Blossom idly watched a scrap of paper blow past, skimming against the cobblestone road. Still no one. Maybe I really would be better off just returning to the Cafe and getting some baking done. But... but then if they show up...
"Aaaugh, why is this so difficult?" Blossom muttered under her breath, staring hard at the street. She rested her cheek against her hand, fingers curled against her palm. "Why'd I even bother dressing up, anyway? There's no point to it..." Blossom bit back a sigh, focusing on the cobblestones. She tapped her toes together and was about to stand up when she heard a voice in her ears, presumably addressing her.
"Oh, hey! Fancy meetin' you here, O Giantess." Blossom looked up and pouted at Dietrich. Just as they had given her the nickname, Blossom always felt it necessary to try to defy it before giving up and simply responding to it casually. It's certainly better than straight-up short jokes... "Yeah, yeah. How are you doing, Dietrich? You certainly are looking better." Blossom stood, pausing to dust the dirt off of her dress, before Dietrich's voice suddenly turned hesitant.
"That, uh. That's a, uh, neat flower you got, there. Sorta, uh. Like this... one."
She froze. "...What?" Blossom looked back over to him. No bedhead, tidy shirt, white rose, clean trou--
White rose.
The memories of the previous Valentine's Day washed over her; the mysterious arrow that had cast some sort of bizarre love spell and Blossom mooning all over Dietrich like some sort of stupid love-struck preteen. Her face immediately burned bright red, which only made her widened blue eyes stand out even more, and she opened her mouth uselessly. He... he was... He was her date? She was sure, somewhere, Ganon was laughing about this. Blossom's hands found their way to her face, ineffectively trying to hide the insistent blush as she peeked out at Dietrich between her fingers.
All she could do was let out a little embarrassed squeak. "...Eep."

Saifer At this point, Saifer was entirely certain that his date wasn't coming. While admittedly he didn't know if this was a good thing or not, he did feel rather dejected. Like he'd been stood up for an actual date (which this hardly qualified as). Rolling his eyes and trying to shake the feeling that he'd been cheated out of something significant, the thief boy dropped the teddy bear where he'd been standing and simply walked away. Saifer didn't really have anywhere in mind, but it beat just sitting around the gate area and clutching a stuffed animal.Alternatively to the above, Saifer got onto his motorcycle and drove off into the sunset, making sure to pick up a prostitute along the way. It is important to note that in the following events after said motorcycle ride occured, a condom was not used. Just putting that out there.

Ninja_Maiden "How odd," a voice in Lance's head commented. "I didn't think you'd give up on rescuing a cute girl so fast." Lance stopped dead in his tracks and turned around, facing the back of the giant man who was disappearing into the distance. He sighed and facepalmed at the voice inside his head. "Aah~ I guess you're right. This isn't like me...but it's not really my problem, is it?"
"...right?"
He didn't get an answer. Not that he really needed it to begin with.
"...GRUUAAAAARGHDAMMIT!" he yelled out as he bolted off after the tiger laguz. "Anyone, stop that man! The man kidnapping that woman! Someone help me, he's an alleged rapist!" he screamed as he flew through the square, gaining on the tiger with each moment.
Might as well keep up a running gag, even if it spelled the doom for any positive relationship with the tiger laguz.

