[Lilah and Rhodonth]
The green dragon, like her rider, had thought that the machine would malfunction - but that didn't happen. Instead, there was a sudden swarm of packing flits, but why? What was it? Had the machine done something that wasn't obvious? No, no, there was something wrong at home, but...
Mine! Rhodonth practically screeched. Mine, something is very wrong, something at home, whatiswrongwhatdowedo?
"Whoa, whoa, easy Rho," Lilah was quick to stroke her dragon and attempt to calm her. "I don't know what's wrong, but we'll find out. Let's find our wing, and see what S'vek says." Whatever this was, this was very, very bad.
Dusk Treaders! Rhodonth sent, broadcasting to anyone they flew with in hopes they would offer guidance. What is happening, what are we doing?

[Fick]
(Tag Careesi & Alianar)
"Hu?" Fick blinked, his fuzzy brain having trouble processing what was being communicated to his wher by a panicked firelizard. "Something... something's not right at home," he muttered. "And... wait," he blinked, "something's wrong with Benden too? What the shaff's going on here? Right in the middle of the demonstration too!" The demonstration had looked amazing, he had just been starting to make plans for a future without Thread in it and... and now what?

[Riarna]
Archimonde commanded the crowd, managing to irritate just about everyone out there and seeming delighted. Riarna wondered briefly if he would make it safely back to his quarters tonight now that Keller seemed to have left the stage all to him. Where had he gone off to now that his pet Ancientcrafter's technology was about to be put to the test?
However, it appeared Keller had known he wouldn't have to worry. The nets worked. Glowing and searing mock-Thread from the sky, it seemed that Archimonde, despite being unreliable in appearance, had managed a miracle. A way to keep Thread from falling. A way to, as he had said almost explicitly, get rid of the dragonriders. And his disgust with them was very clear now that he seemed not to need their support any longer.
It was only after the marvel had lifted into the air that the crowd was disrupted by a more familiar menace: shrieking firelizards.
Riarna ducked as one swept overhead, but knew after her initial irritation that they didn't make noise like this unless something was really wrong. Especially not as many as there were suddenly present in the area. With no firelizard and no dragon, Riarna was left completely in the dark as to what they wanted, but like everyone there she got the impression that it had something to do with a monumental event-- and, somehow, her home was vulnerable to it.
"What?" she looked up, eyes trying to follow the sweeping movements of the firelizards as Jordan stood on beside her, his affected flamboyancy gone.

[F'itz]
(Tag Ceta)
F'itz was not impressed by the speech. Not. At. All. He was not an easy man to anger but hearing his people and way of life spoken about like that made his blood boil. Standing next to Cetalese the brown rider tensed and his grey eyes hardened. So this was how it was going to be. This was the end of his world, being mocked before a crowd.
Just as gloom started to descend upon him however Cinder, who had been skimming happily over the crowd, dropped out of the air and clung onto him creeling. "What?" F'itz frowned, casting around as more and more firelizards started to appear. "What's-"
When Cetalease spoke he froze as a sick feeling crept over him, coming from a host of firelizards clamouring at Brumath. "Something's wrong at Benden too," he murmured, "I don't know what but...." Trailing off he looked down at the green rider, his face paleing. "We left all our Weyrs undefended!"

Alright, what as going on? Flits were everywhere, people were freaking out, and Dinah had no idea why. She did not like not knowing. Shoving through the crowd, she tried to fight against it to get back to her tent, get back to Dinahsk. Whatever was going on, she needed her wher!

[Ralla and Firith]
After she and Firith had arrived, and subsequently made their way through the grouping of dragons - to the extent that they could, anyway - they had sat and waited impatiently for the 'show' to begin. Soon after it had, though, distressed flits began pouring in.
Something was happening. Something was wrong. What was wrong?
Home, Mine.
Then why are we still here? Let's go!
One moment more. One look before we jump.

