  ╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗Alexander released the Naiad when he saw Danny was entirely out of the water and out of the reach of grasping hands. He watched them go before heading to the surface as well, once more sweeping his hair out of his eyes. His braid had come loose and his hair was now stuck all over his face. Still, he headed for the sandy shore. If nothing else, he had to make sure Danny was okay, at least that they hadn't broken her ankle.╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

Danny lay still on the sand, the only part of her body moving was her chest. Slowly it rose and fell, showing that she was alright, if not in a little pain and shock. She looked down at her ankle and tried to move her leg, but some pain forced itself to pound at her ankle, and she stopped and winced. "Danny, please answer me," Amanda said, watching Danny, but looking up in fear when something came out of the water. She relaxed when it was only a man, but the fear was replaced with confusion. Danny remained quiet, but her eyes darted up to look at the man, who she instantly remembered... a little. Was it really him? "... Alexander?..." Danny asked, trying to speak up, recognizing his long brown hair and light eyes. Even though she had only seen him through dark pond water, she took a chance at asking if it was him or not. His tall built figure came up to her as she panted for a little while longer, the shock still in place.

╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗Alexander nodded as he splashed towards her, slowing as he actually reached her so as to not splash her. "Yes, I would have preferred to meet face to face under different circumstances, but I'm glad I was here all the same." He said, kneeling next to her. He placed a hand on her shin lightly. "May I please inspect this ankle?" He asked her calmly. Despite the chilly water, his touch was still rather warm. "If possible, my shop is not terribly far away through the forest, and I'd like to keep this from swelling and causing any more pain or complications. With your consent, of course." As he spoke, it was obvious Alexander was extremely worried. Although, he did seem to remember her friend then and looked at her. "You're welcome as well, naturally." He said, polite despite his urgency.╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

Danny was extremely surprised to see Alexander here, even though it may not have shown on her face. All she was worried about was that she was alive and safe. The shocked state of hers was passing, now that Alexander was here. Once again, the calmness of his voice was relaxing to her, no matter how odd that sounded. Danny closed her eyes and let her head fall back on the sand, nodding at Alexander's request to look at her ankle. As his hand touched her, she didn't wince, but her brows furrowed not in pain or anger, but in slight pleasure at his warm touch. At his asking, Danny looked to Amanda, "Don't worry, I'll tell my dad and your dad. They can meet us there," Amanda said, giving a yes to Danny.
Danny looked to Alexander and nodded again, confirming that she was fine with moving, as long as her ankle wasn't moved. "... Is it really you?..." she asked again, her voice breathy and light, a little quiet. Her breathing was now calm and she could move her leg without hurting her ankle, but still couldn't put pressure on it.

╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗Alexander smiled at her as he looked at her ankle, being gentle with it. "I surely would hope so. This is the only me I've ever known." He said lightly before returning his attention to her injury. He touched it gingerly before shaking his head. "I don't believe this to be broken, but the swelling has already started and I can't be 100% sure." He said, turning her leg slightly. He heard what seemed to be a note from a reed flute then and turned towards the dock to see the water swirling there. He looked to Danny then, placing her leg down on the sand gently once more. "One moment please, I'll be right back." He said, before padding over to the dock. He knelt to see the youngest Nixie in the water below,his small bundle of discarded clothes clutched to her chest. She smiled and held them up to the surface of the water so he could reach down and pull them up. He did this with a warm smile. "Thank you my friend. You should have no more troubles by tomorrow, but I suggest you stay in that pond until I can come and make sure they've left, alright?" He said quietly. The Nixie girl nodded and reached up to place her flute atop the clothes as well, before diving once more and speeding off. With that, Alexander tucked his clothes under his arm and returned to Danny, kneeling next to her once more. "Do I have your permission to lift you?" He asked. "I believe it would be much more comfortable for you instead of trying to walk through the forest."╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

Danny grinned at his comment, glad that she was calm now. Of course, it was all thanks to Alexander. His voice plus his rescuing was fantastic. Perfect timing, too. When he spoke of her ankle, Danny frowned, really hoping it wasn't anything too serious. She didn't want to get her ankle in a cast or have to walk with crutches, she knew they were annoying.
When Alexander excused himself, Danny tried to lift her head up, but decided against it. It hit the soft, warm sand as she sighed, wanting nothing more than to hear Alexander's voice again. It was miraculously soothing. His voice did return soon after, to her pleasure. She nodded at his request to lift her, glad he knew what he was doing. Or at least, seemed like he was doing. "That would be great," she told him, and pushed herself up from the sand, propping herself up with her elbows, ready to follow his lead.

╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗Alexander tied his shoelaces together and threw them and his clothes over his shoulder before sliding his arms under her and liftingd her carefully, making sure not to jar her when he stood. He looked to her friend then. "The way through the forest is off of the trail, so please do try to stay close to us if you're coming along." he said, before heading off. At the time, he wished he'd brought Rasiel with him to keep an eye out. "Tell me if you're uncomfortable, will you Danny?" He asked.╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

As Alexander threw his things over his shoulder, Danny propped herself up even more, careful not to move her leg. As Alexander lifted her, she felt extremely light, he had lifted her with no problem. She tried to brush off as much sand as she could from her front and her arms. At Alexander's comment to her friend, Amanda stopped and said, "Actually, I better stay here. I called my dad and her dad to come here to get Danny, but if Danny knows you, and trusts you, then I'll stay here to wait for them. And my car's here anyways... We'll meet you at the shop, okay Danny?" she told her, before reaching out to squeezing Danny's hand. They always did that to promise each other to be brave, it was their thing. She smiled at Danny and Alexander before turning to head to her car. Danny turned back to Alexander and nodded, understanding. "Alright... but Alexander..." she said before looking up to him, "How did you get here?"

╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗Alexander made his way carefully yet quickly through the undergrowth. He hadn't been kidding about keeping the swelling down. When he heard her question, he looked up thoughtfully. "Well, I was taking a walk." He began, trying to think of the best way to tell her without alarming or lying to her. If she asked about what had attacked them though, he was screwed. "I was almost to the trail when I met a young girl who warned me that there was danger in the lake, so I went to inspect. You know what happened after that." He said, smiling down at her. "Are you hurt anywhere else, by the way? Scratched, bitten?"
