The vibe he was giving off made her feel like he was going to hurt her, or eat her, or both. She wrapped her arms around herself tightly as she watched him waiting for him to make a move and mentally prepared herself to either run or fight. However, she wouldn't have much a fighting chance since he looked strong and he was bigger than her. It would be easy for him to subdue her. Lucy shuddered as she continued to think of all these possibilities. After some time, the man spoke and his voice made Lucy squeak. She had expected him to give her an ultimatum or declare that he was going to kill her, instead, he asked her to stop looking at him fearfully and reassured her that he would not hurt her. However, Lucy being paranoid didn't really believe him. She remained frozen at where she was as he asked for her name. The scared rabbit remained silent but eventually responded. "L-Lucy," she replied, her voice cracking.

Never say that you think you've been through it all, Never say that you think you've seen it all, Never say that life can't get any worse Lucian Slade Lucian gritted his teeth, silently counting to ten and trying to keep from snapping at rabbit girl when she remained quiet after he'd asked her name. Being patient was not in Lucian's nature. However, since he had decided to try to avoid giving the girl a heart attack, he forced himself to remain quiet until she finally answered. Saying her name was Lucy, her voice cracking a bit on the word. The only word she spoke. Lucian wasn't much of a talker. And apparently neither was the girl. Well, this should take awhile, he thought sarcastically.
Lucian forced himself to relax, biting down on his tongue. Before finally dragging in a deep breath and releasing it slowly. "Is there any. . . particular reason you look like you're about to run, or have a heart attack or something?" he asked. He thought back to Tajmina, she hadn't freaked out just at the sight of him. It hadn't been until he'd gotten angry at his former boss's son that she'd taken off. So what was this girl's deal? Lucian shook his head at the thought. It didn't really matter to him, did it?
Then again, if it didn't matter to him, why did he feel guilty about frightening Tajmina?

After she had spoken her name, Lucy's gaze flickered around nervously as if to search for any hope of escape or saving. She desperately wanted to run away and hide in a safe space, away from the scary world. Suddenly, Lucy could hear the man take in a slow breath which made her heart drop. She recognized that sound, it was a sound the men would make when they were just about to break. Oh no, he was angry, he was really angry. Lucy bit her lip as she looked down at the ground. She could feel the tears coming, but she couldn't let them fall! That would only angry him more. As she attempted to hold the tears back, the demon spoke. Lucy didn't understand at first so it took her a while to process what he was saying. Was her desire to escape that obvious? Wait, did that anger him? "I-I'm sorry!" Lucy whispered. "I-I didn't meant to..." she continued as her rabbit ears flattened against her head.

Never say that you think you've been through it all, Never say that you think you've seen it all, Never say that life can't get any worse Lucian Slade When Rabbit Girl apologized, then started stuttering slightly again, Lucian gritted his teeth, dragging in a deep breath. Had Rabbit Girl been a boy, Lucian just might have hit him out of annoyance. But she wasn't. She was a girl. A frightened girl, at that. And even Lucian couldn't do something like that. Hell, even as much as Lucian liked to fight, he hadn't actually killed anyone. Well, anyone innocent, that was. But that was another story and one Lucian didn't care to think about right now. Releasing the breath, he looked back toward the girl again, her ears flattened against her head, and looking ready to bolt out of the library the first chance she got.
Lucian's patience was wearing thin. He could barely get an answer out of the girl, and whatever answer she gave was just one short sentence. Well, if that's what he got for trying to be nice. . .
Sighing, Lucian suddenly stood up. "I'm leaving before you have a heart attack or something," he grumbled. Turning to leave, he grumbled over his shoulder, "Enjoy the library." Sarcasm was thick in Lucian's voice as he headed for the door, but at least he had kept from losing his temper. Actually, Lucian began to realize that his temper had deflated and it was mostly just his usual annoyance he was feeling. Well, not exactly, he still had that nagging feeling that he should apologize to Tajmina for what happened earlier. Maybe he should go do that, since Rabbit Girl obviously wanted him to leave.

At this point, Lucy was freaking out and the tears had begun to fall. She was ready to run and fight but instead, the man growled and got up. Lucy had covered her eyes with her hands, and was looking at him through her fingers; watching as he left. For some reason, she felt even more panicked that he was leaving... Especially, when she saw something move in the shadows. Oh no, it was back, the monster was back to eat her! Lucy's eyes widened as she jumped to her feet suddenly and ran to where Lucian was. "It's coming!" Lucy screamed as she grabbed onto Lucian. She held onto him like a scared child, except she was an adolescent girl with rabbit ears, and wearing a rather revealing outfit. Oh, and she was also a paranoid individual with a mild case of schizophrenia. ooc: sorry if lucy is unreasonable with her fear. it's her character... hope that hasn't put you off D:

