"I think the Life division happened," Jordan said, deadpan, and twisted to look at the Jerry-penguin currently hiding behind him. "Dude, you okay?"
When Robert brought someone new over and introduced her as another Phoenix, he perked up, giving Saya a bright smile. "Hey, you made it! I'm Jordan Miller, Sun division. I was A1." He offered his hand for a handshake.

Did Saya do something wrong, Robert looked like he was expecting something and Saya obviously did not succeed. She was about to apologize, until she was led over to another unknown hunter and oh god, where was Robert leading her to--
She was torn between looking at the depression on the ground called Robert or introducing herself. With an awkward sort of half-bent posture, she tried to give Robert a pat on the head. She straightened, to present her other hand for a handshake.
A1!
A wide grin spread over her expression, lighting up. "A1! I was A-12. I'm glad to rejoin you. I suppose I should say, it's been awhile." Saya voice was soft, hope injected into her tone. She couldn't express the warm feeling in her stomach into mere words, which was regrettable.

The penguin gave an exasperated whine, tucking his head under a wing a moment in embarrassment. A... a newly woken phoenix? And here he was... all... penguiny. Wiht a sigh, he pulled his head out again, poking it between Jordan's knees to give Saya a quack in greeting before pulling back. Well, he certainly wasn't going to explain.

"It has. I'm just glad you're awake." Jordan paused, making a quick mental list. "We're almost all awake now," he said, smiling. "That's Madison, A2, and Ennea, A9, and the weirdo rolling around in the snow is Robert, A7. And, uh." He looked back at the penguin half-hiding behind him. "That's Jerry, Z4, except he's currently a penguin, hell if I know what happened. He'll probably be back to normal shortly." And I really hope he remembers where his clothes are before then.
Ferros snickered.
Oh, shut up. It would be funnier if it weren't Antarctica, Jordan grumbled.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAUGH."
This was Robert's only response to Jordan calling him a weirdo in the snow - not because he was a weirdo. But because this just reinforced that he was visible.
"You're not supposed to SEE MEEEEE. I'm INVISIBLEEEEEE." He moaned out, and started making snow angels in the snow out of sheer frustration of his failure.

"Invisible? But - " If the Life division had anything to do with Jerry being a penguin, it was also quite possible that it had everything to do with Robert thinking he was invisible, considering the many and varied effects of the experimental band-aids they'd tried at Christmas. Robert thinking he was invisible was a relatively minor odd effect, and would certainly explain the strange behavior.
An idea struck Jordan, and it was an effort to contain the smirk. "But you gotta remember, man, you're still making footprints in the snow," he pointed out reasonably. "I assume that snow angel is you, anyway. It's a giveaway."

"Don't encourage him," Madison groaned, but she gave Saya a sheepish grin. "Hey, um... we met at the sleepover, right? The, uh... it's all kind of a blur. The cake, and all, and... yeah..."
Translation: I got drunk on boozecake and fell over.

Robert looked up at Jordan for a minute, as his body slowly stopped swaying in the snow, and his eyes widened, twinkling in delight.
"You.. you really can't see me?" emotion_kirakira
He clenched one fist in the air, and jumped to his feet. "Well then, I've just got to try harder to be sneaky. You'll never know I was here." And then he froze, in a horribly uncomfortable position, and held his breath.

Jordan smirked sideways at Madison, then looked around, putting on a puzzled expression. "Where'd he go?"

Ennéa extricated one of her arms from her blanket cocoon and waved at Saya. "Hi." She said with a friendly though slightly shy smile. She was still feeling a little off from past events and it was one thing to be off amongst friends, it was another to be so with a stranger.
Only, Saya wasn't a complete stranger. They had gone through the test together. She was a phoenix, just as Ennéa was.
That thought heartened Ennéa some, "I'm glad you were able to make it." She said more genuinely.
