For a long moment nothing reacted in retaliation to Darion's arrogant ways. If Yajuu were there he would've called the boy foolish, for it was true.

Nature should never be provoked.

A simple flash glinted in the corner of Darion's vision, across the ice he had made, the only abnormal movement in the surroundings that was sure to garner attention. But if Darion did react as hastily as he had up to this point and so much as glance at this strange phenomenan he would see that the glimmer on the ice was actually the reflection of the Gorgon's stoney glare, and his Ki would freeze to paralyze his body. Then the great anaconda, still frozen in ice from Darion's last foolish mistake, would shoot up from the ice around him and attempt to devour the boy whole to seal him forever in the icy prison that he himself had brought about.

The giant snake writhed in pain, letting out a sharp hiss before burrowing back down into the water. It would appear that Darion had finally found something that worked against the beast. He didn't have long to grin about it though, as a loosed arrow came from seemingly nowhere, aimed low at the side of Darion's ankle so it would be more difficult to see.

The Snake-Woman glared at Darion but the boy refused to see her face. That was good, she thought. It was something she could rely on later. For now though the woman felt no threat from a lone student. He would pay dearly for intruding into her territory. That was the ominous fact that Darion didn't seem to understand. He was the prey, not her. As soon as Darion launched his attack the Medusa lady seemingly disappeared from his senses. She was simply there, in clear sight for him to attack, and then she was gone without any visible movement at all. Was she really so fast that she could just vanish like that? Needless to say, despite the speed of the attack Darion would hit nothing but air, being unable to sense the Echidna and all. But the monster could still sense him. As soon as Darion's attack ended the Echidna, well hidden behind a nearby tree, launched a nearly unavoidable attack with the intention of killing or wounding the boy before he could realize what'd happened. Clearly this snake lady was more clever than the human had given her credit for. Out of seemingly nowhere an arrow traveling 3 times the normal speed would burst from the ground barely a foot behind the boy and attempt to rip through Darion's center, With the Chi still blocked the arrow would be nearly impossible to detect.

Description: This is one of the most deadly attacks that any fighter can learn. The technique combines the Burrow Shot’s digging ability with the sheer speed of the Warp Shot. Fast and nearly impossible to detect, this attack is nearly impossible to defend against. It travels through the ground at three times the speed of a normal arrow, and bursts from the ground only a single foot from the target. Once free of the floor, it speeds up to four times as fast as a normal arrow.