Never say that you think you've been through it all, Never say that you think you've seen it all, Never say that life can't get any worse Lucian Slade Lucian had nearly reached the door when Lucy suddenly screamed about something coming. He didn't even have a chance to turn around before she started grabbed onto him. Lucian frowned. He didn't like people grabbing onto him. However. . . Lucian resisted his first instinct to shake her off. Instead he looked from Rabbit Girl, who he let keep a death grip on him for the moment, back toward the library. Trying to see what she was talking about. He scanned the library, not seeing anything. Well, except shadows and other normal things.
Sighing, Lucian looked down at Lucy. "What, exactly, is coming?" he asked. "I don't see anything." Lucian looked away from Lucy around the library. Nope, still nothing.
Although it did make him start to wonder if maybe it wasn't exactly him per say that she was afraid of. Maybe something else had scared her before he came in? That made sense, with her saying something was coming, and the fact that he hadn't actually done anything to her. The odd thing was, Lucian normally didn't like to deal with people in general. So why he was suddenly not in such a hurry to leave her alone if she might get hurt, he didn't know.
OOC: No, no, no. Of course not! I like Lucy. =) I actually had planned on Lucian turning around if Lucy hadn't followed him, lol. x) And sorry if Lucian is a little. . . well, rude. I might tone him down a bit so he doesn't scare Lucy. xDBecause just when you think, There's nothing left that can hurt you, You find out that, You haven't even begun to experience, What true Hell can be

She was too preoccupied staring into the dim library, her eyes flickering around wildly. It was coming, it was coming to get her! It was there, hiding, waiting, hiding and waiting. She was so scared that she hadn't realized she was still crying; crying and holding onto the scary demon she was terrified of. "It's there, it's there..." Lucy whispered. Her utter fear would make anyone think that her fear was true, yet it also revealed just how paranoid she was. She was always a jumpy person and terrified of everything that her true personality didn't have the opportunity to show herself. Lucy was a rather pleasant individual to be around. Except now, she's scared and sobbing. And it will probably get worse when she realizes she is touching Lucian. ooc: oh that's good to hear! and nuu, i like the way lucian is now. don't change him xD

Never say that you think you've been through it all, Never say that you think you've seen it all, Never say that life can't get any worse Lucian Slade Lucian frowned, looking from Lucy to where she was looking at in the library. He still didn't see anything. But she was acting like there was something there, and it was actually pretty convincing. Even to someone like Lucian. Looking back to her, Lucian sighed. Great, now Rabbit Girl was crying. Someone annoying him was one thing, a girl crying and acting terrified made even someone like Lucian not sure how to handle it. Actually, it left Lucian feeling pretty awkward. What did he know about how to deal with crying girls?
Sighing, Lucian tried to pull out of the death grip Lucy had on him. "Fine. I'll go look," he grumbled. Pulling away from Lucy, Lucian walked off across the library. He looked behind the curtains on the window, and behind the couch. And a couple of other places that anyone or anything could be hiding. Finding nothing, Lucian grumbled to himself that he'd known there wasn't anything there and walked back over to Lucy.
It was probably a mistake, he realized in hindsight, since the girl was already acting like she was going to have a heart attack, but he didn't think about it until after he'd leaned over and put both of his hands on her shoulders to try to get her attention, since she hadn't seemed to have heard him a moment ago. "There is nothing here, besides us, alright? Now knock off the crying and tell me what it is you think you saw," Lucian said. Alright, so maybe that came out a little harsh, but Lucian wasn't known for being kind and caring after all. The fact that he'd even bothered to look around the library at all was already out of his normal behavior.
OOC: Lol, alright, I'll leave him as he is, then. x)Because just when you think, There's nothing left that can hurt you, You find out that, You haven't even begun to experience, What true Hell can be

Her eyes showcased pure and utter fear, while her trembling body revealed that she was losing it. She continued to stare into the dim library where she had seen the monster; the monster that was coming to get her. Suddenly, the man next to her spoke and began to move away. "N-no! D-don't g-go! I-it'll get y-you," she sobbed. The rabbit hid her face behind her hands but she watched through the spaces between her fingers, watching as Lucian checked the library. She was expecting for something horrible to happen to him, but it never came. After Lucian had checked all possible hiding places, he walked back to where Lucy stood and placed his hands on her small shoulders. She looked up at him with wide eyes, afraid he was going to hurt her. He looked angry; very angry. She nearly broke down again when he demanded for her to stop crying and speak. Lucy backed away from him and crouched down on the ground, her ears flat against her head. "I'm s-sorry, I'm sorry, s-sorry," she mumbled. ooc: gah! i apologize for the VERY delayed response Dx

Kitakki found himself looking around at books when he walked through the door "Holy crap." he laughed happily as he made his way to one of the book cases, he climbed it quickly without really looking at anything else. He went looking at different fiction books, ending up upside down while he continued to look it over moving to a chair with a book looking it over and checking it out while he flicks his tail slowly.

