She listened, yes she heard something...footsteps! Of course her ears could guide her in this match. She remembered having learned about this in one of her classes. When one of the senses is lost, the others are heightened greatly to make up for it. She smirked, she didn't know how close he was but he was close and now her guard was up.

"Good luck my friend" he had said. She wanted to laugh, he was anything but her friend right now. It was tempting to send a flame in his direction, but she knew better. He would strike first, let him. If her ears worked well enough she'd have time to launch a counter attack then.

"Are you sure I'm your friend dear Darius?" She said, her voice was oddly affectionate with a hint of ill intent. She sought to intimidate him, in anyway she could. But before her mind could think about that she hear something. A swish, and the sound of a sliding foot.

JUMP! she thought. He was trying to trip her. She waited, waited and waited until it was the right time. And then she jumped, her feet raising in the air to dodge the side sweep that was aimed to trip her up. Seyla lit a flame and threw it down, it wasn't a strong one, rather it was only red in color, no where near the hottest flame she could wield- but it would definately do damage if it hit her opponent.

She watched the flame, and through its light caught a brief glimpse of her appointment, he seemed to be around her age, and rather attractive at that. Two piercing crystal blue eyes seemed to hide behind his curly brown hair. But there was something different about him. On his back, there were wings! So maybe this would get interesting, after all she'd always wanted to fight someone with atleast some demonic blood in them.

Seyla felt herself land safely on the ground again, as her knees bent and her gloved hand touched the cool tile. She listened again, there was no scream, so he must have dodged it. She'd get him next time though, and if not then well 3 times a charm right? Carefully she stood, trying to be quiet as she did so, she had no doubt that he was using his ears just as she was.

His voice filled the space in which they occupied once more. This time it seemed to be a humorous little comment to himself.

"Yes Darius flames are bad, they burn you, so I suggest you be fast on your feet if you don't want to get hurt" She replied sweetly. All the while she grinned mischieviously as the flames were born from her hands. There were two this time, and they were a dark red once again. It'd take something emotionally intense to get her to whip out the blue flames, which was a very good thing for Darius. They illuminated her face, and her whole body, her golden grey eyes shimmering in there light, as the shadows seemed to highlight her toned body.

This fight would be rather interesting. But she didn't have time to ponder that as she began an assault on him, dashing she threw the two flames towards him, only for two more to be born from her hands, and these followed the other two quickly. She continued launching the flames in his direction, hoping that a few would at least hit him, after all this was pretty risky. If she kept this up too long, she'd use up too much of her energy- energy she'd definately need later in the fight.

Seyla seemed pretty confident that at least one of the flames would hit him but she forgot about his wings and that would be her downfall. Suddenly she felt his legs kick into her chest and she fell back to the ground, the wind being knocked out of her. She coughed a few times, noting the sudden pain in her ribs.

She'd kill him if he broke one of her ribs right, there she swear she would. And that gave her an idea. She'd use that to propel her flame, to make it grow. The glove it feeded off of her emotions, and if she were to get pissed off enough at Darius this would be over in no time. She stood trying to convince herself that she hated him, picturing him as Joy, the one who had hurt her teacher, Kurai so much. It was then that flames were born in her eyes, electric blue in color, as the same type of flames enveloped her hands, illuminating almost the entire ring.

"You're gonna pay for what you did to him!" she yelled loudly, yeah no problem convincing herself that he had hurt Kurai now. Heh, he was screwed.

Seyla thought long and hard, she wasn't stupid enough to throw her flames at him, not from so far away. So she dashed towards him, jumping up and flipping over him at the last moment, only to throw two of the flames towards his back. If this didn't work she might just have to resort to hand to hand combat and she wasn't looking foward to that. He had to have a weakness of some sort!

She had to find out what he was...what kind of demon was in his blood. Was it a vampire? A lycan? Or simply something of an entirely different breed. Everyone had their weaknesses, her lack of knowledge of her opponent prevented her from finding his. Not to mention he had probably pinpointed a weakness on her already. She had to turn this fight around!

Darius watched as Seyla as she jumped over him he turned around to see two blue flames coming towards him. He was going to dodge when he tripped and landed on his stomach, he was able to dodge the flames, but he was on the ground now.

He proceeded to try and swing his legs around so he could sweep at Seyla's feet. This fight was gruling and hard how was he going to get close enough to attack her?

Darius was in trouble, he was about to get burned quite heavily if the fire connected. He had to get out of here but he was stuck. How would he do this.

His eyes widened as he suddnly thought of something. He had contemplated using telekinisis, but he had never tryed using it on something he couldn't see.

He focused hard on where he thought the fireballs were and began to lift them up and direct them towards Seyla. Hoping this would get her off of him.

She grinned delightfully, she had him right where she wanted him. And she stood there, tempted to laugh a little at the pathetic position he was in. But she didn't. She waited for the screams but they never came. Seyla wondered what had happened, hadn't they hit him? Wasn't he badly burnt now. She began to suspect otherwise.

It was then that she saw the flames once more only they were coming back in her direction. They were directed towards her!

"What the heck?!" she exclaimed and Seyla quickly pulled off of Darius' back, letting the poor boy up. She rolled down on the floor to get out of the way of the incoming flames. Part of her wondered if these flames could burn her but she would rather not take the chance. The two flames still chased after her though. How was he doing this?

"Telekinetic..son of a b***h" she muttered under her breath finally realizing what was happening. She pulled herself up once more and started to run, she'd have to think fast to get out of this one.

As she ran she tried to listen for Darius, but it was hard, especially now that her mind was elsewhere. She had to think. "Think Seyla Think!" she told herself over and over. She sould be able to extinguish the flame should she not? It was then that Seyla stopped facing the flames. With all of her will power she concentrated on putting out the flames. Closer they came, and the beads of sweat on her forehead seemed to grow larger. She bit her lip, with the urge to groan loudly in frustration but she had to do this. She had to!

Finally one of them disappeared from sight and existence, but the other was still heading towards her. It was still that intense electric blue, something that would surely cause her plenty of damage and immense pain.

Dark blue...Violet...Dark Red...Red... but by then it was too late. Seyla cried out, with a loud scream of pain, the flame immediately the skin of her abdomen and right arm. She fell down to the ground, curling up as she clutched her stomach and arm in pain. It was too much too much. How had she let that happen? Tears had already begun to flow as blood mixed with it. She was afraid to look down and see what she looked like, it would only add to the great pain she felt right then.
