“Those who dare bring harm to my friends, my village, and my way of life…”

xxxxYamatano waited in patience for Yasashii to write his letter, admiring the kanji engraved in his metal plate. Perhaps when he arrived back in Suna, he would begin studying more on how seals worked. He would have to think of a new seal to purchase on his next trip to Suna.

Yamatano smiled contently - not that it was noticeable, given that it was beneath the fabric of his mask - as Yasashii handed him the letter and the fat purse of coins. Yamatano fit both into his now-bulging pouch at his right hip.
"Indeed it is. Thank you very much, Yasashii-san. I'll be sure that this gets to Zdura as soon as it can. Now, if you'll excuse me, I hope Lord Mizukage won't be too cross with me at how long this mission has taken."

And with that, Yamatano walked out of the shop, and began to run down the street, towards the gates of Sunagakure, spirits high at the profitability - in mission information, battle advantage, and in gold - of his stop.

It had been a month since the reconstruction of Sunagakure and Axel had found it impossible to find someone in the village to teach him the art of sealing. Without it he would not be able to battle correctly seeing as he still could not afford the fee to learn his family techniques as it was required of him. Along the streets of Sunagakure he had heard of a small sealing shoppe in which he might be able to fix his sealing problem, hopefully. No one had told Axel if the man taught techniques or not, but it was worth the trip to try and ask; the worst thing that could happen was that the man said no, but Axel had a pretty good idea of what he would do to try and convince him to do it.
He stood outside of the doors of the emporium and gently pushed them open; expecting some type of bell thing to ring as soon as he walked in, but to his surprise there was no sound. “Hello?” He would call out, hoping someone would answer him, but half-expecting to not find anyone in the small store. Whether he found someone inside or not, Axel would sit in one of the chairs that where there and would wait for anyone to come out and greet him or at least to tell him that they are closed. He had spent so long searching for someone to teach him sealing, because he didn’t want to teach it to himself, that he had half given up on finding a teacher, so his moral was pretty low, even for a genin.

As Axel entered the room, he would find nobody present. However, as the door closed behind him, a voice arose from what by all appearances, was a chunk of wood sitting atop the desk at the far end of the room.

"Hello, and welcome to Yasashii's Sealing Emporium!" it spoke in a cheerful tone, a bit odd for a chunk of wood. "Feel free to have a look around. On each wall you'll find framed images, containing seals. Simply charge the red seal on each frame to hear about the seal." Indeed, as it said, there were frames hanging in lines across all but the back wall, displaying seals of all kinds, and on each frame was a red trigger seal, if one was knowledgeable enough to recognize it. "I apologize if I'm not here at the moment, but I should be back soon. Have a look around in the meantime, and I'll see you soon." With that, the block of wood ceased in it's speech, and went back to it's normal state of utter silence.

Sorry about the shortish post, and not having Yasashii there, but I've got to run soon and figured this would be a good way to let you get another post in in the meantime. The seals on the wall will activate more recordings if you use them, and there's one for every seal I intend to keep, so if you want to use those just "Press the button" and I'll do up a quick blurb about whichever you like. His sign does still exist, though I'm considering changing some prices, and we'll just pretend any seals that don't exist anymore aren't on it, as well as new ones are.

Axel was startled by the random voice coming from somewhere in the store that he couldn’t quite precise. He knew now that the frames had seals and that they would be able to tell him what did each of them did, but he didn’t think that as a conventional method of learning anything, it just wasn’t fun like learning what each did from an actual teacher; that was part of the learning experience after all. The red head just sat there and waited, shifting his eyes around the rather small store trying to find something interesting to keep himself occupied, but there was something bubbling inside of him that told him to check the frames, that in the absence of something to do, learning at least what each seal did was something good to do, it showed interest to, or so he thought, and eagerness to learn, which would always be something that a prospect teacher would be looking for in a student. What he wanted right now was to show the shop owner, presumably a man by the name of Yasashii that he could be an excellent student if the chance would be given to him.

He got up from the chair and walked toward the walls, venturing toward the first one of the seals, one that was called Hiku, he placed his hands on it and tried to see if anything would happen by just that, if nothing did happen, he just used his chakra to attempt to get it to speak, unsure of anything that it might or might not get from it.

