This basically drew Tim's full attention. Underneath his mask his eyes widened from the sudden proximity, and he paused 'calmly' as Skuld introduced herself.
"It's.. no problem, really. I'm Robin."

Arell leaned against the tree he was trying to cut down earlier. If he hadn't quit for good a week or two ago, he'd probably have a lucky strike dangling from his mouth and smoking like a steam train. Then again, he also promised Crystal he'd stop smoking for good this time . . . As C.J. would say "Place yer bets to see how long THIS is gonna last."
Speaking of which he was chillin' with Artemis, seein' about the other wall jumper. It wasn't every day he met one who could do that.
Dundee came back over to Kesshou with the first aid kit. "Need a hand?" he asked.

Kesshou watched Skuld with a raised eyebrow, and a more serious look than usual. When spoken to by Dundee she looked at him and shook her head. "No time if this Kai is looking for us. We need to move. You can check her over when we get to where we're going."
She then looked back at Crystal, who was now rolling on the ground, laughing. "Crystal... We need to get going."
"I know... But this is too priceless." Crystal started to get up, still laughing as quietly as she could.
"Alright... Alright... Let's get a move on then." She walked past Arell, grabbing the front of his shirt as the went by, tugging him along. "Where is she Artie?"
Artemis looked over. "Oh so people are ready now? If so then she's this way." He got up onto his hind legs and walked back the way he came in a more human manor.

 A new person, one none of the group might have ever met before waits at the entrance to the safe zone. His humming droning a slight insanity towards Red Cardinal as she is now called. he leans against one of the trees both hands in pocket relaxing, unfazed by time or the wear from anyone he's ever encountered. He could sense the souls of people coming closer. Coming for Red Cardinal. Who would have guessed his protegee would make a good soul magnet when before she would scare event he strongest of those priests. One soul in particular caught his interest, blue aura, lots of energy, and magic users. He would play human, to get that group to take this girl from the safe zone. And hopefully, being that she had entered the realm of time, it would have been a time that made her forget his face.

C.J. looked around. Sne-e-e-e-e-eaking around the fourth wall, up through the writer's computer, down the information superhighway and into Maho's computer to see where Kai was. "Oh, cool! So THAT'S where it is. Oh, Hiya, Maho!! I'd better get running along!" he said, giving a small wave and down the road he went, whistling a tune. Finding Kai with ease, he hopped down from the fourth wall. "Hiya, Legs!! Sorry I'm late. Had to stop for lunch." he said with a smile, producing a bucket of chicken. "Want one?"
Meanwhile, Arell slung his shotgun over his shoulder. "Let's git goin', y'all. I cain't stand sittin' around like this . . . nice t' see you two gettin' along so well." he said, smirking towards Tim and Skuld.
Dundee looked at Kesshou with a nod. "Good move. Let's roll out before I have to Zap Arell to stay with us again." Dundee said.

Artemis led the way to Kai, taking care to stay quiet.
Crystal held Arell's hand. She was trying hard to keep tabs on the hot head.
Kesshou on the other hand was making sure Skuld and Tim kept up with everyone.
Artemis stopped in front of the safe zone, eying the man who stood there. "May I help you stranger?"

When Artemis stopped it gave time for the ones in the back of the group (Kesshou, Skuld, and Robin) to catch up fully with the rest. Tim idled, looking around Arell to see who had stopped the group like this. He wanted to get out of here.... the longer they stayed, the more he could feel how foreign and... odd... this land was.

"Nothing in particular. I've been living here and would be willing to help you find a safer place. You're friend inside, fetch her, and I'll lead you to the nearest village."
He still stood rather calmly.
Kai looked at Arell with confusion. How could she have felt this kind of confusion before? And chicken. Kai shook her head and held her hand out to push it away.
"I don't eat meat."
She then looked back, she could see some of her friends near the entrance, just barely and walked in that direction.
"I think I see the others... come on fruity."

