Stirring. Needle didn't quite understand what that meant, but if it was anything like the stirring he had mentioned earlier...hm. She only nodded in vague agreement, at least to the part where she wouldn't know such animal feelings, especially since she wasn't an animal by any means. It was good to know that he liked it, it made her feel better to not have to worry about her actions so much.
His face may have been slightly blurred due to their proximity, but his dangerous teeth came into sharp focus when he presented them to her. She found herself staring at them as if looking for the first time; in some regards, it was true. She knew his mouth was dangerous, but she didn't quite grasp how dangerous until now. The idea of being so close to danger had already thrilled her, but this seemed to intensify those unusual feelings.
"Ah, I understand." She hummed thoughtfully, hearing the clear disappointment in his voice. "We are experimenting, are we not? I would not be adverse to you trying it on me." It was a quickly made decision and offer, her head tilting up as she tried to focus on him once more. Sure, his teeth were sharp; but she had nails impaled permanently into her arms on a near regular basis, not to mention having to live with them after. It would hurt if he bit through her lip by accident, but she would heal. Fast, too; she always did.
"I trust you will not hurt me." And she meant it.

"Ah.." he thrummed, still unsure, but with her reassurances Muka ended up eventually nodding with a bobble and a coo. "Alright.. I will try my best."
There was still a slight knot, a strange thing he knew that was nervousness and almost fear. When he'd been little and learning to fly he always had felt it, right before he leapt off the furniture, then trees, then the roof. Sometimes he crashed to the ground but it had also been thrilling. At the same time it wasn't his own body on the line now, it was a dear friend and a lovely ghoul who he didn't want to mar for Prom.
Yep. Still worried about prom appearances.
In an effort to ebb his worry he leaned in again to kiss her, his lips once more parted. He tried to duplicate what she'd done, shorter kisses and longer ones, but he lacked a bit of sensuality that she seemed to have. It was most definitely a direct result of his inexperience with lips in general. He knew immediately that he wasn't as good as she was but there was a purpose in this particular embrace and he needed to swallow his smattering of worry and do his friend the return kindness.
Instead of going all-teeth-all-out, Muka's lips pulled Needle's bottom one first. He plucked it between his own, a gentle suction tugging it lightly. He tested, in serious concentrated effort to do this safely.
He was so focused on not hurting the ghost that his eyes were wide open and staring at her face.
With the lip tug a success, the strix bared his teeth slowly. Ignoring the thrill that the fear brought along with it, he gently plucked her lip between them. He tried to be gentle, a tiny nibble, the barest of pressure. Muka was thrilled with his initial success! So much so that he may have nibbled a little too hard right before he released her and the ghostly flesh split, the barest wound really.
It was enough to make him gasp and pull away, shock and apology wiping over the tiny thrill he'd gotten when her lip split. Again, this was his animal side and he felt it had no place in this experiment. He was a gentlemonster!
"Oh Needle I am sorry!" His pulling away also got him jabbed by a needle. Not hard, but a bit.

"I have faith in you~" She assured him, eagerly leaning back into his offered kisses, letting him take the reign as this was his little test, not hers. As clumsy as his kisses were she found she liked them; they were endearing in their own way. Even if she didn't though, she still would have enjoyed his mere proximity to her. No matter the outcome, she would be happy that they did this.
She had closed her eyes, following feel alone, and thus completely missed his wide and staring eyes. Somehow though, she imagined they were as open as they were, staring unblinking at her...it was somewhat exciting, truth be told. Different, to say the least.
The gentle tugging on her lip had her forcing herself to not smile, finding his care with her to be touching, yet amusing at the same time. It seemed difficult for many to remember that she was brought up on pain, and while she liked the gentle touches, they weren't entirely necessary. She had a very high pain tolerance.
When his enthusiasm got the best of him, she was thankful for her brutal upbringing; it allowed her to endure it in still silence, nothing about the way she pressed against him changing, aside from a tight clench of her heart in her chest. A little blood seeped out of the tiny wound he'd left on her, marring her pale skin with crimson. Her tongue slid forward, lapping over the small split on her lip to clear of it blood. Not entirely ladylike, but she was quite unable to resist doing it.
"It is all right! I--" She assured him quickly, feeling the pressure of her spikes and just knowing he had gotten stabbed. Needle pulled her arms away from his neck, not wanting to hurt him any further. "Ah! I am sorry!" She pouted, jutting forward the 'wounded' lower lip, which was already closing and smoothing over, working on mending until it was like it never existed.

