At Shawn's complaint, Alba smirked and adjusted his glasses AGAIN. He may have finally discovered his calling. Too bad he was already bound to committing crimes for the remainder of his life. "Keep up the whining, and I may just make that 8 pages." He glanced around for the rest of the team, now keeping his voice lower. "Let's give... independent studies... a try, shall we? Meet back when you're ready to start those papers, hmm?" That should be enough reasoning for anyone who may be overhearing them.
Alba would wait until Asch and Shawn had both disappeared through the side exhibit before going through, himself. It wouldn't do if one got pulled aside by security for causing trouble, and then couldn't locate their "teacher." After they were safely gone, he worked his way closer to the side exhibit and eventually disappeared through the doors as well.
He didn't get to the same room as the others until after Jerome had seemingly vanished. He did happen to look up as Bro was appearing. "Yah!" He definitely did not just jump back three feet and clamp a hand over his mouth. Nope.

"..I know we're close and all," Hayes remarked as they passed into one of the smaller exhibit halls on the second floor, "but please don't ever do that again."
"Uh, yea," Aulus glanced away, "Seemed like a good idea at the time.... Jocks slap each others arses all the time you know... but then again they're probably gay. Uh, anyway, yeah, I won't." He felt really stupid now, really really stupid. He'd known the playing at boyfriends thing would go wrong somehow.
"They do?" Hayes brow crinkled - partly with incredulity, partly because he'd stopped in front of an exhibit of old pottery and was studying the location of the security cameras in the glass' reflection. "It's no big deal," he shrugged, then elbowed Aulus lightly in the side. "C'mon, look at this."
Well that was good at least. Aulus relaxed and peered at what Hayes was indicating. It was old pots, and bits of pot. "You really are a-" cameras "-total dork. What's the appeal in all this old crap anyway?" He didn't know if Hayes had seen the camera and had been trying to point it out, or if he was actually a history nerd as well as a computer nerd. Either way, he'd marked it and they could talk more freely a bit later.
"Nerd," the blond corrected with a faint grin. "And hey, we're not weirdest 'couple' here." This was said as they left the pots exhibit (which really wasn't all that interesting) and went through the main gallery towards the Sky Plate exhibit, passing Tambrey and Jerome on their way. The wandering knots of museum-goers turned into an genuine loose crowd here, interested in the new exhibit on display and also drawn, like Murkrow, by shiny objects. Hayes paused to watch as a small child slipped between two talking adults and approached the display, eyes wide and movements self-conscious in the way of someone about to attempt a known misbehavior in a public place.
"Mmfh, I supposed not," Aulus replied with a shrug and a glance at the other supposed Rocket couple. "Remind me of the difference between a nerd and a dork again?" he said as he scanned the room for security cameras and possible improvised weaponry.
"Nerds like learning. Geeks like subculture. Dorks are awkward." A security guard appeared as if from thin air and put a polite hand and a smile in front of the child, who stared for a moment, caught and guilty, before it screwed up its face and retreated to find its parent. "I think there's a Venn diagram somewhere," Hayes added, nodding faintly as Lore passed by with a whispered instruction.
"Oh, right, of course." Aulus frowned thoughtfully. "So I guess that makes you a nerd and a geek, hu?" But less of a dork than he himself was. Awkward. Oh well, least he could hit anyone who pissed him off. Likewise nodding to Lore, Aulus raised his eyebrows slightly at Hayes to form a 'so what now?' expression.
"And a dork sometimes." Hayes glanced Aulus way, then turned away from the exhibit. "Gift shop?" he suggested. That would take them down to the first floor again, and from there to the rest of the Rockets.
"Sure." Maybe he could get something for Claire... on their way out. Hell, they were already stealing a valuable artifact, why not scope out a gift to lift just in case they did come out through the shop? "I wouldn't say you're very dorky," he added as an afterthought, "you're generally good with people."
"Most people," the programmer laughed.

Lore stood aside while the Rockets piled into the small space. When Jerome balked at the door he looked prepared to object, but watching the large man shimmy up and disappear above the large machinery, he shrugged instead. Nobody was going to find him up there, and if he was going to end up out of his wits with claustrophobia during the wait he'd be of little use to anyone.
Once the last Rocket squeezed inside Lore climbed in after them, carefully avoiding stepping on anyone, then shut the door, plunging them into darkness.
A moment passed.
"So. Who's up for charades?"
- - -
The evening spent in the closet was about as much fun as anyone would expect. The cramped quarters didn't allow the release of any pokémon, or much movement. They were allowed to use their pokédexes, at least. The small displays provided enough illumination for the Rockets to make each other out. They also helped keep track of the time. Those that were sleepy or bored were allowed to doze. This was a mission sure, but at the moment their only mission was to be still and quiet. You didn't need to be awake for that.
Finally Hayes shifted and turned his dimly illuminated face toward the door. It had been a long time since there'd been any footsteps. "It's past nine. I think we're good, guys."
Lore looked up from whatever he was doing on his pokédex. It had been making distinctly tetris-like noises for the last twenty minutes. "Oh hey, already? Man.. time flies when you're having fun." Wincing, he sat up, "Also I can't feel my legs."
Once the doors opened for the Rockets to stumble out Lore looked up at the Gengar who'd been occupying the ceiling, "Mind letting your trainer know we're good to go?" He stiffly exited the room along with the others, rubbing the small of his back, "So that was exciting. Now for the boring part where we steal a priceless artifact."

