The next shard she absorbed must have been a weak one. Barely feeling any better at all. All she could do for the moment was lean against a nearby tree, hoping no one would pick her out amongst the fray until she could at least get some of her strength back.

Jack it. It was time to burn down the garage.

But even still in her weak state Mei couldn't even make a dent in the barrier. It was frustrating. The others were probably heading here by now, having rescued the kidnapped students and the barrier was still up.

The petite conquest woman, Lifen, was the first, and seemingly last, of their original group to join them after the crossing. It made the priestess a little uneasy, but surely the others had found other targets to aim for. She would have preferred they had stuck together, or at least one had remained close, she wasn't worried for them. They were members of the Lost Clans, strength and pride would see them through this great battle. The thought was enough to raise rounded shoulders. The others would charge forward, and she and those that remained would fight here and secure themselves base of their own.

The subtle once over from Lifen went unnoticed, but the delicate smile that followed did not, although beyond a greeting Nergui had little idea what might have spawned it. She eyed the other heterchromic woman, chin falling barely half an inch in acknowledgement before the other summoned her weapon and attacked the the barrier surrounding the outpost, and with that what ever little exchange they'd just shared was over.

Nergui's own blade back to her hand, long and curved, and every bit as dark as her own twilit features. She didn't linger beside her clansman, but charged forward, lacking the convenience of a ranged weapon.

The first strike was almost startling. Her target was huge, and there was no clear indication of where to hit, but the vibrations that had sang up the length of her blade as it had struck the barrier were unmistakable. It had not been and overall powerful attack, but it had not been weak either, and it brought to life that spark within her that always remain burning deep in her core. The desire for revenge, the need to fight, and the thrill of battle. It brought an uncommon grin to the priestess's face, as wild as it was cold, and her golden eye glowed bright enough to cast gilded shadows over midnight features.

Again she lashed out, turning on her heel for and overhead strike against the only thing that separated her and her allies from the outpost within. The arc lacked control though, and the clash of blade she'd been expecting was nothing more then a hiss as the dark metal skittered across the barrier's surface. It left the horsewoman cursing, irritated.

Her next swing was far more fruitful, and the horsewoman gave a rough shout as the impact of the blade against the barrier sent a shock up her arm. It was like striking a brick wall, but this wall was going to fall.

She hadn't been watching the assault on the barrier before she'd charged into the battle herself, but there was something, some unseen hint or clue, that they were close. A few more well aimed hits, that was all they needed. She was sure of it.

Tori looked around for potential creatures to attack and her weapon was giving her advice on what he thought. But just as she was looking towards the outposts she spotted a horsemen with vines on his head. Growling she found her target oh how much she was feeling with hate as she rubbed her shoulder with the birthmarks she had gotten from the famine room.

Running right for that famine horseman weapon already summoned and raised high and with so much kill in her eyes.

There was a famine horseman not too far away from her, and as she glanced his way she caught the flash of a white coat charging towards him. Pausing in her attacks she straightened, calling out to him, "Look out!" But it was too late, they'd already engaged each other.

Stiffening, the priestess returned to her task at hand. The sooner the barrier was destroyed, the sooner...

She wasn't sure, but that didn't stop her from raising her blade for another downward slash.

Rin had slept in through quite a lot of the chaos somehow; leaving most of her group to fend for themselves. Once she got past the groggy chilling in her and Ami's epic tent though... Byr was immediately summoned and brandished as she rushed from the tent to receive Killzone's orders; pretty much up to her? Well, up to her is to stay here and fight with her ******** teammates yo.
