Siddie was scrambling to the wall, Israfel was mourning the loss of his little ponies, herself? Swearing left and right like a true sailor as she tried to scoop more sand up again.
"We have to work faster we can't waste time if another wave comes in again...." She stared at the castles walls, the moat practically washed away eroded from falling sand and rolling waves. Still the sand crumbled in her hands as she hastily tried to paste some of it over and pat the wall smooth, she couldn't keep it up!

Another fistful of sand was scooped up. A rock that would surely work! She reached out for the stone as water and wet sand sloshed around her. Her FEAR was lacking and she was exhausted from moving around in the wet sand, more like quick sand as the water sank in. She hefted the stone, really a pebble that was more like a boulder.
Any ants watching would have been impressed, the ghoul had apparently dislodged a far larger stone from the sand pulling it out bit by bit, finally she hefted the stone up against her shoulder moving towards the wall.
"WE. CAN'T. LOSE." She said slamming the stone into place punching sand into place all around it.

Okay, everybody was building and she was swearing over dropping s**t on her foot. Time and place, this wasn't it. Shehk got back to work quickly enough to start shoving their foundation back together as efficiently as she could.
They had made some good rebuilding progress already, they just needed to keep it up!
Even if Israfel was screaming about ponies.

Okay, as she kept working she was beginning to see more and more about what she needed to do. All of the things. It made building it up a lot easier and effective, actually.

Lucien's eyes darted around him and his team members, his hands messily and a bit slowly trying to gather up the sand that he had knocked over. Maybe he could fix enough that it would repair his own mishap as well as what the disastrous wave had done to the poor castle. He could hope, but it probably wasn't going to do much in the end at his pace.

... and his pace didn't continue. It was like the idea that Harry the Herring was gone had floated right back into the air spirit's mind and his determination to do better was slowly dwindling. He wasn't idle by any means but he was moving at such a turtle's pace that his efforts were minimum. Oh, if only Harry the Herring was here. Surely that would liven their spirits and brighten up whatever trifort castle they had.

"We have to do it," Siddie said, mostly to herself, and went back to the task of picking up sand to shore the castle up. "We can't fail this, we have to do it." The sand fell out more than once, and she could have just screamed with frustration. Why wasn't it holding?

There, finally, it was sticking in the spot Siddie had been working on. She scooped up more sand, worked to stuff it into place in the cracks and unstable parts. Was it going to be enough? She hoped so.
Was this panicky feeling of time ticking down and not enough resources what Famine had meant when they said that this trial was designed to teach the students about scarcity and the fight against even the surroundings? The crabs had been easier to deal with than this. If the crabs had knocked them all down, it would have been the crabs' fault at least partly, but she really couldn't blame the ocean for doing what oceans did. If they failed here, it was all on the group's shoulders, and it made Siddie feel almost sick with apprehension.

"Oh my ********>" Shehk probably had never sworn so eloquently, but the large tentacle that suddenly loomed from the water above them brought this sort of horror onto the Pricolici's face. That thing was enormous!!
However, it seemed that their faith in their Lord-of-the-Beach had not been ill founded.
No, a flurry of Red and Herrings went swimming past them, a series of fish forming to finish fixing their castle in lieu of Shehk's horrror.

How were they supposed to attack something that was so..monstrously huge, anyways?
No seriously, Shehk had to consider it for a moment before she just did the one thing she did best as a Pricolici - Bite the everliving s**t out of it. For the record, Shehk immediately decided that Calamari was not her thing, the taste of the living tentacle rubbery and rather unpleasant to her.

Okay, she was not having that stupid tentacle and it attacking their castle and NOPE!! Shehk nipped at the tentacle near the end and it recoiled away, only doing minimal damage this time.

Yep. Theory was being backed up as she spit blood and rubbery tentacled goodness out into the sand, wiping the back of her hand across her face and smearing Kraken blood across it.

Okay, it actually thrashed quite a bit at another bite, knocking one of the Urchins off of their Castle and causing Shehk to look up at their fortress with a sort of "LEGASPNOOOO" look on her face.
