Mitzi was so startled by seeing a table come flying out of nowhere to hit Roch that she almost didn't notice one flying at her until too late. At least she managed to get enough out of the way that it didn't hit her head, but it did graze her arm, and it jacking hurt.
Holding her arm, she glanced over at the two other Reapers she knew there. "Roch, Circe, you okay?" she asked before looking around. Several of the boils were already hunting the source, and with her arm hurt she wasn't sure she'd be much help there. But Roch had suggested making a fort out of the flying tables, she could help with that.
"Circe, help me move these tables! If we pile them up, we can hide behind them until the boils find whoever's throwing them at us."

It seemed like the flying tables weren't going to stop... Also, you feel angry all of a sudden. Really angry. So angry that you want to punch things. And maybe put the person who was responsible for this madness into a thousand years of pain and agony.

She was late. Okay. Yes. She knew she was totally supposed to get here way earlier, but she had gone through like, fourteen outfits before choosing one. It was important, okay? Bonfire parties were social hubs of importance, and Freya had been determined to look her best when she made her appearance and was suddenly hit by a table.
..wait
"OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW." She squealed her whine so loud, a flock of corrividus fled a nearby tree just to get away from it. She was lying on the floor, rubbing her now red and sore forehead, and looked like she was seconds away from throwing a temper tantrum.
"Wh.. wh... WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY-" Oh, there it went.
"Somebody's goings teh pay for - oh my gods, does my skirt have GRASS STAINS!?" There would be blood tonight. She crawled back up to her feet, only to be slammed back down by an angry bird hitting her right on the sore spot of her forehead. Now, all she let out were pathetic little whimpers. Why did she come to this party again?

"Come out you jackin' candlewaxer!!" Roch bellowed as a table was flung straight at him. He caught it, twisting with the weight and slinging it behind him. He was SO PISSED! This had been a way to cool people off! And this!
He had no clue that his table was arcing straight towards the purple haired reaper building a fort.

Mitzi was working to drag a table on its side over in front of the others, to give some protection, when she saw a newcomer get pegged with a table right as she walked up, followed by an angry bird to the face. Waiting for a break in the rain of tables, the purple-haired ghoul dashed over to her.
"Are you all right?" she asked Freya, offering a hand to the other ghoul. "We're trying to build a fort over there, to keep off the tables."
She glanced back to see how the others were doing, and turned to face forward just in time to see Roch, of all people, sling a table over his shoulder. Right at her. At least it would miss Freya? But really, really, Roch?
She didn't have time to dodge, and the table knocked her to the ground. But it just made her so ANGRY, that she pushed herself back to her feet, dusted herself off, and grabbed the table. She hefted it, tested its weight, and chucked it right back at the other Reaper. (When did she get strong enough to fling tables? It is a mystery.) "HEY, Roch, you pumpkin face, WATCH WHERE YOU'RE PITCHING THOSE THINGS."

"I'm noooot," Freya whined, but she was still thankful when the ghoul held out her hand and helped her back up. She started immediately brushing the grass stains out of her skirt - whyyy did she choose to wear white to a bonfire party, whyyyy - when the helpful ghoul disappeared from her immediate point of view, as a table whizzed by. Freya looked up, her mouth forming a surprised 'oh' as she stared at Roch and his angry tirade, before reaching over to offer the ghoul the same kindness she'd given her. "Oh my gods, what kinds of party is this, anyway?" Freya keened out unhappily. "I thoughts this was just goings teh be somethings fun and exciting, a little bits of cheeky play maybe, but this.. this is... ACH." She stomped brattily, and went back to grooming herself, when a shadow caught the corner of her eye. She turned to look at it, but it was gone. And she could not care less. "I'm probably goings teh has teh redo my braid.. it has all teh leaves in it now. ALL TEH LEAVES."

The table hit him in the back, making him grunt. He turned, grabbing the table and slinging it to the side, in Rikki's direction, then heading on into the woods to get Rage--who was ALL the faults.

Tables. All the tables. Nahm slipped from shadow to shadow, searching for the source of the party disruption. The trajectory of the tables suggested they were coming from one general area, and he was going to go find out what was there. He could hear Roch yelling behind him. He grinned under his scarf at the strings of enraged curses. There. He could make out a shadowy figure over there; as he watched, another table went sailing off into the sky with impressive range and force. A table had landed near the tree Nahm was currently concealed behind; he felt that it would be appropriate to return the favor. He crouched down and scuttled to position himself behind the table where it lay on his side, took a good solid hold of the supporting structure ... ... and flipped a jackin' table. It went sailing majestically through the air, aimed gloriously true, right into the shadowy figure.

And then... Roch was calm. He blinked, wondering what in the hell had just happened to him. "What happened?" he asked, heading into the dark where he caught a glimpse of a table flying. The shadows gave way, revealing Nahm. "You catch him?" he asked. "Who was it?"
Although he sort of got the feeling he knew already.

"Got him," Nahm reported, grinning ear to ear. "It was Rage, who'd'you think? I flipped a table right back." Oh hell yeah, he was proud of that table flip. It was possibly the best he'd ever performed.
He strutted over to where the table lay on the ground now that Rage had fled, crouching down to examine the fabric caught under it. "Check this out," he reported. "He lost his cloak."

"Thanks," Mitzi said after Freya helped her up, and noticing the other ghoul futzing over her outfit, the purple-haired Reaper checked hers. She just needed a quick brushing-off, at least, nothing more than that.
And suddenly it was over, there were no more tables flying through the air, and Mitzi was not quite sure why she'd thrown a table at Roch - besides that being Roch, he probably deserved it. "Looks like the boils found whoever it was," she called back to the others. "I'm going to go check it out!"
She headed into the woods, finding them without too much trouble now that there were no flying tables. "Find anything interesting?" she asked, taking a peek herself.

Chuppi was so glad to be small, so very glad to be small, for as soon as the tables started falling about the area it was easy enough for her to dodge them and get out of the way. Even if one had managed to hit her it probably wouldn't have hurt, her quills were up and ready to impale anything that came her way, but it was better safe than sorry.
When the tables finally stopped coming and everyone seemed to decide to go and loot someone and take their items. Chuppi...thought about it, maybe? She actually was worried that he might have gotten hurt, seeing as a table dropped onto him, and she waddled over with the intent to check on his injuries. Everyone was taking things and her small hands gentley reached around his body. . .
. . . and pulled out a rotten egg. The look of horror on Chuppi's face was instantly apparent.
"Gran hermano, my finger is stuck on an egg. It is...smelling so bad." She looked to Roch and then to Nahm, her expression terrified and her skin pale.

"Nice find," Nahm said cheerfully to Chuppi. "If you don't want it I'll take care of it."
He pulled his scarf down, leaned over, and delicately closed his teeth over the egg, careful not to bite Chuppi's finger; then he pulled the egg off, and once it was safely clear of the finger it had been impaled on, he ate it in a single crunch and gulp. "There you go, no more stinky egg."