As Axel charged chakra into the seal, it pulled in as much as it needed, and then stopped, the seal flashing a soft glow. [Drained 3 Points] "Hiku, the pulling seal." the same voice spoke again, but this time it was the frame Axel had charged speaking. "This seal is designed to pull an object towards itself when activated, and the object can be designated simply by writing a word in the center of the seal. This can be applied in almost any way you can think of, from retrieving a lost kunai, to making your own fly more accurately."

"I use them to keep my door closed, and sand off my floors."
As the short speech ended, the last sentence came in a slightly different tone, and from a completely different location. That being a man sitting behind the previously vacant desk. "Sorry I wasn't here when you came in. been a busy few weeks. Nomiya Yasashii at your service." the man smiled, standing up from his only recently taken seat and bowing ever so slightly, a wide grin on his face. He had slipped in after the boy arrived, without setting off the entry recording, and just taken a seat to observe, as he found interesting to do at times.

He wasn't kidding before either. Ever since things calmed down in the village, his own life had become hectic. After so much damage was done to nearly every major building in town, both village officials and private citizens wanted their buildings reinforced with seals, both to make the foundations stronger, repel all different forms of attack, and what have you. Not exactly what he'd had in mind when he opened up his shop, but he wouldn't complain about having paying customers. A Kyouka array covering a skyscraper was, after all, quite expensive.

"So, what can I do for you? Forgive the assumption, but you don't look quite old enough to have the sort of interests most of my recent customers do. At least I assume you probably don't own all that much real estate?" he said with a tiny upturn of his lips and a short chuckle, circling his desk and leaning back against it, watching the boy curiously. Adults often all wanted the same thing, but younger minds often had interesting puzzles to solve, and Yasashii did enjoy a good puzzle. Especially after the deadening monotony business had become since the attack.

After hearing the explanation of the seal, and the voice that came shortly after it of how he used it, Axel was startled and turned around rather quickly to see where the voice was coming from this time. The shop had a strange way of making voices come from somewhere else and it wouldn't surprise him if it was yet another seal making sounds, but at seeing another human being he got scared, not because of the fact he was there, but because he never heard him come in. The redhead just stared at him for only a brief moment letting the shock pass before he would address Yasashii. “So you are Yasashii? You must be like some super sealer ninja or something right?” The words came out naturally, as if it were a child that was talking to Yasashii. “You must be to own a store that specializes in sealing I guess.” He left it there and walked toward Yasashii and sat down in the chair which he had been sitting prior to even noticing that he was there.

Axel shook his head lightly, answering the question of the real estate, why would he own any in the first place? He was just fourteen after all; there was no conceivable way he would be able to do it, right? “I was wondering-“ Axel paused and took a good look at the shop one last time before asking the sealer his question “-could you teach me?” He asked, though unless Yasashii was clear with what the boy meant, he wouldn’t understand, so Axel would clarify. “To own a shop like this you must be a great sealer, there is no doubt. I’ve been looking in the village for someone to mentor me in the art of sealing, but thus far I’ve found no one, then I was told to come here and ask for your assistance, that maybe you would be able to help me, so do you think I could become your student?” Axel was practically begging the man to take him in, he didn’t care what the price was, he just wished to learn from the best sealer in the village, and in the absence of well-known sealers, he would have to go to a shop owner to fit the job.

Yasashii chuckled at the boy's first statement, though he made no other move to respond. It was obvious to the man that the boy wasn't finished, and still had something to ask, so he let the rather odd assumption slide for now. His gaze deepened a bit though, examining the boy more intently after his next question. Teach him? It was a simple question, and something Yasashii had planned to offer when he opened the shop, but the way he asked, the boy wasn't looking for someone to show him a few seals and be done with it. He was looking for a mentor, a master. Simply put, asking for an apprenticeship.