While the writer was facepalming and laughing from what was happening due to her inability to participate because of the incident, we would continue where we left off.
The tiger was running off with the shopkeeper over his shoulder, looking for a safe place.
Where was the tiger going? Unknown, but as long as Leena was safe and away from the bomber, it was fine with him. However, just where in Eyris was a safe place to go? To the Duke’s Head? Nah, the regular customers would think differently if they saw him entering with a woman on his shoulder. The Hostess’ Café? He did want to have a talk with those members about their event, but it would have the same scenario as the Duke’s Head. Maybe her shop? … Well, it’s Leena’s shop, so it would make sense to take her there. At least she would be safe being in her shop than hanging around with that lunatic. Who knew what sort of crazy scheme that person had?
Before the tiger was about to go to her shop, he heard a shout behind him.
“Anyone, stop that man! The man kidnapping that woman! Someone help me, he’s an alleged rapist!”
…The HELL?!
His eyebrow and ears twitched. He bared his fangs. First, he was accused of being a rapist when he was trying to get that b*****d to pay for property damages at the Duke’s Head after the bomber ran off, and now this?! Getting accused of being a kidnapper? Oh… that pissed Rajin badly.
Angry over the accusation he was given and forgetting that he was carrying Leena, Rajin slammed his feet fully stop, creating small cloud of dust when he slid a little. He then turned around and ran, headed back toward the bomber at full speed.
When the distance was close together between him and the bomber, Rajin extended his freed arm out, clotheslining the bomber across the chest. However, the tiger didn’t stop there. He continued running. Blinded by his anger, he was running toward the fountain. He accidentally tripped over the fountain’s edge, sending the three to fall into the fountain.
The tiger quickly stood up, wiping the water off his face. Although he was a wet p***y completely soaked, he didn’t give a damn about it. What matter was to get that b*****d. Looking around, he spotted the bomber near him. Not wanting the lunatic escape from him like the last time he did, Rajin quickly grabbed him by the arm and held it tightly. He pulled him up close so the bomber could see his ill-tempered face.
“You know, you’re really starting to piss me off with all these false accusations you’ve put on me.” Rajin sneered. His freed hand clutched together, creating a fist. “I was going to let you off unharmed after all the bullshit you pulled the last time, but you tick me off. So give me one good damn reason why I shouldn’t beat you into a bloody pulp?”
Rajin, Rajin, Rajin, you really need to take some anger management class to control your temper.

Meanwhile in another part of Eyris, the paladin was fidgeting about this blind date with Tibarn, wondering if it was a good idea or not.

With this staff, and with this light I pray... ◉ × Victoria × ◉ Although she wasn't waiting long, Victoria was waiting long enough to get slightly bored. She wondered if the person that she was supposed to meet in the courtyard was really coming. The lady begun to hum a soft song to herself, just to relieve her boredom. At least it was peaceful out here. She couldn't imagine the mischief that was happening with the others.
Before she was about to start looking elsewhere for her date, Victoria heard some footsteps close by. The bishop turned around, and just as she did, a blue-haired young man fell over his feet! "By St. Elimine! Are you okay?" asked Victoria, making a run for the man with clumsy feet. Luckily he recovered, and was standing up just fine. "That was a close call..." she said, sighing softly. "I didn't bring my heal staff with me today."
Something caught her eye. The man had dropped something! It was a flower. It was a... pink carnation? So this person was going to be her date? He didn't look refined or noble, but something about him was sweet. "So, it will be you and me today!" Victoria began, grinning. "I'm Sister Victoria. It's a pleasure to meet you. I wonder what you want to do on this little date of ours?"₪ ☼ Elimine’s Light ☼ ₪
That we shall make it through the darkest day.

These gems, look at how they shine!● + Leena + ●
Wait a minute. What was this guy talking about, being a "pro"? Was she missing something? Before she could react though, the black-haired one pulled her and the cloaked man into a sort of group hug. "Um, what's going on here, really?" the shopkeeper asked. Maybe the black-haired man was not so sad after all?
And then when he called the other one "Raj", for some reason that was familiar. Before she could think on it, the cloaked on spoke. She knew that voice! "Rajin? I was just outside-"
Leena never finished her sentence before the laguz lifted her up over his shoulder. "H..Hey, what are you doing, Rajin?! What's gotten into you?" Leena asked quickly, flailing as she tried to get loose. At first it seemed like the other one Rajin was talking to was going to leave them alone.
But then he gave chase!
And some of his words were making this situation really, really awkward.
"Rajin, what the hell is he talking about?!" Leena said in a more angry tone. She was about to say more, but then the fountain came in plain sight.
"LOOK OUT!!!"
But it was too late. In one big splash, the three of them crashed into the fountain. Leena came to the surface, frowning that her formal wear was now completely drenched. Rajin didn't show any signs of wanting to give up his fight either. Stepping out of the fountain's waters, the shop keeper grabbed a hold of his arm, so that he wouldn't think about swinging. "Knock it off! Do you want to get arrested? This guy's clearly not in his right mind!" He really wasn't. Nothing else could explain Lance's sudden change in mood from sadness to happiness in such a short time.

