it.
Especially when she knew how hard she could throw drums.
"Hug, then?" He offered, turning to her and holding out his arms. Hugging a friend wasn't something he could get in trouble for, especially since hugs were well known to be happy makers.

Shun stared flatly at Mot as he cleared things up a little. Something big had happened prior to the confession. There were a few things that could have meant given any context. Seeing how this was Hel they were talking about, it was possible that one or the other had proposed marriage and it was actually agreed upon. However... there was the whole issue of 'faking it' and 'enjoying' it that pretty much nixed that end.
The reaper wasn't exactly pleased to hear this. If Mitsu had pulled something like that on him.. he'd be pretty devastated. Just her deciding that she no longer loved him would be hard enough.
"And you have issues with my actions," he said flatly before watching as Mot dunked himself again...
"Really now. So you broke her heart and now you're just stuffing your head in a bucket instead of doing something about it."

FMC CLUB BOOTH - REAPER STADIUMNeedle was alone, which on it's own was a little odd for her. Usually she had someone with her, be it her twin sister or her boilfriend...but today, it was just her. In a rather bustling place, too! Filled with so many sounds and shapes and things to do, so much so that the Engraver, who was nearly blind thanks to her mask, was having a bit of a sensory overload.
After a little blind wandering and some accidental scratching of strangers (it was a little difficult to maneuver in crowds when your arms were impaled with sharp-ended spikes, after all!), Needle finally paused in front of one of the booths, spotting what was probably a sign with what was likely instructions.
So messy, though. No matter how she leaned in she couldn't decipher what the words said, and with a somewhat frustrated sigh, the ghoul straightened properly and looked about, raising a blue-ish-purple ink stained hand to point at the first vaguely student-shaped silhouette she saw.
"Excuse me, may I ask for your assistance?" She called, her voice proper and soft. "I am unable to read this sign." As she explained why she needed help, she gestured towards the post she was referring to, one which said, in mostly unreadable scrawl, PINATA MURDERER.

SKREEEEEEE BAWL – Yearbook
Hel stared at her bloodied hand and then sighed again, exasperated. The ghoul shrugged off her jacket, and, as much as she did like it, she could do without. She the rolled up the main part of it, and then reached up to pull Mac down by the collar of his. She then wrapped the jacket around his head, the cushier part pressed against the back of his head, and then used the sleeves to tie it tightly.
He looked ridiculous. Hel didn’t care. She even pinched his cheek and pulled on it, and made a kissy face at him. “There you go, my sweet little scareling.” Scathing with sarcasm, and she nodded. “I did, and I always…I always hold true to my word.” The ghoul paused as he held his arms out to her, and stared at him for a moment. She looked like she might get emotional, as her lip wibbled, but she scowled then, and hugged him in return, tightly.
“Thank you.”

Mot emerged in time to hear that, spitting the dead fish out and rubbing his tongue on his sleeve. Eeeew dead fish. Grody.
"Um, yes. That is the gist of it." He made a face, taking a scale from his tongue and flicking it into the water. "What do you expect me to do, Shun? String her along in a fake romance just so her heart will remain the same?" He huffed and started to wring out his hair. "I have feelings too, you know. Do they not matter?"
"I felt trapped, Shun. I wanted out. The love was not there. i was fighting a battle I didn't even want to win anymore. I admit, I did something with her I shouldn't have in the process; gave into desire when love was no longer the fuel.... So what would you have me do, hm? Turn back time?" Mot remembered the smug look Mac gave him. That mixed with the taste of dead fish...
Mot held a hand to his mouth.
He felt sick again.

FMC Club Booth - Reaper Staduim Maggie had decided to wander around the different booths while the other bands situated themselves. Coming up to a booth with a pinata in front of it, she was caught by a ghoul asking for help. Looking at the sign, she giggled a bit. " It says 'Pinata Murderer'. Looks like fun, too! Are you planning on playing?"

YEARBOOK CLUB - SKREE BALL
Mac did look ridiculous, but he always tended to let his own pride slip - just a little - when it came to making someone he loved feel better. That was why his hair ended up in braids sometimes with Lizzy, and it was why he let Hel tie a jacket around his head in the most ridiculous way imaginable. Of course his love for the two ghouls were very different, but his willingness to make himself (more of) an idiot was the same.
"But Moooom, the other kids'll laugh at me~" He whined as real as he could, which was pretty good considering he had a jacket tied around his head, and then wrapped his arms around her. He didn't try to crush her like she was no doubt doing to him, he just held her securely, tight enough to let her know he was there if nothing else.
"I'm sure he deserved the blood, whatever he did." He assured her, taking to swaying obnoxiously from side to side with the ghoul still in his arms. "But next time, try to hit him more, and less me, okay?"