Rather than answer as the boy finished, Yasashii leaned back a bit more against the desk, eyes examining the boy. His poise, his facial features and setting, even his hands, and taking his time in doing so. It wasn't a simple request the boy was making, even if he didn't know it himself. An apprenticeship meant not only teaching the child, but imparting the knowledge of the master to them, ensuring that the student would one day rival, or even surpass, his teacher. Yasashii had, on a few occasions, had the opportunity to pass on some of his trade, but to take on an apprentice had never even crossed his mind. In Oto it could never have worked, but here? He did have the appropriate atmosphere for it now, with the shop.

"You're asking for a difficult thing." the man finally spoke, slowly and in a warning tone. "I could teach you a few things and send you on your way, but that's not what you asked, is it? If I take you on as a full student, it will be an apprenticeship, and I will expect you to follow any rules I set forth. It won't be easy for you, and I will be expecting a lot." Yasashii continued, pushing off of the desk before circling back around and taking his seat once again.

"I normally charge a set fee for teaching any seal. If you wish to be an apprentice, you won't pay that fee. Instead, I will expect a quarter of your mission income, which will be used to pay for the supplies needed to teach you. When you are not on missions you will come here, and assist with the shop. You will not perform any self study in sealing, but will instead learn what I assign you, when I assign it. Simply put, you will work for everything you get from me." Throughout his entire dialogue, Yasashii stared, unblinking, into the boy's eyes. He knew he was asking a lot of this deal, but it was no more than any other apprenticeship in a civilian business asked, and more importantly, it was a test of the boy's determination. It took a special mind to truly excel at anything, especially a complicated art like sealing, and one that would easily turn away at this wouldn't be able to reach the heights Yasashii would expect in an apprentice.

"Sit." he said after a few seconds had passed, pointing towards the tattooing chair in the center of the room, honestly the most comfortable as well. "I don't want a snap decision on this. Think about it, and think hard. When you've made your choice, let me know." After a couple more seconds of staring, Yasashii broke his gaze from the boy, instead turning to his desk and producing a sheet of paper, inkwell, and quill, with which he began to write, devoting his entire attention to the page as if the boy were not present. In essence, allowing the boy privacy to make his choice.

Whether what he asked was difficult or not didn’t matter; Axel knew that the road of a shinobi, that the path of life wasn’t one that would be easy, therefor he didn’t expect anything to be easy. All he wanted at this point was to be taught by the best, no matter the cost to him whether that cost was physical, mental or if it would down right dig into his pocket. It was a fair cost to pay in the end, but Axel would think about it none the less. His resolve to be taught, his thirst for the knowledge that the man in front of him may or may not instill on to him was what he had to weigh, was the amount of money and the loss of some freedom truly worth it?

Hell yes it was. Axel sat down and spent about a full three minutes considering his options. His hands rested on top of his lap as the single option went through his mind. He was going to say yes, there was no reason for him not to. If the quarter fee was going to pay for the materials, which he assumed also included jutsu scrolls and such, it was a pretty fair trade. “Working for what you learn is something that is alien to most students in the Academy.” He said to Yasashii, looking up at him, his red locks of hair falling on his forehead, the ponytail resting firmly on his back, his red eyes now examining Yasashii. “Even to me at this very moment, I’m not sure about what you mean by working for everything I’m sure you mean that everything I do will have a lesson in there somewhere, that every action I take, unlike in the academy will actually mean something, and if this is what you mean you don’t need to say anything else, there is nothing left for me to think.”

His tone was firm, his body was solid, if there would have been a hint of doubt in his voice, by taking a look at his body language Yasashii would see that there was no hesitation. “A quarter of my income is fine by me; I’m willing to pay any price so long as I get to learn the craft from a Sealing Master, no, from the best sealer in Sunagakure, which is arguably you. I have but two questions-“ He cut off and got up from his chair, staring at Yasashii straight in the eye. “When do I start, and what do I call you?”

Yasashii's eyes lazily drifted upward as the boy started speaking, but soon returned to his page. To the child it might seem as if he were being ignored, but Yasashii was quite accustomed to listening as he worked. Though if the boy ceased and returned to his thinking as a result rather than continuing, he wouldn't be displeased. The boy had spoken up again far too quickly for Yasashii's tastes, as if instead of considering, he had simply sat until he felt Yasashii would accept the delay, most likely planning the speech he still seemed to be producing.

