The Amazon really didn't have good memories for Saya. But as she would learn soon enough, there was no place that would leave any happy memories for hunters. The Amazon was wet and humid, from the witner Antartic .. Saya could feel her body whirling in turmoil, almost giving her a tangibly sick feeling, as one did when they got sea-sick or motion sick.
That was Caelius. Saya had come in during the time period he had been missing and only glimped him during the time when Sandy and Barney ..
One hand holding back a sickening lump in her throat, she held it back as she packed some supplies in the ribboned fanny pack around her waist.

Pretty soon, the supplies were running out. Saya found herself with two communication devices in her hand. She stared at it a little dumbly.
She wasn't going to talk to herself.
"Would anyone like a communications device?"
Saya tapped the nearest hunter on the shoulder, which turned out to be Candace. She helplessly gestured to the two supplies on hand. "I have two communication devices .. Would you happen to need one of these?" It was hard to judge, what was necessary amongst the supplies. Healing, a method of contact, a sure-fire way to attack .. It was one object that would save them at life or death's moment.

Candace was inspecting the fear scanner when someone tapped her on the shoulder. She blinked, glancing over her shoulder to see who was trying to get her attention. Oh, the poor thing had picked up two of the same device. Why did she go and do that? How silly of her. She chuckled, looking down at the dagger and the scanner. A communication device would be nice to have...she'd be able to keep in contact with the leaders, with Clarice. With other hunters and trainees. Where was Aria, she wondered. She hadn't seen Aria since they were back on Deus. Was..was she okay? She couldn't bear to lose her own leader as well.
After a moment's thought she smiled, a forced smile at best, and offered out the modified fear scanner. "Sure, why not. Would you like this in return? I'd offer up the dagger but my defense sucks so..I could use the barrier." She chuckled, shrugging. "You're a moon and all, but maybe you can find someone to trade this off to for something better."

One thing she liked about Deryk was that he was so easy to abuse, and his whining was usually more amusing and cute than annoying. It was almost fun to abuse him.
"Surviving is step 1," She made her way away from the pile of supplies to make way for others, grabbing the other Deather by his wrist and practically dragging him away from her, "Can't do anything if you're dead. Can't die yet. Still have to finish using the hair dyes from last Christmas."

The jungle. Sherry shuddered at the temperature change and the memories. It seemed they were still in for hell. Of course they were. Sherry knew better than to expect anything else. She wasn't even afraid anymore. She couldn't be. Like the others, she would just have to press on.
At least they wouldn't have to go in empty handed. Supplies were good, and always better than nothing. Sherry stepped up, and reached into the pile. She couldn't really be picky, everyone else seemed to be hurrying, and Sherry didn't blame them.
She grabbed one item, and looked at it long enough to realize it was a Communications device. Could be useful if she got lost. Though lost would likely mean dead...
Sherry shook the thought from her head and pocketed the device.

Sherry made sure to grab something else off of the table before stepping aside and letting others have a go. She kind of wished she'd taken a better look at what she grabbed, but the table was busy so she hadn't.
She now had 2 Communications devices.
"Um....if anyone would like a Communications device, I have an extra..." Perhaps she could make a trade...

Oh great this place again, Tori thought once she had stepped through the portal, but at least it was a whole lot better in terms of temperature as she really didn't like the cold all that much. Her chatty weapon still talking up a storm as she saw the look that Caelius gave them and she was not all that happy to see him too, she wanted to prove that she wasn't a wasted space or cattle. Even Aklin's questions had changed from snow and ice questions to jungle type.
Well at least they had a little time to at least get some supplies before heading out to do who know what, probably to be more bait and expecting to die and she wasn't going to die or at least not yet.
Tori had picked out some barrier daggers and was a little excited since they would come in handy later on. Aklin just snorted a little since he didn't want to have his hunter handle any other weapons but knew the dagger would be useful but he still didn't like it.

Aklin said a little sour.
Ok, but the dagger will come in handy so don't worry too much. I'm not replacing you. I prefer you any day, Lin. Tori replied to her weapon that he stopped grumbling and set back to asking questions.
Reaching for more supplies she picked up another dagger and Aklin snorted more. Don't you even go there, Lin. We can always trade with someone for something different than daggers. Aklin just sighed as he knew his hunter was right.

The muggy weather and heat made Harrison nervous. Wasn't the Sahara, though. Too green. But he could hear distant noises, and the hum of bugs... bugs in small quantities was okay. He wasn't bug-phobic all of a sudden. Anything he could crush, smack, or ward off.
Still. He'd kind have been hoping they were headed back to base. No such luck.
Harrison looked at the array of gadgets. ...Limited resources, huh. He picked up bandages. Like Rep, he knew the value of the things.

The daggers looked really amazing. He hadn't used a knife since the trial, but there was no thing as too much stabbing. Everything else looked kinda techy. And he wasn't much for jewelry.
Ultimately, Clarice's advice rung clear in his mind.
He grabbed even more bandaids. Clarice had said to stack up on the things, and he was stacked. Harrison also still had his bandaids from Allan, and the beginner tin he'd brought along. Basically, his pockets were overflowing with bandaid tins. He was going to be the best field medic ever. And definitely make it out of there. And make sure at least another couple sons of bitches did too.

Clerise heard some blonde girl asking for a swap. "Hey!" She ran up to her with a wave, waggling her modified Fear scanner at the other hunter. "I got a scanner to toss at you if you wanna trade. I can't stand not being able to talk to people." The redhead gave a lopsided grin. "I'm Clerise, by the way!"

The warmth was welcomed, the humidity not so much; at the very least, Reine felt like she was thawing out a little, and that was nice. She took a moment to stretch, enjoying the weather, before catching sight of Caelius in the distance. The atmosphere, however, was vastly different from how the antarctic base had been: relaxed and even a little comfortable, amongst other things.
The Amazon base had a distinctly Caelius feel: somewhat chaotic, very angry, and there was also, as expected, a sense of urgency, possibly because this particular division leader seemed like he could and would kill you at any time. It was, oddly, easier to fall back into this routine- being busy meant you had less time to overthink things- and with a smile, Reine headed over to one of the tents to collect supplies.Inventory! 1x Communications Device: Cell phones do not work wherever the trainees are traveling, this is the only way for two trainees to get in contact with each other.

Sherry blinked and smiled at the girl that had run up to her. "A scanner? That would be great! I have no need of two Comm Devices, and a scanner could be handy." Sherry handed the Communications device to Clerise and accepted the scanner. "I'm Sherry," she said with a nod.

A familiar face! One that had run into her earlier, in the Sahara; Reine had only barely managed to catch a glimpse of her since, and Clerise had seemed angry at her when they first met.
"Hey," she called out, apprehensively, making her way closer to the other trainee and tapping her on the shoulder. "..Remember me?"
.. Okay, maybe that had been a lame thing to say, of course Clerise remembered her, after all she'd almost gotten her killed. During that.. last mission. Which probably also explained why Clerise had been angry at her, and...

Awkwardly Reine reached towards the table, grabbing the first thing she could, and stuffing it in her pocket.
"So, um, you ready for the mission?" Stop it, she scolded herself, stop being so lame, it's not like she's going to eat you up or something, the most she'll do is punch you? Or something? Rep had punched her the first time they met, after that mission, and it had somehow escalated into a spar, but Reine was determined not to do that her, not while they were on another mission, and not when Caelius was around, she needed to be on best behaviour--
The smile on her face faltered just a little, for a moment, as she nervously reached up to touch her hair. The shortness still surprised her, sometimes; she couldn't twirl her hair the way she used to, anymore.
