Wyv just blinked, rather in shock about the whole occurance. People were doing things for her. One of whom she'd just met. She really didn't know what to say. That was part of the reason why she'd joined the Aerandir project. You can't just live on a world, you need to be a part of it too. What better way than to emmerse yourself completely in something? Wyvern accepted the feather with reverence.
"... Thanks. Foenix, Nehanda," she said, nodding to each in turn once she'd found her voice. "I really don't what to say," she added lamely, absentmindedly tickling the palm of her hand with the feather's tip. She also gave Chao's hand a squeeze as she too offered to get something for Makai's quest. "You too, Chao. I really appreciated it." She gave a watery smile.
And then she was distracted by the sudden comotion- a new gryphon, here? How auspicious. A good omen for such a pleasant meeting between the islands.
Makai frowned, but only briefly. It seemed he'd have to work harder to have himself understood. This could be fun. But right now it didn't matter, as Osu had answered his question, sorta. The glowy was good? He didn't remember, although he knew he had come from a jar. He supposed it would be hard to remember soemthing that happened to you before you really existed.
He noticed immediately the sudden shift in the child's expression. "Aroo?" he asked, peering up at the fox/crane and flitting about anxiously. He didn't think it'd get stuck, after all, people thought of things like that. Carefully, he mimed unscrewing a lid, then mewled questioningly. Or was that against the rules?

Fae struggled to keep the new, squirmy gryphon in her arms, but failed as Zanzibar sprouted his wings and gracefully glided from her hands to the pile of fruit. Scratching the back of her head, she beamed at Ieyasu. "Thanks! Although I don't think he likes to be held in one place too long... How's Sasha doing?"
Crouched on his hind legs, his striped tail coiled idly as his nimble fingers fondled for the rest of his sister's peach she had dropped. Ripping through the remains with his sharp ebony beak, he secretly watched everyone around him. Daring a move, he adjusted his handsome wings tightly to his back and continued picking at the pit.
Pueblo was fascinated! She ignored the fact that she had missed her brother's birth, but now that he was out of that confined jar she could play with him now. Stretching out of her belly, she placed her head in her hands and sat upright on her eblows."Eaty upup, Pie. You were in that jar fer a bery long time! I bet yer starved."
Her tail swished through the air, watching curiously how Zanzibar reacted. As Zanzibar begun to preen his feathers, Pueblo took this oppertunity to run her chubby hand down his backside. His pelt was thick and plush; he felt like some of her stuffed toys! Grinning silently between them, they looked at each other face to face. She was still amazed that they were the same, yet so different in shape.
Zanzibar enjoyed the petting, the attention, and curled his tail around Pueblo's wrist in an affectionate way. Turning around without so much as moving his foot paws, it was apparent of his flexability when he begun to climb up her arm in a monkey fashion. Leaping from one shoulder to the other, he draped his long tail around her neck and nibbled on her pigtail.
Pueblo giggled, highly amused of his playful antics. "Handa! Look what Pie can do!!" she said through fits of giggles. Carefuly she stood and leaned completely over to one side, spreading her arms straight out. Her pigtails fell in her face but ignored the tickling hairs.
Feeling the gravity shift (again), he quickly turned over himself and sprung from one end of her body to the side sticking up in the air. Gripping onto her forearm with both fingers, toes, and tail, his weight threw him under her arm and pulled a sloth until the child would straighten up again.
Fae watched this scene and clapped her hands, chuckling a little in spite of her excitement. "Zanzibar, you're an acrobat! But still be careful with him, Abby."
Turning back to the group, her eyes finally saught the new Aerandir and wisp. Joining in Foenix's conversation with a new guardian, she waved at Wyvern whom she noticed was staring at her noisy family. "That'd be Zanzibar and Pueblo. Pueblo's my first Aerandir- the older child there. My names Fae, guardian on Cetalu. Is this cute wisp yours?" She pointed at Osu and Makai with a smile. "Assuming you're not finished with your quest, I'd love to help!"