As the boy drew his speech to a close, Yasashii looked up to meet the boy's eyes, and delved into them again for a short while, before sighing. "Very well. As I said before, you are to follow any instructions I give you to the letter. Some would also add without question, but I will not. If you do not understand something, you are to say so. You are never, however, to attempt anything you do not understand without my permission or supervision. That act has led to the deaths of many beginning sealers."

Going silent again for a few moments to let the boy process that, Yasashii added the finishing touches to what he was writing, and set aside his quill. Producing a clean senbon needle from a desk drawer, he then pierced his wrist, letting blood flow down the needle and into his nearly emptied inkwell. After a few seconds he removed the needle, wiped it clean with a bit of cloth, which was then wrapped around his wrist to stop any further bloodflow, and held out the needle to the boy, gesturing towards the inkwell, an indication for him to do the same. "I need a sample of your blood." he said, in way of a vague explanation. Normally he'd have said more, to dissuade any worries the boy might have about the use of it, but as he had already added his own to the mix, there were very few uses that could harm the boy and not himself as well, though the boy was unlikely to understand any of that just yet anyways.

Once the boy had provided the blood, Yasashii passed him another cloth, and took back the needle, swirling it in the pot to mix the liquids before wiping it clean on his own cloth and setting it aside. Taking up the quill once more, he tapped it on the pot to clear the tip before dipping it into the mixture, and signing his name across the bottom of the paper he'd been writing in the same elegant scrawl the entire document was written in. With his name signed, he spun the contract around, and handed the quill to the boy. "This is an apprenticeship contract, stating basically what I have already said. If you still wish to proceed, sign your name under mine." he explained, tapping the paper where the boy was to sign before crossing his arms on the desk. "The blood doesn't do anything by the way. This is a legal contract, not a sealed one. I just find that signing your name in your own blood means a lot more than simple ink." he added, to ease any worries the boy might feel of being entrapped by the contract. Well, any more so than a legal contract allowed for. He was signing his life away, but his life couldn't be taken for breaking it, as a sealed contract would. Or so he'd heard, as he'd never seen one in actual use. If his beliefs didn't say it was foolish to call anything impossible, he'd doubt they had ever existed.

For now though, he was again an observer. Just like making the boy consider his options, this was another test. Would the boy immediately sign? Would he take the time to read the full contract first? Or would he change his mind and not sign at all, or some combination thereof? Well, the answer would likely determine what the boy's first lesson would be at any rate.

Axel listened to what Yasashii warned him about the starting points in sealing, he took that as an introduction to the class, sort of what happens when you start taking a chemistry class when they take you for the first time to the lab, they explain what you should not do, and why. In this case for his own safety he should not attempt to do anything on his own, and it was something understandable, after all there might be a misfire of a seal, it might be drawn wrong, or something of the sort and it may conclude in a horrible fatality. “ A sample of my blood?” Axel asked as he saw his soon-to-be new teacher take out blood with a senbon, he knew then what it was he meant by that.

He stared at the needle for a few seconds and then grabbed it, following the same thing that Yasashii had done. At the feeling of the needle going through his skin, he hissed and closed his eyes in a wince, quickly regaining his composure and emptied the blood in the inkwell. Then he cleaned the needle and went on to treat himself to stop the bleeding just like the man before him had done. Axel was a little nervous at this point with the use of the blood, but this soon dissipated as Yasashii explained what it was for; it was just for show in a way. “So the blood is just for show? Well… Not for show. More like symbolic?” he’d ask yasashii but didn’t really expect an answer.

He grabbed the contract and read through it to make sure that there was nothing on it that the two of them had not spoken about prior to this moment. He wanted to make sure that he was getting a fair deal that this man wasn’t going to use him for his own personal gain, though that wasn’t likely. It wasn’t like Axel to doubt a man’s word, but this was a contract sealed with blood, so to speak, so it was always smart to be cautious, even if the blood didn’t truly mean anything. After reading it, if everything was in order, he went on and signed the contract without saying a word.

