Sasha abruptly smiled, teeth flashing.
"Of course, sir. Do you ah. Have a list? Of things that need doing? I can follow orders. I'm really good at taking orders, doctor," she reassured him. The less technical aspects of Clarice's job would be safe with her.
Simple as that, the guilt was gone.

"I'm quite sure you are, my dear. We'll go simply to start, hm? In the morning, coffee. In the afternoon, tea. I'll contact you whenever I need a meal delivered to this office, or any other little chores I have in mind." He reached and gave the shaving kit a small tap, "Are you comfortable with a straight razor? If so, once a week I like to indulge in a nice shave."

Like a bird of prey with its eyes on the prize, Sasha zeroed in on the shaving kit.
"I used to shave my papa's face. And I shaved Jerry once, but.. well, the disposable razors around here are.. and his beard is... What I'm trying to say, sir, is there's nothing like a straight razor shave."
Sasha turned a smiling face back towards the doctor.
"Thank you, sir."

The door to the doctor's office opened with a whoosh, a bright-eyed and incredibly excited-looking Sasha exiting swiftly before closing the door behind her.
Was she humming?
"Oh! Jerry. Bix! We can ... we can go now. As you can see," Sasha held out her arms, "I'm ah.. right as rain." She offered them each a cheeky smile.

Bix jumped when the door opened so suddenly. He and Jerry looked like they were at a funeral but Sasha came out looking perfectly fine. In fact she looked better than fine. What had he told her?
"Ah.. what happened in there? You're okay?"

Jerry jerked up to his feet so quickly he nearly tumbled down again, catching himself on the all as he tried to digest Sasha's expression.
His face went white, "He... he... he wasn't mad?" He ventured. There was a subtle glow about the girl that made his stomach clench.

The corner of Sasha's mouth pulled back, her expression dimming.
"No. Well." Her brows drew down. "I mean. I'm.. I get to ... have to stand in for Clarice while she's gone. Not anything big, but just. Small errands. It's not that important." Her expression said otherwise. "The doctor is also going to um. Give me the rest of my stuff. From my old home."
She reached out to steady Jerry, squeezing his arm with a bright smile. It seemed that once the burden of guilt had been lifted, Sasha was all sunny smiles and cheer.
"Are you guys um. Hungry?"

Bix looked slightly suspicious, his eyes darting to Jerry and then to Sasha. It seemed odd for her to be this happy after what happened and how she looked in there but getting the contents of her home was at least a good thing.
"Glad to hear it." Bix wasn't particularly hungry and felt like he needed a nap, if anything. He needed to stew on all of this and try to seek his own answers. "I'm not hungry but thanks. I am going to nap.. I am going to try and find out information on my own too. I'll keep you guys updated on the slim chance I find anything."
With an awkward shuffle and pause, he turned and swiftly headed back to go sleep.

Jerry still looked as though he had swallowed something wrong as he gave a hoarse, "T-talk to you later, Bix," As the fellow Sun hunter hurried off. Taking Clarice's job?
No, sir, He didn't like it.
"So... you'll be... spending a lot of time with him?" He frowned distrustfully.

Sasha gave Bix a grateful smile. "Thanks for ... for coming with us, Bix," she replied softly, watching him leave. She felt a surge of dismay that they hadn't really gotten any real answers, but... it was for their own protection. For the protection of their families. If nothing else, that was important.
She turned back to Jerry, pursing her lips. "Coffee in the morning. Tea in the afternoon. Meals per the doctor's request. Other little chores. Shave once a week."
Sasha ticked off the duties as she spoke, shrugging when she was finished.
"To make up for stealing. Also, maybe, I think uh. To thank him. For ah. You know. My flute, and the other things."
Her voice had grown softer.
She paused. "I think it will look good, you know. I mean." Sasha shook her head and waved her hand, looping her free arm through one of his, "Not.. that I .. I don't know. I want to be promoted someday too, Jerry. I don't want to just.. just be this forever. And maybe this will show that I'm.. trustworthy. Or hard-working."

His arm tightened around her's, partially for the support as they limped towards the cafeteria, partly as a subtle sort of territorial action. He had no idea what H was up to. He did not know about any friends lost, nor uncanny resemblances. All he knew was that H had a sudden interest in yet another woman he... felt strongly about.
"I thought... you were signed up to be my b-barber?" He ventured in what he hoped was a friendly way, mouth contorting into a semblance of a weak, trembling smile.
He had entered the meeting feeling hopeful. The best he could describe how he was feeling now was horribly depressed.

"Well, I can still shave.." She caught the trembling of his lips.
Sasha narrowed her eyes.
Pursed her lips.
Almost frowned.
"I can still shave your face, Jerry," Sasha mumbled softly, reaching forward to tug on his scarf. "Don't.. don't be upset, okay? Are you?"

Sasha made a soft sound, moving to stand in front of Jerry. She tugged at his scarf, peering up at him.
"I.. I do. But. You.. should know that... I'm different. In a lot of... a lot of ways, right? I mean."
She grumbled softly, incoherently.
"I'm not her."
For the first time, it actually was something that Sasha was proud of.