Now she was apologizing too and their embrace was broken. They were still close, unavoidable since he still held her waist but the musty Halloween breeze passed between their chests now, a gap formed.
"It's alright.." He giggled. "Just a poke. No worse than a branch or a thorn. I'm sorry I bit you.." His gold gaze drifted to her bleeding lip.
Blood.
He stared. He was no vampire but he was a predator. Muka had good self control only because he was with a ghoul. If she had been a wounded animal the result would be different. He licked his lips a bit but pulled his eyes back upwards. "Is it alright? I don't seem to be as good as you.. Did you feel anything different that time?"

"I barely felt it." She assured him, being mostly honest; it did pinch, but it didn't hurt. Once she was sure she wasn't going to hurt him with her arms, she brushed a fingertip against her lip, which was now closed, the wound gone from her pale flesh. "See? No harm done." The Engraver was already missing their closeness, the only thing she could hold onto was the feel of his arms wrapped around her, keeping her close enough.
Needle thought carefully on his question, reflecting on how she felt when his teeth pulled against her. The mild thrill at being so close to someone who could very easily rend her to pieces. The gentle prickles of his sharp teeth, the pinch when he accidentally nipped too hard~
"Honestly?" She hummed. "I quite enjoyed that. It was...thrilling, I suppose the word is? I would not mind letting you do it again." Her arms, unsure of where to go, carefully laid against his to her hands rested on his shoulders, finding a way to rest them against him without spearing him. "How did you feel?"

Muka was actually amazed and the tiny gap between them was closed again when he impulsive leaned in to peer at her perfectly intact lip. "OH! Wow! That is amazing.. how fast does that happen? How bad can you be wounded?"
Was it obvious yet that he didn't know much about ghosts? he didn't even know much about his own species. He probably knew more about demons than anything. His curious questions were spouted as he thought of them and despite the lack of intimate conversation, he still held her close. It was just comfortable.
"I'm glad you enjoyed it." His head bobbled. "I was worried.." he giggled a bit foolishly. "I think I was worried more about hurting you. I didn't even close my eyes!" Another giggle. "I feel better now. Knowing you would be fine if that happened.." The uneasy knot in his stomach, worry he'd decided, had quickly disappeared as her wound healed.
Muka tilted his head a breeze that came by but then sunk back towards the embrace, careful of her arms. "I wouldn't mind, again." He paused and then smiled widely again, teeth once more dangerously close to her face. "I like this part the best." He squeezed her waist a bit.

"Mmm...decently enough, I suppose." She wasn't sure, really; she never thought to time how her wounds healed and various depths. "Badly, I suppose. I can not say I have ever tried, but I am no stranger to impaling myself by accident." A smile, sheepish smile crept onto her lips as she admitted to it; she was used to them, but not entirely free of their affects. "Perhaps we should find out one day." It was a musing thought, though she was curious.
"Though...I imagine it would be somewhere between these spikes, and removing my eyes. Aside from that I am unsure." Her head tilted thoughtfully, humming; now she kind of did want to know how much damage she could take without needing a FEAR healer or dissipating.
"Me too~" She agreed softly, leaning in just enough to nuzzle her head briefly under his chin, feeling the thum of his throat and the vibrations from his heart. Ahhh that heart; the blood must be rushing through it at an incredible rate! His blood wasn't undead, but she imagined she could make some lively ink with it, hmmm maybe one day...
Her hands slid up again, burying her fingers into his thick hair and gently rubbing the back of his neck. "I like touch, I don't get it often." She admitted quietly, lifting her head back up to look at him and his grinning face. "This is...very nice."

Muka truly wondered what she had in mind when she spoke of testing it out. That would be very interesting! Perhaps he should ask her more about being a ghost? He enjoyed learning new things about other species and races. The prospect of eye-removal, though fine for others perhaps, sounded terrible to have done to you. He wouldn't know what to do without his eyes!
The bird-boil was distracted though, easily, by the tuck of her head under his chin. He grinned and nuzzled back, enjoying the contrasting temperatures, the different scents and tastes on the air between the two of them. There was a restrained energy that he found invigorating.
"I don't either.." Muka giggled. "I see some scarelings very touchy with their families but we are not like that." He didn't sound sad, just stating a fact. "It makes it nicer I think.." The strix focused on her face again when she was back in front of him. "It's nicer when we get it, hmm? Because we don't have it all the time?"

