The witch listened carefully enough, intrigued by the premise and also a little saddened as it reminded her of a friend she once had... Belladonna couldn't be sure if Junko still wanted to remain friends after her disappearance, but she sincerely hoped so. Guess she would just have to find out...
Regardless, Belladonna waited until Mort was safely inside before she rose the broom up in the air a little.
"It'd be best to stand back." She called down as she swung one leg over the handle before she dropped to holding it above her head. She used her momentum to swing through the window, completely by-passing the use of the window ledge and instead just flourish through with a bellow of "Incoming!!".
Upon landing, the witch couldn't find her feet and stumbled forward a few paces with a small squeak.
Even if she fell flat on her face every so often, life was too short not to do things extravagantly. Taking off and landing, included.

Once steadied the witch deposited her broom back in closet and looked about the room.
"Binx? You in here?" She called, but before he answered she looked up to find him perched on the very top of the bookshelf. "What are you doing up there silly kitty?" Her hands reached up for him and he pounced down into her arms, using her bust as a landing pad. Strangely enough, Belladonna seemed used to this and even stuck it out a bit for him before she curled her arms around him.
"Your princess sure does yip a lot." The cat said with a few quick flicks of the tail.
"She is a foxfire." Belladonna pointed out before she added. "We're going to watch a movie!"
The cat rolled his eyes, gave her one very quick peck on the cheek and vanished out the window in a black blur.

Free of the menacing cat, Belladonna padded over to Mort and gave Lanna a good pet.
"Skario Kart?! Oh my Hecate, I LOVE Skario Kart! Well, I used to. I haven't played in forever. Hemlock was obsessed with the game and we used to play together. I love Princess Rotten-Peach. She's so cute!"
Now that they were landed and safe on flat floors, the witch couldn't help slide a little closer to the boil in attempts to reclaim the closeness they had shared but not been able to enjoy just a few minutes ago.

Have you been watching Legend of Korra? I am OBSESSED.

Mort applauded when she swung in regardless of her landing and stifled a chuckle when Binx cushioned himself with her bodacious breasts, but it was really learning that she liked Scario Kart too that lit his face up. He scooted the remaining distance between them, pleased and excited and just yessssss: Bells automatically got more respect points for her taste. "Should play together sometime! Have things n' room whenever," he declared as Lanna squirmed out of his arms and into the witch's lap. "M-Maybe after movie?" Bella might've been tired, but Mort had the endurance and stamina of the undead. Also, Scario Kart.

AyeAvast
I'm waiting for the series to get along enough that I can watch a host of episodes per sitting. 8D BUT YES EXCITE. Also sorry for the shorter posts, I hate final projects.

The witch gave a happy nod with a big smile, but couldn't find much to say. She might have to take a little rest during the movie... Or maybe just sitting around watching for a while would help her get over her mid-afternoon nap feeling. So with efficiency (and a few flourishes) the witch set up the SkeV, movie player and started the movie. While the opening credits were rolling, she fluffed the pillows on her bed and made them a nice little area in which to lounge. Belladonna waited for Mort to get comfy before she promptly used him as a pillow and snuggled herself into his chest, Lanna cuddled between their collective laps.

"You're so cold..." The witch mumbled happily against him as she snuggled closer. But before she let herself drift off, she sat up and looked at him. "If I'm bothering you with all this... Just, um, let me know... But... I hope I'm not." Another pause while she bit her bottom lip. She thought about it for another moment before she leaned in and gave him a small kiss.

Ol-j-man
I get that. WELL. As someone who's seen the episodes so far, ITS GO GOOOOODDDD.
And don't worry about it, honey-bunch. School first, rps second. <3 Good luck with finals!