Nehanda gasped at the sight of Zanzibar. "Oh, wow!" Looking over at Sanar, she grinned widely. "Come on! Pie just got outta his jar! Let's go meet'm, and I'll introduce you to Peblo. She's a really good friend, an' she draws pretty pictures!"
She tugged her new friend along with her as she ran over to Pueblo. "Hee! Look at him! he's all over the place!" she reached out to help steady her friend. "Hi, Pie! I'm 'Handa.
"You're quite welcome, Wyvern." Foenix started to say something else, but she was distracted by the commotion around Zanzibar. Oh, goodness! He was a gryphon! She wanted very much to run over and meet him, but didn't want to overwhelm the little boy. Instead, she settled for waving over to Fae. "Congrats, Fae!"

Osu perked up straight away as he realised what Makai was suggesting. "Yeah! Then Sash'ka won't get stuck!" Reaching for the jar, he picked it up, intending to try to pull the lid off.
Just as he had finished calling over to Fae, Ieyasu caught sight of Osu out of the corner of his eye. Oh no.. Snapping his head around fully, Ieyasu hurridly called out to the little spellweaver. "Osu, no, no! Don't pull the lid off!"
Pausing with one hand on the lid, Osu stared over at Yassu questioningly, his tone confused. "But, but, Yassu... what happens when Sash'ka wants out? She'll get all stuck inside, and that won't be nice... we was helping.." He was confused and getting a little distressed. Why wasn't Yassu letting them let Sash'ka out? They were only trying to be helpful...
Scrambling to his feet, Ieyasu quickly covered the few paces to Osu and Makai. Crouching down beside them, he could see that he'd need to explain to the children. Taking a gentler tone than his urgent call a moment earlier, he spoke to them. "Sasha will come out of the jar herself when she's ready. She won't get stuck in there, honestly. When you were born, you were big and strong enough to break out of the jar without my help, and Sasha will be too." Gently, he lifted the jar from Osu's hands. "When she is ready though, she'll break the glass, and there might be sharp bits that you could hurt yourself on. So be careful, ok?"
Osu nodded a little dubiously. He was still a bit confused, but Yassu had said it would be ok, so it must be ok. He cast a glance at Makai before looking back to Yassu again and nodding. "Ok!" Even if he wasn't to let Sash'ka out of the jar, he could still watch it, couldn't he?
Ieyasu set the jar down a short distance away, before sitting back down himself again. He looked back at Fae to answer her question. "Sorry about that. I think it looks like she's nearly ready. She's been glowing for a little while." He grinned before casting a look back at the jar again. Then, he noticed that the feather and fur had combined to form a gently hovering blue orb within the glass confines. "Eh.. make that ready now!"

"Ah." Wyv nodded in response to Fae, realizing that she'd been staring a bit obviously. "His name's Makai. And um," she went through the list mentally, having stashed it just a few moments before, "still need twine. And cloth." She nodded, adding a belated, "Nice to meet ya'll."
Makai for his part bobbed agitatedly, calming down as Ieyasu explained why opening the jar was a bad idea. He mummbled appologetically at Osu. He hadn't meant to get his new friend in trouble! This thought upset him. He'd seen consoling motions before and attempted to pat Osu on the shoulder. Of course, being a wisp, he passed right through the older aerandir, but he hoped the message came through.
Then he noticed the jar and the orb within. "Aaaah!" he cried, pointing. "Luk! Luk!" He was going to learn these mouth-sounds, and learn them soon.
Attracted by her ward's cries. Wyv turned to the jar. "Wow," she commented to no one imparticular. "Day a firsts, innit?"
(( Ieyasu mentioned getting the cloth, if you wanted to help out on the quest, Fae, so that leaves just the twine unaccounted for.))

Sanar grinned at the sight of the newest gryphon, running along with 'Handa. "Lolo Pie, Peblo," she said, waving a hand in greeting to the dark colored gryphon and the other Aerandir child when they reached them. "M'Sanar, nice ta meet cha."
Chao threw a look over her shoulder, gaze attracted to the glowing jar she laughed warmly, nodding lightly at Wyv, "it, seems like whenever the islanders get together there's a few emergences, aren't there?" she commented, thinking of the summer festival.

