Kiiro was in mid-pounce at the butterfly again when she heard Jerem speaking. She had her claws outstretched and was about to lash her claws at it, when she lost her focus. Falling to the ground she landed on her side in the dirt and leaves with a soft thump. She got up and shook herself, then looked at Jerem before walking to him. If she could talk she would say that playing with butterflies wasn't all she did, but she couldn't.
Turning back to a Human Kiiro went and sat next to Jerem saying, "That's not all I do. I mean, yeah I play with butterflies. But I do hunt and do other things. I probably have it a lot easier than you do I guess, but there are things I have to worry about up here." She started explaining to Jerem how she had to worry about finding enough to eat and drink. And that when winter came it was especially tough because she couldn't always find what she needed and she wasn't going to go to the city because no one there liked her and that they even tried killing her before just because of her ears and tail.

Jerem nodded, listening carefully.
"Well... You could always come to my house when it gets colder. We have plenty of food, and I can make sure you stay warm."
He smiled and dug in his messenger bag, pulling out a small package of peanut butter crackers. He opened it and popped one into his mouth, chewing it as he offered one to Kiiro.

"Would it really be ok? I mean I don't want to be a burden.... And what would yoour parents think of my, uhm... Ears and tail? I suppose I could try hiding them, though that doesn't always work." Kiiro replied, happily accepting the cracker. She nibbled at the cracker and looked at a chipmunk that was wandering up to her and Jerem.
Slowly Kiiro took a bit of the cracker and placed it on the ground. The chipmunk sat up and looked at Kiiro cautiously before going to eat the cracker. It finished the bit of cracker and then went to Kiiro for more.
"Isn't that adorable?" Kiiro said as she put some cracker into her hand. The chipmunk slowly crawled into Kiiro's hand while eating the bit of cracker. Moving her hand up, with the chipmunk sitting in it, Kiiro took her other hand and lightly rubbed the chipmunk on the head.

Jerem chuckled, watching Kiiro and the chipmunk. He nibbled on another cracker.
"Well, you could always be a cat around my parents, and then just be yourself around me. Or we could figure out a way to hide the tail and ears.. Shouldn't be too hard. A loose hat, a skirt, maybe. A long one..."
He sat back on the porch, considering the options. Absently, he offered another cracker to the girl and the chipmunk.
"Unless that tail has a mind of its own, it shouldn't be too hard to conceal it under a long skirt, or a coat."

Kiiro set the chipmunk down before looking at Jerem. She was curious about whether or not Jerem's parents would want a cat in the house. She knew that she wasn't going to run away, but even if she would leave the house she'd come right back. She thought about always wearing a hat around Jerem's parents but it wasn't very appealing since she liked her ears to be uncovered. And when she heard about wearing a skirt over her tail she said, "I'm not sure that a skirt will work to cover my tail.. It would need to be kinda poofy. And my tail starts twitching or wagging sometimes, even when I don't want it to. Mostly when I'm nervous, excited or for other reasons." Her tone was a bit embarrassed and was laughing slightly trying to not feel as embarrassed..

The brown-haired boy hummed and nodded slowly. He swallowed his cracker and wiped the crumbs from his fingers.
"Hm. Guess that wouldn't work, then."
He fell silent, thinking again. Clouds drifted overhead, and he watched them lazily.
"Well, we have time before it gets cold out... We'll think of something," he finally decided, shrugging.

Kiiro looked at Jerem a bit before turning into a cat again and stretching out on the porch, bathing in the warm sunlight. She felt more comfortable as a cat and decided that was how she would be when she went to Jerem's house for the winter, if she really went. Knowing that the bobcats were just as willing to let her stay with them for the winter like she had done once beofre she thought long and hard about how to tell them she wanted to go with Jerem.
Kiiro knew that the bobcats wouldn't be angry if she decided to stay with Jerem. They would just have one less cat to curl up with. She looked around and then meowed a bit loudly, but not too loudly. Suddenly the mother bobcat came out of some undergrowth and padded up to Kiiro. Kiiro meowed to the bobcat and they ended up in a conversation. The bobcat female nodded her head in understanding and then went off to hunt.
Kiiro looked up at Jerem and turned human again. "Sorry about that. I was just telling her I wasn't going to be staying with her and her cubs when winter comes. I just hope that I really can stay with you when it gets cold. If not she said that I'm always welcome to stay with her." She told Jerem.