FMC Club Booth - Reaper Stadium"Pinata Murderer." Needle repeated, brushing her lips with her inky fingers. "That would explain this object." She took up the stick, holding it at both ends. The thought of playing though was seriously considered; would it be okay if she murdered this pinata? Murder was a serious issue, or so she had come to believe.
"I suppose..." She murmured thoughtfully, holding out the stick to the ghoul in offering. "I am uncertain of the rules, would you be kind enough to show me how it is done?"

“If they laugh, then you punch them in the kidneys. Hard.” Hel replied, hanging onto him still, and let herself be swept side to side by the taller reaper. If Hel had any less pride, she’d probably be all emotional right now about how she really appreciated Mac’s support, would probably be teary eyed from how touched she was, and all that other good stuff. Luckily she had way too much pride and a big ego, so she kept it very much in check. Right now.
“Ya…that is another promise too.” Hel knew to some extent she got sloppy and one track minded when she was mad…Mac had just been in the cross fire. “…I apologize.” She murmured. It was her fault she wanted to put a jacket on his head in the first place.

Shun's expression didn't change as Mot came back up with a dead fish. Well then. Ignoring that bit, he just continued to frown while the cowboy spoke. A part of this was definitely on the fault of the other reaper for doing what he did. He never would have thought him to be the type to do such a thing. It seemed that he was wrong on that front.
"Was it necessary to bring it up just a few days after the fact?" he asked, "I'm not saying to string her along but you may as well have stuck a dagger to her heart. The damage is done. Wouldn't offering a bandage in the least be ideal?"
The reaper shrugged. He didn't know much about these things and he had a lot on his mind as is regarding Mitsu and her condition. It was draining. And fighting in bands today wasn't really helping with his general fatigue. At least now he didn't have to hear Mac screech any longer.

YEARBOOK CLUB - SKREE BALL
"You'll make a great Mom one day." Mac deadpanned as she gave him permission to kidney shot all the other 'kids' who made fun of him.
"You'd better be sorry." He mock-threatened to her apology, deciding that was a better answer than a wishy-washy I FORGIVE YOU ALWAYS that everyone may have expected. This was Mac, come on people! "And next time I'll try to stand a little more to the left." Which may have been his problem in the first place, to be honest.
"Whelp, okay then, lets get some of this frustration out of you." He announced suddenly, letting her go and patting her on the head. "I officially challenge you to skree ball!"

"I.. should have waited.." Mot replied, slowing down the wringing out of his hair. "In hindsight.. but there would never be a good time to bring it up either." He let his hands drop, water dripping from his hands, face and clothes.
"I don't know how to bandage a broken heart. I've had one numerous times in the time we'd been together, but nothing ever healed it but time and circumstance." It wasn't as if Hel had been perfect either, but this wasn't about her past follies, it was about his recent one.

FMC Club Booth - Reaper Stadium" Oh, I suppose! Lemme just read the rules real quick.", Maggie chimed happily in reply. This was starting to get exciting. Maybe this ghoul would be her friend! She turned around to read the sign with the rules on it. " Put blindfold on...blindfold...blindfold...OH! Here it is!", she mumbled as she looked around for it. Looking up again she continued reading aloud, but mostly to herself. " Get stick...oh yeah!" Turning to the other ghoul, she took the offered stick, then turned back to finish reading. " Aaaaand....spin around and whack pinata. Sounds easy enough! You're going to be able to see me, right?"

"No, but the sting would have been less I believe," Shun said darkly before shaking his head.
"So that's it then," he murmured quietly, "Leave her to her own devices. If anything it may harden her heart in the least."
He felt that something could be done about it. The problem was that he didn't know what to suggest the cowboy. But simply leaving it be did not sound like the correct answer to him.

Probably. The sting might have been less. Mot had been a bit eager, it seemed.
"She said we'd still be friends... but after today? Maybe she lied about that too." Mot frowned. "I must really be terrible... because... I just don't even want to help her anymore. I left her to her own devices because I thought she needed time away from me. I'm so sorry I assumed she could take care of herself."
Mot was surprised by his bitterness, rubbing his temples softly.
Shun was standing here, speaking on her behalf. The two of them seemed closer than he thought. "You're a better friend to her than I ever was. Why are you here talking to me? More revenge for loved ones? Go where you are needed.. go to her."
Mot turned and started to walk away. "You take care of her; I sure don't want to see her again."