Aulus yawned and stretched, scrubbing his fingers through his hair as he came out of the closet....
As he exited the supply cupboard.
Once in the corridor he did a few stretched to limber up and checked his pokeballs; all still present and correct. "Anything we need to prepare to chat about, or can we just go?" he asked, directing his question more at Hayes than Lore. Yea, maybe he was still feeling just a little bit sniffy about this twit muscling in on Hayes' first command mission.

Hayes, on the other hand, was not. Or if he was, he wasn't saying anything about it, just looking over the Rockets as they tumbled out of the electrical room and getting a crick out of his shoulder. All there.. He glanced up at the ceiling to see if he could spot Jerome.
"Well hey, hold up." The elite, looking a bit rumpled after half a night wedged between the floor buffer and a stack of paper towel boxes, held up a hand to stay Aulus and nodded at Lore. Never mind the higher rank; he was the expert in this situation. "I saw cameras and motion detectors. Anything on your end?"

Bro had been extremely amused watching everyone in the tool closet, while he watched most of the time, and a few times he phased in and out of the closet, probably to float to where Jerome was, only to return back into the closet.
Oddly enough the Gangar behaved for the most part, and he didn't contribute any noise to their hiding. As they started to leave the tool shed, and Lore told bro to go get his trainer, Bro threw what looked like some kind of gang sign up, probably in acknowledgment because he had dissipated though the ceiling a second after.
Not long after that, as the last Rockets were coming out of the closet, a dark figure swung down from one of the pipes, catching his fall in a crouch before bouncing back to his feet and walking over to the rest of the group, Bro' floating behind him.

Fun? Only if fun involved forgetting to grab a coffee before going into hiding. Alba groaned as they... reentered the other room. He got out an aspirin to stave off the impending withdrawal headache that had started to poke at him behind the eyes.

It had been uncomfortable in the closet but at least there was the pokedexes. Xander had passed the time by reading some information he had on it about some explosives and studying Bro. They were out now though and he stuffed his pokedex into the bag he had and waited to see if they were ready to get this started.

Once he'd finished stretching and twisting and smoothing his hair, Lore plucked the two poké balls under his jacket out and released Espresso and Cappuccino. The two Whimsicotts blinked in the dim light and glanced around.
At Hayes' question he looked up, "Cameras and motion detectors." A nod, "Sensors on the glass too, but that's it. I didn't see anything else." He stretched an arm and rolled his shoulder, "I'll be honest it looked kinda lax out there for the sort of stuff they've got in this place. Wouldn't be surprised if there's more measures we couldn't see. Probably best to have our more incorporeal poké-buddies take point. They spot anything wacky they can give a heads up before we blunder into it."

Aulus gave a slight nod to his partner and stayed where he was for the time being. "So we have to disable them? Think there'll be alarms attached if and invisible pokemon went up to cut the wires or something?" This was not his area of expertise it was just a wild stab in the dark, which incidentally was much closer to what he was good at.

Tambrey had spent the time in the closet crouched or sat, trying to take up the least amount of space that she could, while she either read entries in her pokedex, or at one point, closed her eyes for nearly an hour. She didn't sleep, but she found the time spent with her eyes closed, if not restful, then helpful anyway.
She was all but ready to bolt from the cupboard as soon as it was time to exit and found herself stretching on reflex as soon as she had enough room to do so. Things were asleep, or aching, and neither was a pleasurable feeling to put up with. However, it was also enthusiasm for the task itself, for once, and not just the glee of escaping the cupboard, that lent a spring to Tambrey's cupboard exit. If she'd thought Lore was serious, she'd probably have found herself disagreeing; this point wasn't going to be boring at all! Sky Plate! Museum heist! ... Frak, the fact that they were in a museum after closing at all was fun. She stood to the side of the cupboard, watching the elites and waiting for instructions while she listened to the security talk.

So that would be.. not him. Hayes brushed some bangs out of his eyes and frowned faintly in the safety lights. While dim, they were much brighter than the closet they'd all been. "Avoid them," he suggested, "if you can. There's blind spots in all the halls; security is focused on the exhibits. Remember - we don't need to hurry unless they know we're here." Or, for that matter, break out the face-punching.

"Buggered if I know what those spots would be," Aulus shrugged, admitting ignorance with grudging ignorance. "I'll just follow somebody more used to sneaking around cameras I guess." i.e. Hayes, and that was even what he was kind of meant to be doing anyway!

Having never pulled off a theft like this before, Jerome was mostly quiet as he listen to the higher ranks discuss what their tactic would be, seeing if there would be anything Jerome himself would be able to do.
Brushing dust off of his light jacket, the gangster paused at the edge of the group, glancing around them before he settled his gaze between Hayes and Lore. At the mention of incorporeal pokemon, The Gangast next to Jerome perked up, gliding forward a bit and smirking at the high ranks with a snicker. "Gar Ganger!" he said, as if volunteering.
Alright! action! kinda...

At the talk of cameras and blind spots, Xander pulled out the note book and flipped to a certain page. "I wrote down a few places we can walk freely." He told Hayes and Lore. He quickly deciphered his code on another page and held it out for one of them to take. "It's not all of them though, just the ones I noticed." He then looked around at the others. "Anyone else notice any?"