The whole time Kiiro was lounging around and talking to the bobcat mother, Jerem was content to sit on the porch. He had pulled his sketchbook into his lap and fished out a decent pencil and started to draw lines of their surroundings. A small bird landed on a branch nearby, close enough for Jerem to see details of its feathers, so he began focusing on drawing it.
Kiiro approached him and explained what her and the bobcat discussed, and he nodded. "Okay. I don't think my parents are going to care, they have more important things to fight about..." he laughed, not taking his eyes off of the bird. "We probably have about a month before winter really hits..."
He looked away from the bird briefly, glancing at Kiiro with a smile. He was aware of the chill in the air, but it was just an autumn chill. Nothing serious yet.
"So we have time to prepare."

Kiiro smiled at Jerem and then wondered what it would be like if she lived with him at his house. She thought about if there was any way to get Jerem's parents to stop fighting; she wasn't a miracle worker, though she did like to help people. Even if that help was only listening to others.
As she thought about trying to offer help stop Jerem's parents from fighting. She didn't like fighting and didn't know if she'd be able to stand living around people that were fighting. She was mulling over what to do when she heard Jerem mentioning that they had about a month or so before winter hit and she shivered at the thought.
"I should probably start preparing myself, even if I'm not really going to be taking anything with me. I mean if I'm going to be in my cat form I wouldn't need to take anything. However, if I am going to be Human sometimes I am going to need to take some of my stuff." She said as she wondered how all this would play out. She sighed softly and then turned into a cat, curling into a ball next to Jerem. Her eyelids were getting heavy and she was starting to doze a bit because it was around the time that she took a nap. She didn't really want to take a nap since Jerem was there, but it was almost ritual for her to take a nap at that time.

Jerem nodded silently to her observations of needing to begin preparation now.. and felt her curl up next to his leg. He blinked, then gently brushed his fingers along her side.
"Okay," he said with a smile. "I guess when you wake up, I'll help you pack."
As she napped, he would sit there and draw, petting her every now and then.

Kiiro lay there beside Jerem, feeling him brush his fingers on her side before she was asleep. She was content laying there and she started rumbling as she lay there sleeping.
When she woke it was only about fifteen minutes after she lay down for her nap. She realized she was purring rather loudly and she was a bit embarrassed. She immediately stopped purring and looked at her paws.

Jerem had been drawing since she fell asleep, humming to himself. He felt her shift and looked down, blinking.
"Awake now? How was your nap?"

Kiiro looked up at him, her ears down a bit; still embarrassed by the fact that she was pressed against his leg and purring so loudly. She nodded at his question and wondered if her face would turn red if she turned Human. However, she was unable to tell him how her nap was in her cat form so she bravely changed and said with a slight mixture of nervousness and embarrassment in her tone, "It was nice. It was only a nap, but I feel a lot better after that nap than I've felt after any of my other naps."
She wanted to transform into a cat and sleep some more, but thought otherwise. She knew that if she was going to prepare to stay with Jerem, then she'd need to get her things she wanted in order and mentally prepare herself.
Getting up Kiiro said, "I'm going inside to see what things I'll want to take with me when winter comes."

Jerem nodded and set aside his pencil, moving his sketchbook from his lap. He stood, following Kiiro into the house.
"I can bring a big bag tomorrow so you can put things into it. My parents won't notice it..." He explained, tucking his hands in the pocket of his light jacket. "That way I can bring your stuff there one day and it'll be ready for when you come to stay."

Kiiro smiled a bit as Jerem said he would help her take things to his house. She probably woun't need much, since she was going to be a cat most of the time. But she was still going to pack up enough for when she was Human.
She headed to her room and then motioned for Jerem to follow. She reached her room and grabbed a small bag that had some things in it. Most of which she rarely wore, but it could be a start if she was going to be moving some of her things to Jerem's place. She wasn't going to forget her little plush cat bed that she had, so she picked that up and held it under her arm.
