As Sjari approached Badieh became tense for a moment, but as he hooked tails with her, the slightest of hidden gestures, she let a faint smile come across her features, the tension dissipated quickly. "You did well," though se had to admit, the antics were interesting that followed after. "Wonder if I'll be fast enough to act as you have,"she said with a wink. The pride was doing well.
Ryujin watched as those that came to participate came together not just as friends or family tied by bonds, but those that would fight together in the future. He felt proud to be part of such a large family, proud to be firekin.
Mwako'Damu was unsure of how to feel after Fia and the other team's antics, but he knew it was all in preparation and perhaps, even good fun. He had to learn, it seemed, to take fun with tension even in the slightest. But he was ready, and was alert, just as Hraga instructed.

"Bah!" Fia snapped, though she was looking less annoyed now. "Then I hope you get indigestion." She replied, flicking her eyes towards Zheva in acknowledgement. "Have a good life, sister!" She called out after Ea as her twin dragged the flailing Elcca to safety.
This was perhaps the first time that Fia had not felt so...alone. Alone since the news of her nephew. Seeing the pride pull together like this. It gave her hope. Gave her strength and confidence that they were going to be alright. That those who were lost would be avenged.
And now it seemed team number one were moving off again, ready to face the others hiding amongst the dunes. She smiled, hoping that the next time they bumped into an opposing team member they might find a struggle on their paws. Not one to utter good luck, she let her head flop back against the sand and waggled her soon-to-be amputated paw in the air.
--
Naar, giving a small nod to Ryujin, nervously padded forwards, drawing closer to their team leader: Hraga. Even still, she kept glancing over her shoulder to make sure her dark, shadow was with her.
"Noise is a good way to track." She observed, though it was a bit of a pointless observation. "I think they will come. We should get ready. There might be more."

He dipped his head modestly, and chose not to comment on his own work. "You will, of course." He had no doubts of Badieh's skill, even though he had yet to actually see the lioness in action. He began to walk as the rest of the group began to move, apparently intent on taking more ground.
His ears perked at the sound of a voice, and his head shot up to see the dark lioness flee. But he'd gone deeper into the group, and had no hope of catching up.
Kalama thought she did, however. As the lioness ran off, she joined in the chase, racing through the sand as quickly as her legs could carry her. The problem was that the other lioness had a bit of a head start, thanks to distance... Ugh, she better not get away!

"Shoot," Hraga cursed under his breath as he followed behind the others. The trenches made running complicated enough, and as they passed, he tried his best to try and make sense of what exactly they were planning here. It made running difficult, sure, but wasn't this a little over elaborate? This was the kind of ground you held, not gave up to your enemies!
But as they darted after the shadowy lioness, it became clear that she had too much of a headstart on them. Before they knew it, there was no sound of paws against the sand. In fact, once Hraga stopped moving he realized there was no sound at all. Bitterly he gave a short growl of frustration. "Did anyone see who it was?"
He hadn't caught more than a tail. Black- but that could have been literally anyone. "They can't think we're foolish enough to just follow them into that." Or were they planning on them standing still? He turned towards the group. "What on earth were they trying to do here?"
He motioned to the mounds of sand that had been pushed over, and the pawprints that still ran tracks around the earth. His brow furrowed... this looked like Tarsa's shenanigans, but he couldn't be certain.
[Next part of the game will be in a few hours to give time for reactions!]

Teketeza flashed a cocky grin at Kalama before taking a few steps back from Vlam so that he could be dragged away by the medics. This game was quickly becoming a lot of fun, but he still didn't think it would be much help when it came to a real battle. When Hraga called out his appreciation, the grey and orange male nodded in acknowledgement. "Thank you Sir." He hoped that Kidondo and No had been watching as well.
On top of the rock that Vlam had been keeping watch upon, he spotted a sudden movement. It was a black Firekin, again from Team Two, but she was quickly taken down. It all seemed too easy.
When Hraga called out for some to advance and others to remain, Teketeza hopped down from the rock and rejoined the advancing group. There was still plenty of places for Team Two to hide, so they would have to remain on the lookout. Suddenly, a voice echoed all around them. The firey lion snarled as he looked around. Spotting a flash of grey marked with mud, he immediately gave chase with the others. They didn't catch anything more than that though.
As the group started to discuss what to do next, Teketeza continued to snarl. "If it is a trap, I say bring it. We've lost the element of surprise, so we should be prepared for all possible concequences."
As Ukuba's group moved around to the right, it seemed as though they kept on missing all the action. First the two Firekin on top of the rocks, then a black female who seemed to appear from no where. She was taken down by Sjari, which brought a small smile to the dark red lion's maw.
Just as the groups were joining back together, another commotion. Apparently a scout had managed to spy what they had done, and then had managed to escape with the information. There wasn't quite as many options now, and in his opinion, Team Two would now have the upper paw. Of course, they could split into smaller groups once more, but that would be a risky strategy. "If we remain together, it is unlikely that they would attack us. Perhaps if we were to move forward in a group, it would reduce the chance of them picking us off one by one."
