Why is Marth wearing a mask?
He hides it in shame for failing his kingdom.
He's not really Marth, he's just claming to be him.
Hey, it worked for Camus, right?
  Because he's A GIRL
IS ROY IN THIS GAME TOO?
  This is a bad idea.

Horrible.... Just horrible..... And I'm talking about the class. Who would want a class called BRIDE to the battle?! emotion_facepalm Political or romance wedding, okay. But NOT in the battlefield. >.<

Although Eirika looks nice in the dress, STILL a horrible class for her. And not only is the class horrible, but also I feel like they CHANGED HER CLASS TOO! Instead of a swordswoman, she looks like she's a magic or support unit. (Of course, I STILL don't know what will you do with a BRIDE in the battlefield. emotion_facepalm ) Furthermore, even though the dress looks beautiful, that dress is NOT made for a battlefield. That dress will get all dirty up and tattered.

In addition, I'm curious which "groom" will like to marry Eirika. I'm sure our Ephy refuses to marry Eirika (Of course, I dunno if our Ephy is okay about hooking up with our Eirika. >>; )

EDIT: Rath, I'm aware that you hate the class change. However, you HAVE to agree with me about wanting to use the class change for Eirika. After all, who uses a BRIDE in the battlefield? >>;

When I first saw the picture in this thread, I had just woken up and my still sleeping brain thought "Wait, so they're putting in Elice before FE7 characters?"

But then, it dawned upon me as I looked at Isa's comment.

WHAT.

That's Erika?

So they didn't even try to make her a sword using class...? Like... These characters are less iconic then you want them to be when they aren't in their original classes, Nintendo! Is this because Ephraim is more popular so you wanted to jam in a new class in Erika's chapter too? And why Bride? Alm gets new Demon Fighter class, and Erika gets... Bride? Who the crap is the groom? Why is a "Bride" her combat class? They just slapped a dress and a staff on her...? I hope she can at least use swords so I can say "She's fighting zombies in a bride dress with Sieglinde her Swiftsword along side making goo-goo eyes at her twin brother" And get full spectacle points.

Also no FE7 character from that chapter...? I knew FE7 isn't as popular in Japan as it is in the west, but... We got Bride Erika instead of freaking Hector.

And THIS is that they get the New Mystery artist for? And why the ******** did they put the armored Elincia into revealing puffpants and give miniskirted Erika a freaking Bridal dress? It's like they don't even care about the women's designs.

Izuka's art is good, but... Just what.

I keep editing this comment because I just keep getting more... WHAT.
I'll stop now....

Why are the female lords not getting treated properly. Micky, even though I don't like her, gets reclassed to a dark magic user and is put in a skimpy outfit? That's not right. She's a LIGHT magic user and even if with her reclass, why the hell did you dress her like THAT!? Also why the ******** did you give her a breast size that could try to rival Vaida!? She's a loli!

Now for Eirika. People have been trying to calm me down by saying that it not her battle outfit and it's just to show what that promotion item that comes with her does. If that's the case where is the battle outfit, where it the proof that she isn't going to battle dressed as she is? So far no one has given me proof so I'm sticking to my initial thought.

Now for the outfit itself. WTF!? This isn't something you go into battle in or at least Eirika shouldn't be in battle in. She's a sword user not a pretty princess who only knows how to use a staff. She knows how to get into the heat of battle and fight. Part of me hopes that this isn't what she is battling in, if it is, it is insulting.

Agreed agreed agreed agreed.

Even if the women do look different in the game proper, the art is still degrading. Mickey's OA wouldn't be nearly as offensive (Though still pretty darn offensive) If she wasn't in that freaking pose that makes her look like she's about to do something inappropriate! And even if Erika does have a different outfit in the game, her OA, the thing that we are supposed to associate with her in the world outside of the game universe, is this wedding cake figurine we've been given. Alm wasn't wearing Demon Fighter armor in his OA from what I've heard. Why the crap is Erika in a freaking wedding dress?

I'm (sort of) okay with Micaiah's class change since light magic no longer exists (I do theorize the Fire/Wind/Thunder triangle still applies, though, since there are tomes for all three even at the lowest rank) and a Dark Mage is able to use literally every type of spell in FE13, so it's the best she could get.

I'm quite unhappy with a number of the classes various male characters got as well. Like Celice as a Swordmaster. THAT would suit Eirika better, methinks. Part of that is also my intense dislike of Celice, too, though.

Leaf as a Trickster is another one that irks me. Not judging it too harshly yet, though, because I DO really like the Trickster class - just not on Leaf. My opinion on that combination might change.

Eirika as a Bride IS really degrading, however. Japan does love the Ephraim/Eirika, though. And when you consider that, a LOT of Eirika's actions are motivated by her love for her brother. I'm wondering if Bride is anything like FE4's Princess.