"Symbolic is an excellent word, yes." Yasashii responded, leaning back in his seat as the boy read the contract. As he had said, the contract contained mainly the rules he had already listed. That the apprentice, referred to in the contract as "The second signed" as Yasashii hadn't gotten his name yet, was to follow any and all instructions given to him by Yasashii, "The first signed", regarding his training in the art of sealing. He was also to act not only as a student, but as apprentice to the shop, listed by name. He was not to reveal any secrets revealed to him pertaining to his training or the operations of the shop to anyone, until such time as he took on his own apprentice, or in some manner gained possession of the shop for himself. The required fee of 25% of his total income from village missions was also listed. In return Yasashii was required to provide training appropriate to the boy's skill level in the art of sealing and any supplementary arts thereof that he was privy to. The contract stated clearly that, just as the boy was not allowed to reveal Yasashii's secrets, he was not allowed to reveal the boy's, should they come up, nor act in any way to harm the boy, by action or inaction, where his training or apprenticeship was concerned.

The contract was thorough, and clear, and ensured that nobody involved could come to any harm from the existence of it, except perhaps by breaking it. Near to the end it also stated that the contract could be voided at any time, should Yasashii feel that the boy was not meeting his expectations, and therefore worthy of the position, or by the boy himself if he felt Yasashii was taking advantage of the deal without providing the expected benefits.

Yasashii smiled slightly as the boy finished reading and finally set the quill to the page. Had he merely skimmed the page, or not read it at all, what came next would be a harsh reprimand. Instead the boy had met Yasashii's hope for that moment, by not diving in blind. Taking up the paper after the boy had signed it, Yasashii skimmed his name, and nodded, slipping the paper immediately into a drawer of the desk. Later, he would place it in his strongbox, perhaps frame a copy if the boy did well to keep in the shop. For now though, he had to deal with the boy himself. Axel, now he'd gained the boy's name.

"Well, Axel. Firstly, I am glad you chose to read the contract properly. As I hope you recognized, I could have written anything there and claimed it said something else entirely, to trap you in some way or other. The lesson there is to never walk into anything blindly. You can apply that to your training with me, your life as a ninja, or even daily life around the village, both literally and figuratively. Information is more important than anything else. If you don't know what every part of a seal does, you do not attempt to create it, much less prime or activate it. As I said, that mistake has cost many sealers their lives." Pausing for a moment, Yasashii stood again, circling around to lean on the back of his chair.

"I said you would work for everything you gain. Your interpretation of that, while an excellent idea which I will expect you to hold to, was wrong. I meant it quite literally. I will teach you one technique or seal. Before I teach you the next, I will expect you to list for me several unique ways of utilizing that seal. As you learn more, I will begin to expect your examples to begin combining seals for additional effects. Once you are familiar with the seals, I will probably also ask you to create examples of them, rather than just describing the theory. Obviously any method I explain or show you myself will not be a valid answer. To become a master of sealing, you must allow your mind to reach beyond the basics that anyone can achieve, and create something new."

Stopping again, Yasashii stood straight, face twisting into an odd smirk. "But enough speech making. I believe you asked what you should call me. I honestly don't care. Call me anything you like, I will only require that the proper respect be given." Yasashii's face shifted again then, into a wide smile as he raised his hands slightly to is sides. "Axel Storn, Welcome to Yasashii's Sealing Emporium." It was the same words as had been spoken earlier by the recording, but this time the tone and meaning were completely different. Having signed the contract, Axel was now a part of the shop, rather than a customer.

Hearing Yasashii’s first statement, the first thing that came to mind was something that they were told in the academy; which was that a Shinobi must always know his surroundings. If a shinobi hoped to survive he must be aware of the situations that he is in, and weigh his possibilities one against the other to see what the best outcome would be, what was the correct course of action and more so than that, which action would bring the mission to a success, and which one would make more of the comrades survive. The redhead just watched Yasashii as he delivered the next portion of his speech to him, it was a nice little system of learning he had set forth there, but Axel had to wonder what would happen if he didn’t manage to get a way to use said seal, or technique.

