He hated this. Asch felt like a wounded animal that had been cornered and trapped. That's when animals became the most vicious after all. Rosie's words angered him, as evidenced by his clenched hands and teeth. Probably because they were rather close to the truth, and the truth always hurt.
"Shut up!" he barked back. He was at a loss for words. If this was what she meant by talking to him, then he didn't want any of it! He just wanted them to leave him alone. She didn't understand, none of them did. She had no right! They had no idea what he'd gone through, what he had to do, and why he acted the way he did.
"Stop talking like you know it all! You don't understand anything. You say I need friends? Where were my so called "friends" when I needed them?!" A glare was then pointed at Luke. They all knew the answer to that one. This conversation was managing to reopen old wounds, and they were not physical ones. "I managed without them before, and I can do it again!"
It was about this time that the blonde nurse poked her head in the door with a frown. "Excuse me. I allowed you all to be in here despite the rules, but if you continue to upset our patient I'm going to have to ask you to leave." Her eyes then went towards the heart monitor which had spiked and was now beeping more rapidly than before.

Rosie was amazing. This was a simple truth that Luke had suspected for some time, but the fact that she could stand before someone who had hurt her and had the ability to hurt her again - had the ability to hurt all of them - and talk to him as though he were just any other person confirmed his suspicions. But despite all her sincerity and all her good intentions, Luke couldn't imagine Asch responding favorably. They could have been standing there offering him perfect forgiveness for everything he'd done and he still wouldn't have responded favorably.
Luke's expression soured as his expectations were met. He moved forward half a step, answering Asch's glare with a firm gaze of his own. "Your friends were right where you left them. You had years to come back, and you didn't. Shouting at us isn't going to change the decision you made eight years ago to throw away your friends and family."
The appearance of the nurse seemed to Luke a cue, and he turned to address his friends, "He's not gonna tell us anything we don't already know. We should just go." Go and make their decision on what to do with the captive Rocket. He certainly wasn't making any efforts to persuade them, after all.

Asch was stunned by Luke's words and fell silent. So he'd finally found a voice. Heh. He supposed he deserved that one, even if Luke didn't actually know what he was talking about. He could sit there and deny things till he was blue in the face, but what good was there in that? If only the poor fool knew the whole truth, but he had been forbidden to bring that up.
"Hmph. Yeah, get out," he muttered, having calmed down significantly. He just wanted them to leave. He didn't care if they hated him or not. So long as they stayed away.

After the confused looks she had gotten, Natalia had realized she should have specified just who needed to keep calm/calm down. Mostly that being herself. A reminder to Asch and Guy as well sure but she had been letting past examples get the better of her. Something to remember next time if there is one then. She did go quiet for a while though as she calmed herself down, just watching how the others were reacting.
Asch's pointed comment about Rosie not knowing anything about him made her shift uneasily, knowing well she was just relearning or learning to know him. The friends comment hurt more though and she sat back down while grasping her necklace from him. She didn't really have much to say to that, after all Asch we right. Luke might be right a bit as well but then that would mean having the full story to understand and that wasn't something the young woman had managed to get out of him yet.

Rosie fall quiet during the brother's exchange, seeming to have lost any desire to speak. She didn't really think Asch would like what she had to say, and he continued to defend himself. Glancing over to the nurse, blinking once when they were told to stop upsetting Asch.
Luke prompted that they should leave, and right now Rosie wasn't against the idea. Blue eyes turned back over to Asch, then over to Natalia.
Shifting her stance to turn away, glancing over at Luke and Guy before she started moving to the door.

