When he gave her the knowing 'look', she replied with her own look of total defiance. She tilted her head up and to the side, chin raised, looking out of the corner of her eye at him with her eyebrows lowered, lips tight. The look clearly said 'BRING IT ON BUDDY'. She had no issues with warring back and she would bring out the full artillery.

Lowering her head she eyed the hair, pondered something, and couldnt help herself. Braving to get just a little bit closer.. she scooted around so she was semi behind him. Reaching out, she gently took some of the hair and allowed it to flow right back out of it. Amazed with the texture she continued to run her fingers through it, and in general play with it. She couldn't help it, it was just too damn pretty. She hoped he did not mind. "Bowl cuts, the baannneee of existence!" She teased, smirking to herself. "Though i gotta agree, they are pretty hideous. I dont blame you. How the hell did you battle the split ends if you never cut it? Did you trim it yourself perhaps?" She had so many issues with split ends if she didnt trim her hair. Hers was in no way as long as his, but it did reach a little past her mid back when it was let down. She rarely put it down because it was too hot, so it was usually up in a messy ponytail or clip. Easier to handle that way.

"Well i could imagine so, i'm sure you attracted all the ladies with this." He did have more hair than a lot of women had even. Still why did it feel odd saying that? "Plus its a pretty color." She continued to play with the hair though, fingers reaching all the way to the end and then going back to the top where the hair piece started. She repeated that a few times before she picked it up and well.. tried to braid it while he talked.

In NO was would it be as good as he could do.

"It will be less maintenance that way, wouldn't use a whole bottle of shampoo each shower either." Ceres teased. still working. The huntress paused where she was at and peeked around to study his face for a moment. Her aquamarine tinted eyes stared at his face critically, pondering. His face was really...chiseled, high cheek bones. Definitely a manly face. "I think really short hair would suit you, actually. As you said too, if you don't like it well, hair never stops growing!" Unless you went bald, but that's a different story he might have to deal with later in life.

She went back to braiding.

As he took control of the hair, she watched with awe. Not only at how fast he was, but how much younger he looked with the hair being down. He reminded her of a few anime characters with hair like that, and a whole six inches had been singed off on top of that?

She did not mention the anime character thing though, she did not want to take a chance at insulting him.

"HM so thats how you always attracted the ladies huh?" She said while watching. By the time he had finished braiding the hair back to its usual pristine form, she had already scooted back from behind him and was sitting next to him once again. "Speed from years and years of practice, i bet your even better at braiding others hair if you are this good to your own." She couldn't braid her own hair to save her life.

"Could have fooled me, you're better at hair than i am." She shrugged.

Something about the way he was acting caught her attention though. She fully admits that she was baiting for a reply from him, this time at least. Though instead of getting the usual smart a**, or flirty reply, she was met with silence. A silence that stretched out for a little while, too long if you asked her. Staring down at the ground she could not help but feel some paranoia rear its ugly head. Had she struck a personal cord? Say something wrong?

Yup Bix was right, she totally was wondering why he was sad... and his reply about going home did not help the matter. She clearly did something wrong, and felt herself personally deflate a little. The pills reasoning was clearly an excuse to go home, he would probably leave the moment they got back.

But what had she done wrong?

"Yeah, sure... lets go then." Pulling the pendant out of her pocket she gave a small smile, sure she can pretend nothing was wrong. She offered her hand to him to prepare for the return trip home. Good thing no one was in the playground at the moment, and it was settled in the middle of a small forest. Unless someone was staring at them no one should see.

"No no! Its okay, we can go, really." She didn't want him to get the idea that they had to stay here any longer than possible, if he wanted to leave there must be a reason! She squeezed his hand a little when he grasped hers, and used the pendant to teleport them back to the lighthouse.

Once back there, she didn't drop his hand immediately. "Are you sure?" Wasn't he trying to get rid of her? Yet she couldn't seem to want to pry her hand away, damn if she hated the idea of upsetting a friend! "We can do that if you'd like, we should stop somewhere and get you a drink really quick for those pills." He did strain himself some today walking back and forth.

She felt a little bad about that.

She tugged a little, they could at least start walking while they talked. She dropped his hand a moment later.

"Pft, like i'd really mind you staying with me? Though i do want to check to make sure your bandage isn't slipping if thats alright, you have done quite a bit of walking..." Back to business, but really. She did not mind him reading at her place, if it helped him feel better. Maybe what she did to upset him wasn't that bad after all?

"Though my collection is sort of small, i can dum up a book or two for you to read." She would avoid the medical books, those would make him fall asleep in two seconds.

Leading him towards her dorm she made a pit stop and grabbed a cup of water for him, offering it out when she returned.

SHe couldn't help but quirk an eyebrow at his flopping on the bed, but she soon shrugged it off. She HAD made him walk more than a doctor probably would have recommended, besides the bed was the only comfortable spot in any of these dorms.

And he was injured.

Still she went over to the book shelf, and picked out a few really light reads. Mainly? FMA volume one, and D gray man volume 1. If he finished those she had a few more in each of those sets.

"Let me see that wound." She started at him, placing the books on the bed next to him. She wanted to make sure everything was still ok with it.

Thankfully after a quick peak it showed that his wound was fine, no redness. "Your clear." She said before putting the tape back down. She opened her mouth to start to say something else at him, but closed it a moment later.

The corner of her mouth quirked into a smile. "Here." She said a moment before gently removing the book from his grasp, placing it on the nearby bed side table. It was a good thing she did not make her bed this morning, otherwise he would have been laying on the comforter. As it was it was a simple tug to pull the blanket over him. Even she could clearly see he needed rest.

"Get some sleep."
