Madison waved at Clarice, but then Saya's mention of alpha phoenix made all other thoughts flee from her mind. "Ah!" She pointed at Saya. "Alpha what? What number? Tell meeeeee." It was Important.

Cake?
Eva liked cake, it was true--she had a bit of a sweet tooth--but anything Julie made her rather uneasy. Everyone who was eating it seemed to be fine, but there was still a bit of doubt that lingered in the girl's mind as she narrowed her eyes at the baked good.
Maybe she would pass for now.
Saya earned a grin from Eva, but as she wasn't too well acquainted with Petra--which would hopefully change tonight!--she chose to remain sitting when Saya went rushing up to the other girl. Turning back, she grabbed another chocolate, taking a bite of it and eying the interior of the chocolate with a risen brow. Hmm, well...after getting over the initial strange taste, it really wasn't all that bad, she supposed.
Moving over to where Candace was now, she draped her arms over the other girl's shoulders and grinned. "Hey, Candace? What kinds of things are we supposed to do during a sleepover, really?" This was, admittedly, the first time Eva had had a sleepover. Despite the fact that she was already twenty, she looked as excited (and clueless) as a teenage girl right now. "Are there any awesome games that we're usually supposed to play during one of these?"

Sydney stared at the cake. It GLITTERED. And she was partly sure it wasn't because of the alcoholic chocolates she'd just eaten. "It's not gonna try and eat us, is it?" she asked after a loooong moment of staring at it. Okay, maybe a little of it was because of the chocolates. But she had good reason to ask!! Those brown slimy things had come out of the fridge, right? They had LOOKED like cho-- No, if she finished that thought she was definitely going to be sick.

Mouth still full of cake, Rin gave Sydney a baffled and somewhat dazed look.
"Nope!" Her smile broadened.
"Just yummy cake!" She was very tempted after swallowing the last bite of her slice to take another... a temptation she soon caved to. Wandering over to take another this time eating it with far less care. Just shoveling delicious intoxicating forkfuls in her mouth.

Very calmly, because she'd been hit with far worse breath in her life at Deus, Syd reached up and wiped the crumbs that had been spat off of her cheek. "Thank you," she said very seriously to Rin before taking her slice of cake.
She picked up a plastic fork and cut off a small piece of the cake, looking at the pretty design for a long moment (the green frilly nightgown was now tucked into the band of her sleeping pants, btw) and took a bite of the cake.
"Oh... wow," she said, taking another big bite and closing her eyes as she happily ate the entire slice in a minute.
The earth moved, and she felt oddly heated. Her cheeks flushed and her heart started to speed up. She was--was this love??
Izy said dryly.
"Close enough!" she said happily, waving her fork in the air.

"Ohhh, just look at it!" Sasha's eyes were as big as saucers as she drank in the majestic sight of the cake laid out before her. It was big, the biggest cake she'd ever seen - all different colors of the rainbow - and it glittered like diamonds. It was beautiful, and to Sasha's alcohol-fluffed brain, it was begging to be tasted. Forgoing a fork, Sasha swiped a finger against the lowest border of the cake, swooping up a heap of frosting. It was sweet, and thanks to her alcohol-dulled sense of taste it was also the most amazing thing she'd ever tasted ever. "Did Clarice say -- come try this, Clerise -- did Clarice say she had a bath? And a steamroom?" Sasha lapped up more frosting, a heavenly expression on her face. "Oh my gosh. We should check it out. And.. where did the chocolates go? We should bring those. And some of this. This cake." EVERYONE ELSE IDEK ANYMORE

Cass wasn't really in on the whole 'phoenix' thing going on, so the exchange between the trio on that front? Totally over her head. She didn't understand it at all. However, she did just beam brightly at Petra all the while. It was nice having some girl friends that she could just greet overly excited. Even if she'd floored the older girl.
Whoops.
"Yes, yes! Come join us! It'll be fun!" Cass grinned, before adding in a low whisper; "Clarice has alcohol." She wasn't sure how exciting that would be to Petra, but...alcohol was kind of exciting to Cass in that scandalous forbidden way. Which may have been why she was on the island at all. Rebellious teenager and all. But in the funnest way - even if she'd never return from it. She didn't mind.
I wonder if your parents do, though.

Cass didn't like it when Nicodemus implied her parents were a bit more human than she remembered them being.

"Heyyy..." Rin approached Sasha, pointing a finger and looking a bit uneven on her feet.
"Take a sliiiceee. Don't just... lick it."
Never mind the fact she hadn't licked it. But still, Rin saw it as that way. At least she wasn't genuinely mad or anything. Smiling rather large the entire time.