Ah, pillows~ He really should ask Mama to send him some extra ones - he'd almost forgotten how comfortable they could be if you made a fort of them. Or maybe it was just the experience of doing so with a close friend, who knew! Once they had settled, Mort made an almost purr-like sound when Bella settled against him, the bliss of soft seats for a movie with her pushing him past the self-conscious stage. Although he did pause when she mentioned who cold he was, saying, "I-If need, could get a blanket for -"

And then he was, happily, interrupted by a kiss, and his thoughts blurred each other into a haze of red once again. Small or not, it still sent a small pleasant shock through him as he returned the feeling - and hey, this time he didn't accidentally bite her! He pulled away a little afterwards, grinning boyishly. "Will let know when bothers," he said. "K-Kisses don't prolly won't, though." It was only because their faces had been so close that the zomboil then noticed the signs of tiredness Bella was beginning to show; or rather, she'd look so close to sleep when against him. "You, er, sure can go through movie? C-Could always save for later."

The witch waved a dismissive hand to both the blanket comment and the movie comment. She needed neither a blanket nor a movie. She was perfectly content.
"If I fall asleep, just, I dunno... Ignore me or something. I don't snore or anything. Binx told me so."
Of course she slept with her cat. He slept right by her, every night. Most of the time he just shared the pillow, but on bad nights, on nights when Belladonna had nightmares or she just couldn't get to sleep, he would curl up in her arms. But of course, she kept all that to herself. Even cats had a reputation to uphold.

As for the kissing, the witch screwed her lips up into a side-pout and gave a small, curt nod.
"Alright. Well... Please do. I don't want to bother or inconvenience or push you or anything..." A small pause. "But I hope they don't. I rather like them." A hint of a smile played out for a moment before she yawned and snuggled back down onto him. "I've watched this one before, so you enjoy it... I might not nap at all! Just let me... Rest my eyes, that's all..."
Unfortunately for Belladonna's need to be a good host, she quickly drifted off, lulled by the chill from the boil. It was strangely comforting and she would probably fuss over how quickly she fell asleep afterwards.
Until then, she remained asleep for most of the movie, her head cradled against his chest with one hand wrapped lightly around the fabric of his shirt and the other twined into the fur of Lanna.
Towards the end of the movie she'd wake up, surely once it got a bit louder she'd wake up, but until then she merely breathed slowly, her face passive with just a hint of a smile.

Ol-j-man
The animation style is so gorgeous too. The action scenes the fashion the everything!! Let me know when you do watch them and we can squeal over it together. XD

"Beeeeeells, if inconvenienced you would know already," he told her firmly. "This i-is . . . This was the best day I had for a while. Really." And Mort let those be the final words he gave before the movie began. Despite what she said about only "resting her eyes", the witch fell asleep within minutes; he could tell by the rhythmic, slow breathing against him, and it (much like a heartbeat) was a comfort to him in the background.

The movie kept his attention for the most part, but when too much dialogue popped up Mort's mind couldn't help but drift a bit. Maybe it was just the ghoul's influence, but he felt strangely drained as well. Maybe due to going from zero activity to a moderate amount suddenly; his brain hadn't been exercised in at least a day after all. And Jack, the kissing, grabbing food, the broom ride there and back, and all the talking peppered in between . . . In his schedule, that was a full day's worth - and definitely worth it.

But it was dangerous to think for too long, company or not. The whispers never had left, though he had certainly forgotten about them during the fun, and the doubts encircled them like invisible corrividus. This was wrong, they said. He wasn't allowed to have fun like this. Or was he playing both Belladonna and Gene for his own pleasure? The thought of them both hating him just because he couldn't think before doing made him grow even colder, and he clutched the sleeping witch's shoulder to steady both himself as well as her. They would hate him if he didn't stop, he was sure of it, but one of them would hate him anyway if he chose one over the other. There was no right answer and only bleakness ahead . . .

Mort couldn't do this right now. He focused the best he could on the ScreV and the sensation of Bella's warm body against him. Here and now. Not later, not then, not maybe. But it was hard . . . An idle hand stroked the witch's hair much like would have done to Lanna as he watched the movie, his expression grim.

