Luckily, Riley got the joke. And her laughter bubbled up into his mind in echo of his own, while externally her eyes slit up in mirth. I'm very glad to hear it. And I suppose I'll have to work harder at the undead, upon my return. She pulled away from the hug, and fidgeted with his hair. Until then, at least I have you and Malodore. I couldn't ask for more.

Christof shifted, trying his best to keep his thoughts to himself as he sighed against the hug. You have many others, he managed, but selfishly he revelled in the phrase that had dripped into his mind. I have you and Malodore, I couldn't ask for more. You have touched countless lives in our small school, whether you remember it or not. We miss you dearly, Mistress.

Christof, I promise. She chuckled out, patting his cheek and beaming down at him. If I need anything, you will the first I call. But right now, I just need you to be comfortable. And perhaps, if you're headed back to Amity, and you have the time, you could make sure my belongings are safe..? I don't want to come home to an empty dorm. I will be most displeased if Amityville is prone to looting.

Christof flushed, fidgeting a moment in embarrassment. She didn't need to know about his tantrum.
And he had mostly put things back.
I will guard them with my life, Mistress. And if anything has been taken, I will make sure it is returned. There was an edge to the thought, and a clenching of fists to accompany it.
