Even with the addition of extra pressure added to the scrolls, the knot did only barely budge at all. This was turning out to be very well going in his situation. So for right now he though he'd look around to see how everyone else was doing. The two in front of him seemed to be doing fairly well, but unfortunately Takuya was not having as much luck with the rope as they were. The other students in the room, he wasn't to sure about as he couldn't really see how they were doing. Ether way, Kuro needed to make sure that he was getting these knots as perfect as he could. Pulling out the middle scroll, he made the tight bundle loose enough to undo the knot and work on re-tying it yet again (even though it was tighter then before since he'd applied pressure that time). Continuing with the chant that he'd made up in his mind for this type of knot, Kuro put the rope behind the scrolls, wrapped it around the front of the scrolls and then behind it once more. At this point all he needed to do was slide the end underneath the crossing and then pull the two ends tight. Hanging the contents of the rope package over his lap once again, he pushed on the scrolls to test it's strength again. Hopefully it would hold the pressure again. It looks like it was good and secure; she remained quiet and focuses on the rest of her tying escapades. If she did well she’d get to tell her parents how well school had gone for the first day. It was a bit of work but she figured she’d be able to get it done in time. This next knot was a bit trickier than the first she had done so she really needed to focus on how the looping and pulling was done. It seemed there were about six loops in total on this one so it would be a pretty heavy knot to create. Probably good for trapping animal and the like since the knot could slide tightly along the singular large loop it created when it was completely formed. She began tucking the rope through itself, carefully making sure it was shaped properly. Since she had little experience with such things it was only natural to try and get the shape of the rope right rather than trying to understand the mechanics behind such things. Soon she was coming to the finishing step which required focus and effort to get the final loop through the rest of them; this would make the trapping hoop when the whole thing was tightened down. Giving it a tug she hoped the knot would hold snug… Quote: PC Formula: 50 + 25 + [(5 + 15) - 10]/10 = 76% result- Successattempts- 2/5 Success = 2 Fails = 0

Quote: Attempting Knot: PC Formula: 50 + 25 (Step 1) + 5 (Assisted by Loric) + [(5 + 15) - 10]/10 :: 81% :: SuccessAfter she had congratulated Loric, Miyuki immediately began to concentrate on what would be her final attempt before the end of the classroom day appeared to force her into remedial classes. She tugged both sides of the rope hoping to loosen the rope fibers once again. That was the knot that she found the easiest to assemble during the entirety of her attempts. Once satisfied with the flexibility of the rope, Miyuki opened up her textbook to the appropriate page which coincided with the particular knot that she was trying to assemble. She studied the entirety of the knot from the directions to the pictorial reference. The young girl began to feel confident in her ability to properly finish the knot. Although, she kept the book open whilst sitting in the middle of her desk just in case she needed to take a look while preparing the knot. Miyuki’s fingers moved quickly as she twisted the rope in several different directions and around separate pieces of the rope. This seemed much easier than the first two times she had attempted this same knot. Perhaps, those were just warming her up for the real deal. If she had been confident before, Miyuki had no doubts whatsoever about whether or not she could accomplish this. Once finished, Miyuki examined the knot closely for any faults. “YES! Finally,” The girl jumped into the air simultaneously raising her hands up into the air. ‘I do not have to stay after class,’ the young girl sighed relief while placing her finished product on the table and forcefully closing the book. Loric had been been so exited about his success that he hadn't even noticed the offer made by Miyuki right away. It wasn't until several moments later did his face become flushed with red, the only words that he could muster was, "Yeah...sure.." He didn't know if he sounded genuine, or if he sounded uninterested. In his mind he was already thrashing himself. All this time he had managed to avoid being found out as a socially awkward penguin, but now it seemed that all at once he had just exposed just how little experience he had dealing with other people of his age. Right now, she was the only student here that he had even managed to have a conversation with and he hated the idea that she might think that he was ignoring her. "Damit, I promised grandma that I would make friends today" he thought to himself desperately, "I guess if it doesn't work out I can still tell her things went well." Leaning over, Loric made one last attempt to save himself from being labeled as socially inept, "You almost got it that time. No way you have to stay back." After watching Miyuki complete the knot the final time successfully Loric joined in her rejoice. "Oh nice! Good job" he said while holding out his hand to give her a high five.