Though she wanted to make some noise of joy, some little indicator that she had heard him and was happy, sleep took over before she could. But it was something she would remember when she woke up, and she could tell him then.
As for the voices, it was best Belladonna didn't know about all that. Even if she had, there wasn't much she could do. She would have only been able to talk louder then they had, but probably with less sway. The voices inside ones head always had a way of being more pervasive then a real, living person right in front of you. So the witch dozed on, oblivious as ever.
It was also best that she knew nothing of this other girl, mostly because Belladonna would never have been able to guess how she would have acted. Either she got angry and grew cold to the boil, or she got protective and did all she could to sway him to her side. And if she knew the situation, Belladonna would probably want to chose neither. Yet the two failed attempts at relationships seemed to haunt her and she certainly did not want to repeat this cycle of woe and anguish. Especially with a boil she so decidedly liked and cared for and could share so much with.

When Mort's hand found her shoulder, she readjusted her head and clutched at his shirt a little tighter with a soft, mumbled "S'okay..." She wouldn't remember it when she awoke, but it seemed as though she were picking up on what he had been feeling...
And with the movie nearly over, she started to stir, though it took until the credits before she actually woke up enough to be any sort of company.
She sat up and rubbed her eyes, blinking slowly at Mort. "I feel asleep... Sorry." Her cheeks flushed a little, but honestly the witch was happy. If given a few more minutes she would be up and bouncing again. "How are you?" She mumbled still, happy but still sleepy.
Had she been out too long? Had he reverted back to being affected by Insanity? What now? Was everything ok?

Ol-j-man
Ooohhh, do it! biggrin There are 4 episodes out and a 5th comes out this Saturday, so you'll have a good chunk to watch! When are your finals over?
PostPosted: Mon Apr 30, 2012 9:45 am

"Mrrr? M'fine," Mort answered quickly when he realized she was stirring. "N' you're fine too. It was a good movie." Even if he couldn't remember some of the bits. Once Bella had straightened up off him he began to try and stretch, the stiffness in his body. "Rigor mortis," he explained before she had the thought to blame herself. "Is why like watching ScreV series m-more: shorter period, not sitting still so long. Slept okay?" He wasn't exactly the softest bed after all.

Beyond the look of surprise Mort had when she first spoke, he did his best to hide that he had been delving a bit back into those whispers again. She would fuss, or worse.

Lanna had fallen asleep too sometime in the middle of the movie, though her ears pricked up once she heard people talking right above her. Blinking sleepily, she moved back over to the witch's lap, preferring a warm bed kthnx.

With half-lidded eyes the witch watched him stretched and decided that looked nice, so she did her own. Though maybe she shouldn't have, what with the way she stretched her shoulder blades and all that. Anyways...
"Rigor mortis?" She asked with a little more interest. "Oh! I am so sorry! I totally forgot about that... Does it bother you?" Not the forgetting, the actual affliction. It sounded nearly dreadful. Just to have one's body seize up due to inactivity, bleck. "I wonder if there are any spells that help combat it?" Her eyes wandered over to her bookshelf, but he asked her a question so she turned back. "Yes. I slept fine, thank you. You're very comfy."
It was true. Just because he wasn't a pile of fluff didn't make him uncomfortable. And for some reason, Belladonna found she liked his level of comfort. Erm, the level of comfort that was him... Whichever.

When Lanna inserted herself onto the witch's lap, she only laughed and petted her adamantly. The witch stretched her legs out in front of her, then tucked then under her skirt so that Lanna would have more of a place in which to nap. Yet, she turned and looked up at Mort for a moment before a hand reached out and touched his cheek.
"Are you doing alright?" Her voice was soft, but not from sleep. If he didn't want to talk about it, they wouldn't. Belladonna wouldn't push. But sometimes, it helped. And she rather liked helping...

Ol-j-man
DnDDDDDD. Cool! biggrin I've been trying to get a group together for such a long time, but we're all crazy busy. Hope you have fun tho!

