Suri had spent most of the last hour moving from post to post in the front part of the house, checking on ticketing and refreshments and making time to greet sponsors as they arrived, a small token of a curt handshake and a nod of approval before she was off again on some other task. At some point in the night she'd traveled backstage to inform the cast that the house was open, but then she was back amongst the crew, filing through her checklist of people she needed to meet and places she needed to inspect, to make sure everything went off without a hitch.

Normally, Suri was the sort of person to keep her head cool in tough situations, to think logically when everyone else had gone insane. It was why she had been pegged for stage manager, why she'd been in charge of handling all the little petty details while the rest of the cast and crew was off in their own little world. Indeed, Suri had handled any road bump along the way with precision and skill, even reading up on all the theater lingo to keep herself informed as rehearsals went on. Equipped with the Clipboard of Many Things, the petite woman was a silent whirlwind of efficiency, seen only when needed and heard only when it was required of her.

Without the Clipboard of Many Things, however, the situation was quite different.

She'd thought that somehow it had been misplaced between sound and lighting, when she herself had been forced to let it out of her sight to travel up to the perilous catwalk, but it was nowhere to be seen by anyone on tech. There was no time for this--it was only five until curtains, and there were still so many parts of her checklist! She darted back to costumes, to props, looking over each table to make sure that her precious vault of information hadn't been moved by chance, but once she ran out of ideas, she began to pace behind stage left and stage right, looking as lost and as nervous as a lost pet.

Nevertheless, she tried to keep her composure whenever she passed another member of the crew. "Five minutes, get in places." "You're on in five, get to your mark." "Mark, what are you doing here? Get back to the catwalk, stat!" Each of her responses was less prudent than the one before, but the more she paced the less capable she was of hiding her distress. Suri was not adjusted to the feeling of one of her possessions being lost, and she was taking it worse and worse by the moment.

She appeared before a group, primly dressed in a modest business dress and short boots, though by this point her hair was starting to fall out of its neatly decorated clip, which was fashioned in the shape of a small Arthurian shield. There was the obscenely large Hillworth boy, the girl who handled props, and...her eyes glazed over the third member of the bunch. "Have any of you seen a clipboard?" the woman asked curtly, trying to stifle the sense of desperation in her normally cold voice. After an awkward pause, she added, "We're on in five, by the way."

Things are still going wrong (or not) but the show must go on. The play is upon us! So: here we are!

ACT 1

CREW

You are supposed to fix the things that go wrong and help the play run smoothly, without you there is no play! You must reroll every time a new act is posted.

1 d 10

1-2 The world is falling apart and you cannot piece it back together.

3-4 The sky is falling but with luck and a LOT of duct tape you might be able to pull it off.

5-6 Things are looking ok. Sure, things are going wrong but you're the right person to talk to.

7-8 I am God! Bring anything to me and I'll get it done!

9-10 Something's going wrong? I don't get it...

Cast:

(Only Roll if you are on stage for the current Act)

1 d 12

1, 3, 7 - There's a minor pause in your performance but nothing anyone would really notice.

2, 10, 5 - Ooops...forgot a line! But give me a second I'll recover.

11, 4, 9 - Ummm...I'm on stage? I have no idea what's going on! What's my line?

8, 6, 12 - You are brilliance personified. If you had any doubts they're gone now. Hollywood here I come!

All things considered for his first act on stage he only had the one almost serious pause. He didn’t think anyone –but- cast really noticed though as he couldn’t quite keep his gaze from darting towards the audience to see if anyone was making ‘judgment’ eyes at him. Second act? Bring it on…right? Not like he was afraid the pause was a sign of things to come…really!

The lights poured across Micah's vision and suddenly the situation was real. This was no longer some abstract idea that she was dealing with, a practice that she could pretend would always be just practice. This was... this was opening night. As she stood, blinded, eyes watering, her mind screeched to a violent halt. The pacin and anger from before gave way to something else. Had she been in another mind set it would have scared her.

Hollowness.

Of body and mind.

There was nothing. No thought, no emotion, nothing. She stood, dumb founded, on stage during her cue. Her golden eyes were wide as her mind tried to retart itself. Come on... line...

And thent he fourth wall rose. Suddenly she was alright again..Micah grinned, beginning a grand gensture to recover from her silence. Perfection. Micah easily slid into her role.

After his costume rip was seen to, much to his relief it was repaired and seem unnoticeable, Alexandre had taken to the stage. It was like Bell had said, once he stared and heard others he was able to recall his lines.

Movement was restricted to nothing too sudden, he was still on the mend and had been careful not to let on to his being injured. The only person here who knew of his injuries were Gently, and he was looking to keep it that way. It was with a movement, which was a little too sudden and grandiose gives his broken ribs, that Alexandre paused for a moment in order to push past the pain that had blossomed in his mid section. Hopefully no one had noticed the pause, or the fact he wasn't perfectly healthy.

Back on track he finished the lines he'd been in the middle of when he'd paused.

Guen watched from backstage nervously. So far, it looked like everything was going well - there had been a few mishaps, a little spilled paint on some of the costumes, but luckily they got it out mostly and it was a portion that wouldn't show anyway.

She heaved a sigh of relief. She was just grateful she wasn't in charge of anything - but still, it was going smoother than she had hoped, and she was beginning to feel a little more capable.
