Emily's crimson eyes burned with a fury that was only present when she was concentrating. She threw the Firebird into 3rd gear and accelerated up next to the Mustang.I can kick the crap out of whatever engine you have under that hood, hun. Emily thought to herself. She had a secret weapon that she had installed into her baby a few months ago and was dying to try it out. She decided against it and pressed the gas pedal down a bit more. The Firebird revved its engine as it veered in front of the Mustang. Emily gunned it as she threw the Firebird into 4th gear, leaving everyone else in the dust. She changed the song so that Carry On Wayward Son was blaring from her souped up speakers. Emily rubbed her hand on the dashboard and said,"Good, Baby."

Elaine smirked and threw the mustang out of over drive into neutral and drifted her car on the turn of a dime. Then she threw it into reverse and floored it. It looked like she was driving directly at the Vette and Impala but the inertia had her going the same speed until she pressed the gas and passed the Firebird while she was driving backwards.
She gave Emily a wave of three fingers as she passed with Evanescence oozing out of her car from a state of the art system. She the streamed passed the Firebird and moved in front. After several hundred feet ahead of the Firebird, Elaine threw the gears into neutral again and drifted around the right way.
A beeping noise emitted from an i-pod jack on the dashboard. A police car was withing 1000 yards. She decelerated and opened her window to signal to the others to slow down to the regulated speed limit so they didn't get pulled over. She changed the Evanescence to her song of choice. Taylor Swift's Safe and Sound. She started singing with it while she kept the window down her ponytail whipping behind in the wind.
I remember tears streaming down your face When I said, "I'll never let you go" When all those shadows almost killed your light I remember you said, "Don't leave me here alone" But all that's dead and gone and passed tonight
Just close your eyes The sun is going down You'll be alright No one can hurt you now Come morning light You and I'll be safe and sound
Don't you dare look out your window darling Everything's on fire The war outside our door keeps raging on Hold on to this lullaby Even when the music's gone Gone
Just close your eyes The sun is going down You'll be alright No one can hurt you now Come morning light You and I'll be safe and sound
Oooh, Oooh, Oooh, Oooh Oooh, Oooh, Oooh, Oooh La La (La La) La La (La La) Oooh, Oooh, Oooh, Oooh Oooh, Oooh, Oooh, Oooh La La (La La)
Just close your eyes You'll be alright Come morning light, You and I'll be safe and sound...
Oooh, oooh, oooh, oooh oh oh.

Silver wrestled with the Vette, grimacing as it got squirrely with her while she tried to quickly slow down. Definitely NOT a performance car... she thought to herself.
As the roaring engines died back down to their usual hum, a break in her glam/post-hardcore rock gave her the opportunity to hear a smidgen of Taylor Swift floating back to her. She groaned inwardly and turned her music up some. She added her classic rock collection to the Black Veil Brides that she was already listening to, and hit the shuffle button, then relaxed, closed her eyes, and enjoyed the opening of Hell's Bells by AC/DC as she let her other senses tell her what lay around her. She wouldn't crash; she had done this a thousand times. The sounds of the cars around her and the feel of her wheels on the road were enough to keep her exactly where she needed to be.
WEE-OO WEE-OO WEE-OO WEE-OO Silver's eyes shot open. The police car was suddenly very close, and their siren was blaring. It was obvious that they were pulling someone over, but since the four drivers couldn't tell which one the police car wanted, all four pulled off the road.
Alright, though Silver. You've done this before. So long as it's a man, you can manipulate him into letting you guys go. No big deal.
But then suddenly...
Yes. Yes big deal.
It was a woman.
Heading towards the Impala.
Well crap. she thought. Nothing I can do...

Anne hung up the phone and clutch it between her hands until they were white. Anne realized what she was doing and immediately released her death grip. The phone fell to the dirty and spotty shag carpet. She was also visibly shaking, this was out of the norm for Anne. She got up and went to the liquor cabinet chugging some vodka. After a heavy sigh and some shallow breathing she felt better. "They'll be here soon." Anne got her room ready, hiding all of her tracking maps and miscellaneous chicken scratches on pieces of paper. Of course the room was still outfitted with weapons that were well hidden. She just sat back down at the foot of the bed to wait.

Sam looked over his shoulder and groaned,"What the hell did you do now, Dean?" Dean looked into the rearview mirror and smiled a bit. "Absolutely nothing. It's Kathleen," he responded.
***** Emily wasn't even remotely worried. The officer knew Dean and Sam, afterall, Emily could read her mind.