Z'fer
During the Ancientcrafter's speech Z'fer stood with arms crossed, a deep glower firmly fixed on his tanned brow. Occasionally he would make a loud and obvious noise of disgust, hoping to irritate the idiotic man who insisted upon spewing this nonsense and confusing innocent minds with his lunacy. As the lights encompassed the stage he felt a thrill of dread. The thought of being trapped under those lights, unable to fly freely was nauseating. Calanoth echoed his thoughts, the large bronze rumbling deeply in his throat.
Suddenly Klah was in his face, being more active than the Bronzerider had ever seen the little flit so far away from a food bowl. "W-What?!" He swatted at the pest, growing even more vexed as Fellis joined in the clamor, tugging at Z'fer's braid and pelting him with the bloody images, her eyes white with terror.
"Shards and Shells!" He swore vehemently, his gaze swinging back to Archimond where he stood protected now by that vicious net. "You sick b*****d what have you done?!"

[Adi and Mazamath]
Mazamath was a calm, unhurried dragon, but when the flits began to arrive in a panic, and the sense that something was so very wrong came over everything, the closest thing that he had ever felt to fear came over him. Something was terribly wrong at home, they needed to get back, he needed His - nothing would ever be able to rouse him to action like danger to His or the others precious to him.
Mine! Mine, you must come to me! Now!

Sasar
Sasar looked on the display approvingly. The ancientcrafter really had outdone himself. The machines were fantastic and worked exactly as he'd predicted. They could burn thread with ease and no one would need to worry about burrows or having their property destroyed.
When chaos erupted Sasar barely flinched. He hadn't know WHAT was going to happen, only that something would and it would benefit the Handlers. Obviously Keller's plan had just been put into motion. Sasar held still, like a boulder in a river, as panicked people ran in silly circles around him. Sasask gave another sleepy grumble in his mind but again was soothed by the calm presence of his Handler, the Bronze sensed no threat to his and so would stay where he was.

Dizzian (tag Syn & Hekate)
The display was horrifying, as were the Ancientcrafter's words. It was obvious there was something terribly wrong with the old man and Dizzian's unease grew the longer he was onstage. Never had she seen anything comparable to this and truly it frightened her to her core. She had thought that maybe the invention could be a good thing, having discussed with with Courath and heard her views on it. Seeing it now, the burning red net casting an ugly glow on everything around it just made her uncomfortable. She didn't get a chance to vocalize her worries before Tweaker and Spazz were in her face screeching far worse than she'd ever heard them before. Her mind was battered with the bloody images, too confusing to make out. The familiar sight of the Hatching Grounds was her only clue as to where this disaster was taking place.
Dizzian put her arms up in defense, not knowing how to react, her mind was frozen in panic by the images in her mind and the screaming around her.
Despite her small size, Courath gave a mighty roar of rage, her eyes whirling red and yellow. Picking up on the images transferred between dragons she quickly caught on to the bloodshed in her own Weyr. ~ NO. MINE our home is in trouble!~ No white shone in her fiery eyes as she shoved against Dizzian, herding her back towards the adult riders of Trine. ~ Devith! Gementh! We must find dragons to carry us back! Trine needs us! ~

Crysicai
Cai had been supportive of the ancientcrafter's invention, considering the possible benefits and keeping an open mind to anything that might bring change for the better. As he spoke though his words made her a little uneasy, the man was unhinged though. Once his creation was out for use she would see if there was a way to paint it in a better light. If there was she would find it.
The lights fascinated her. How could a light burn something so completely? He'd mentioned that it sliced through flesh with no bleeding. Immediately she saw a practical use for that in the Healercraft. Her writing stick flew across the notebook in her hand, jotting down all the thoughts in her head as they sprung up. She wished he'd open for questions. She had plenty burning in her mind that demanded answers now.
She nodded in approval fully feeling that this ultimately was a good thing. Dragons could find other ways to be useful that weren't as detrimental to their health and that of their Riders. They needn't pass out of existence entirely.
Even though she had no flit bonded to her the images were so strong they assaulted her. Her nose filled with the familiar scent of blood as hundred of confusing jumbled scenes played out behind her eyes. Where? Where was the blood? Why were people injured and screaming? Where was she needed?!