He now had a question, but he would wait until the man finished talking just in case he didn’t like being interrupted. It would be unwise to leave a bad impression on Yasashii this early on in the training (before it had even begun), so he would wait. As Yasashii drew to a close and welcomed him to the store, not literally but metaphorically, he couldn’t help but grin. He had a smile so wide he felt like an idiot, but he couldn’t help himself, after almost a month of searching he had finally found someone that was willing, and able, to teach him the art of sealing. With what he had said, he felt like he was part of the store, which he thought was the entire point of it.

“Thank you for taking me as your student Yasashii-Sensei.” He said bowing his head to the man, trying to contain his excitement. “I swear I’ll do you proud.” He carried on to say as he went back up, placing his arms behind his head, the expression on his face shifting from the serious one he had to a more absent minded one. “I have to ask you something though…” Axel put his hands down and let them rest by his side. “What happens if I can’t come up with an example? Does the lesson end there? Do you supply me with some alternate use so I can draw my idea from there? Or what?”

"You'd better." Yasashii answered in a jokingly serious tone at Axel's pronouncement. He'd already made it clear, bth in his introductory statements and the contract itself that he expected the boy to do just that, or the arrangement would be terminated. He'd give some leeway of course, but if the boy didn't give it his best effort, well, that would be the end. He didn't voice those thoughts though, as they had already been made plenty clear, and the boy had continued on to ask a question. Before answering, Yasashii moved out from behind the desk, taking a seat in the room's central chair and gesturing for the boy to claim one of the waiting chairs. He could move it if he wished, or sit along the wall.

Once the boy was seated, Yasashii began to speak. "I have had very little ninja training, despite your earlier assumption. As exclusively ninja skills go, I'm probably no better than you are, except for where age grants benefits. I do however have some knowledge of the ninja world. In the academy, when you were taught your first few jutsu, the teacher would show you a jutsu, explain what it did, and how it worked, and then tell you to try it. You would then practice the jutsu, and as they were simple ones, often complete the task by the end of the lesson time. After that, your teachers only rarely returned to those jutsu, choosing instead to focus on a quick education, leaving further focused training to your specific team leader."

"That then, is what you consider a lesson, because it is what you are used to. That is not however, what a lesson with me will entail. I will teach you how the technique or seal I plan to show you works, before you even see it. As I am fond of history, I will likely also explain some of the technique's history. I will then provide you with writing materials, which you will be expected to use not to create the seal in question, but to dissect the theory of it. How it works, why it works, and what makes it work. Once you have succeeded in that, I will allow you to draw the seal, at which time I will examine it to ensure it is correctly made. Assuming the seal is safe, you will then be allowed to prime and activate it."

Stopping for a moment, Yasashii caught his breath while Axel absorbed the information he was given. Expecting the boy to follow his usual method of learning and designing new seals was probably asking a lot, but it was also the best way he knew to ensure the boy knew the techniques well, and would both be able to choose when best to use them, and also later create his own new seals, without having to revisit the theory as most crafters did.

"Any number of those points could be considered a lesson. The main lesson part will be in understanding the technique. I do not consider completion of the task the end of a lesson, but understanding of it. Utilizing the seal could then be considered your reward for lesson completion. The next task however, planning ways to use the technique, is not a lesson, but could be considered as homework. The lesson does not end if you fail your homework, because it is already complete. The next lesson however, will not start until you have done so. If you can't come up with an example, you need simply to take your time. Think about it, how it could be useful. Create scenarios in your mind, problems to be solved. And if all else fails, stop. Think about something else. Often the best ideas arrive when you're not thinking about them at all."

Giving Axel another minute to consider that information, Yasashii leaned back in the rather comfortable chair, watching the boy from a corner of his eye. As soon as the boy seemed to have rationalized everything, he would lean forward again, asking "Now, do you have any more questions?".

Axel just listened to what he had to say, it made sense, and best of all, if he couldn’t think about it on the spot he would technically have it as homework, sure it wasn’t something he would enjoy, but he would learn regardless, and that was the goal in the end, that’s why he was there after all. “History of the techniques sounds pretty interesting; I didn’t know there was such a thing.” He told Yasashii crossing his arms, staring right at him. “I don’t have any questions though… Well, one.”

With that Axel paused and took a few steps around the shop and then faced toward Yasashii. “When do we start training? Or well practicing.”

