Mitsu flinched back at that glare wondering and hoping Shun would be normal again. It hurt more than the empty feeling she had inside and she desperately wanted everything to be right. " M..Maybe you should leave the shard?" She suggested. It was probably what was making him so out of sorts wasn't it? At least she hoped that was the cause and it wasn't something she had done. And then, like a magical creeper, Shik meandered over to the horsemen party, bony tail coiling and winding like an impatient serpent. Of the voices that had carried over (their conversation was hardly private after all), he recognized the vaisel and gukumatz - and that was all he needed to intrude honestly. Shik might have preferred the loner lifestyle 90% of the time, but the 10% leftover had to be fit in somehow.
And, well, what better place to do it than in this unnatural tower?

Edel arrived and looked up at the giant, towering dragon thing.
She knew what she had to do.
Here we go again, she grumbled, beating her wings to send shards of ice towards the creature. Why everyone was attacking it was a mystery to her, until she figured out that everybody probably didn't like the idea of getting squashed and dissipated.

Unfortunately, no, Shun was not back to normal just yet. After he had struck the large dragon, he backed away, continually hissing at it as it was a threat to both himself and the fragments. When Mitsu suggested that he leave the shard, he gave her a sharp look. "You just want it for yourself don't you? No, you can't have it. This is mine," he said while turning towards her, taking a more aggressive stance. He would fight her for it if he had to. Mitsu took a step back as Shun turned toward her with that sharp look his stance becoming defensive. Her tail instantly came up between her legs her ears lowered in a more submissive position. " I...I don't want the shard....but...why do you want it?" Mitsu asked quietly. Maybe if he gave it some thought he would realize he didn't need it. Jay's response to her question was highly unfavorable to the war chieftain, and she felt about ready to go on a murderous rampage at this point, starting by ripping off the gukumatz's wings and throwing them into the maw of the dragon they were supposed to be paying attention to. Senga's quick reply had her smirking, like only a vaisel could smirk (could they smirk? This one totally could). "Watch it, Jay, or you might find you don't have them much longer." She lifted up a paw, claws fully extended, in a threatening manner, her eyes narrowed dangerously. That was about as far as she got, however, when a strange, floating, bony minipet hovered on over, making her puff up once more, and bound backwards a couple of feet while hissing and spitting. There was something about that gaze...that completely stoic look that jarred a memory inside of her. "SHIK?" her voice might have raised an octave or ten, practically shrieking. Just what she needed. This complete waste of muscle barging in on a totally legitimate and serious conversation that wasn't at all going nowhere towards helping them escape this hell fast. Ya, that's right. Shortly after his little garage of pecks, Mort spat out the flesh and had wobbled away before he could get stamped on, or worse. "Bleeeehhhhhh," he grumbled, sticking out a bruise-colored tongue as he came upon the wyvling's own entry into the fray. Mrrr, did this body have something long-range like that? Maybe he could still access some form of his electricity . . . Well, worth a try next time; the dragon didn't really taste good.
"Ah, um, d-doing alright st-still?" Mort couldn't help but ask her, noting that some of the previously affected mini pets from before were still acting strangely. The beautiful thing was that, now that she knew the meaning of life existence and the REASON for living... she did not care about anything but ehr shard. The shard was everything. As the dragon tried to hit her, SEPARATE her from her beloved, she lashed out at the dragon with a hissing noise. NO. HERS. Senga, while mildly pleased with his entourage of jabberjay the second sherlock holmes and Shaheen, was not at all pleased with his position when something new and glowing and bony floated over to them. "Oh," He blinked owlishly at the Shik!creeper, and then wriggling, flipped Jay and him over, paws squarely on her chest. "Oh!" he said, and bouncing away, turned and wagged his tail at the strange beast.
It was very... leery.
And large. Yes. Why.
The Sirius Star promptly, and without warning, pushed himself up onto his hind legs, sticking his paws onto Shik's bony face and leering back at him as best he could. The expression quickly melted, however, into a wide, owlish stare. "Hello." The genderswapped mini said. "Yes, hello. Are you one of ours?"
His head tilted backwards when Shaheen shrieked a name only familiar to him through the words of others from his clan and a vague idea of who his paws were on right at this... very... moment. Oh, that was why this one was so very large. Staring back at the Soul Eater, Senga's ears flicked back. "You mean the Executioner? And it is more of floating. Jay has actual wings, for which I do not think is fair."

It was easy to tell now that the shard was the issue but that didn't make Shun's following statement sting any less. His words felt like a vice grip on her heart and she did what she could to keep from whimpering from the emotional pain. " D....Do you really consider me a weakness?" Diana glared at the ugly thing that had started attacking them. Not that she cared about the others here, they would just betray her in the end. However, she couldn't sit and let this thing live to see another day. Senga was a very cute minipet. Why had she never realized this before? Oh, that was right. They had never been minipets until now. Jay mustered a grin as his fur puffed up before Senga reached out to grab her face. She let out a soft, startled squawked that slowly turned into shrieking laughter. “Senga! I can’t take you seriously at all. You are really cute like this. Can I just keep you as a minipet from now on?” Playfully, the gukumatz snapped her beak in front of Senga’s face. “Very well, young grasshopper. First, you must call me Super Awesome Strong Master Jay, and then we will begin your training.”
She nuzzled her face into the crook of Senga’s fluffy neck one more time before she let out another startled shriek when he flipped her over. “Hey!” Jay protested, her paws reaching up to bat at his face. If she could, Jay would have been pouting right about now. She rolled onto her side as Shaheen cried out a familiar name. Jay let out a pleased caw. “Glad to know I’m not the only one around here who can fly.” A look to both Senga and Shaheen. She walked over to Shik and stood up on her back legs to let her front legs rest on his bony back. “How’ve you been, eh?”