((...really?)) Lance's mouth gaped wide open as the lumbering beast skid to a halt. What the-- was his thought, before Rajin finally stopped coming to a halt and started running back towards him. That certainly made the chasing much easier, but...
Hang on, was he going to attack him?
The giant tiger laguz stretched out his arm, running full speed at Lance, a menacing look in his eyes.
"You have got to be kidding me..." Lance groaned under his breath. It was as if the tiger had expected Lance to react in even the smallest matter. But it was painfully obvious what the tiger was trying for, what with his giant build, his big arms...it was as if he moved in slow-motion.
Lance bent his knees as he ran before hopping up slightly in the air to gain momentum, before sliding on his knees in a true rock star manner. He easily avoided the blow to his body by skidding across the ground under the laguz's arm. Lance quickly jumped back up to spare his knees the displeasure, and he turned around in time to see Rajin clothelining a completely random, innocent, weak bystander. "Ooooh that has got to hurt!" Lance flinched at the sight, suppressing a slight giggle. The surprise in the random man's eyes as he was carried along was priceless, before the trio crashed into the fountain. Lance calmly approached the fountain to gloat a little. However, Lance raised his eyebrow in a peculiar manner at the sight that unfolded. The giant tiger sprung up like a jack-in-the-box from the water, as he clutched the man's arms tightly. "Umm...Raj? Hellooo~? Over here?"
As Rajin threatened the poor guy, the innocent man's mouth started frothing before his eyes rolled backwards as he lost consciousness. Lance snickered. "Come on, Raj, that guy doesn't even look like me...make sure you apologize to him and the lady for putting them into trouble," he mused, as he giggled at the sight.

Apparently a small amount of influence was needed to get Lance back in the ring. Cactus just chuckled impishly as the events unfolded. Lethe had a hard time believing Marina's story about being one of the best at ...whatever she does, but if Tibarn trusted her, this beorc woman must have earned it. The laguz decided to give her a little credit. But not too much. Can't have too much faith in someone she just met today. She'd have to see for herself what Marina was capable.
As her date became flabbergasted upon realizing her true gender, Lethe gave a "humans are really slow" toned sigh. Her expression then turned to a mild glare at the joke. Obviously not finding any humor in the suggestion of kissing. "I'm not happy about this humiliation either. Unfortunately, we're stuck with each others' company until sunset according to the rules." It seemed like they had no choice but to cater to this event.
The ignorant feline looked around as if she wasn't sure how to ask what's on her mind. So she put those curious thoughts bluntly. "So what do you do on "dates" anyway?"

The Hawk King grinned. "Breakfast it is, then!" And suddenly a pair of majestic wings spread wide as he stood, taking the Dame Knight's hand in his own. A beautiful lady for company, a beautiful day for flying, and a nice tailwind carrying the smell of the sea from the distant eastern coast to the skies over Eyris.
"Relax," he murmured, pulling Isadora suddenly against his chest, one arm wrapping securely around her lower back to hold her tight. "Trust me. I won't drop you. I've only ever done that once, and it was on purpose," he added with a playful smirk. His wings beat once, twice, then arched high and thrust down hard, launching the two of them straight up into the air. He beat them thrice more, laughing, each thrust of his powerful wings driving them up higher and higher above the city, until he caught the westbound wind and, arms tight around Isadora, let it carry him into a thermal rising off the sun-baked town square. Warm air filled the space beneath his wings and they rose like angels into the sky as he laughed a deep, hearty laugh, his long hair blowing wildly in the warm wind.
"Watch out, now, relax... Not gonna drop you," he murmured again, and then he let his grip slack, quickly turning her in his arms, and then regripped, holding her back against his broad chest, his arms wrapped tight around her one more, one under her chest, one crossing her stomach to hold her hip. "Just relax and let the wind hold you straight... and let me show you how I see the world." They were quite high up now, on a cushion of warm air as he circled above the city, the two of them facing down toward the sprawling streets and buildings.
And then he folded his wings and dove. They dropped quickly, streaking through the air so quickly that the wind became deafening as they tore a hole through it, and then his wings snapped as they passed between two walls, skimming over the deep water flowing through the aqueduct. He flew like only a laguz could; darting deftly under the high bridge, folding his wings and spinning through a tall archway over the street, passing under and over banners and decorations strung between buildings by the Host Club, and then his wings beat the air as they climbed high again, and that deep laugh had his chest vibrating warmly against her back as joie de vivre filled the Hawk King from head to toe. "You alright? No more shenanigans, I promise," he teased, coasting over the eastern wall with a leisurely soar, keeping the wind behind his wings and carrying his date over the forest path toward Bad Noving.
Dietrich coughed a bit, staring at Blossom for a moment. It was... yeah, incredibly awkward. Everybody knew by now what had happened, and everyone made a point of avoiding the subject, but after the previous year, this was a whole different level of weird on top of the matter of her recent tragedy. "Yeah, uh... been doing a lot better, now. Three months clean, official. As of last week." He forced a smile and moved cautiously closer. "Look, I, uh, I ain't like... I didn't come here expectin' nothin', okay? But, like, Grandmom, I think she maybe does, and she's got this whole picnic thing, right? So I figure... we're just friends." Stop rambling man get to the point. "Look anyway I'm just saying like I don't wanna seem like I'm tryin' to get at anything" What did I just say come on just wrap this up and shut up "and I just think like bein' friends is all I wanna do, y'know, and I'm thinkin' that's probably, like... yeah, the same for you, but I'm not gonna turn down free caterin', right, so if you wanna come with an' just hang out, uh...?" He let the question hang, feeling heat creep behind his ears. Stupid stupid stupid you sound like a ******** idiot.