Fae beamed at Foenix's complement and geustured thanks with a grin; she was truely excited about her new playful charge.
The girl quarked an eyebrow at Wyv and frowned. "I know I have twine, but it's in my home...on Cetalu. No matter, I think we have an island messenger, and I will send it to you asap!"
Finally tired of hanging upside down, he released his wings and gave a few jostled flaps. Curling around in mid-air, his long tail streamed behind his small body like a kite and flew around Nehanda and Sanar. Making a figure eight between the other two children, he landed on Nehanda's shoulder and cocked his head. "Cheet?" He looked between the three children before lowering her head in a sader fashion. Even his tail went limp.
"Hoi Sanar," Pueblo greeted their new friend. So there were growned up Aerandir on this island. Now she could ask about this new place and paint new pictures!
She giggled to herself as she watched Zanzibar fly around with great arodynamics and land on her best friend's shoulder. But he seemed different suddenly and walked over to stroke his back. "What's wrong, Pie?" Blinking, her ears started twitching and shifted her eyes. What were those.. murmuring sounds?

((Fae, if Pueblo can also hear the sounds, then I'm assuming that everyone can. If I'm wrong, Ilemme know so I can edit my post!))
Nehanda reached up automatically to support Pie when he landed on her shoulder. He was very soft, and she stroked a gentle hand over his flank. But when he suddenly drooped over her, she added the other hand. Had she done something wrong? He looked so upset!
Even as Pueblo did, Nehanda grimaced and shook her head. There was something . . . but she couldn't quite figure out what felt wrong to her. Why was Pueblo - oh, what was that sound? It was so incredibly faint . . . were there actually words? Nehanda looked over at Sanar to see is she could also hear the noises. "Do you hear dat?"
Foenix, who was watching the four carefully, frowned. Something wasn't right. "Fae?" Gesturing for the other woman to come with her, she stood and started over toward the little group.

Sanar smiled, giggling at the gryphon's actions before he settled and seemed to get... sadder all of a sudden? "Pie oki?" she asked, a confused look crossing her face when Handa asked if she was hearing anything different, she twitched her ears and flicked them about, hoping to catch a bit of what her friend was talking about.
As Foenix left Chao followed the other woman's gaze to the group of Aerandir. Paranoid maternal insticts kicked in and she quickly followed after her. Had something bad happened?

At Makai's excited sounds and pointing, Osu followed the wisp's gaze to the jar sitting on the ground. It had changed! Was that Sash'ka getting ready to come out now?? Bouncing to his feet, the spellweaver followed Makai's example and gestured ecstatically at the hovering blue orb. "Sash'ka's doin' sumthin!"
A soft clinking sound could be heard as the orb nudged against the inside of the glass jar. Then, the clink grew louder and the jar abruptly shattered, with the soft blue orb rolling out onto the glass. Distinguishable features began to form from the orb - tail, wings, limbs and a head. The newly born gryphon rolled to a stop, little pieces of the safety glass clinging to her striped fur and feathers. Sashen'ka had emerged.
Seeming a little bemused, the young Aerandir looked around herself, giving a high pitched series of chirps. She then gave her head a shake and experimentally spread her dark wings, sending little pieces of the jar tumbling to the ground.
For a moment, Ieyasu simply stared as the gryphon formed from the glowing sphere. Even if he had seen it before, it didn't make it any less incredible. Wow.. After the brief pause, his face split into a grin, and he hurried over to make sure that the tiger/osprey was alright.
Osu had stared in awe as Sashen'ka was born. So she did manage to get out of the jar herself. And that was so awesome! Bouncing up and down on the spot, Osu flapped his wings excitedly a few times. "Is that Sash'ka!? That was soo cool!"