"Everything has a history." Yasashii chuckled, leaning back in the chair as he regarded the eager lad before him. He probably should have realized from the start that the boy would want to start immediately, but as it was, he didn't have the materials. Sure, he could probably teach most things from memory, even write up scrolls for the boy himself, but that wouldn't be the best method. It was best to learn from the proper material, and then expand outwards. Not try to learn from someone's notes. No, that wouldn't do at all. And besides that the boy needed study materials, a notebook, specifically.

"I'll have to prepare some materials before you can start with sealing, since we'll be doing the full course rather than a simple show and tell." Pausing for a moment, Yasashii considered the boy. Getting him all excited and then turning him away, even temporarily, was a harsh move. "I suppose I can teach you a useful little jutsu though. It'd helped me a lot with planning out arrays in the past, creating new seals even."

With that, the man leaned forward, unfolding from the chair and rising to a full stand as his right hand lifted into a single hand seal. "Chakura Ezu." he intoned, before breaking the seal and dragging his hand upwards. As his hand moved, thin trails of visible chakra followed his fingertips, hanging in the air as his hand passed. His hand spun, twisted, swung and flew through the air, more lines adding themselves to the floating mass as it slowly became a discernible image. In one corner, a common storage seal. In another a complicated appearing mathematic equation. A fully three dimensional geometric shape filled a third corner while a fourth seemed to have taken the shape of a complicated tattoo, and in the center was a simplistic drawing of a face, 3D tongue sticking out at Axel. One last sweep of his hand through the mess removed all the extra lines, leaving only the shapes floating in the air, before Yasashii waved his arm in a full sweep, slashing through them all as they vanished entirely.

Lifting his arm again, he began to speak, only one finger trailing chakra now as he wrote out his own words, leaving them to hang in the air for Axel to read, much like a floating blackboard. "Chakura Ezu, Chakra Drawing. The jutsu itself is quite simple. By channeling chakra through your fingers, you create a "Film" of visible chakra, which slips off as you drag it through the air, creating lines. You can stop the chakra flow, or increase it as you like, or even change it's color. The default color is that of your own chakra. As I just displayed, you can also remove bits as you like, or even move them around. It is your chakra, and will obey you."

Stopping there, Yasashii sat down once more, leaving the words hanging in the air. "This jutsu doesn't have many uses, but I find it useful in my work. As you learn sealing, you will make many mistakes. A line drawn just a little bit wrong, a misplaced part, or even a torn bit of paper. As you make mistakes, the amount of waste grows. First ink, though you can find alternatives such as a pencil to cover for that, though pencil doesn't work for seals, then paper, which can't be replaced. Using the jutsu for your practice instead allows you to make as many mistakes as you like, and even make adjustments, without wasting any materials at all. I'm not going to require you to list any alternative uses for this one, though you can if you like, as it's a good practice to keep."

"So, how about you give it a try?"
Yasashii finally stopped, smiling at the boy and waving his hands towards him in a gesture indicating he should try the jutsu. He hadn't gone into much depth on the workings of it, but really if was a fairly basic exercise, simple alterations to the methods children were taught when learning to access their chakra. Heck, he rather expected the boy could pull it off within the next few minutes if he applied himself. And face it, vague instructions were an excellent test of a student's mind.

~

Alright, we've covered the IC rules, let's go over the OOC. They don't apply to this jutsu, but when working with Yasashii on seals, there's a couple extra rules. One, no learning bonuses apply. And two, one learning post per actual post, unless I say otherwise. Yasashii is supposed to be teaching, not giving basic instructions and then wandering off while you struggle through it alone. It should be an educational experience for all four of us following that rule.

Quote:
Chakura Ezu [Chakra Drawing]
Rank: E
Type: Ninjutsu | Supplementary
Description:
A simple form of chakra manipulation, the user channels chakra through their fingertip, dragging it through the air. As the finger moves, a trail of visible chakra is left behind. Using this, the user can draw out any image they would like, and it will remain in place until it is dispelled or the user leaves the area (Thread). The chakra by default takes on the color of the user's chakra, but can be adjusted at will to suit the user's needs.
(Costs only one chakra point.)