Meanwhile, though I was originally against the class change being brought back, looking at its options and limitations within the game, I'm actually starting to really dig it. It makes so much more sense now. At least to the point of being believable within the game and story. Magical classes can generally only go to other magically inclined classes? YES. This is good. The way I see it, a lot of the purpose for class changing is just to amass more skills and levels, not unlike in a game like, say... Final Fantasy Tactics.

I will agree with FD on Eirika being a swordmaster is more appropriate for her than Celice. I think he should be a horse. His outfit looks nice though. I'm growing to like the peacock coat a bit.

You mean Celice should be a mounted lord? That would actually suit him pretty well... Considering he can mount onto a horse once you promote him later on in FE4. xp

If they're only going for one Lord of each class I'd rather see Sigurd mounted then Celice. And I don't see Swordmaster as the worst they could do with Celice (he was taught to fight by a swordmaster, maybe he fights like one?), though I do think it would have suited Erika too.

From what I've heard, Bride is gonna be Swords(rumored)/Bows/Staves... 3 weapon types, ala Demon Fighter (and to L30! like Demon fighter, with high caps (This is a fair assumption, but it's not unveiled so I may be wrong), so it's a type of super-class) (Also, like Demon Fighter, it's an all-encompassing item promotion: Use "Bride's Bouquet" on any female character to change her to this class)

As far as her groom-- who knows, unless she pops up with an S-rank support automatically (Which, I'd be laughing pretty hard if she has an S-Rank with Ephraim.) it's no one Awakening playable (DLC and Spotpass characters can't support, neither can "other file My Unit"s) - it's not like her chapter is a wedding or anything, it's Red Vs Blue Part 2- Tellius Side. (And she's with the FE6 people. (There's a screenshot of her pulling a bow on a green unit...)

Oh, and Change Seals rock. It's not the stupid reclass system from SD-- it's more of along the lines of a different promotion system- given the way they work (resetting levels, "demotion", etc.) and the skill system. Sure, it gets grindy, but it's far from bad in any way.... 'sides, with the way the higher-end (especially the DLC) chapters are... (Go take a look at the Ephraim chapter enemies. Like wow. They're brutal. And that's NORMAL difficulty. (On Lunatic+ they're CAP EVERYTHING with + skills and Superforged weapons))

It's my understanding that DLC characters can reclass to all regular classes, however (which is precisely what I disliked about reclassing in FE11 and 12), so even if they start in a particular class, you could have ALL the lords be the same class. So I don't see why they'd only have one class released to former Lords as they come out.

I do like the idea of reclassing in FE13. The fact that you need a change seal to do it puts special emphasis around it, like a promotion. You can't just do it willy-nilly, and having special options for reclassing per class still makes each one unique. At least in the case of non DLC/Spotpass characters.
I thought they would have sought to differentiate their DLC characters from the rest so people would be more inclined to buy their chapters. I think that's true with these unique special class scrolls, at least. Perhaps give them all unique classes, at least to start with. I don't know, I'm probably misinterpreting something.

Of course, you've got to take into account how powerful the Support system of FEA is-- it's a LOT stronger than any of the previous games, thanks to Dual Attack/Dual Guard/Double (and support is tied into those heavily). The DLC characters get the "Reclass into anything" which kills unit diversity if you go that way (although, I wouldn't think that too smart), and it allows them to obtain a LARGE array of skills- but that comes at a cost: Spotpass and DLC characters cannot support, so they take a hard hit there, so it balances out.

As far as the actual DLC characters go: Nostalgia Factor + The Map-- it's an added challenge there, some that are so freaking crazy (Like Ephraim's, which a "Endgame" team just won't cut it. You need MORE than that to even have a remote chance), you're gonna be needing the best-of-the-best statwise (so... lol Calvary. Gonna need those extra 4/5 points on the cap (not growths, because you're gonna be grinding, if not for stats, for skills) now! So much for 3 movement.) with perfect skill sets and what not (like, extensive use of Dual/Double). (Yay for harder than FE5 difficulty. (Need more Cyas!))
There's nothing left to lose..!

So IS. I heard you like getting angry letters/e-mails. Why the HELL did you make Eirika a bride? Swordmaster would've suited her a LOT better. HELL, a Paladin would've done better cause then she'd be mounted and with swords(provided she'd have lances but that's another story). I mean seriously. As has been mentioned before, Alm gets the BADASS Demon Fighter class, and Eirika gets...Bride. And looks like a mage. Not a Swordmaster. Not an Assassin(which should be Lyn's class if we get her as DLC btw). A Bride. Thanks a lot IS. I can understand Micaiah going to a Dark Mage due to the way the magic works, and I don't really care what she looks like due to me not really liking her, but still. Female lords do NOT get treated this way IS. Probably the best one is Elincia and she's stretching it anyways. The only way I'll accept this "Bride" class is if it's REALLY REALLY good. And even then only just. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it works.