"Yes, I imagine that is it exactly." What Muka was saying made total sense; being denied it in the past made it more important in the present, but would it stay that way for the future, too? She didn't want to think any further on that; it implied a sense of freedom she wasn't sure she could have after school was over. Or before, should the Clan Elders get too concerned.
"If I had my choice, I would not mind staying like this all day." The ghoul giggled, leaning in to nuzzle her nose against his more angled one; she wasn't sure why, but it felt like the right thing to do. Besides, it was silly, and she was finding more and more that she liked silly. Her fingers went back to gently rubbing the back of his neck, toying with the strands of hair she could reach without hurting him.

The strix had nothing else to input into the conversation currently. He was enjoying the quiet moment, head tilted a bit down with sleepy looking eyes as she playing with his hair. Apparently it was a bit of a weakness for him. Muka also felt mildly curious about other parts of Needle than her waist but his curiousity only extended as far as touching her skin. He ran a taloned hand over her shoulder and upper arm, just wondering a bit what it felt like. He did his best not to scrape her with his talons.
"Oh.. wait.." Muka giggled, his whole body rattling. "I have something better for you." The strix carefully dislodged from her waist and broke their quiet moment. He scooted backwards and with that familiar sickening sound, he was back in his natural form. His feral voice chuckled and the massive owl-man now slid back to where he had been previously.
With a spread of massive wings and he beckoned her to hug him again.

The gentle brush against her arm made her ghostly flesh goosebump, a soft shiver crawling through her spine. Her arms always had been sensitive, and the contact was more than welcome.
It was the fourth time she had heard it tonight, and it still made her cringe behind her mask. As everything settled she took a look at his massive form again, taking a moment to realize what he was gesturing for her to do. She was hesitant of course, not because he was a massive owl-man again, but because there were no small spaces for her to fit her arms in a comfortable way, meaning it was either impale him, or find a way to hug him without arms.
She frowned thoughtfully, shifting forward again to meet him, leaning into him and his fluff, her hands at her sides and her fingers grazing the ground. Curse her arms!

Muka hunkered down so he was as far into her arm reash as possible. His body was thick and muscular but he very much has a chest and waist. The strix knew she was afraid of hurting him with her arms but he felt tougher in this form. "You can try.." He encouraged her, clawed wings making another hig motion. "I am heartier like this and have thick feathers." There was a giggle. "Just don't squeeze!"
Think of it like.. acupuncture!
Muka's wings them closed around Needle, keeping her in a soft feathery cocoon, held against his trembling body. Letting her use her arms was just another experiment. He knew she wouldnt hurt him but he was curious how much of it he could take.

Needle was about to voice her disapproval over his suggestion, but she bit it back. She had shown him trust earlier, placing her lip in his care, so she imagined it would be something of a rude gesture to not return the favour, so to speak. "Very well." She agreed slowly instead, taking his word on it; he felt like he could handle it, so...perhaps she should believe him!
The ghoul shifted against him again, stretching out her arms to awkwardly hug his large form. She buried her arms in his fluff, gently at first but applying just enough pressure to make it a real hug. Or what she assumed was a real hug; it felt like one! The ones she got when others hugged her and she left her arms limp at her side.
She was too afraid to think of anything else; her entire focus was on finding the point where her needles got too much for him.

Muka shifted and tried to puff himself out a bit. Her needles, through sharp, did nestle into his short body feathers but it almost served like a cushion. He could feel their poke but Needle was being careful and though sharp, they certainly weren't as hazardous as some nature he'd encountered. Thankfully his fluff was pliable and her sensitive arms would find the places between needles, usually never touched, caressed by his downy body.
"Not too bad.." He chuckled, reverberating, large head dipping to nuzzled against her head. For some reason he was less afraid to nuzzle with his face, he felt less frightening, in this form. Perhaps the beak was like a security blanket.

Needle gave an involuntary shiver as his down fit so well around her needles, tickling the tattooed but otherwise usually untouched flesh. What wasn't wounded was incredibly sensitive; she wasn't sure if she liked her arms being touched like this. It felt nice, but it was so alien to her it also very very wrong. Ticklish in such a way she wasn't sure what to make of it.
"Ah...I could fall asleep here." He was so comfortable, and the thrumming his body was doing was like a lull, even for a ghoul who slept best in silence. When she felt his nuzzle she carefuly tilted her head back, returning it where she could. His beak felt funny; pointed and solid. It was different, and thus interesting.
"Perhaps we should go back...before I get too comfortable." Needle chuckled hearing herself say this; Comfort was something she knew she should deny herself before she missed it, but not only that, she really could easily fall asleep here.
