Vera smiled, "Well I would be glad to teach your sewing or making jewelry but there are so many other things too. I have some craft books if you would like to look at them at my place." She stole a glance at the other mare and smiled. When they got to a three story building she smiled, "I am on the second floor. I hope you don't mind stairs?"

Aranel smiled, "Making my own jewelry... that would certainly save me money." She laughed lightly at the thought. "I don't mind stairs." She followed the mare up to her home and smiled.

Vera smiled and gives a bit of a nod as she leads the way to her room. It was a small apartment one room apartment. It did have its own bathroom though and that is what caused the place to be so expensive. But Vera smiled and lit the lights to it. "Well I can give you lots of books on it then and you are more than welcome to come over and practice here I have lots of supplies." The main room had a table and some chairs the walls were covered with selves of books and supplies. To one side there was a large craft table next to stacks of fabric. "It is a bit messy but please make yourself at home.

Aranel looked around the apartment and smiled. "Messy or not it is a nice place." She moved to the bookshelf her fingers brushing against the spines of the books. She picked up the one entitled "Sewing for Beginners" and sat at the work table. Her eyes wandered to the cloth on the table. "That is gorgeous..."

Vera smiles and nods,"Yes messy or not it is home." She put the scrp on the normal table and looked pulled a pad out to start listing things that she might need to do. "Oh? Oh yes the fabric is pretty isn't it. If you want there is a design book on the work table with some dress ideas in it if you would like to look at it and I could maybe make you one if you like?"

She leaned forward to look at the designs in the book she smiled as she found the one she wanted. "How about this one?" It was a one sleeved dress a v-neck and a slit in the long skirt that went to mid-thigh. "I wonder if I could pull that look off."

Vera set down her pen and walked over to look at the design that the other was looking at. "Hmm...well with the proper color I am sure you could pull the look of nicely. Shall I take your measurements and you can pick out the fabrics?" She smiled and leaned over the table to grab the tape measurer she had there. "I bet we can get you looking very nice."

Aranel nodded and stood walking over to her. "How about blue... a darker blue?" She kept looking around the place and then looked to the woman in front of her. "Do you get lonely, Vera?"

Vera thought about it and gave a nod, "I think I could work out a nice dark blue for you. Do you prefer soft or silky material?' She asked as she started to take Aranel's measurements. "Well I think everyone tends to get lonely from time to time. Though I am used to being alone. My sister is right there. I do'nt have many friends I hang out with." She gives a smile, "Your the first one in a long time actually."

"I'm glad you think of me as your friend, Vera. I think of you as a friend too." Aranel smiled, "You know I vaguely remember playing with a kid in the park when I was little... but that was a long time ago." She looked at the ceiling as she thought. "Make it a soft material please."

Vera nods, "Of course. I don't see why you would not be a friend. Well I have met others in the past but I have only ever see anyone apart from my sister once. I guess they are not really even worthy to think about again." She watched the other think and gave a nod, "Alright a soft material it will be. I know lots of those and I will make it both warm but able to breath. This is going to be fun. Hopefully you will like the finished product. I might add a bit of change to it if you don't mind but it will mostly be what you pointed out in the book."

Aranel smiled at Vera. Her mom was right she really did get along with this mare. "What kind of change where you thinking of?" She leaned over to the book to get a look at the design.

Vera turned to the book and smiled, "well a longer of lace around the collar and along the bottom. It will give it a more elegant look and both cover and draw ones eyes to your bust as well as your shapely legs. I was also thinking of a bit of a sash over the left side. But the sash might be a bit much. What do you think?" Vera was finding it rather easy to talk to the other mare. Maybe her sister had been right and she needed to be a bit more social.

"I see what you mean... I think the lace would look good for this design... How about you make the sash more of an addon so that way if it doesn't look right it can be removed without harming the gown.

Vera give a nod, "Yes that could work...though I am sure if I make the sash thick enough you could use it as a shall for your shoulders if the weather is chilly when you wear it. Great idea Aranel!" she said and moved to pull some fabric out of the pile to hold it up near the other mare, "Just checking for the right color. Don't worry these might not be the finall material. Unless....I have the prefect one."
