She needed to do something a little more effective than throwing her shoes. What to do, what to do...oh! Look! A stick! It must have come from someone else's castle or something. Nevertheless, she picked it up and smacked the crab with it. It barely left a mark, and the stick snapped in two.

The crab didn't appreciate being kicked, so it smacked her with its claw. It showed her who was boss.

Once she'd entered her castle, she orchestrated her attacks from the bridge, tentacles snapping each time a crab came too close. It was all very heroic, unless one was watching from the beach, at which point it was just adorable.

Junko refused to let these crabs be their boss. SHE'S THE BOSS, OKAY?
She showed it who was boss by throwing sand in its eyes. The crab didn't like that, apparently! It smacked Junko with its claw again.

Still with the tentacle snapping. It wasn't very effective. Her tentacles were soft, after all, and those crabs looked like they had dined on calamari before.

Junko, Riley, and Spectrae seemed to have done a rather fantastic job of ghoul-powering the crab down, don't you think?

The visitors had left, and Jericho was still seething. Though, he at least got distracted when he realized that everything around them was getting bigger. Or rather, they were getting really small. Considering that red dragons were generally large creatures, this bothered him quite a bit. This just wasn't natural!
If that wasn't all, they had a giant enemy crab to deal with now. Snarling, he flared his wings out while taking flight. He was getting ready to try and see how he could flip it over so they could attack its weakpoint for massive damage.
Only. Well. The three girls on the team had this down. They defeated the crab, but now they looked to be a bit worn down.
"Are you alright?" he called down.

Seeing the thing twitch a bit, Jericho quickly dove down fist first to punch it into the sand.

Malodore knelt and prodded at the crab's smashed carapace. It pulled a claw free from the body and rolled the thing around in its hands before looking up at the ghouls. "Beautifully done... " ... But the crab's defeat had a price. Junko and Spectrae looked awful, and Riley had taken some damage too.
"I think now, perhaps, would be a good time for bandages."

Some of Spectrae's tails were not feeling so good, and had decided to limp, instead of lashing around as per usual. She had taken just lying on the sand, becoming one with the specks, when Malodore's voice cajoled her back to consciousness. Upon seeing her new best friends vaguely worried about her general health, she was suddenly feeling very very self-conscious. What if she had not brought enough bandages?
Without warning, she practically threw the remaining bandages at Malodore before proceeding to bury her head and half her body into the sand (bricks).

Malodore caught the bandages. Just barely. Then it ducked as sand flew into the air again...
...
... So it was finally time for bandages and she was... going underground when she'd been so... excited about bandages and... and...
...
The plague doctor made a very firm decision not to think about logic (or lack thereof). "You need bandages too," it informed Spectrae's posterior before looking over at Riley and Junko. "It seems we have supplies... perhaps a rest is in order? To conserve our strength?"

THE TIDE COMES IN AND...
Riley felt the cold rush of water even as it filled the moat, overflowed, and splashed against their castle. All of her pretty towers fell, and the gate was gone, as well as the entire carved front of the castle itself. From that angle, it now just looked like a messy lump of sand. And within it, a messy mindflayer stood soaked in seawater, with a piece of seaweed the size of her entire body draped over her head.
We are not amused.

The only rebuilding that Riley was prepared to do at the moment was remove the seaweed from her face, and fling it as far up into the air as possible.
So she did.
And it landed on the castle.