Never say that you think you've been through it all, Never say that you think you've seen it all, Never say that life can't get any worse Lucian Slade Lucian sighed, fighting the urge to let the curses floating through his head escape through his mouth, as he watched Rabbit Girl back away from him and crouch down on the ground. Apologizing. Again. And still not answering his question. He raised his hands and rubbed his eyes for a moment, silently counting to ten. When he reached ten, he was still gritting his teeth, but the urge to let loose with some creative curses had lessened. He dropped his left hand, letting it smack against his thigh, and ran the other hand through his hair as he studied Rabbit Girl for a long moment.
He was use to people being scared of him. That just came with his attitude, and was something Lucian usually liked, most of the time. Well, use to. Before he'd been kicked to Earth, Lucian had loved it. After he'd been kicked to Earth, he still liked it. . . but over the centuries he'd started to develop those annoying. . . pesky. . . little feelings. He blamed it on being around humans for too freaking long. Must be contagious or something, he thought bitterly. It was rather frustrating.
As he watched Rabbit Girl, however, Lucian was starting to get the feeling that it wasn't exactly him that she was afraid of. She'd been acting like there was some monster or something in the library, but yet Lucian had found nothing of the sort when he'd searched. Not even a hint that something had been there. So maybe something had spooked her, and she was just scared of everything? Lucian wasn't sure, this was out of his comfort zone, after all. So in all honestly, he was pretty clueless as to what was going on with the girl. Clueless, needless to say, was not something Lucian liked to be.
Dropping his other hand, he shook his head. "Since you apparently think there's. . . something in here," he started. "How about we leave? And go some place you don't think there's something hiding, and you can tell me what the hell you thought you saw?" Lucian suggested. He wasn't sure why he was curious what Lucy thought she had seen, or why he was even bothering to talk to her. It wasn't like him. But Lucian refused to try to figure it out. Instead, he thought that if she were so afraid of the library that maybe by taking her somewhere else, he could finally get an answer out of her.
OOC: It's alright, it happens. I've been busy, anyway, lol. xDBecause just when you think, There's nothing left that can hurt you, You find out that, You haven't even begun to experience, What true Hell can be

It didn't help that her paranoia wasgetting the best of her. She covered her eyes as if it would hide her from the monster and Lucian, but she knew that wasn't possible. She would need to find some little corner or space that felt safe and would actually hide her. However, she wasn't in any position to do such a thing since she was currently freaking out over an imaginary monster. The fear of the monster, or just about everything would bring another question to one's mind; why was Lucy so scared of everything? Sure, her life hasn't been the nicest or most comfortable, but it wasn't the worst either. She had been traveling with nice circus before where almost everyone was kind to her. They were basically her family; it was the closest thing to a family she had anyways. Maybe it was because she was so sheltered from the outside world that she began to become dependent with that little world. Anything that was different from her usual lifestyle became scary. The schizophrenia and paranoia grew from that dependency resulting in her fearful and cautious nature. The circus falling apart didn't help either since that really screwed her up because her world had fallen apart and she was being hunted down after that. Lucy was still uncomfortable with her new environment which was Trinity Castle so her anxiety was normal, yet it was extreme. When Lucian spoke, Lucy kept her head down but eventually looked up at him since his voice didn't sound as angry anymore. It still had an intimidating tone to it, but she was able to bear it for the most part. "Okay..." she mumbled as she stood up and wiped the tears away.

Never say that you think you've been through it all, Never say that you think you've seen it all, Never say that life can't get any worse Lucian Slade Lucian watched as Lucy finally stood up, wiping her face. Probably wiping off the tears, he guessed, since it had looked like she was crying. That was something, even after centuries on Earth, Lucian was still not use to seeing. It was weird to him, and certainly never something he'd done himself. The first person he'd seen crying, Lucian had thought had something wrong with their eyes or something.
She agreed to leave the library, and Lucian didn't say anything. Instead, just walking over to the door and opening it. Personally, he was anxious to leave the library. Mostly because he had a little bit of hope that maybe once she did, he could actually get some kind of an answer out of her. After opening the door, Lucian stood there with his hand on the door knob, waiting on Lucy. "Where do you want to go?" he asked. Thinking that maybe if he left the decision up to her, she'd pick some place she felt comfortable and wouldn't freak out.
It didn't even cross Lucian's mind that maybe she didn't even know the castle layout. Those kind of things just weren't things someone like Lucian bothered to think of.
OOC: Sorry for the short post. Where do you want to send them to?Because just when you think, There's nothing left that can hurt you, You find out that, You haven't even begun to experience, What true Hell can be

Maybe she was more scared than waht she initially thought. She was so preoccupied with making them stop that she almost didn't hear Lucian's question. She glanced up at him with large grey eyes, unsure of what to say. Where should they go? She obviously didn't know, or rather she was unable to think of a somewhere to go. All she knew was that she wanted to leave the library. The monster could still be hiding in here... Lucy shrugged her shoulders slightly as her response. She didn't know and would probably end up following Lucian. That was another flaw of Lucy's; she tended to follow strangers who could tolerate Lucy, and show her some kindness. She was too naive to what most men wanted from her; or anyone for that fact. Lucy would follow a murderer if they were to be kind or nice to her and they weren't scary. ooC: Lucian's room LOL if you don't mind. lucy isn't thinking straight
