Harrison finished up with a set of paper towel badges, cut out in the shape of stars and emblazoned with the word "JUDGE".
He stuck one to himself, one on Rep, and one on Jordan, who had not been remotely consulted but was now an official judge, on account of knowing the right people.
Harrison gravely took his place at one of the counters, standing beside the sink.
He had also found a small, yellow notepad somewhere.
"Alright," he said, "Ready when you are, Chefs."

Jordan was willing to go along with this. He would be the epitome of impartiality and fairness when it came to judging pastries.
... score.

Before gave Bix a quick hug while whispering "Eeeeverything! I'll give 'em to you later," 8D Before made sure to set aside just enough so that his Bro got a taste of all they made. But for the moment, he presented the plate of Butterscotch Brownies and Blondies to Harrison, and Jordan, with a flourish and a winning smile (made less winning given the fact his hair hadn't completely grown in) and simply placed the one for Rep down without even looking at him. "For the first round, we have Butterscotch Brownies facing off against Blondies," he explained.
((ooc: ic-lly Ofelia and Before are pretty good in the kitchen, so it can go either way XD))

Rep wasn't even phased by the chilly attitude he got as his food was handed over, too busy feeling important with his very official badge. Besides, he didn't expect much else from Before, given every time he'd run into the other man he'd tried to pick a fight with him.
Still, if there was one thing he had, it was a sweet tooth, so taking a slice of one then the other and savouring them critically he mulled them over with actual seriousness, trying to decide which he liked better.

Bix hovered, sniffing and peering over all the plates.

Behind Bix, Gale - apparently having arrived several moments earlier without saying a single thing - thwacked the albino across the back of his head.
"You're drooling on your shirt. Gross."

Definitely serious business. Jordan took his time making his decision on which pastry was better. It was a difficult decision, given that the samples were two different types of bar and this had to be compared on overall merit rather than a simple weighing of one against the other.
Ultimately, the blondies won out. The butterscotch was just a bit too sweet. Jordan made a note.

The next set of food Before presented were Blueberry Muffins and Red Velvet Cupcakes. "Bon Appetit~" Before bowed and shuffled back to begin distributing the brownies and blondies to the rest of the crowd.

Ofelia watched as the judges ate away at the stuff she and Before had worked earlier to bake, her eyebrows bent slightly. It didn't really matter if they liked her product more over his, Ofelia didn't even like baking contests. The point of it all was for everyone to enjoy what they were eating, not to rush it.
"Hey Clover, ya wanna hand wit' handin' stuff out or ya got it? Also everyone, eat in moderation? We haven' really had a chance at sweets inn'a while so please be careful not ta stuff yerselves." The teen finished the last of the dishes and dried her hands on her jacket, not really caring that she had used her jacket. The poor thing had seen better days, it was probably time for an upgrade.
"Also as a reference, if anyone's got favorites they wanna eat later, lemme know. Ah take requests." She...wink blinked. Man, sometimes Ofelia wished she had two eyes to do this s**t properly.Huni Pi MESSAGE ME IF YOU ARE ON GURLA

Ofelia stared at Bix. "Ya look kinda gross. Save some fer the rest'a the people, okay?"
She then went back to cutting and prepping the last two items to be served up, looking over to the judges. "Lemme know when yer ready fer round three." Considering they had just gotten round two that would take a moment. Or two.

Jordan was enjoying the judging process, regardless of the faint edge of tension in the room. He sampled the muffin and cupcake thoughtfully, weighing the merits of each. It might seem silly to give serious thought and analysis to judging a baking contest, but at the same time, it was a good mental exercise, really.
You're just saying that so you can eat it slowly and it lasts longer.
Maybe.
He put a mark next to the notation for the muffins. It was difficult to bake blueberry muffins and keep the blueberries nice and juicy.
