"ALL that work!" YUP, she was still going. Once Pyre got dead set on a bitching tangent, it was damn hard to stop the ghoul from nothing else. That was unless you had random Musimon flying at her, that was a good way to knock the wind out of her sails. Tumbling head over heals, they finally landed in a heap. "Get off me, goat man." The phoenix said mumbling back, her pissy mood not entirely gone even if she was now pinned under the boil. Giving the faintest of shoves with her un-injured palm, she shook her head at him as well. "Also, that was probably one of the stupidest lines i have ever heard, but i still feel obligated to say thank you for some reason." He HAD complimented her, yes?

The darkness was beginning to bug her already frayed nerves, and out of helpless anger she couldn't help but swing the sword at the air with growled sighs. At least the weapon caught a wall before her face did.

Kani was back in the cave. How was she sure she was in the right cave? Well, it was just as dark and hard to navigate as ever. The steady slack of her heels was what assured her she was actually moving, and she squinted through the dark.
"Why didn't I bring a bomb." She really needed a light minipet.

The gamer ghost boil was feeling just like his more emotional bro (yes, Westhor) in this case. Whatever was down there in the depth of the school, it wasn't something to take lightly. What he'd seen was something obviously important and guarded. It was meant to be guarded. Akithor couldn't help but think of every adventure game he had played. Now was the time to count your remaining FEAR containers and venture onward to the stage where you had to put yourself on the line. This was unavoidable; however much a watcher rather than a fighter he was, he was joining with DEFENDERS this time. This place was a part of their school and they had a right to defend it. Wasn't this what his games always taught him? Studying the levels and bosses was just as equally important as his academics. You fought for what you thought was right. A smile arose on his face when he clenched a fist, joining the rest of his schoolmates. The bro would find he wasn't the only-thor there. Macthor had kept rather close, as they took to observing rather than attacking up till now. It was a strategic play. Akithor flipped his phone open to glance at the text he'd received previously from his loving bro. It sort of worried Akithor to see it... somehow. Quote: Text to Akithor from Westhor: chill bros 4ever bro ps check ur mail there is foto of us bro He clicked to open the picture again as well. "Our bro's a sucker." But they had to love chill with him. Akithor could have waited to see him, but opted to text a reply. Dragain Text to Westhor: hey This pic I like it. But I want another. The usual watchers had now joined the fight. The gamer was ready for his next level. Turning to Macthor, Akithor gestured inward, a slight aura of ghostly light radiating from him giving them at least a slight indication of depth in the darkness. This was nowhere near what they needed to find their way. "Let's... find the source of all this, bro." They had to get back in there. "C'mon."

It was dark, and Tex headed in, knowing he wasn't that great at finding his way through this thing--except, he thought as he found his bearings, he remembered how he'd gotten lost before. Each and every annoying nook and cranny--including that way down there that he'd lost his temper in and attacked with his guitar.
So he broke into a run, forgetting that he had a ghoulfriend to pull around now, and losing hold of her quickly. Then he stopped where the cavern was supposed to be--
And found it blocked.

Oinqa hurried back into the library, clenching her fists at her sides before heading into the cavern. She was not afraid to admit she was frightened, but she had a job to do and she was going to do it.
For DETH. For Halloween. For...
The hoga stopped short as she almost smacked into someone's back. Someone who was glowing.
"Akithor? Oh, Akithor there's been some terrible Reaper mishap and Kato's gone! I don't... actually know if the two are related, but you should..." She wracked her brain, trying to think of a way to get one third of the Thor bros back to the safety of his dorm. "Go play a game! Yeah! Isn't there a new Eternal Lightness out or something?" She thought she might have seen a game with that title in the window when she had passed by the game store at the maul.

The demon reached the cave nearly out of breath. The jack was that man? A reaper and a ghost of some sort. The cave was really, probably not the best place to go, but it was where many students had gone. She he warn them? That maybe they were in over their heads?
Part of him said no, another part said yes.
The better part of him won out. Whatever was going on was out of their hands. They needed help. Hard to say who would help, but- They couldn't do this alone.

Perhaps it was stupid to head back to the cave after running from the reaper and his too-tempting promises of power, but Ren wanted answers, and if there were answers anywhere, they would be here.
First, though, he had to make it through the maze of dim passageways and dead ends. It wasn't going to be an easy task.

Or perhaps it was. On his previous visit, he'd stumbled around the maze for what felt like hours, retracing his steps endlessly, but now it was barely any time at all before he emerged into the room that had held the tentacles.
The passageway was blocked. Clearly, the universe had a cruel sense of humor. Ren growled softly and slunk into a shadowy alcove to wait. He didn't feel like explaining to the group already here what had happened, nor did he feel like trying to make his way back through the maze again just yet. Also, Cricket was here. Stammering like an idiot was hardly dignified.