Blossom nervously cast her blue-grey eyes down at Dietrich's shoes upon being subjected to his direct stare. She couldn't bring herself to look up at him again just yet, instead rubbing her upper arm over the white fabric of her dress. "R-Really?" Blossom managed to look back at Dietrich when he announced his continued sobriety. Her face lit up at that; after all the training with the Guard, usually with Chickenwire, and seeing Dietrich struggle either from arriving hungover or going through withdrawal, to hear him improve this much was fantastic! "That's great...! I'm really proud of you! You certainly do look like you're doing bet--" She fell silent when Dietrich moved closer and spoke up, politely allowing herself to be cut off mid-sentence.
Blossom's expression slowly shifted, the light in her eyes vanishing as they widened. "U-Uh-huh," she managed. She let him continue in relative silence, and... surprisingly enough, she managed to keep her cool. The small Hero was standing stock-still and her face was bright red and she looked ready to bolt should Dietrich suggest anything else, but Blossom hadn't passed out and she hadn't collapsed in a fit of panic. That was a start.
Bein' friends. Friends. Blossom gave a shaky chuckle and tucked a lock of hair behind her ear. "Y...Yeah, I'd... I'd like that, actually. I-I'd like that a lot." Blossom sniffed and rubbed at her watering eyes, smiling gratefully up at Dietrich. It wasn't even the commentary of ignoring his grandmother's hopes for more family, or the fact that he had directly referenced the fact that Aidan had died (and possibly as a major reason why that was why he didn't want anything further, but Blossom wasn't focusing on that part); the fact that after everything that had happened, Blossom still wasn't quite alone.
Not quite.
She couldn't quite stop the tears from starting, but she managed to calm down quickly enough to keep it from escalating into anything more embarrassing. "Th-Thank you. Really." Blossom hesitated, glancing up at Dietrich. Was the appropriate thing to do now to hug him? Should she shake his hand? Ignore the question altogether? After a moment of awkward silence, Blossom settled for giving him a pat on the back before giving him a one-armed hug, as awkward as any other hug she could give a tall dude like him due to the hilarious height difference between her and nearly everyone else. "Wh-Where is the picnic? You'll, um, you'll have to lead the way..." Blossom combed her fingers sheepishly through her hair, which was growing out quite nicely and had reached past her shoulderblades already.