For her sake he smiled when he answered, waving off her concerns with a hand. "'Course m'doing alright. I-Is not like am not used to stiffness by now, n' don't usually sit still long enough to worry about. Plus had pretty girl kiss me n' lean for sleep. Is easy forgetting problems," Mort asserted, trying to not let the distinct tingling from where her fingers laid distract him. He patted her hand affectionately. "Heh. Worry so much, reminds of Mama . . . But really should worry more for you. Are you still tired? If r-really need sleep, can leave." Mort didn't want to wear out the welcome mat after all; people had their limits, and between the living and the undead sleep was a very different parameter to work with.

The witch let off a little huffy sigh, but smiled up at him in the next second.
"Alright." She acquiesced as she slowly took her hand back. "Me? Worry too much? Pish, tosh!" The witch waved another hand but put them both to petting Lanna. "And your Mama sounds like my kind of lady." Belladonna smiled at that but glanced back at the boil.
"Worry for me? What for? Oh, I'm not sleepy any more." Here she inserted a bit of a bounce for show. "I just needed a little cat nap is all."
Finally it registered that he had complimented her, so she dipped her head in a small thank you gesture and tucked a strand of red curl behind her ear.

The atmosphere had taken a bit more tension then the girl was prepared for, so she nudged the boil with her elbow and gave him a wink.
"You can leave if you'd like. But I rather enjoy having you around." A blush settled on her face, but she didn't bother fighting it this go around. "You're lovely company and I like you." Obviously... But besides that, the witch would say nothing. She had taken the firm stance of not pushing this. Pushing would only make matters worse, she was sure. So instead, she would only go with whatever flow was set. And smile. Always smile.
It didn't matter if it wasn't scary. It was pretty and right now she'd rather be lovely then scary.

Ol-j-man
Yes please!! That would be divine! I must warn you, I'm a super noob, but I'll do my best!
PostPosted: Mon Apr 30, 2012 4:08 pm

"If you'd like". That was one of the worst things a ghoul could say a to boil, next to "Does this make me look fat?", since it put the decision all on them and they would have to deal with the consequences. It also didn't help that Mort was on the fence about leaving, enjoying the intoxicating feeling of . . . whatever it was they'd been experiencing. He made a face and mulled it over while Lanna rolled over to get Bella to scratch her belly (since if she was going to be forced awake by all the talking, she might as well get some love!).

"Mrrr . . . Would not mind staying if so," the zomboil eventually said, giving in to his cravings for affection and its Insanity-repelling powers. "N-Not for night, 'course, would look like creeper while you sleep n'less get really tired myself, n' even then would be funny sleeping n' same room, but uh . . ." He smiled and pushed his glasses up. "Think you're great company too, specially f-for helping get through this. Really owe favor for."

Only, if he was going to stay for a while longer . . . what would they do? There were several clear ideas in his head of course, none of which he had the gall to suggest. But maybe . . . "Mentioned Scario Kart before. Have game here?" Mort asked. "Could play if you want. O-Or whatever you normally do with friends."

To say that the witch was thoroughly pleased by his agreement to stay would have been an understatement, but her heart practically leapt from her chest when he mentioned Skario Kart. She couldn't be sure why, but the fact that he wanted to share something so simple, but something he so clearly loved, with her meant more then she could say. So she didn't mention it!
"Do you not usually sleep?" She asked as she scratched Lanna's belly. "Goodness I must have looked a sight when I slept." The witch lowered her head in shame and sighed pitifully. "And it wouldn't look all that bad." Belladonna added with a laugh, though she managed to keep her mind very much not in the gutter.
OK. Just one foot in the gutter.

As for him saying he owed her one, she couldn't help but feel a little stab. It was a stab of mixed feelings, one of gratitude that she could help at all, but also one of fear. It wasn't a favor it was... It was... Well, ok, Belladonna didn't know what it was she was doing (besides being horribly selfish and keeping the boil all to herself), but it wasn't something that warranted a favor. And no matter how pressing the idea seemed, she would not casually mention the fact that they should go steady and that would be payment enough.
So instead, the witch gave Lanna back to Mort, slid off the bed and padded to her closet where she flung open the doors again.

