Danny screeched as the ride took them up ... and down ... and up and down and up and down. Coming to an amusement park? EXCELLENT idea. Who had thought that one up? Oh right, it was her.
"Yay teacups!" she said excitedly, even taking a few steps toward the ride. Then she remember that Gene and her had a SECRET plan, and giggle to herself.
She hooked Gene's arm and just ran. "WE'RE GONNA GO SOMEWHERE SEE YOU GUYS LATER BYE." Roch's subtle handgrab had nothing on Danny's subtle ditch.

Gene was about to say something about how carousels were nice and easy, something their stomachs would need and blah-blah hogwash bullcrap. She was cut short, however, thanks to the sudden jerk and temporary loss of gravity, followed by her stomach going into her throat.
This was fun.
Okay now less fun.
Please stop.
Once off, Danny shouted and they ran off, not being sneaky at all.
"Danny! Be quiet about it next time, okay? Now they know we're up to something." Her tone was almost too much like a mother reprimanding her child, expression a little too flustered. What had this ghoul's goat?
She sat on a bench and sighed, patting the space on the bench next to her, indicating that Danny should sit there. "So, how long have they been together?"

Roch blinked, a bit confused over what had just happened. "We... just got ditched," he said blankly. "Oh well, c'mon, let's go ride the teacups!" He had a good idea--or a strange idea--of what was going on, and a tiny frown pulled at his lips as he realized that the two might actually be... matchmaking.
Danny, though? Would she even THINK that far? Probably not.

Amphi blinked as Danny took off at the speed of light, not quick enough to chase after the two escaped ghouls and then looked up at Roch with a:
Q A Q
"Does Danny not like me anymore? Or does Gene not!??" She wanted to ride the teacups with them too. She almost rejected the idea but...then she would be telling Roch no and she couldn't do that either.
And she was alone with him again and just....
"SO um...how do we ride...this ride..." she asked, playing with the center thing ...trying not to be so aware that her and Roch were together sitting in a silly cup ride and she was really happy.

"Amphi," Roch said, looking at her with amused patience, "what in Halloween would make y'think that Danny might not like you now? She was carryin' you around like a scareling just a few minutes ago. Nah, what they're doin is matchmaking, I think," he said. "Possibly. Ain't sure, though, but it looked pretty obvious they wanted t'give us some alone time."
Then he gave her a huge boyish grin. "But that don't matter, cuz THIS ride is awesome even if it's silly lookin'. Here, first we grab the wheel here, and turn it like this," he said, showing her. The cup they were in spun around. "And the more y'spin it, the faster WE spin!"

"Together?" Danny said, kicking her legs above the ground on the bench. "Hmmm, well we've been at the park for like an hour ... and it probably took them like ten minutes to get over here ..."
Danny touched the tip of her fingers and squinted with her tongue out as she tried to count up the minutes. Wasn't easy. "So I'd say like ... 62 minutes maybe?"
A food cart went by and Danny waved it down. "Ooooh Gene I want snotcorn!"

Right Gene, use simple phrases. Spell it out to the ghoul. She inwardly sighed, giving Danny a cheery smile. "No, sweetie, I'm wondering how long they've been boilfriend and ghoulfriend." They seemed like such an unlikely couple, but completely sweet and cute. Gene approved; even if she was still iffy around Roch. He wasn't too bad, though...
Ohl, right, snotcorn. "Mmmm...that sounds pretty good, actually. We'll take two, please!" She was totally going to let Danny pay for it this time. Why? Well, she had daddy's credit card, and Gene was saving up for a coffee table.
"Speaking of boilfriends and ghoulfriends, how are you and Rikki doing?"

Danny gasped. "They're dating?! What!!" she exclaimed, possibly too loudly. "Since when??" A sad expression crossed her face then. "They didn't even tell me ..." Now she just felt out of the loop. Why would Roch do that without telling her?
The snotcorn fell into Danny's hand and she passed the vender a bag of seeds, not really caring if it was the exact amount or not. She munched sadly on it, her mind mulling over the betrayal she felt.
A sly smile crossed her face when Gene mentioned Rikki though. "Oh um. We're uh. Fine," she said, oddly shy for the flame demonness. "He's been really busy lately though ... I kinda miss him I guess?" She threw more snotcorn in her mouth. Eat away ALL the sad feelings.

"Oh! They must not be then. They would tell you, of course they would. How silly of me, I'm so sorry." Nonononononono. Do not let sad Danny continue. Sad Danny made Gene sad, and Gene did not want to be sad at an amusement park, a place of joy.
But Roch and Amphi totally liked each other; that much was painfully obvious. Then again, Danny was kind of...oblivious.
"Well, missing him just means you love him; so that's good." Gene fiddled with her hair, eating some snotcorn. Maybe she could make a coffee roast that contained the stuff... hm.
"Hey, Danny, do you know anyone who bakes?" Speaking of her roasting coffee and all...