[S'ren & Tereth of Trine Weyr]
S'ren had been wary of the demonstration from the start-- namely from the implications that such a device would have if it actually worked-- but when firelizards started appearing everywhere in a panic, he new that something had gone terribly terribly wrong. Ruby and her daughter both appeared at the same time and landed on either shoulder, chittering fearfully and pinging him with their own feelings of panic and wrong. "Can either of you make sense of your flits?" the brownrider asked, looking to both Lena and Roeline beside him. "Mine aren't being very clear." Tereth, could you try getting them to calm down long enough to show us what's wrong?
Already on it, the brown rumbled, trying his best to convince the panicked miniatures to listen to him. He didn't like this one bit.

The demonstration had begun before he had heard a response from Narissa and with Plexith occupied attempting to impress her gold he was free to turn his attention to the spectacle before him. He had to admit the machine was well..impressive. It burned up what the flit dropped sure enough..maybe there was some merit to this ancient crafters claims after all...
And the nthe flits had appeared and everything broke into confusion. D'lin's green was shrieking right along with the rest but not even Plexith could get her to calm down enough to figure out why. One thing was sure..something was wrong terribly wrong and ignoring the flit and her dive bombing shrieks he tried to make a pathway through the crowd towards the place where Plexith was waiting alongside the other Trine bronzes and golds hoping that the other Trine riders would follow him.

Mercy & Aerith
Mercy didn't have much time to really digest the demonstration that the ancientcrafter put on because almost as soon as it ended the air erupted as flits came shrieking and spilling out of between, their eyes whirling red and orange and white her own silver and gold amoung them. Sunny and Stormy whirled around her, dropping to pull and tug at her clothes as they pulled her towards Aerith who was bellowing in the crush of other larger dragons trying to get to their riders.
"Sunny! Stormy! Stop!" She ordered the flits, calming them only by following their shrieked demands and heading towards Aerith who stubbornly resisted moving away even as those larger then her tried to push past in the chaos. Kleos had rushed off toward Moriath and starting to make sense of the visions her flits were sending her Mercy knew why. "Be careful!" She shouted after her friend though she wasn't sure if hte crimson rider had heard her or not.
"Aerith!" She yelled as the white was shoved aside by one of her larger brethren from another Weyr. 'Just let them past!' She begged her dragon before she was trampled in the chaos. 'I'm not moving without you!' The white demanded, rumbling at anyone who came to close even if she couldn't act on it. 'I'm coming..I'm coming' Mercy assured her dragon.

[Lena, Weyrfolk of Trine]
While Lena had been happy enough to tag along on Tereth and help Roeline mind all the extra things S'ren had insisted she bring for young Wofth 'just in case', it hadn't even taken the screaming fire lizards before she got the sense of something wrong. Maybe it was just the Anciencrafter's venom in his diatribe against the Weyr's purpose? After all, she might not be a rider, but she too relied on the Weyr's support system. Even if these 'Dragonlights' could do more than disperse filaments of fiber over small areas (a bit doubtful, if one looked at the demonstration happening and imagined it needing to be big enough to cover a Hold's fields), then surely dragons could find another purpose - their world wouldn't just abandon them...
The chittering panic of her new silver companion landing on her shoulder boded even less well than worries about the future, though. She took him in her arms to attempt to soothe him, but she hoped Tereth was having better luck. "All I can get is that something's wrong...that here isn't where we should be," Lena said, concerned, glancing between S'ren and Roeline. Whatever panic was causing the flits to act so...would it affect the crowd here? Roeline was small, and her dragon was even smaller...