((Just to point out, Chao, Sanar can only hear the murmurs unless she's touching Zanzibar or vice versa. n.n ))
Fae was already to her feet and looked at Zanzibar drooped on Nehanda's shoulder. Not sure what this meant, she could only watch him before he started moving again.
Suddenly upright again, he crooked his dark head around to find the source of that familure sound. Golden eyes finally pin-pointing Sashen'ka, he gave an excited shrill and dived off of the Aerandir child's shoulder. Giant wings opened at the last minute, daring as a torpedo, and soared over to the newly arrived gryphon. Waving his front paws in mid-air, they touched the so-desired ground and opened his beak to give a welcoming chitter. His tail stood much like a cat's, observing this other gryphon's striped tail. She was much bigger than he, but that didn't seem to phase him at all!
Dumbfounded, she watched Zanzibar ditch them just like that. Pouting, she looked up to her guardian and whimpered. "Does Pie not like us?"
Fae didn't have any time to try and catch him, considering how he flew between her legs anyway. But it finally made sense to her and turned to her confused child. "Of course he does, Abby. But, I think he just felt small around all of you and wanted someone of his own type to play with. Another gryphon. But that doesn't mean he doesn't want to still play with you! It looks like Ieyasu's gryphon just came, so why don't you go greet her? That way all of you can play together before we have to go."

At Fae's words, Foenix checked her watch and winced. "Hmmm, yeah. That might have to be soon for us. It's gonna take a while for us to walk back over to Cetalu." But that wasn't something she was too worried about right now, with two brand-new gryphons in their midst! Since she was there now, she knelt down beside the babies and smiled at them. They were both so incredibly cute!
Nehanda looked somewhat crestfallen when Pie left her for Sashen'ka, but she quickly perked up and hurried to greet the second newcomer. "What's her name? Sashken? She's really pretty! Looks all fierce and stuff."
She rubbed the back of her neck and frowned a little. Those weird sounds had disappeared as soon as Pie had left her shoulder. "Um, Peblo? Is there some'ting special 'bout Pie? I wonder what those noices were.

((aha! Okay Fae, I edited my post <3 ))
Sanar perked at the sound of breaking glass, wings flicking as she caught sight, not only of the newly arrived gryphon but of the remains of the jar. Sliping away for a moment she quickly found a shard of the dull glass and slipped it into her bag before turning her attention fully to the gryphon.
"'Lolo Sashken," she said, leading on her knees and taking in the new gryphon with a warm smile and a flick of her tail.
"Gryphons, gryphons everywhere," Chao giggled slightly, relieved that everything seemed to be as normal and alright as it ever was. The teen stayed where she was so that the gryphon didn't feel too crowded, settling for examining the newest Aerandir with a smile from afar.

Makai also cheered happily, imitating Osu's bouncing. He wondered if he look liked that. Did the jar break for him too? He settled for wavng happily at the new gryphons, first at Pie, then at Sashen'ka. He bobbed back a bit, retreating over to Wyvern. A lot had happened, and now he was getting drained.
Wyv smiled. It seemed newly- hatched? awakened? - gryphons were a cureall for sours moods and watching the aerandir group chased away the bad memories of what caused her to miss the summer festival.
"Twine?" she said, belatedly realizing yet another person was offering to help her with Makai's items. "Ah, thanks, that'd be great." As Makai resumed his customary position fliting about her head, she shooed him off, to which he giggled delightedly. "Be a good boy, Makai. Say thanks to all the nice people who are helping us out." The sense of community here was overwhelming, but somehow, Wyvern found she didn't mind.
Makai fluttered, vocalizing eager, agreeing sounds. He didn't really understand why of course, but today was a fun day and he was feeling... not so difficult. He was still interseted in the new gryphons, but settled for watching them for now.

Doris was so busy trying to remember names and faces that she almost lost track of Tayte. She managed to spot him, gnawing on some type of foodstuff or other. She made her way toward him and scooped the little gryphon in her arms, afraid that he might get in trouble or eat too much. If he ate too much, then he'd get cranky, and that was the last thing she wanted right now.
But Tayte seemed to have had his fill. He squirmed out of Doris's arms and weaved into the crowd, looking for attention and perhaps a nice pat or two.