(Okay...... fine ignore me. That works. rolleyes stressed )
Elaine turned around in her seat and raised an eyebrow as this Kathleen person approached the Impala. You're not going to go into a fit of jealous rage are you? Elenore asked from the cushion she was physically confined to. Elaine glared at her. I think it would be very attractive, Elenore continued. Dean may even get a hard on.
Her face turned a light shade of green. "I almost threw up in my mouth," Elaine said and turned to face forward again. She gagged silently for several minutes. "You are not allowed to read Vogue or Cosmo anymore."
Elenore snickered. But you like him. Isn't that...
"SHUT UP!" Elaine yelled and stuck another spirit pin in the cushion and then swore under her breath. Genuine upholstery for a '69 Mustang wasn't easy to find. If things kept up the way they were she'd have a holey seat in her car.

Silver could sense that Dean wasn't the slightest bit worried. She got out of her car and made her way up to Emily's. Emily assured her that Dean knew the woman and that nothing was amiss. Silver replied, "Well in that case, let's go on ahead. The Winchesters can catch up with us. A banshee and a demon-girl with hunting experience can handle whatever this person in Illinois has for a few hours until the boys show up, and if Elaine wants to come with it wouldn't hurt. You get where we're going from Sam's mind and lead the way. I'll follow. And Elaine can do whatever she wants." She didn't wait for an answer, but turned and headed towards Elaine's car. She could see the frustration on the girl's face and wanted to avoid an argument (and possibly another threat on her life), so rather than cluing her in on everything that was going on, she simply said, "We're going on ahead, the boys'll catch up. You can come if you want, or you can stay with the Winchesters. Your choice."
She got back in her car and pulled out right behind Emily, who was already back on the road. Let's ride.

Elaine slouched in the driver's seat for a moment. It was a typical high school act. Go on with the big girls or at like a slut and stay around with the boys. Elaine sighed heavily. She never cared much for being judged. It was a natural habit unfortunately.
The blue door to the Mustang popped open and Elaine's legs soon followed. She walked back to the Impala to see what was going on. Wind from a passing car rustled her hair as her shoes hit the asphalt when she walked. Asphalt always felt safe under her feet.
"We have a previous engagement," Elaine said to the police woman. "May we move on?" Elaine's facial expressions were neutral. There was no tone of irritation or of any real emotion at all.

Sam sighed as he looked at Dean. Suddenly, the phone in his pocket began to vibrate. Sam pulled it out and answered it,"Helllo?" Emily's voice was on the other line. "Hey, Sam. It's Emily. Silver and I are going to go on ahead, okay? Call me when you get close,"she said. Sam smiled a bit,"What? You don't want to wait? No, it's fine. I'll try to make sure Dean keeps this short. No promises though." Emily said,"Alright. Don't take too long, Sam. Life and death. Got it?" Sam sighed and laughed a bit,"Got it." Dean stuck his head out the window as Kathleen stopped to talk to Elaine. He frowned a bit but waited patiently. Kathleen turned to Elaine, said,"Fine by me. Just don't do anything that might require me coming after you," and smiled. Kathleen continued to the Impala."Hello. Thought it was you. The car was a dead give away," she said. Dean smiled again,"Oh really?" Sam sighed and said," Dean, Emily and Silver are going ahead. We need to keep this quick. Emily said that this hunt was 'Life or Death'."

"My guns are all registered," Elaine remarked. "Legally," she added. Elaine slid three fingers of each hand into her front pockets as she stood at the corner of the Impala's hood. It was to insure Kathleen of the urgency of the situation while also not seeming nosy. While she waited Elaine put her head to one side and looked at her reflection in the hood of the Impala.
Her brow crinkled as she wondered what kept it glossy looking. She assumed it was some sort of wax. Curiosity got the better of her though and she touched the surface with her fingertip. It left a very unattractive looking smudge. The corners of Elaine's lips pulled down in embarrassment. She leaned over quickly and breathed hot air on the smudge and then wiped it off with her shirt hoping no one had noticed. Which, of course, was impossible.

A quiet, distant roar of an engine came rolling down the road. Soon the roar became a figure, that was a young man, wearing pilot shades, and riding a black motorcycle. When he approached the cars, he came to a halt, curious if the people were having a problem. Parking his vehicle, he got off and began walking toward the others.

[OOC okay nothing's happening with the Winchesters or Elaine or any of them, so I'm just gonna pan the camera back over to Emily and Silver.]
As the girls sped down the road, Silver noticed a sign. Welcome to Illinois glared at her over a cheesy background of stereo-typically painted green trees, blue sky, and yellow sun.
Nevertheless, they were reaching their goal. She held down her horn in a continuous honk for several seconds to commemorate the progress. Now, just to figure out where the heck Stillman Valley was...

(((Thank you for moving this along.... mrgreen )))
Anne was sitting bent over. Her hands supporting her head as she stared at her muggy old boots. Much to her surprise she was still crying. The vodka wasn't working, neither were her other tricks. No matter what she couldn't bury these tears. Well at least this will sell the story better. She thought.