Sasha jumped a little when she was approached by Rin, eyes widening. "I uh. I didn't lick it." Even still, the other woman made a good point. "Hey. Hey. Heeeey Julie. Give me a plate. 'n a fork, too." She paused, looking thoughtful. " Two forks. I'm going to s-share with Clerise." A moment hesitation. "Please." Sasha turned her attention back to Rin. "There's some nighties 'n the closet. But .. " she lowered her voice to a farcical whisper. "We should look in the bathroom."

"Not gunna share with me too? I see how it is." She nodded a few times too many at Sasha before looking confused as she continued on about nighties and bathroom.
"But I'm already in my.. my... sleepwear?" She frowned slightly before blinking abruptly.

She'd just been standing quietly against the wall, moving along it to make more room for anyone else that showed up. Fini was not quite sure just what to do. Stay where she was? Sit on the bed? Man, she really wished she knew more people! Although one familiar face did appear. Tori. The girl she'd met when they'd gone on that one mission. And into that cave.
A shudder and a sour taste accompanied that. She did not like caves. Nope.
:: Why don't you try socializing, precious? :: Vashi purred lazily in her mind.
Well, might as well start by saying hi to someone she actually did know, right? Fini moved from her location against the wall and maneuvered over to smile and wave at Tori. "Hey there!" She offered the others around her a smile as well, though Fini knew none of their names.
And then her attention was snagged by the large cake that was wheeled in. :: THAT...is one big a** cake. :: She shared with Vashi. It looked pretty good too. But her stomach was still feeling a little fluttery from nerves at attending the 'girls night'. So she would pass for now. Which may have been a good thing, judging by some of the other girls' reactions.

There were suddenly arms over her shoulders and Candace looked to see who it was, resting her hands on the arms and giving them an affectionate squeeze. Ohh, Miss Eva! Yay! "Hang out, watch movies, make fools of yourselves and each other. Clarice promised me a mani-pedi, for example. And Bond." A look was given to the movie projector and she grinned. Clarice you are the best simply the best.
"Should probably do as much as we can before we get completely wasted, hmmm? Though I am curious about this steam bath myself." Maybe after cake? She shifted in front of Eva, pulling on her arms and tugging her up. Yes, she intended on carrying Eva on her back.
"That's fine, Rin." Candace adjusted Eva's positioning a little, tucking her arms under the girl's legs. "Really the only person whose pajamas are unacceptable is Sasha's~." She said in a cheery sing-songy voice, grinning.

The Moon Hunter continued to absently smile as she handed out cake slices, each slice of cake a little larger than the next. The cake itself was also toppling very dangerously to one side, though Julie paid it absolutely no notice.
In fact ironically, the disco ball was the only thing that kept the entire structure from just collapsing entirely. It was a pity that noone had actually asked for a piece of the Bacardi's Rum Cake, though fortunately for them, the disco cake had actually five times more alcohol content than the rum cake. She simply continued to cut cake slices around the giant disco ball, piece after piece after piece... even far after there was anyone left asking for a slice, a neat pile of them stacked on the trolley and then on any counter that even had some semblance of space on it. Basically, there were cake slices everywhere. At last, with the cake sliced a quarter of the way, she looked up. "Oh, anyone want seconds?"

Cass took the slice of cake she was offered willingly, giving a look around the room for those who had already had a slice of it, before moving to sit down by her bag to take a bite of it, making a thoughtful face as she took a bite of it.
She almost had an immediate sweep of fabulous warmth sweep over her, pupils dilating in a sort of fanatical awe.
In fact, Cass was staring at one of the gatherings of girl's across the room with an almost creepy look seeping over her face when her phone went off in her bag. She pulled it out, filtering through a few messages from Marcus - his own bids of love and farewell in the company of Allan, before she typed back to him, the grin still plastered on her face.Istoleyurvamps ceka. Someone pinch Molly, because this was too good to be true.
She beamed at Candace. “Aww, thank you!” She smoothed out her night top anxiously now. “You all look rather adorable and beautiful in yours as well!” Molly was a bit jelly. She didn’t have the body some of the others did, and did not feel confident at all about wearing such sexy nightwear. Sigh. Regardless, she did wave back to Sasha and to Sydney, smiling widely at the both of them, before she looked around some more. Oh my goodness…all the pampering that was to be done…she was feeling overwhelmed at where to begin…and then a giant cake came in.
Really, someone pinch her.
Molly could not resist a slice of cake, and went to claim one, thanking Julie immensely as she took a slice. Molly didn’t seem to pay all that much heed to the uh…talk going around about this Julie. She was super nice for bringing cake though!
