"Being scary means a lot though." But Mitsu knew what the Vetala meant, at least now. She was learning more and more what she had to offer. Sometimes the surprise when thinking you were safe was more terrifying than being faced with something scary right off the bat.
The lycan fell silent as Amrita explained a little about her past, her voice taking a sadder tone. Instantly Mitsu was regretful for having asked. It took her a moment to piece together that look with the way Amrita trailed off her sentence but soon Mitsu nodded, her hand reaching across the table to touch the Vetala's arm reassuringly. "No no, I won't say anything I promise." Mitsu said quietly. "I'm sorry. If I had known I wouldn't have asked." Though their conversation had been brief so far Mitsu felt a sort of connection to the ghoul. A connection through similar feelings. The situations were different but there was a sense of understanding between them.

"T-thanks..." Amrita managed a smile; talking about home just made her remember how much of a coward she was, which was never a comforting thought. Her hands fell from around her neck, moving for a moment to grasp Mitsu's. "I won't say anything either...a-and no, I'm sorry, I started it..." Her cold hands gave Mitsu's a light squeeze, and then slid her stitched up digits away, pondering.
Okay, now was time for something happier. Happier! Lots of happy, all the happy! Nothing came to mind until she looked around and spotted a very familiar, very lumpy figure across the room. ~*~Sigh...!~*~
"Have you ever been..." Amrita started before she leaned in closer to whisper. "in love?" Oh yes, hushed tones were called for! Very called for!

"In love?" Mitsu asked in a hushed tone, smiling as pink bloomed across her cheeks. Her eyes darted to the neighboring table again spotting Shun trying to talk to another ghoul. "Yes, I am in love." Mitsu said fondly with a content sigh before she looked around to see who Amrita had been looking to bring up such a topic.
The only person she seemed to spot was the person Amrita had been talking to prior to coming to the table. Looking back there was a bright smile on Mitsu's face. "Do you love him?" She whispered softly though it was hard to hide her note of excitement. It made her happy to see others able to pair up and be together.

Since her question, Amrita had taken to admiring the table cloth again, picking at a piece of fluff on it. This really was a very interesting table cloth. Very nice, very fluffy, easy to play with...and not a distraction whatsoever, no! Of course not!
"Aahh..." More fidgeting! Now she glanced between Christof, the table, and Mitsu. "I don't...um, I don't know what it is, but s-someone told me I do..." Love him, of course. Under the table her bare feet hooked together, toes wriggling. "I know I do like him, a lot..." Her face was flushed again, and suddenly she seemed more like the child she used to be, rather than the teenager she looked now, especially when she ducked her head. "H-he makes bats in my stomach." Mitsu needed to know this because it was very important to her; it said something when her body actually had reactions, though it didn't cross her mind that Mitsu probably wouldn't have known just how dead her senses should have been.
"Who are you in - you know - with?" She asked curiously, wondering what kind of creature would have gotten her affections.

The conversational turn had Mitsu smiling like a fool, eager to see how Amrita felt though it seemed the ghoul was confused. At least a little. Mitsu had been there too. Smiling in a reassuring way Mitsu turned to look at Shun again, gesturing toward the reaper.
"Shun is my boilfriend." Mitsu said with a sense of pride and confidence she could rarely muster with anything else. "I wasn't sure about my feelings at first I just knew I really cared about him and I liked him a lot but I was afraid he wouldn't feel the same way." She admitted, doing her best to keep their conversation hushed. "I often felt bats in my stomach too."
Mitsu tried to think of the advice she had been given but really the only thing she could recall was Lizzy telling her to wait. And wait Mitsu had. "It takes some time to really figure out for sure but I'm certain you'll make sense of it. Does he make you happy when you think about him? Do you enjoy being in his company?" Those seemed like good questions to ask oneself about the situation.

It was a good question. Why did she sign up for this. "You know... Usually I wouldn't but I guess I'm just feeling brave?" It came out as more of a question then an answer. But Tahki didn't seem to mind this or really notice for that matter. "I actually aim to be brave," There was a nervous chuckle. Coming from a gryphon who was supposed to be brave it must have sounded odd. Tahki had the noble part down at least. "Uhh.." The gryphon struggled to think of a question. Her fingers were tapping on the table at this point. "I .. uh... What would you do if some one randomly punched some one for no reason..." Tahki's found her self now still. She wasn't sure why she asked - actually. She was. The events from earlier were still fresh on her mind and she felt bad. Had she done the right thing by slapping Christof? The gryphon's ears lowered. "What would the brave thing be?"

The poor girl really was on the timid side, but he goal was rather respectable. Nodding to her in understanding, he soon glanced to the side as he spotted Mitsu sitting at a nearby table. For a moment, his features softened as he nodded silently to her before returning his attention back to Tahki. The question she asked was interesting for sure. "That would depend if there is reason for me to get involved. If two strangers were going at it, I'd probably do nothing and continue on my way for example. But there are situations where I would do something of it... whether it be to break it up or to get back as the assailant," he said in a rather calm tone. If it were Hel and Riyo going at it, he would break them up for example. Especially if they needed to be working together. And someone striking Mitsu or Xiu or a few others was something he would not stand by in the slightest.