Shiro almost couldn't help herself from growling back at the apparent sensei, the guy was a jerk. Why ask a question if he didn't want to hear the answer Bou too let out a little irate yap. She sheepishly scooted past him to enter and turned to look back at her 'late-for-class-mate'. She gave a little thumbs up before looking around the class room. Books, ropes, knots. She smirked as if she would need to ask someone what they were doing here. She had asked her parents what to expect at the academy, and had been practicing tying knots. Admittedly she didn't have a book so she was just more or less making a mess out of ropes but still. She walked over and found herself a book and some rope. She turned around and looked at the class her ears twitching some as she took in the different characters, she had heard several of their voices and names but she didn't know who they belonged too really. She tipped her head to the side before taking note of a nice empty desk at the back of the class. 'perfect' she thinks to herself before trotting over and taking a seat. She hadn't had a book on knots before, so that's obviously where she was going to start. She looked at the cover 'knot tying' she smirked simple but sweet and to the point she supposed. She opened the book to the glossary, the first chapter 'what is a knot- a brief history on knots.' she groaned and scanned through the chapters. 'how to tie a simple knot.' Shiro grinned, THAT was where to begin her reading. Her tongue stuck out lightly as she flipped to that chapter and began reading. Right away she already knew where she had gone wrong with her attempts at home, she held the rope lightly in her hand and played with it some getting the feel for what the rope was made of as she read. She glanced to Bou who let out a long doggie-yawn before curling up into a ball under her desk to take a nap, lazy doggie. She shook her head lightly and returned her focus to the book, which was slowly becoming more and more boring. She too let out a light yawn at this point and decided it was time to move away from the simple not chapter and onto the more intermediate. She scrunched up her brow some, these knots were more complicated than she had expected from a single step up in difficulty. However after spending some more time reading she felt like she had a good understanding as to what was expected of her. Another success! At this rate she’d have a good grade right off the bat, hopefully her luck held out on getting these knots right. She looked to the next type and it was tricky it looked almost like braided bread when it was finished. She wasn’t sure if she’d get this one after all she had short hair and that certainly wasn’t braid-able. Her face scrunched up in concentration as she poked her tongue out to the side clearly indicating the effort she was putting into this complex knot. As nimbly as possible she began weaving the rope within itself her finger getting stuck every so often as she proceeded to create this knot that seemed like it was primarily for strengthening the rope itself, she guessed that this knot would be combined with another to create a more secure binding though she wasn’t certain as this was all new to her after all. She was nearly finished and reached the final task a knot at the end which would finalize this particular knot. After a few moments of fiddling she placed the knot down and gave her standard inspection of her handy work, poking and prodding it for and loose spots… Quote: PC Formula: 50 + 25 + [(5 + 15) - 10]/10 = 76% result- Successattempts- 3/5 Success = 3 Fails = 0 Stat goal 1- agility Stat goal 2- strength

‘Thank goodness that one worked I’d have felt bad if I couldn’t do that one… what girl wouldn’t know how to pick up braiding?’ she thought to herself tapping at her chin gently in thought. Onto the next task! She set the knot aside like she had done so many times prior and looked over the next knot that was to be attempted. Oddly enough the end result looked like a ladder comprised of many smaller knots. This would be a challenge she’d have to make sure to leave enough rope in order to proceed to the next knot all the while attempting to avoid any dead ends that would make her have to start over. ‘here’ goes’ she began moving her hands about tying the first knot in order to begin the chain of events that would hopefully end in the form of a ladder. Fumbling a bit she went backwards on her progress as much as she went forward. This was thanks to her nature of making the knot look exactly the same as the books example as possible. Finally after a large amount of struggling she completed the ladder shape and she began a systematic tug check of each component of the knot… Quote: PC Formula: 50 + 25 + [(5 + 15) - 10]/10 = 76% result- Successattempts- 4/5 Success = 4 Fails = 0 Stat goal 1- agility Stat goal 2- strength

