Barth watched as his teammates sweated, and hauled, and stacked. It was...sort of extremely horrible. It made him a little ill.
He turned his slow attentions to the wall instead, the grains stacked precariously like tetris blocks. The physics were interesting on this level, and really, all it would take is a little tap, and a smidge of rearranging there...
Freed of the claw but now in a ripped shirt, he nudged a grain of sand, and others fell neatly into place to lock together.

He hummed to himself. Sand wasn't all that bad. Associated with sleep. Very similar to mud. And if this grain over here moved a centimeter to the left... there was another small avalanche, and the castle was even sturdier.
"Well, err, that should do it. I think. No worse for the wear. A little wet, but that strengthens the structure. Ultimately."
He brushed his claws free of grit.

THE KRAKEN'S HP : 146/146  OOC MECHANICS: THE KRAKEN BONUS CASTLE STATS:Mr. Starfish. Mr. Starfish has absorbed enough water and grown up to five times his size! +50 HP HEALED TO YOUR CASTLE, PLEASE APPLY BEFORE BOSS FIGHT. BOSS FIGHT PART 2: KILLING THE BOSS- Disregard normal attack mechanics and please use these mechanics below. DO NOT APPLY a "miss" ratio (ie: don't subtract six)
- If you are a group of 3, you are rolling 2d12. If you are a group of 4, you are rolling 2d10. If you are a group of 5, you are rolling 2d8.
- Your first dice roll determines the damage you do to the boss. Your second dice roll determines the the damage the boss does in relatiation TO YOUR OWN CASTLE.
- FOR EXAMPLE: I have a group of 5. I roll 2d8, a 6 and a 7. I do 6 damage to the boss, and the boss does 7 damage to my castle.
- All damage done from the boss does not hit the students but INSTEAD THE SANDCASTLE.
- Make sure to use the form below while posting, so that everyone can figure out what your CURRENT sandcastle's HP is with this mechanic added.
- IF YOU DO NOT DEFEAT THE BOSS, it will berserk and take out your entire sandcastle's HP at the very end, not even a sea turtle can save you.
- Each student is only allowed to have 6 rolls total.
- ONCE THE BOSS's HP HAS HIT 0, you guys have made it! HOORAY.
- IF your castle's HP hits 0, ouch! You instantly lost! BONUS: GOING DOWN WITH A BANG If your sandcastle falls rather dramatically thanks to either being unable to defeat the boss or the boss literally sinking your castle, please edit your sandcastle to its beautiful vandalised image. Doing so might earn you some interesting group bonus points.

It was a good thing when Lizzy saw tentacles, the first thing she thought of was a certain boat ride with Nurse Cricket rather than something that should never be mentioned on a PG-13 site. The bad thing was that she spent too much time freaking out at the tentacle than actually doing anything; when she finally snapped out of it - partially due to feeling the vibration of her eyephone, which was surprisingly still intact despite being damp - she took a sand-brick, and with determination, tossed it at the tentacle to get it to go away.
Too bad it probably just felt like someone was tickling it, as the tentacle knocked one of the sandcastle's towers down.
Tearfully, she replied the text and the took up arms to defend King Patrick's castle.

As the tentacle knocked down a second tower, Lizzy found herself desperate to save her team's creation - so desperate that she decided to slap the tentacle.

With her confidence in tentacle-castle-rape prevention increasing, Lizzy decided to double-slap the tentacle like she was a Jigglypuff whose audience had fallen asleep when she started to sing.
Too bad the tentacle than decided to slap the sandcastle, sending a portion of the wall tumbling down like a Voltorb rolling down the hill.

After a while, the fight between spider, sandcastle and tentacle looked a little like this.
Except with a lot more fighting back.

Christof flinched, shoving the large grain of sand off of him just as things went horribly awry.
There were tentacles. And for a moment he wondered if Mistress had come to scoop him up to safety but no these were not the nice, lovely, protecting embrace of the mindflayer... it was something else. He gave a whine, wobbling back before giving a good stomp to a tentacle tip.

Christof flailed as the tentacle squirmed, sending him flying back into the castle. He was fine, his fall thankfully cushioned by sand, but unfortunately for the sand castle, it only seemed to make matters worse. They were trying to build, here!! GO AWAY horrible tentacle creature that was not Mistress! With a muffled snarl, he wobbled to his feet, all three fists raised to smash down on a squirming, green appendage.

He had had enough! No sooner had the tentacle TOUCHED their castle, Christof was scurrying up the massive sandy wall, eyes blazing with hatred. With a deep breath, he suddenly hurled himself off and down onto the flailing squid creature, grabbing a hold of a flailing tentacle as tight as he could before headbutting the slimy flesh as hard as he could.
Unfortunately, he was also sent for a wild ride, but at least it seemed his attack had *bothered the creature greatly*.

Amrita was getting reason after reason to not like beaches and water. The Kraken was attacking their poor castle, and despite both Lizzy and Christof's attempts to kill the beast and save their hard work, it seemed to be in vain. When she finally decided to step in she tried to grab a flailing tentacle but really only managed to pinch a sucker on the thing. Like any creature with a stubbed toe it reacted violently and smashed down against one of the sandy walls.

BUT she tried again, because they had a sandcastle to protect! This time she tackled a tentacle before it could get to the castle, not noticing a second one reaching for her ankle. It grabbed her and pulled her off of itself, and in the process she clipped the sandcastle with her elbow.
