OPEN RACE COURSE
Up ahead there was a patch of what looked like mud; deep mud. At first Levi felt a pang of concern for her mount as it hadn't particularly been feeling all that well previously. Would it be okay going through something like tat in this weather?
Apparently so; the hatchling's feet went through the muck with nearly no hassle, keeping a steady pace from one clawed foot to the other.

OPEN RACE COURSE
Things seemed to go well and the hatchling was even speeding up! The bad thing about this? The boulder around the next bend that would cause it to topple over with a thud. So too did the ghoul roll in a flurry of snow and fur from her cloak.
She could ask no more of her sickly cousin mount. Instead, she opted to help it back to the stable and made sure her Guide had her flags with it. That'll do, dragon. That'll do.

Demis eventual return to the snow course was a blistering cold one. thank Jack for nice, warm fuzzy fur.

it was going to be one of those days. Meanwhile something was lurking in the trees, something that had the hellhounds attention, or at least his ears as the centered in on the subtle rustling of leaves, overrun by the sounds of hail hitting everything in sight. OW!

The best part of the run was the gagged lepus guide that was being dragged behind damien as he padded across the ice.

The problem with the lepus, was even when it was doing nothing, IT WAS STILL CAUSING PROBLEMS.
the jerryeti hiding in the forest decided to make his appearance, chasing after both hound and lepus.
Thinking the lepus was now minibait. The only saving grace was the ice that cracked under its heavy form and separated them, for the time being.