This time she rummaged around in a box shoved way in the back.
"I think Hemlock gave me the system when I moved back... Told me to take it and have some fun." The girl paused and screwed up her face. Or had it been Delphinium who had thrown it at her head and been vastly disappointed when the younger witch instead caught it and jinxed her older sister? Either option was highly likely.
But finally, after a few skitter sightings and a lot of dust, the witch whirled around with the game, controllers and system in her hands.
"Got it!" She shouted triumphantly as she ran to the middle of the room and stopped. "Um... I... I don't know how to set it up. Hemlock always did that..."
Whatever points the witch had scored previously with Mort over her gaming knowledge surely had to have been lost at that point.
But it wasn't her fault! Really! She had always been busy when Hemlock set the system up... Mostly running around pestering her family...
So the witch only stared up at Mort helplessly and squeezed her arms together a little. That would always help.

Ol-j-man
Woot!
Also, I totally wrote my Nightmare Solo and Mort's in iiitttt~ He's very popular as of late. wink

Mortimer couldn't honestly answer the comment about the sight of her asleep without sounding like a creeper - or a pervert. He even decided not to laugh along with her on that point in case it hinted at either, restricting himself to just a little smile. "Here." He took the box from her (careful not to touch the ladies even if he could've called it an accident) and knelt by the ScreV, untangling wires and connecting plugs in the right places. The system looked sturdy enough, though the disc had a bit of smudging; he carefully wiped it on his shirt before inserting the game in, rewarded with the chime of the system starting up without a snag afterwards.

Grinning, Mort grabbed the two controllers and handed Bella the second player one, mashing buttons through the start screen until they got to the cups. "You say is casual player? Could start on easy," he said, putting the curser over the one called Shroom Cup. "Ooor . . . could try hardest tracks," he added deviously, the curse moving to the brightest one on the screen called Sparkle Cup.

And after that decision came the character selection, whereupon the zomboil immediately found Growlser and snagged him, no contest. There was something fun about being a giant monster in a tiny kart that made him laugh. Slightly maniacally.

It was good that Mort was into video games so much and knew how to get the system all set up, otherwise they would have been totally lost. The witch vaguely wondered if Mort was good with other technological things as well, and decided she would have to ask him about it later. If so, she'd certainly take advantage of the boy and use his skills to fix whatever was wrong with her computer.
Not that she was thinking about taking advantage of anybody...

With a happy jump, Belladonna took the controller and plopped herself onto the bed next to Mort. She watched the screen carefully, trying to recall exactly she and Hemlock had done when they played. Just as she was opening her mouth to say it would be better for her to play an easy track, the courser moved over to the worlds 'Sparkle Cup'.
"SPARKLE CUUUUPPPP!!!" The witch bellowed with a punch of her fist into the air. It no longer mattered if she won or lost this game, they were playing for Sparkles.
And Belladonna just adored sparkles.

So with that selected, the witch quickly maneuvered over to Princess Peach-Pit with a small squeal of joy. The character was just too adorable in her rotted pink princess dress.
"Alright! Let's do this!" Belladonna punched the air once more before she hunched over her controller. Before the race started she scooted a little closer to Mort and looked at him with narrowed eyes. "If you win, I'm going to run you off the track. Fair warning. I had to play dirty with Hemlock."
And if running him off the track didn't work she'd tickle him or something... Were Undead ticklish? Well, she was sure she could distract him other ways if worse came to worse...

Ol-j-man
Ooohhh, I'm very interested in THIS. Let me know when its posted. XD If you read mine, I uh, fixed some things. Mostly the last bit and the fact that for some reason I changed Mort's named to 'Mortimus' at once point. Whoops... >.>;
