Titus had no idea how reassuring his words were. If he had known he probably wouldn't have said them. Mostly he thought it made him sound cold. Like no one was worth the time and effort but who knew.

"Because going to a run of the mill bar is boring, besides you'll have just as many straight boils to chat up at this other place. Probably more so." Though at the mention of candy corn fields and the middle of no where Titus had to pause as if giving that idea some actual thought. Hmm....he hadn't thought of that.

"Fancy yourself a cowghoul and ready to wrangle you up a boil?" Titus mused with his impression of a southern accent. It wasn't bad but it was safe to say he wasn't from the south. Chuckling the demon waved down a cab. "I've picked somewhere much more exciting but its a surprise." If that wasn't suspicious enough....

"It was an amusing stop." Titus grinned, non to worried about how that made him appear. Let the crowd wonder. Also he had less of a clue about mowing fields and milking bovine so he left their conversation at that.

"All the better," Titus reassured about Riyo not liking surprises, though he frowned when the cab came to a screeching halt after she only gave one wave. Hot damn. And she only seemed to rub it in as she flicked his cheek.

"Care to show a little more leg next time?" Titus asked as he climbed into the cab after her. "Maybe if you show the driver a good shot of your panties we'll get a ride for free." He offered the best advice he had. Leaning toward the driver he whispered, though loudly as if telling him a mock secret. "They have kittens. Very tasteful."

The glare only made Titus' grin widen and the punch, while it hurt a bit, made him chuckle. He wanted desperately to rub at his arm to sooth the pain but he wasn't about to let Riyo know it hurt. "I don't think my underwear are quite as exciting as yours."

And then Riyo was there with her hands outreached to wrap around his neck. The demon just managed to reach up and take hold of her wrists to keep her from getting a good solid grip but that wasn't going to stop her from scratching the s**t out of him in the process.

"What's the matter, Princess? You seemed so pleased when the driver stopped right away. Why not give him a little peek." It was a struggle to get his words out as he fell back into the door trying to use it as leverage to keep her hands from finding his throat. Even he didn't want to be strangled in the back of a taxi cab.

"Keh, you seem rather sure of what I'm packing. Care to have a peek yourseeeeeeeaahhh!" Titus had been so intent on keeping Riyo's clawed fingers from around his neck he had forgotten the direction they were headed and the turns they would need to take. As Riyo went flying back she had managed to grab hold of his arms. The demon had no way to support himself against the force and ended up toppling toward the feline.

As the cab steadied out the two would probably find themselves in a tangle of limbs, Titus now uncomfortably close laying above Riyo trying to support himself against the door on her side so he wouldn't completely crush her. He had just turned his head to have a look at her when he realized just how close they were when he was suddenly nose to nose. "Uuuuh." He was at a loss.

And that's when the cab driver decided to be helpful and the both of them would hear a soft thud in the seat beside them. Looking over Titus spotted the protection charm only to have his cheeks darken. Was he ******** serious? WAS HE ******** SERIOUS?

Titus didn't struggle as he was pushed away, instead he stiffly moved to help taking up residence in his previous location. After he was situated he quickly put his seat belt on and clung to the arm rest on the door for good measure. Jacking cab driver.

And commence the longest car ride in history. What would have been a ten minute drive felt like an hour of awkward silence. It was borderline torture and Titus did what he could to focus out the window and forget the moment had ever happened. By the time the park actually came into view Titus was starting to revert to his usual demeanor, looking less than pleased with life and ready to make someone else suffer for it.

"Well, here we are, Ms. Boil. I think you'll find this place to be up to your specifications. Plenty of people and its not a gay bar."

"What is...." Titus turned in his seat to look at the feline. "Did you just ask what Nightmare Land was?" He looked at Riyo skeptically, a brow raised in disbelief.

"Well, Princess, let me show you," Titus made his way from the taxi tossing some money at the driver. He then turned his attention toward the park and the noises that came filtering out. The screams, the laughter, the chatter. There was even the smell of food about. Above the wall a few rides could be seen, a giant ferris wheel, and the top few loops of a roller coaster.

Titus rolled his eyes. If he didn't know better Riyo was reverting to that of a five year old. Just listen to all of her questions. Taking a step to come up behind her he took her hand with a surprisingly gentle touch and gave it a light tug.

"Why don't I just show you. And you only have to pay if you're a sucker. Come on this way," He pulled Riyo along far passed the entrance and over to the side. There, nearly out of view, was another entrance, one meant for the employees.

An elderly lady was stationed at this location checking badges as people entered. When Titus strolled up she waited for the badge to be flashed before she hit the button that unlocked the door but since Titus had no badge she did nothing.

"Can I help you?" Her voice was as course as sandpaper. She was obviously a smoker.

"We're here for an interview," Titus said without hesitation, leaning on the counter. "It's with Mr. Burnstein."

The woman seemed to gauge him for a moment, her finger tapping idly by the button. "Mr. Burnstien didn't say anything about an interview."

"It was rather last minute because I have a full schedule of classes the next few days but I really need to cash and said I could work on the weekends." Titus' face seemed genuine, it was hard to believe he was lying.

"Hmm," It looked like she was considering his words but then her eyes fell on Riyo. "And who's this?"

"Oh, she's my ride. Since I need her to drive me back and forth Mr. Burnstein said he might have a position for her too and to bring her along for an interview as well."

The woman seemed to judge them a moment longer before she finally pressed the button and the door unlocked. "Tell Mr. Burnstein to let me know the next time he has a last minute interview."

"Will, do. Where am I headed?"

"Passed the gate and to the left, its the second building on the right."

"Thanks," for a moment Titus' smile was almost charming as he took hold of Riyo's hand once again to lead her through the door and apparently passed their only security point. Once they were well out of sight of the lady letting people in Titus made his way for one of the exits into the park. "Come on."

As if realizing what he was doing Titus dropped Riyo's hand like a bad habit. The expression on his face was hard to read but a grin started to pop up at her last comment. "Lying is what I do."

They had just reached a gate and Titus forced it open before turning to Riyo and gave a slight bow to present it to her. "I present Nightmare Land." Just beyond it looked like they were entering the game area. It was noisy and busy, children and adults running around as they hopped from game to game dragging large stuffed animals along with them. Titus was right, there were indeed a lot of people here. And it wasn't a gay bar.

Waiting for Riyo to enter Titus followed and shut the gate behind them. From there he stood and waited. "So have you never been to a place like this?" He asked seeking Riyo's face for a full reaction.