"Sure, either one of those places work," he replied as Amelia offered a couple places they could have possibly gone for lunch. "I don't really know which place is better anyways so I'll let you pick which place," he said. He feels slightly bad for even offering that since he feels somewhat obligated to be more of the gentlemen and be the person to plan out this date. Unfortunately, being new to Eyris has been really ruining his abilities of being a gentlemen as proved so far.
As Alex waited for a reply for Amelia to pick which one they would go to, he started to wonder if she had even heard him in the first place. The sharpshooter wasn't really sure if he was right or not, but when he looked at her it seems for a moment that she was slightly deep in thought about something. However, she suddenly started to speak again with the offer to just walk into the general direction of the places. Alex nodded in agreement, "Sure I don't mind walking in that direction, I just hope you're not wearing any sort of shoes or footwear that are terrible for walking conditions." Alex shrugged off his earlier thought as just being slightly paranoid, but at the same time. "Would you kindly lead the way since I have no idea which way we're going."
=====================
"Y-Yeah, I' m fine," he stuttered as he finished brushing off the dirt from his clothes. His eyes quickly averted form the lady as he was slightly embarrassed by the fact he made himself look very stupid in front of who he thinks of to be, his date for this event he was tricked into. "why do I have to be so clumsy," he thought.
The swordsman suddenly was surprised when she suddenly blurted out it would be him and her today. He turned towards her and saw one more time the pink incarnation, which was the same as his. "O-Oh, my name is Oujay," he quickly bowed slightly towards her direction. "It's a pleasure to meet you." He rose back up and pondered where they would go to begin their date for the rest of the day. "Umm...w-well are you hungry? Maybe we can just start off with having some lunch together," he offered.

Amelia nodded quietly, offering Alex a smile. "Yeah. I think it's more important that we just have fun, rather than worrying about which restaurant to eat at, you know?" She folded her arms loosely under her chest and gave Alex a quiet nod. "I'll lead the way if that'll work best for us, good sir." She chuckled quietly and started to walk. "Don't worry about my shoes, by the way," she added, looking over her shoulder at Alex. "I've got boots on, and they're quite comfortable. I don't think walking will be an issue." She smiled a little wider and looked back ahead.
It was actually kind of relaxing, having her date with Alex. She didn't know him that well yet, and hopefully this afternoon would fix that, but he wasn't intimidating. Amelia knew too many people around the Watch and in Eyris at the time that pinged all her creepy-person radars. Amelia reached up and tucked a lock of hair behind her ear. "Are you in the mood for any kind of food in particular, Alex?" she asked, calling over her shoulder. The people around them were casually going about their business, paying little mind to the girl strolling past in her long, elaborate red and pink dress. "You don't have any food allergies, do you?"

"Rules? Rules were meant to be broken." Marina sighed loudly. "This whole thing is stupid. But you know, we're supposed to be meeting other people, not standing around gawking at each other all ******** day." She paused, taking another look at her 'date'. "Unless you want to do that."
"Barring that," she continued loudly, her words finding new exuberance, "Let's just talk. That's what people usually do on dates, I'm pretty sure. I haven't been on any around this world because I haven't found anyone that met my expectations. But that's neither here nor there. I'm too busy these days to settle for a fling anyway. People talk on dates. They make out, too, but we've already ruled that out." Marina shrugged. "That was a joke. Again." She paused for a moment, surveying her partner, and took particular note of the ears.
"So... you're a laguz. How about that?"

Lethe became more intrigued by Marina the more they began to talk. The beorc had an attitude unlike anyone she's met before. Her tail gently swayed back and forth under her light cloak.
She noticed Marina examining her especially her feline ears. So much for "not standing around gawking at each other all ******** day." However, there was genuine curiosity in that gaze and they were talking as well. The former Gallian captain would let it slide this time.
"For someone under the Hawk King's command, it doesn't seem like you know much about laguz," Lethe commented plainly. "Obviously you are not from Tellius, but it doesn't sound like you are a native Learanian either. Where is your homeland?"

So, seemed that he was right. This boy was his "date" for this event after all. Well this never had to be something that could lead onto being something permanent. It was just about helping people get together...right? He turned his attention back to Edward as he continued on about what he did. A mercenary eh? Sounded like what he used to do before. Looking for a new sword as well and repairs on another? He found the right guy for sure.
"Well, you certainly ended up finding the right guy!" He said with a smile. "The name's Enailios Liadon. I'm a blacksmith here in Eyris. Where I came from doesn't matter. I've been working on this art for sometime so I can help you out with those swords." He paused as Edward continued. Signing up for the event for interesting things? Sure that sounded right.
"As for me...well I'm new to town. I wanted to meet some new people, though this was not what I had in mind at all."
