Entry:
Aurum with his striking gold markings even as a pup relied mostly on his good looks and charm to carry him through life. His bother Chalybs however was much admired for his strength and wit. For the most part this caused no issues between the two, why should it after all both skills were hardly anything to be scoffed at In the appropriate situations. In fact it made them a rather striking duo and an indefinitely important addition to their pack. One balanced the other like nature itself . . .well when left uninterrupted by outside forces anyway.

What pray tell was The outside force that got between them?

Well the same thing that always comes between two males, A female but of course. She was a Creature of pure power with a bite like lightning or the first cold sting of winter chill and all the unbridled beauty of the world’s first sunrise. Her name was Isolean but for what she was to these brothers she may as well have been called Doom Spike or some other equally foreboding name.
Aurum had taken his time with this one, this was the kind of female that could lead a even the most content male (as he was) to shed the shackles of gamma and reach for alpha or even more the freedom of the hard life of a loner just to reside in the knowledge of her approval or even better her love. Hence why Chalybs’s anger and jealousy only fueled his desire.
“You’ll only tire of her!” Chalybs barked barely keeping his fangs from showing. He was torn between his love of his brother and his desire to protect isolean from arums exploits because though he had yet to make his feeling toward her known to her in so many words he loved her too.
Arum smirked in his roguishly charming way his emotions as per usually perfectly in check. He knew of his brothers affections and also of his lack of ability to express them. It was true he presented Isolean with choice bits of meat with his exceptional hunting skills he certainly had that going for him but he would never been able to sweep her off her paws as he could. “Doubtful, but the real question is will she tire enough of me to ever fall for you?” he replied
That was it, he had crossed the line with Chalybs for the first and the last time his tailed fluffed aggressively as he gnashed his fangs dangerously. Arum being a bit to dumb to know when to back off took up a defensive posture as well. Neither was willing to back down at this point to much had been said too much had been done . . .the real question would be who would come out on top?