C.J. paused for a minute to hop over the fourth wall. "Arell?! I did it. 'Sides, Arell HATES Fried Chicken . . . I think he's allergic to it." he said to the other writer and shrugged, sliding down the fourth wall.
Speaking of, Arell held Crystal's hand in his free hand. The other in his pocket. Fortunately that shotgun of his had a sling that could save him a hand. He saw Red up the path and walked up to her. "Glad we found ya . . . so much for 'Let's stick togethah', huh?" he asked. Dundee just rolled his eyes. His two knucklehead brothers were at it again.

"It's this place, that's why..."
Kai sighed, and rubbed her hair regretfully. She felt really bad that she had lost them but really didn't know how or why she had veered off and disappeared without a thought. It was this places autopilot.
"We should, head through this safe zone till we reach the village, use as much of this zone as possible and get the hell out of here."
Meanwhile, the unnamed man stood by the entrance. Kai was now within sight but he kept faced enough away from the girl as to seem a little less conspicuous. Although, if this Kai had remained soulless as he left her, she would be more than pleased to help him in obtaining the souls from these pathetic humans. Her help would only empower the both of them, but this would not be the case. As far as he observed, she now had her soul back by some miraculous event. How, he didn't know, he had taken enough of her soul, or so he thought, to keep her without moral obligation to her own species.

Arell smirked. "Doan' worry. I'm de same way back in Lou'siana." he said with a smile. It was actually good seeing him and Kai getting along. However, Someone else was starting to notice the other schmuck around that was close by.
C.J. looked down at the other post and at the other guy. This guy's a demon? Demon what? Piano player? Oh man, if he is I gotta talk to this guy. Maybe he knows how to play some Jerry Lee Lewis! he thought. How blissfully oblivious yet savvy about how this goes . . . personally he hoped if this guy really WAS a demon that he pick on Arell. He and Dundee both got their butts kicked enough, let the walking arsenal get manhandled for a freaking change!
Dundee, on the other hand walked into the safe zone. "Oh cool. So the brown plants are deadly and the white plants are okay. Now I think I'm getting the hang of this!" Dundee said with a smile . . . and walked right into a tree. " . . . or not."

Artemis eyed the man and then smiled, bowing politely. "I'm afraid I'll have to decline your offer, good sir. We have things to do, places to see. You understand, I hope." He walked right past the demon on all fours, followed by Kesshou and Crystal.
Crystal stopped right on the other side of the barrier and waited for the rest of the group to come into the safe zone. She knew that Artemis had a rather decent judgement on people.
Kesshou walked over to Kai, her wings fluttered as she stood in front of the girl. "Nice wings." Her tail flicked, a bit agitated from this realm already.

At this point Robin focused on getting Skuld into what Kai referred to as the 'safe zone'.... sounded like a good sign to him.
"So, how do we get out of here after reaching the village?... and do you know who that is...?"
Robin asked his second question in a lower tone and after he and Skuld approached Red Cardinal.

As Robin walked holding on to her toward Kai, Skuld held on to Tim's waist a little more firmly and rested her head on the vigilante's shoulder, "Again, thank you for ... keeping me from going face first into the muck. You really are a sweetheart."

Kai looked at the guy, and at first glance this figure made no connection to her. She wasn't really able to tell, and really wouldn't without a close examination of his front view. Can't tell by someone's a** who they really are.
The unnamed figure glanced at Kai, made eye contact for a moment before shifting his look over to the figure standing closest to the outside edge of the "safe" Zone. He moved quickly, stealthily without warning to the man grabbing him by the vest shoving him a good distance from the safe zone grappling with his soul to pin it and his body. The man slowly turned, black wings unfurled from his body resembling the clay as they got bigger, a tail, long and whip like, while his skin became gray, eyes of yellow and black, and fangs. Using this mortal to draw out the others.
Kai's glare trying to decipher who the man was quickly turned to realization and she jolted forward to the edge of the safe zone stopping. "THINK, what do I do, what do I...." Worried she stood there, would he threaten to take Arell if they approached? Or would he take the others with. She reached for her belt and pulled out a batarang, ready to use trying to get some aim. She could almost see him, and because of this, and her sight, she was sure the others would not unless they had extra sensory skills such as x-ray vision, or heightened hearing or smell.
"DAMMIT."