"Oh, I see. My mistake, very sorry." The ghoul retracted her hand, looking a little hurt. She'd made a bad move already, which meant her first impression probably sucked. Why was she so bad at this? Maybe she needed to take an etiquette class, or something like that.
The doppelganger ghoul did perk up, however, when Riyo asked her question. She smiled coyly before focusing her Fear, analyzing Riyo and putting her image into her brain. With a quick POOF! sound, Riyo would be looking at a mirror image of herself. "I'm a Doppelganger." With a POP! Gene was back to her original state, still smiling.
Her smiled was banished when the gnome appeared. Her brow furrowed as she stood from the table, eyes of hate boring holes in the gnome. She tried to focus her Fear into her hands, but she has exhausted a bit of it turning in to Riyo. "Riyo, what's your favorite way to deal with gnomes?"

Okay, so the fact that this ghoul could morph into a carbon copy of her? That was impressive. The feline's face said as much. "That's-" It seemed as if the ghoul might've been about to throw Gene a compliment, but the feel of someone touching her tail made Riyo visibly tense and said appendage bristle out.
The demon's face contorted into that of utter rage, head slowly turning to look behind her. If looks could kill...
"I think it's a question better answered by example." Riyo mumbled, yanking her tail back before standing. "TO HELL WITH YOU!" Was her choice war cry of the day as she brandished her chair like a bat and swung true at 'cupid'.
"And what's your favorite way to get rid of a gnome?" While they were on the subject. It seemed quite appropriate.

The Disgruntled Cupid Gnome screamed like a small scareling ghoul and froze like a deer in headlights.

Gene truly did admire a ghoul who knew their way around Gnome displacement. She gave the bakeneko and admiring stare and a nod of approval, before taking in a deep breath. Yes, she could use some more of her Fear now.
"Well, I prefer to leave them with a little memory of our encounter." Her right hand started to shift, fingers extending and sharpening, skin growing scales. She lunged and slashed at the gnome, before standing back up and returning her hand to normal.
"Riyo, how do you feel about the Academy?" It was a vague question, but vague questions could conjure up many answers.

The scream that the gnome emitted was painfully satisfying as she gave the little turd a good whack across the face. The feline generally tried to make a good first impression on jokers and the like. Looked like the impression of the chair on his face would have to do just fine, considering her partner had taken the initiative of finishing it. Delightful.
Now that all that mess was over, Riyo replaced her chair and returned to the cushion, a content sigh escaping her mouth. She had needed that.
"That's an oddly vague question." Whether the ghoul realized it or not she wasn't sure. "I feel that it's reputation conceals it's true nefarious purposes. If you've been on a field trip, I think you'd know what I'm talking about." And if she hadn't, well... Riyo had no time to elaborate nor did she want to. "But I stay because it keeps me from a more tedious fate." Work, that is. Speaking of work...
"Do you have a job?" Most students she came across didn't, or at least she assumed by the spoiled looks on their faces.

Amrita looked over at the boil Mitsu was gesturing to, who was sitting near - and appeared to be talking to - Tahki. Oh! That was Shun? Well, that answered that! Lucky for them they ended up with close tables! The Vetala gave a meek wave to both friend and the stranger she was with, though she doubted she would be seen. It was nice to know these feelings weren't strange on the whole; it sounded like Mitsu had been in a similar situation. With little to no exprience in this, she had at one point worried that this was something strange to feel, and that made it scarier than it had to be.
"Y-yes, to both. Very much!" Amrita gave a rather lovestruck ghoul smile at the thought, hooking and squeezing her fingers together. The ghoul was apparently forever fidgeting... "Except..." She added, her expressing faltering. They were being honest, right? That was the point of this, wasn't it? She gave a few glances around and finally lifted her gaze to Mitsu. "Sometimes, when, ah, someone is in the area...I don't know, it's like...I don't feel, um, enough?" It certainly wasn't a very happy feeling and it was clear it baffled her, but it seemed to be happening less and less lately.

Unfortunately, Gene really didn't know what Riyo meant. She'd heard a few ramblings from Mot when he was on a coffee high, but only knew that there were things called Hunters, and that they were apparently unbeatable. She'd also had an encounter with them that involved a haunted house and a dissipation, but she preferred not to think on that. Was it related to a field trip though? Maybe. "I can't say I've gone on one yet. I might sign up for next one though, just to see what everyone's talking about."
Oh, work! Gene loved to talk about her work! She did have the best job in the world, after all. "Yes, I do! I'm a barista at Bloodbucks on weekends, and sometimes during the week if someone's sick. I'd like to buy it one day, actually, and turn it into my own coffee house." Her eyes fogged slightly, a tell tale sign that the ghoul was thinking of her big plans and all the dreaminess that was coffee.
Once finally back in the real world, Gene popped a new question. "You seem like a ghoul of class, Riyo. Do you come from a rich family, or did you pull yourself up by the bootstraps?"

"Feel enough?" Mitsu whispered unsure what that really meant. "Like you are numb?" That feeling was a hard one to place though Mitsu remembered feeling numb after the field trip to the haunted house. The whole experience had been a shock to her system and when they had finally returned to safety her heightened emotions had drained from her leaving her with nothing. Was that what Amrita was hinting at? If so Mitsu knew it to be terrible.
Mitsu started her own fidgeting, though this time it was with the small card sitting on the table. From the looks of it there were places to have it marked. Were they supposed to have the other person do that?