The only direction this conversation was going was in a steady downward spiral, Guy could see, and it felt to him like it could - and would - only get worse from here. The uncomfortable situation was made no better by the sudden appearance of the nurse in the doorway. Since Guy had the lack of foresight to be standing right near the door, the woman's arrival caused him to flinch violently and hastily scoot away, fear flickering in his eyes. Why did hospital rooms have to be so cramped?!
Guy finally relaxed once the nurse left, and as Luke suggested they leave, he met his younger friend's eyes and nodded. Nothing was being accomplished here. Luke and Miss Rosie and himself [somewhat] were trying to talk sense into Asch, but the Rocket was just being too stubborn to even listen to them. They might as well have been talking to a brick wall. Guy sighed and his gaze flickered from Luke to Asch, his eyes narrowing. "Fine. I have nothing to say, anyway."
Guy followed Miss Rosie out the door, glaring once his back was turned towards Asch. "...What a child," he muttered softly to himself once he exited the hospital room. If Asch was going to be arrogant, then they would just have to decide his fate on their own.

Natalia sat down again. Green eyes lingered on the girl in a momentary silence accented with a slight frown and confusion. "Natalia, you're not coming?" She knew what they had come to talk for, right? And what they were going to discuss and decide now that they'd had that talk?

Asch's eyes slid towards Natalia as his twin asked if she was coming. He frowned silently at her for a few moments before looking away.
"You should go with them," he stated rather bluntly.

Natalia looked from Luke to Asch and back again then started to pick the edge of one of her gloves slightly. "Go ahead Luke, please. I would like to talk to Asch for a moment then I'll follow." It might be slightly stalling for the conversation that she knew would take place but she did have something to say to Asch. "If you could wait outside the door that would be great?"

His features pulled into a slight frown. What more was there to be said? "All right," he replied, withholding a sigh. He exited into the hall to wait as requested, looking to to Guy and Rosie with a half-shrug. He couldn't imagine what else Natalia expected to hear, but he wasn't about to drag her out of the room by her arm if she wanted to stay a while longer.

Asch didn't withhold his sigh and watched as his twin left before looking to Natalia with a frown. "What is it?" he asked. As much as he might appreciate her being there, he did want some time to himself.

Natalia got up out of the chair when Luke left then moved closer to Asch's bed. She stared at him for a moment and reached up to place her right hand on the neck. "I've said it before and I'll say it again. I am sorry for what we have done, I am sorry for helping add to your pain. I'm sorry we trusted the adults so blindly." She shook her head slightly as she closed her eyes and sighed.
"And I hope to learn more about the you now just as much as I have hope when I see the glimpses of the you then." She rested her left hand over his heart. "You say you don't need friends but I promise, I will be here for you this time." It hurt her to know that he had such little faith in people but maybe, just maybe she could help him gain some faith back sometime. She bent down and kissed his cheek lightly before straightening up. "Just remember that we are all human, your parents, Guy, Luke, me and you. Humans make mistakes but most try to fix to fix them."
Maybe she what she said would help, maybe it wouldn't. Maybe she was just a mix of thoughts and feelings and was sprouting nonsense. But she hoped Asch would at least know she had his back the best she could. So with a small smile she started to walk to the door.

Asch had to admit, he hadn't really expected that. He listened to Natalia's words and blinked slowly, taking them in. He could tell that she was sincere by what she said, and even he couldn't get angry at that. Not this time. However, he didn't really know what to say. So he didn't say anything, and just watched her go as she finally walked to the door.
Once she had gone, Asch let out a sigh before closing his eyes. "Dammit."

Natlia joined them, and Luke looked to her with a brief nod of acknowledgement before addressing the group as a whole. "Well, it's like Guy and Rosie said," he started, keeping his voice generally low due to the sensitive nature of the topic, "the person in that room is a criminal, and we're in a position that we can do something about it." He paused only momentarily; the conversation with Asch had helped him with one thing even if nothing else, and it was with little hestitation that he put forth his own opinion, "I... don't think Asch will change. I don't think we really have any choice other than contacting the police."

The inevitable truth was brought forward, and Guy could not help but slightly wince. He knew that this was where it was all going to go anyway - it's not like they could ever just let Asch go, and if Guy knew anything about him, he could tell that Asch had far too much stubborn pride to ever consider joining the trainers for even a moment. This was their only option. So... Why did Guy feel like he had been wounded by those condemning words?
"...I think you're right, Luke," Guy replied quietly. He folded his arms protectively, avoiding the gazes of his friends. "Besides, what other choice do we have?"