Shiro found a knot she liked the look of and propped the book up on her desk before taking a look around the room to see how the others were doing, alot of them were already tying knots just how late was she? Or were they really fast? She furrowed her brow some and looked back to her rope letting out a light growl she stared at the step by step in the book glancing to the rope now and again, which was a bit heavy and unwieldy compared to what she had already been practicing with at home. However with the book to guide her it didn't seem like it would be too hard to do. She held onto the rope tight enough so she was sure she wouldn't drop it, and began to follow what she was reading in the book. She stuck out her tongue and twisted the rope around itself a few times before pulling the ends of the rope through a pair of open hoops the twist created. She stopped there for a moment and looked back to the book. Sure enough she was still doing it right. She pulled the rope back through the twist and pulled once more. The rope pulled tight, and she had a perfect cats paw knot. Shiro grinned brightly as she took a moment to look at the proper knot she had managed to create. However, as she looked around, it was obvious she was expected to tie more than one. So she set in on the task of untying the knot. "To understand a knot you needed to be able to untie it just as well as tie it." She murmured a line from the chapter on basic knots. In no time she had it undone now she needed to try another knot. She flipped the page a couple times and found one, this one looked like it would take some gentle precision, the page called it a sheepshank knot. She tipped her head, what was with all these animal named knots? She furrowed her brow some as she propped up the book and scanned over its pages multiple times. She nodded and held up the rope scanning over its surface for a bit before she laid it out on the table in a loose S-shape. She deftly twisted the ends around in a couple of light loops and slid them over the ends of the s-shape of the rope. She gave it the last couple twists the book called for and then pulled. It held tight, an exemplary sheepshank Shiro giggled with delight, this book was really handy. They all seemed to hold pretty sturdy, this was good that meant she might not have to stay after class at this rate. ‘the final knot…’ she gulped a bit bit, she was nervous about this one, it looked like a ball of rope more than it did a knot, it was going to be challenging because there was no real defined shape to this beast. “Time to take the plunge then” with that she went into the strenuous process of making a straight line into a spherical ball. Tucking and wrapping in a mechanical fashion she continued on. The rough rope was taking its’ toll on her hands as they felt tender and raw, thankfully there was no blood but her fingers sure were sore by this point. She was only about halfway there she gather as the length extending was a bit long and the ball shape rolled off to the side of the rope instead of stick off the end like it showed in the picture. What exactly was this kind of knot used for? She wasn’t sure but maybe it was just an exercise to improve the manipulation of the rope. Finally the rope was of the right length with a mass of bundled rope at the end. She began inspecting it over as per here usual means, with a few pokes and tugs it became evidently clear how it turned out. Mission accomplished! she gave out a sigh of relief and set the knot aside with the rest. She looked over her hands which were tinged red from the rope that had done it's best to test her constitution and will, thankfully this task was over and she would be able to give good news to her parents tonight. “Oh nice! Good job,” Loric exclaimed. Miyuki outstretched her hand returning Loric’s high five. “Shall we go address the teacher?” The young girl questioned while taking her stand. “Oww,” Miyuki rubbed her thighs which began to cramp heavily from excessive amounts of sitting. She picked up the knots from her desk collecting them in her arms. “I need to get out of here,” She started walking towards their sensei hoping for his approval. "I finished, Yoshi-Sensei!" Miyuki exclaimed holding out her knots for him to inspect.

Shiro's tail wagged some tapping the sides of her chair, creating a light thumping sound, as she took mental note. She had just created two successful knots! She paused for a minute to scoop up Bou and hug him before putting him down on her desk, today was her lucky day. So, why not push her luck right? She grinned deviously as she flipped to a nasty looking knot. With the weight of this rope doing this knot would likely take a fair bit of strength. She paused to pop her knuckles and then untie her second knot. She put the now untied rope down in front of her and stared at it for awhile then up at the knot book for instructions. A manger knot... She bit her lip lightly and then took the rope in her hands, the finished product looked like a mess of rope, but the steps to get there made it fairly clear. However the book was obviously using a less weighty rope, well either that or the expected strong adults to be tying these knots, and not young teens. She shrugged and began to go through the steps of making the knot. A twist there a loop here, sending the rope back and forth through said loops, and as always it would seem, the final hard tug. The knot held tight she pulled even harder just to be sure and she grinned from ear to foxy ear. Shiro could barely contain her excitement as she tipped from side to side some, what a day, three knots in a row and she hadn't gotten herself tangled in the rope and need to be cut free, as was per usual at home. She smiled as she pulled at the right places on the current knot and it came apart easily, as any good knot should do. She turned the page and stopped at the very next knot. A bowline knot, why not? She paused to stretch and yawn lightly before picking up the rope again. Even though she was quite enthused about succeeding so many times in a row she was starting to feel a little bit bored, likely that was the reason she did so poorly in her other classes. She grinned and stuck out her tongue, 'well not this time, get it, KNOT this time!' she thought the joke to herself, and took mental note of it, once she was done here she was totally going to use that one. She giggled and pulled the rope tight between her hands before starting in on the steps for the knot she had turned to. This one was a little confusing she thought the manger one was supposed to be difficult but this one was more so, so she would have to follow the book more carefully and directly. She twisted pulled and tugged on the rope bringing it to its complete form. She grinned as the testing tug pulled it perfect. "No. It's not cool." The teacher said sharply, his eyes burning a hole in the boy before letting a firm hand hold the back of the boy's neck and led him into the classroom.
Letting his eyes fall upon the entire class with a watchful gaze he released the boy with a forceful shove, "Class will be ending in a few minutes. When you are done with your knot tying please bring it up to my desk for my inspection." He said simply before returning to his desk to sit and wait.

Hizen was running down the halls towards his assigned classroom. "Damn. Of all the days to accidentally freeze myself in the shower, it had to be the first day of lessons. I hope the teacher is understanding. Let's see... Classroom 5A is my goal." Hizen began to mumble the classroom designators to himself as he ran on, nearly running several other academy sutdents over in his haste. "3A...3B... 4A... 4B... Here it is. 5A. Uh oh... He looks angry." Hizen sheepishly slid into place in front of the man who must be his instructor for this class... Speaking up to answer the question, Hizen avoided eye contact with the Chuunin. "Umm... Well... You see... My mother is from the Mizu clan... I inherited their ice manipulation powers, but I haven't quite got them under control yet. So... um... I accidentally froze myself in the shower this morning and had to spend a a fair amount of time breaking myself out..."
