"130, okay, a couple more doors. Did you lock it?" Jordan laughed a little. "I could have done with less fighting over pizza, but on the whole it was okay."

"Yeah I got m'keys," Harrison said, fishing in his pocket for his singular key. The plastic keychain said HAPPY HOLIDAYS with a bright-looking snowman on it, and was shaped very differently from a certain flashdrive, to avoid pocket mixups.
"Thattt's because youu are tooooo sober," Harrison said.

"Very festive," Jordan commented, the corner of his mouth quirking.
"Yes, well." He could feel himself blushing. "I say some really stupid s**t when I'm drunk enough."

"Nothing wrong with that." Jordan considered the assertion, a bit more thoughtfully than he'd meant to. "Guess you're right. It's not so bad doing something stupid, once in a while."
He grinned back, a little nervously. "Thought you'd never ask. Sure."

"Yeah?" He grinned wider, "...Affter you," He held the door open. His room, like most of the other trainee rooms, wasn't much in the way of layout. As for decor, there was a glowing mushroom lamp, a folksy unicorn painting, and a bright pink unicorn plushie the size of a large dog.
He had picked up before the party, so there weren't clothes and Halloween editions of gaming magazines everywhere.

Jordan stepped into the room and looked around, and carefully didn't laugh at the giant pink unicorn. "I like the personal touches you've added," he said, and turned to give Harrison a shy smile. He wasn't about to judge the guy on his choice of decorative objects; there was a plastic shark on one of his shelves that had accompanied him to college, after all.
He was more than a little nervous; his high school girlfriends had been easy to be with, but he was discovering that it was wildly different with someone who was actually a friend, someone you genuinely wanted. "I, uh. Haven't really done this before," he admitted, hoping that that wasn't going to put Harrison off.

"Heh. Jerr-r gave me thaat." Harrison moved it off the bed.
Hadn't done this before. s**t. Hadn't been expecting that either, but okay. They all had deadlines and checklists, he could understand that.
"We can take r'easy," Harrison tottered back to where Jordan was standing, and rested against him again, putting his hands on his waist and circling his thumbs to play with the t-shirt fabric. "Y'can call the schots."

The giant pink unicorn suddenly made a lot more sense. Jordan laughed a little. "Oh, I see."
You can call the shots - oh, damn, that was unexpectedly hot. He leaned against Harrison, supporting and being supported; he didn't know what he wanted, and wanted everything. One step at a time. He leaned in for a kiss, slow and warm and exploratory, and found that he liked that they were the same height, could fit neatly together as equals.

Harrison was dizzy, but he felt good, and even if he was a little clumsy he wasn't in any hurry. Since Christmas there hadn't been anything but small, shy touches. Okay, and that one time they got into a shove fight and tried to punch each other over a dollar. He didn't count the FPS headshots as touching. But he did a lot of fighting, and right now the warmth and sweetness was a welcome change of pace.
He backed up, slowly, until he felt the bed on the back of his knees.

Jordan followed the motion willingly, still half-paying attention to be sure Harrison didn't lose his balance; but he'd realized all in a rush that he didn't need to find excuses to touch, that this meant that he just could. His hands slid down Harrison's back, slipping under his shirt - yeah, that was nice.
He pressed forward slightly, resting one knee on the edge of the bed; in spite of his slowly growing confidence, his eyes flicked up to catch Harrison's gaze, asking a silent question; is this okay, am I doing it right?
